I'd say most of the bitcoin investments nowadays are from people looking to make more of that dirty green fiat money, instead of people looking to put a dent into the system. They are not destroying your ideal: they are assimilating it. That is fine for them. As long as I can still use bitcoins for what I want. I stopped caring what other people do long ago.
