4961  Local / Brasil / Re: GANHE BITCOINS DE GRAÇA COM O BITBÔNUS DA BITFY! on: June 29, 2020, 12:15:43 PM
Eu sugiro aumentar esse valor aí.

R$5 para criar conta, verificar e comprar BTC? Eu só começaria a me mexer a partir dos R$ 20. Tongue

4962  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: CAMPANHAS DE ASSINATURAS ATUALIZADAS on: June 28, 2020, 06:53:26 PM

yes, I remember the transition between devs wasn't so smooth and there was some drama.
maybe this thread didn't close because it wasnt possible to close it without the original dev?

anyways, would it be better to open a new thread?
4964  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie should trade or not? Please give me idea. on: June 27, 2020, 08:21:43 PM
I have tried several times as a trader, but I was not lucky. I connected a trading bot to my account, and only then did I start getting a profit.
I've heard about trading bots for a long time, but I've never encountered them. Is there a chance for a beginner to learn how to use the bot and earn money from it? Shocked
A lot of useful information can be found here. Don't be lazy, get acquainted. https://tradingbot.info Cool

regarding bots isn't it better to learn a bit of pine script and code your own?
or using a service like shrimpy and creating rules for rebalance.
or even token sets. have you heard about it?
https://www.tokensets.com/

many possibilities in this market...
4965  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 effect on your country's economy!!! on: June 27, 2020, 03:28:47 PM
I like to remember the fact that in a crisis money doesn't disappear, it's not burned (most of the time).
but the cards get scrambled again and redistributed.
money changes hands.

here in Brazil we're seeing a big increase on ecommerce sales and infoproducts.

I don't have the data regarding local commerces but for sure restaurants took a hit and are selling less and only delivery/take away.

general unemployment rates are also raising, of course.
4966  Economy / Economics / Re: The Covid19 Curve is Flattening on: June 27, 2020, 03:25:48 PM
<snip>
But I don't think if the virus will keep spreading, WHO had alternative treatments even if there are no vaccines yet. They called anti-bodies to fight the covid19 virus.

That will be very interesting if WHO has an alternate treatment to prevent the spread of covid-19. How does this antibody works? is there a credible resource that one can look up to know how this alternate treatment work?  is this already being used by WHO? kindly send to this thread.

as far as I've heard there are no confirmed treatments yet, and we don't even have confirmation that people really get immunized and can't contract covid again.
right know eveything is uncertain.

better safe than sorry
4967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [POW] [XHV] Haven Protocol - untraceable payments x stable value storage on: June 27, 2020, 03:20:46 PM
makes sense, thanks for the information, I wasn't sure if GUI wallet was working or not

anybody else here having problems?
is there a web wallet?

don't even want to sell now but just want to make sure coins can be moved if needed.

Yes there is a web wallet, your sync your own wallet with your own GUI wallet seed.

Here: https://havenprotocol.org/login

thanks, biggest question is, why not updating OP with the new and correct links, or close this topic and open a new topic for Haven?
I remember there were some changes on the organization team, if the OP account is no longer accessible wouldn't it be better to open a new thread?
noticed that the twitter there is inactive and the new handle is:
https://twitter.com/HavenXHV

staying like it is can be a bit confusing for newcomers.
4968  Economy / Economics / Re: What if this pandemic persists till the end of the year? on: June 26, 2020, 06:05:13 PM
there must be a strong desire to be able to respect each other by continuing to implement existing health protocols to prevent continued transmission.

health protocol:
-Wear a mask both healthy and sick.
-Keep the distance between people at least 1.5 meters.
- washing hands from touching anything outside the home.
-Do not hold around the face area before washing hands.

because usually the neglect that is done is very pronounced and often done without care, for example the use of masks alone is still a lot of neglect. how do you want to break the chain of transmission if a small thing is not followed correctly. sorry for those who already care but eventually contaminated it because of dishonorable actions taken by people who do not comply with health protocols.

as long as there are no drugs and vaccines only that way (according to strict health protocol) can break the chain of transmission so it does not continue to dissolve and continue to grow.
on point

there are some theories that the disease may become endemic, so we'll learn to live with it and adopt secure protocols
kind like HIV/AIDS in the past.

Taleb talks a bit more about the importance of masks here:

Hhampuz, out of hurry I made a small mistake and put my post count wrong (selected activity instead of post count) correct number should be 2903 and not 1106, I'm so sorry, hope this is not a problem, just saw it on the main spreadsheet

so far I made 5 valid posts and will make the other 10+ along the next days
sorry for the mistake
It would be better if you also send PM and tell the manager about your problem. So far I see the number of your posts in the spreadsheet hasnt changed, so consider sending a PM to the manager.

will do it right now
good idea

DONE:
but may not be a big problem since all the information is public and verifiable.

another thing to add for newbies is:

money comes for providing value
don't have money as a goal, understand how you can add value and solve problems on this community (and in all communities you are in life)

for experienced users:

remember:
it costs nothing to encourage a newbie:

Hi, yeah ofc i tried:

<...>

Hmmm i do not use it that often, to have such number of transactions.

