4921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Gamblers! What is your excuse to avoid a game with 0% House Edge? on: December 21, 2020, 10:42:57 AM
0% house edge is a good promotion but you still need marketing to bring it to gamblers attention after 4 years relaunch.
As you say, it's just a promotion but can't make the casino keep going if it will forever like that.
And you're right with the marketing. The known casinos doesn't stop marketing even if their casinos are already popular.

Promotional offers hardly last more than one or two months. That said, online casinos have other avenues for funds apart from the house edge. One option is to g for advertisements. Most of the online sites avoid this, because it can be irritating for the gamblers. Another avenue is from deposit/withdrawal fee. An online casino can operate profitably, if they waive off the house edge, but at the same time slightly increase the deposit/withdrawal fee.

No matter what, the casino can search for other incomes, and they will still promote offers to many gamblers who do not come to their site. But some gamblers will not avoid a game with a 0% house edge, especially for a gambler who search for pleasure. Once a gambler found a place to play gambling and feel comfortable, they will not think much about the offers or the other promotional from the casino. They will think that it is a bonus for them to stay for a longer time.

I don't get it, casinos makes money through the house edge, that's the bread and butter of their business, without that they wouldn't make money. House edge has become a norms in casinos, and the competition here is the lowest house edge the more gamblers will play with them but never heard gamblers play in a casino because of no house edge, in fact gamblers might doubt if the casino is legitimate or not.

Bets have become extremely riskier presently compared to older ones when there were cheerleaders, fans in support, so the team's enthusiasm always remained boosted. Now, even the worst team is winning some great games shocking everybody who bets on low odds team and loses, especially in those bets where we lose due to one bet loss in a parlay. Theoretically, you can also say btc's supply is now 210 billion but it will not change anything practically.
you have to consider that scenario when you are betting, the world has change due to pandemic so probably the past information might not be so helpful. When there's no fans in the arena, the home court advantage might not be felt by the home team, so that should be consider as one factor when you are analyzing the game. Risk is always here, but you can reduce the risk if you are knowledgeable on what you do.
4923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Luke Campbell WBC Lightweight Interim Title (January 2) on: December 20, 2020, 11:21:56 PM

Yes, that left hook, specially the way he torque his body to generate power was sweet science itself. So I don't know how fighters like Campbell could prepare for it, specially if Garcia throws it so fast that he didn't see it. Just like what Davis did to Sta Cruz, Leo was competitive and playing good defense until that punch that he didn't see coming.

A fighter with that kind of power that Garcia has and the way he delivers it will always dangerous to his opponent, he delivers that left hook via counter punch and there's no way for his opponent to duck that left hook, Campbell hope is to fight him long distance if choose to go toe to toe he is big trouble, if he can take that left hook then he has a big chance to beat Garcia.
Good point, that should be Campbell's Plan A, do not go toe to toe and then try to push Garcia to long distance and like a chess match to at least have a chance because Garcia hasn't been tested to 8+ rounds in his career. Otherwise, Campbell being the aggressive will really very bad, so he should be patience and not get himself caught with that power punch and hope that Garcia faded in the late rounds because he is not used to it.

Garcia is obvious the favourite here by bookies. But wonder if the odds will change few days before the fight.
Will take a snapshot from bestodds and let's see how much it will change from today.

Campbell (1) vs. Garcia (2)

https://www.bestodds.ai/odds/sport-boxing/matchups/luke-campbell-vs-ryan-garcia

Will this be an inspiration for Campbell to be aggressive inside the ring. Let's find out...

No significant changes if there's one, it's always Garcia here who is the favorites because he is the undefeated and the champion.  At 1.30, I think that's a fair odds for Garcia and I believe this isn't a hard fight for him, he will win this fight probably at 80% chance, so the betting odds is just right.

Kai Sotto is putting all his efforts to make an NBA debut in the future. If he won't be listed in the NBA 2021 draft, I think he will still continue to work on NBA training camp. These players that dreamed of participating in the NBA do have pride so I don't think they will end up playing on PBA but only on the international league representing the Philippines.

For example, Kobe Paras is almost overqualified for becoming a PBA draftee but remains to play in the global league. After several years of training in the US, these type of players won't just accept the fact that they will instead land playing on the PBA. So to continue his goal, he will just play representing the country in international leagues. That's what I'm expecting too for Kai Sotto. He will not consider playing in PBA because of the pride but will play as a local squad in international competition for a much better impression. A good one as we need big man in international competition.
Isn't it that Kai is about to be drafted for NBA because he's already in the G-League? I'm surprised that there's a news that he's going to be part of Gilas Pilipinas then there will be veterans part of PBA that will be joining the team too. Kai has a bright future in whichever league he'll join.
I also doubt that he'll go to the PBA after all of his commitments and trainings that made on the US. He'll take the example of Thirdy Ravena that chose to play on Japan's through team, San-en NeoPhoenix.
There's no conflict of interest I believe, his contract with the G-league might be over soon, so he can still play at the FIBA. He wants to get drafted in the NBA, that's basically the reason why he is in the US now, but it's up to the NBA team now, he just have to play well in the G-League in order to be recognize.
I've seen good news for him before and that there's a certain NBA team that would love to draft him. But I've forgot what team is that.
Well, he's young and can explore more things but I'm sure this kid is aiming for more and whatever he's taking and will do right now is just a stepping now for his bigger dream.
With a lot of articles online especially those that are written by our fellowmen, you can certainly read information about how good he is, so I'm not surprise with that as we Filipinos love to support our "kababayan" and imagine what kind of pride it will bring to our country as there's no pure Filipino that has played in the NBA yet.

