4921  Economy / Speculation / Re: Now that we touched $8,000, what's next? on: January 28, 2020, 09:55:49 AM
We’re already on $9k mark and may reached another resistance too. It may not only because of the corona or the Chinese New year. Halving is also approaching that many users want to grab the momentum to buy and get some profit before or after halving.
I don't think that the reason for this pump is the Novel Corona Virus news. But, there really could be a connection however, I'm not thinking that there's something with that. For the Chinese New Year, it's already done and I don't think there's still relation to it.

Because for the past years, the effect of CNY is always a dumping. But with the scenario now, we're seeing a pump instead.
4922  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE.me - Crypto Casino 🎰 Now Accepting EOS | Roll Hunt | Bonuses on: January 27, 2020, 09:36:35 PM
Is it amount bet only for a week? 3 BTC for a week is so much for me Grin
It isn't much for them, wait until another wager competition comes out and you will see the huge amounts that will be participating on that future competition. Just like what happened with the past contests.

We're not a whale so obviously it is too much for us.  Cheesy
4923  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Which Country Will Implement BTC/Crypto As Official Payment First ? on: January 27, 2020, 09:04:32 PM
Official? it will be difficult that a country will do that. They wouldn't prefer a decentralized cryptocurrency to be declared like that. But, they always have a choice to do that if not, it will come be as an alternative payment option.

I remember the news somewhere in states that they're now allowing to pay tax directly with bitcoin and they're using a third party service so that payment will automatically be converted to the current price of bitcoin and retain the amount of payment.
4924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: By now, is it worth to invest in major altcoins for the long term? on: January 27, 2020, 08:40:01 PM
Major or minor, you have to apply the DYOR method. Because the market is volatile no matter how many people's opinion will be considered. As far as your concern, invest to altcoins that you like and you think will give you an excellent return.

But if you have no idea on it, don't waste your effort for it. If you think that there's no need for a major altcoin to be into your own portfolio, start making it like that one.
4925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So this is what 21 million bitcoins look like. on: January 27, 2020, 12:52:46 PM
I started my own coin collection lately although this piece is a paper bill, this looks amazing. As someone who's into bitcoin, I might add this to my collection in the future.

It looks like a real one but it's better if it isn't 21M btc.
4926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: On most altcoins disappearing on: January 27, 2020, 11:15:42 AM
The total market cap of those altcoins that will be exterminated will go to bitcoin and few alts that you're referring to. And obviously, this is beneficial for both of them but about the scams.

It's not just about scam altcoins but also those schemes that are using bitcoin to receive investments from their victims. The hyip, ponzis, pyramiding and other kinds of scams that are asking for bitcoin investments. There's no guarantee that they will not lose money if there are people in the community who are still not aware of these scams and can be a potential victim.
4927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the Stellar Price Gear up in 2020? on: January 27, 2020, 10:47:21 AM
Who's this "walletinvestor"? every time there is a prediction about a coin, there's always this guy or group that's giving their prediction. I don't see any problem with that but they are always the same if they are a sure bag holder of that coin.

I don't have Stellar anymore and I have no plans for now but it's one of the top coins so I think that whenever bitcoin goes up, Stellar and others will also rise.
4928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: RVN good to invest ? on: January 27, 2020, 09:26:12 AM
I have never invest to Ravencoin but I've seen the active community that it has and I think with that, the coin will make it even more active in development because of the continuous interaction of its community together with the developers.

I have also seen some merchants in the marketplaces that's okay of accepting this coin. I think to be specific that was in auction, cmiiw.
4929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Telegram Blockchain going to be shut down? on: January 24, 2020, 11:53:33 PM
I have joined in a telegram group called GRAM ASIA where they kept sharing all the updates about SEC and Telegram. On 14th January they announced all funds will be refunded! Is that mean they are going to shut down? If yes, then this will be the saddest news of the year!
I think they've been a hot project for the eyes of the government. Maybe they can't provide the necessary details that were asked to them by a certain government agency then they can't provide it.

So, instead of going on, they'll just have to refund the money of the investors. I think this is a good action on their part because very few projects are doing this if something troubles with their project.
well that's why ,not disclosing the details of the actual data seeing in terms of security may indeed not be disclosed because of privacy as well ,the insistence on demands be a polemic for him too even though the judge refused the SEC motion for a telegram might be very big
This is one of the biggest ICO ever and they have made a round 2 for it just last year. The first ICO they've made which gathered billions of dollars didn't even have any updates for their investors and I didn't invest on it that's why I don't know what exactly has happened.