Its depressing i need to wait so long for their response... beeing really not sure what is it.

The procedure you mentioned, is it complicated?

quoting to include the image.

so, the way to restore your wallet that Lucius talke about is quite simple.
you download another wallet that support restoration from seed (like mycelium or Trust Wallet) and then you restore a wallet from seed there (you probably saved your seed when creating the wallet, right? otherwise the only way is waiting for their answer)
4974  Economy / Economics / Re: Very strange most people like to buy with bitcoin , but using altcoins very few on: June 25, 2020, 03:09:53 PM
Very strange thing i noticed: most people like to buy with bitcoin , but using altcoins very few

I think all clients i had from bitcointalk prefer to use bitcoin to buy services / products they needed ...

Not a single client that i had until now used altcoins like ethereum ,litecoin etc or tokens like usdt, usdc ....

Why do you think people don't like to use altcoins to buy things on the internet ?
You are stating something different than what I have seen. I agree most people are buying bitcoins and then storing it but they are also buying altcoins but they are using it on availing services for the reason of cheaper transaction fee and also for quicker confirmation so that they can start looking to things other than getting stuck and waiting for their payments to get confirmation.

Different people must be having different perception on bitcoin and altcoin usage; the people you have watched might be using the services where no altcoins is being accepted. Or, for bitcoin payments, they might be getting some bigger discounts compared to altcoin payments. These are the things which makes people to go using bitcoin rather than using fiats or altcoins.

I also believe that it is much cheaper and faster to make payments in altcoins. It is obvious that BTC is calculated by those who do not have altcoins at their disposal. And this is due to the fact that altcoins have lost much more of their price than bitcoin.

these are all valid points.
good to remember too that there are theories that if we can't scale a solution like lightining than it'll be better to use altcoins as a mean of payment and keeping the king BTC only as store of value,
which makes sense too.

Hello every body.I am a Newbie. I joined Crytopia about four months ago. I hold ont and dog Now I want to practice to trade .Please help me give some idea for Newbie as me, I should trade or not? I really want to receive the instruction of the go-ahead, thank a lots.  Kiss Kiss
hey, do you have funds in Cryptopia? I see you created this thread in 2018 and I see Cryptopia having a problem, I hope your assets are safe now,
switch to Binance to trade because many coins have the potential to rise there

kind off but cryptopia has been out of the market for a while now and investors don't have much hope to recover their crypto.
you can keep up with what is going on their twitter account:
https://twitter.com/Cryptopia_NZ

but things are not looking good.

--//--

regarding starting to trade as a newbie
the most important thing you have to learn is risk management.
check this article:

its one of the best ones around and makes all very clear.

4978  Economy / Economics / Re: [CHART] Bitcoin Inflation vs. Time on: June 24, 2020, 03:16:08 PM
Sad should we wait for so long till 2030>!

Actually, if you are just getting started in bitcoin, then 10 years would be a pretty good investment timeline to build up the quantity of your bitcoins.

In the scheme of things, even 10 years is fairly short for an investment timeline and to really establish your position, even though bitcoin has shown the ability of investors to profit quite well in the short term, too.   Yet, many times traditional investment timelines tend to take 30 years or longer to really bear fruit... and frequently there will be needs for persistence and even smart investment and preserving capital while building capital.

In regards to bitcoin, there could be up to 3 upwards and downwards cycles between now and 2030, though, so it is good to prepare for those kinds of cyclical possibilities, too... .even though none of the BTC price action matters are even close to guaranteed, there are merely a variety of decent BTC price prediction models, that so far seem to be valid, which would include the stock to flow model amongst the most well known of the current seemingly valid BTC price prediction models.
I believe in bitcoin. But despite this, I will not risk investing part of the capital in bitcoin for 10 years. It is better to choose gold - even if I increase my capital, but at least I will not lose. Because how Bitcoin will behave in 10 years is unknown.

why not doing both?
Like is more than 0s and 1s.
if you're in a hurry and think 10 years is too long you could still adjust exposure to bitcoin and gold in a desired %.

but take into account that upside for BTC is much higher than for gold.
bitcoin scarcity will never change (code is law)

gold amount could change in the world, we could find new spots to mine it or even asteroids
(have you seen this? https://theprint.in/opinion/giant-asteroid-has-gold-worth-700-quintillion-but-it-wont-make-us-richer/260482/ )
4979  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Phishing Uniswap and bestchnage.com (idex) on: June 24, 2020, 03:11:07 PM
thanks a lot for the information.
a good practice too is to bookmark exchange URLs to avoid phishing websites and never click on email links or search links for exchanges.

some nasty scammers could even push phishing links on google paid search results in the past.