Too bad for Rodriguez,  most of the boxing fans thought he won the fight, and I'm sure he is expecting as well but can't believe with what has happened. He was not trying to be aggressive because he learn from his previous defeat against Inoue but that was the reason why he lose the fight.

Damn, I though it was a loss bet already, I was about to close my laptop and just accept the defeat even before the judges score was announce but then I realized maybe I'll just listen to the scores and I was really surprise that I won, I don't know, I'm a bit happy while sad at the same time because I believe Rodriguez here was cheated.
4927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 20, 2020, 09:20:57 PM
I believe this would help the team to improve their offence.

Juami Tiongson, Celda, Calvo sign short-term deals with Terrafirma

Juami Tiongson would help since he is a consistent 3 point shooter, unfortunately for these players that are signed, they don't possess the defensive skills and that's what the Terrafirma really needs now.

These players can't stay in one team, the reason is very simple, they are not so valuable, so probably they won't last in the PBA and we will see them out of contract soon. Rich teams always get the best players while teams like Terrafirma and Blackwater will get the leftover, no wonder they are always at the bottom in terms of standings.
4928  Economy / Speculation / Re: Congrats to everyone for reaching $20k again. on: December 18, 2020, 11:09:51 PM
personally I think we go up to about 30k then correct to about 21k

21k is about what miners need to mine.

But I don't know much I am in the dark as much as the others.

It's really possible, we past the previous ATH and this is like the previous bull run that everyone was into FOMO.
The scariest part is the correction to be honest, while people will get into FOMO, it's also expected that they will into panic once the correction starts.
4929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 18, 2020, 10:52:31 PM
But if you are going to look at the last 2 playoffs that they were eliminate, specially against the Raptors, he was too predictable that's why the Raptors was able to closed him out.

Then we can put the blame on his teammates for that. Raptors predicted what Giannis can do so what the other 4 on the floor did? Still rely on Giannis in the offense. In the following season, Giannis knows that problem so he began working on being a much unstoppable player on the paint and we have seen him crashing defense even his move is predictable. Other teams can't do anything as even they know Giannis' next move, it's useless as they can't even stop him when attacking the rim. That's what we called improving his main play instead of shifting to other courses such as doing outside shooting or become a better ball handler like Lebron, KD, Leonard, Harden, etc.

The Bucks' problem is not on how Giannis played. The adjustment should be done by his teammates.

His teammates will adjust if the coach will say so, probably the problem is on the coach because he didn't make an adjustment on the game. Giannis is very limited and he is too predictable, so the coach have to make a better plan to get his teammates involved and still make Giannis effective as a player despite of the limited production as he will be doubled as expected.

With how hype he is, I'm afraid he would just land with the SMB team.

Just saw this picture on social media with a caption "Does a Magnolia Hotshots Jersey look good on Kai Sotto?"

Do you have a glimpse of the future bro  Grin?

I agree with most of the users here that the ending of Kai's journey is the PBA. Don't bash me here, but i'm just telling what i have seen in him. He may not be the next Junemar Fajardo of the PBA because of the style of play but i saw him as the next Marlou Aquino but a better version.

Very thin, he looked like a young Rafi Reavis which is still active with the Magnolia uniform. Well, we never really know where he would land if he will play in the PBA, but one thing is sure, big teams will be looking for him, the competition is probably between Cojuangco and Pangilinan.

There's a lot of hype about him, just like when Kobe Paras was still in the US, hopefully he will not fail, but if even he will, we will be happy to see him in the PBA with Magnolia uniform, lol.
4931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ]: Boxing - Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev - JOSHUA WINS IN ROUND 9 on: December 18, 2020, 12:16:20 PM
AJ won't be fighting anyone for a while anyway so I think Fury should just take the trilogy fight, secure the biggest bag of his career then he can move on to the AJ fights. No point dragging it out in arbitration which could go on a very long time when Fury can put an end to it and everyone can move on.
This is a big disappointment, we were expecting a mega fight next year and yet this news came. So as long as AJ hold those belts he would not fight Fury as he is afraid to lose all of those, hmmm.. very clever man, he is not a real champion for me now.
4932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 17, 2020, 11:24:15 PM
Which means he needs to improve, unfortunately, Giannis is not a good ball handler, he doesn't have the skills like Lebron James who can play as PG. Giannis best chance to be efficient inside the court is to master his 3 point shooting, because if not, he will be so easy to predict.