But this time, still I didn't but there's more exposure and information that's coming out from this ICO and the intervention of the government is becoming serious. They are not going easy on Telegram's second ICO.
4930  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BEWARE what you visit! Google's new design makes Ads look like normal results! on: January 24, 2020, 11:25:12 PM
Nice catch, this will appear if you're use keywords upon searching the right website. But, if you will simply bookmark these websites, you will be far from this kind of trouble of dealing with these fake websites.

I think only newbies can't understand.but there is a text Ad in the left. Previously it was highlighted but now not highlighted, but majority percent will understand that is an ad.
Yes, there is. But users that doesn't care about their browsing activity will not take a look with that small sign.

https://cryptochainuni.com/scam-list/
https://deadcoins.com/

there are so many of them, you can find them on those websites.
Good lists and I'd like to add another one.

Do you have any reason why you want to list them OP? these websites are already doing it for us.

4933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1.1 BTC Puzzle by Phemex on: January 24, 2020, 09:50:46 PM
They have released the 21 digits prime number with their latest tweet and it says that some hints can be found on their blog.

I think still no one finds the correct answer until now, but there's someone who got the 21 digits prime number. Good luck to those who will try to solved the puzzle.

It's really a good strategy how they put up like this kind of puzzle, it's a good marketing having a 1.1 BTC plus 1 BTC as a bonus that's why they gained so much popularity now, for sure many project will have a marketing strategy like this one.
The 21 digits to find out isn't enough to solve the puzzle. It's actually the first step and I saw that guy on their twitter that got the correct prime numbers but nothing happened.

I think we will see now a new marketing strategy in the coming years for those exchanges that want to compete with other established ones. And this is going to be through puzzle solving with high hidden prizes.

4935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fiat-Crypto Payments Network on: January 23, 2020, 11:30:02 PM
Square is a popular app and it's one of the companies that supports crypto. Soon other payment methods like this will follow what Square is doing.

And the CEO of it is none other Jack Dorsey who claimed himself as a bitcoin supporter.
4936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin’s Next Peak May ‘Only’ Be $80,000, Says Analyst on: January 23, 2020, 11:09:30 PM
Ok, it's nothing new and it's just another analyst that calls bitcoin at high price.

I like to see such predictions and it is really stimulating our belief to bitcoin. But we have to be real and near to the possible prices and I say that this price is possible to see but we have to stick with the price that we have for now. I want to see those high prices badly but it will not come instantly.

I stopped enjoying reading them a long time ago if I'm honest, and it's so boring now that even guys like John McAfee have went back on their word. Not that I ever took him word for word. All these guys are just full of hot air and empty promises
Sometimes it's fun to read especially if there is something new that we haven't heard and read before.

But most likely it always the same thought from these analysts. They have nothing to say new and it goes like that they are bullish with bitcoin which is most of us are and giving high prices to encourage other investors to come in.
4937  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Google ads misleading people. on: January 23, 2020, 10:44:10 PM
They really don't care about the ads that they are delivering to their users. I think it's been discussed here many times and the only thing that we can do is to report every scam ads that we see.

Filtering should be done by them but as long as it pays for the ads, responsibility should be on us because when someone uses Chrome and searches anything that relates to crypto then ads like this will pop up.
4938  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: if you want to read bitcoin and other crypto news here are the sites to go on: January 22, 2020, 06:05:30 AM
We also have the section that's very specific only for news and other press releases.

Press

The news that were posted also have the source of the article but sometimes it's not coming from those websites that was mentioned by op.

4940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Numbers Continue Exploding in Spite of ICO History on: January 22, 2020, 02:26:40 AM
Because they don't study the history of ICO's and all they think is that they'll still get a chunk of profit upon investing. But it's not like that anymore because it's on totally new situation now and it's about to die.
It is not because they do not study about the market, they just do not have the idea to make things successful nor wanted to complete the project, all they want to do is to come up with the idea and start collecting money and they know that they will get some investment and that is what they are looking for, stay away from any projects that are coming up in the next one year as all are eyeing for the market rally to cash out.
I'm talking about the investors and not the developers. But you're right with the developers perspective but success doesn't come overnight and if there is some formula that they have to know then it is to understand that ICO is no longer a good hype maker this day.

Yes, with that idea. They will recycle all of those ideas and the habit that they have with the previous projects that they've done. If the first project they've made became successful, later on they will abandon it to create a new one.
They recycle the same idea again with a new marketing strategy and that is happening in the market for a long time.
No, the marketing strategy is always the same and there's nothing new with those.