It's unfair for Giannis that some people want or expect him to do that ball handling, 3 points, or simply a jump shot. It's out of his league. It's even a bonus already for the Bucks that he sometimes does a 3 point shot.

We all know his specialty. He's a Power Forward when he entered the league and he is dominant in that position. Ball handling should be done by his teammates instead. Same with doing 3 points shots. The Bucks just can't find yet a better squad for Giannis.
It's a nice to haves to see Giannis shooting three, I'm not saying that we should expect him to shoot 3's every game, but at least added that to his arsenal. The key here is for Giannis to be unpredictable, yes he is a power forward and needs to penetrate the paint to score. But if you are going to look at the last 2 playoffs that they were eliminate, specially against the Raptors, he was too predictable that's why the Raptors was able to closed him out.

The problem is he has not been unpredictable yet, and yes he is shooting 3's but how was the accuracy on that.
He might add it in his arsenal but if he will use it when he does not have a good shooting percentage, then I would not be surprise it will hurt the team.

IMO, Brook Lopez their center is a good shooter than him.
4933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 17, 2020, 10:53:17 PM
I wonder if Kai will become the next Junemar Fajardo because of his height. However, he still need to become more tough inside the court. But I know that as his age added, his body will grow and become more tough.

No as a next JMF. He will instead become the next Greg Slaughter. Smiley

Let's accept the fact that Kai Sotto won't be tough anymore in terms of muscle fight on the inside area. His body won't become built of the likes of JMF. That's the disadvantage of a height within that level. It has a cost if he will shift into pure bulky. He can't do both at the same time.

What he needs to be is the likes of Yao Ming that focus on good shooting percentage instead of mostly battling inside as it will be an advantage for him with the lack of tall players in PBA, if ever he will be drafted in the league.

Kai Sotto will surely be drafted in the PBA if he would want to get drafted,
100% agree with you, PBA is lacking of big man and any team could go after Kai Sotto.
With how hype he is, I'm afraid he would just land with the SMB team.

but for now, he is chasing his biggest dreams which is to play in the biggest league in the world which is the NBA. Some are hyping him while some does not believe he can make it, it's a mix opinion but let's see how his journey will end up in the US because if he fail, there's still PBA that is willing to accept him.

He was hoping though,

Kai Sotto hopes his G League stint will raise his ranking for the 2021 NBA Draft

If he will not get drafted in 2021, we might see him in the PBA.

It might take time but we know JuneMar is a tough guy, he can still make the team better even if he will not really score his usual, as long as he is in the inside, the entire team's confidence will be back again. I'm looking forward to that, just like me, people also expect a lot of the consistent MVP in the league.
I agree. Having a big guy like Junemar inside the perimeter will still make him able to do. As long as he's inside/under the ring, he can consistently contribute through defense.
We've seen him many times and still he is a beast inside. Actually it's not the first time that he was injured but he was still able to come back, with his height, he can use that to intimidate those who like to drive inside and even grab easy rebounds, that's why people believe in him.

His humbleness also makes him a better player and a better person, he follows his coaches without complains so I'm confident he will be back, maybe the injury would affect him in the beginning but in the long run we will be able to see the same JMF.

4937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 14, 2020, 09:56:30 PM
Most probably because he will be coming back strong next conference, he was already starting to practice, so that means he can already play with physical contact and I expect him to be the same June Mar which we called the Kraken, SMB will dominate again or they are already taken over by the Ginebra?

I'm not expecting JuneMar to go fully in his 100% once he returned. His injury is serious that it needs a whole conference as a resting period.

And besides, SMB should just maintain to be in playoffs contention so that JuneMar is not forced to play at his best. Reserving his energy to the playoffs instead.

And when the times that it's now on playoffs, JuneMar can now push to his 100%.

It might take time but we know JuneMar is a tough guy, he can still make the team better even if he will not really score his usual, as long as he is in the inside, the entire team's confidence will be back again. I'm looking forward to that, just like me, people also expect a lot of the consistent MVP in the league.

I think Australia is last position in gamble of that gamble the most. I think the first position should to be go European countries like UK, America and London etc.

Obviously most of us here favored Fury to win, I'm guilty as well, I love the personality of Fury in the ring, he is a real entertainer, and he is really a skillful boxer and that's the reason he is the king in heavyweight division. Both of them should agree this fight will happen soon, fans would love it, and they will pay for the PPV, I don't know how the sharing would be, but I believe a 50/50 is a fair share as they are both champions.

honestly, I can't hide my excitement, I can't wait to see this.
