I don't understand what people expect...
I mean imagine if the EU Parliaments gets wind of people avoiding capital control by using bitcoin in a bigger scale... They will make buying Bitcoin illegal asap...
Despite it wouldn't effect Bitcoin itself it would make the price drop below 100$...

Let bitcoin take baby steps and not let it fall and get seriously injured because we are greedy...
The situation is already very heated... They will do everything to safe the euro now.
What's your point here? In that case anyone who bought in time would be the one who has a great benefit.
Bitcoin is just legal in way too many places so far, ruling in favor of it is the right call to make. Any country that has banned it will probably remove that ban eventually.

Besides, you can avoid controls if you cash out and buy into gold. That never made gold illegal, did it?
It's good to see that we're seeing some positive movement again.

Are the currency controls legal somehow? ^^ might ask assfucked greek about that.

german news are talking about gradually increasing withdrawal limits over the week in greek. starting today at 60 € to 20 € over the week per person per day.

someone evil could think that this is a huge blackmail.

shit gets real.

don't worry, German voters are dumb like horseshit, they will keep voting Merkel and keep paying forever  Cool

Euro is a political project so it will be supported at all costs, no matter what

Greek people are very smart parasites with 2000+ years of experience, and Germans are the world's dumbest hosts, they like being buttfucked by their leaders  Cheesy

nono, this time it seems merkel is prepared for maximum pain.

german tv is already running amok about grexit and that it is the best solution.

/edit

sigmar gabriel was even talking about germany being prepared to deliver humanitarian aid after a possible grexit   Roll Eyes

I have been screaming here for the last 2 weeks or so about the need to restructure the Greek debt, but no one is willing to listen to me.

They already got a 50% cut on all private debt (all bond holders lost half of their value, whether banks or private persons).
The only requirement was to have a positive balance before interests or loan paybacks.  They didn't manage.

Quote
The only way the troika will get (at least a part of) their money back is by restructuring the Greek debt. If the Greek debt is restructured, the local economy will get a boost, thereby increasing the tax revenues. As a result, the Greeks will be able to payback at least a part of their debt.

The Greek state doesn't actually have a debt problem, they have a deficit problem.  80% of state spending is on retirement and on public servant salaries and other allowances.

The point is not so much that the EU wants its money back.  The point is moral hazard.  Greece is small and a few billions could be thrown at it without most EU citizens noticing.  But if Greece gets this deal, then why did Spain, Ireland and Portugal make such efforts ?  Then why wouldn't Italy also go back to some serious deficit spending ?  Hey, why wouldn't even France get its debt restructured ?
One cannot be nice to Greece because it has a totally ill structured state budget doing systematic deficit spending, and ask others to apply severe restructuration
.

Totaly agree the main problem is broken trust and a lot of void promises.

This will not only be a huge hit to greece but the eurozone overall.
4966  Economy / Speculation / Re: What does it take for Bitcoin to go 100X? on: June 28, 2015, 05:11:30 PM
They have to eventually, if Argentina and Many S america and Africa countrys will acept it, then USA will have no choice.

The US trade volumes with South America and Africa is not very significant. The three main trade partners of the United States are China, Saudi Arabia, and the European Union. If the Saudis convey the message to the Americans that they will sell their crude only for BTC, then the US guys are royally f*cked. They'll have no choice, but to secure their crude with BTC.  Grin

in this case the US will just start Operation "Freedom for Saudi-Arabia" and invade them.

Well it's official... Bloomberg: Greek Banks to Remain Closed Monday: Piraeus Bank CEO

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-06-28/running-out-of-cash-greece-counts-on-ecb-to-avert-black-monday

Tuesday is the deadline, will they be open on Tuesday ready for the bank run? Or will there be a last minute "deal" tomorrow in an attempt to quell the Tuesday rush on banks?

no deals anymore - there will be a referendum where the greece people will decide.

the funny thing:
the referendum is at sunday, but until then the offer from EU and IMF is already void.
so in fact it is all just a bullshit show.

Tbh it didnt really make me wonder how many people said yes if i look at the scams going on.
Money seems to be everything for you guys and i will tell you it is just wrong.

Maybe someday you people will realize.

That's true but you cant pay your bills with morals.

But it is ok to pay it with the blood of other people?

No but scamming and killing are two different things.

My comment was related to the OP, but depending on the scam there will be killings following...

4975  Economy / Speculation / Re: [prediction] Next spike $560,000 14 months from now on: June 21, 2015, 09:14:06 PM
$560,000 bitcoin with a 3600 daily mining reward means that the bitcoin mining industry alone would be a $735,840,000,000 per year industry. In 2007, the annual worldwide gold production was 2500 tonnes (80 million ounces) worth $54,000,000,000 at $675 per ounce.  (http://www.gold-eagle.com/article/tiny-size-gold-market)

So bitcoin's mining industry, after 6 years of existence, would be worth over 13x (735,840,000,000 / 54,000,000,000 = 13.63) the WORLDWIDE gold mining industry. Over 13x. Think about all the mining companies in Alaska, Russia, China, etc. All worth 13x less than the BITCOIN mining industry.

That's the kind of crack that we're smoking here.

You don't seem to understand the difference between a temporary bubble induced price and a sustainable long term price. It is perfectly possible for the exchange price to rise far higher than the mining costs or drop far lower than existing mining costs. You also seem to be under the delusion that the block reward will be 3600 coins forever when in fact it is falling exponentially.

Less crack, more reading old chap.

2. Yes, a temporary spike can go high, but $560,000 is simply too much ground to cover. The bubble would become very fragile by the time it got to the $XX,XXX level and pop long before $560,000. Dozens of people would be becoming paper billionaires and some of them would be smart enough to hit the sell button.

not that i agree to this thread, but last year we had 3200 €/bitcoin for like 8 hours on a euro exchange with volume when price was 2xx $ everywhere else.
alot of weird things happen in the bitcoin universe!

4979  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Families sue US govt, seek official apology over drone killings in Yemen on: June 18, 2015, 08:36:41 PM
If muslims were forced to compensate for every killing they have done for the last 1400 years, there won't be a single muslim left on earth. Every strand of hair, every teeth and blood will be used to repay the world for their ignorance, bigotry, racism, slavery, and genocide.

The United States of America was created after exterminating the native American Indians who lived there for many thousands of years before the arrival of the Europeans. Christian missionaries played a large role in the extermination, and people such as the "blessed" Junípero Serra single handedly wiped out entire ethnic groups (such as the Tongva). Does that mean that some one should kill all the Christians using whatever means available?

LOL Smiley

95% of the so called native americans were killed by disease way before their contact with europeans became significant. I bet you are stupid enough to believe in the pathetically selective 'blanket theory' too.

Natives did much to exterminate themselves as much as any 'christian' did to them - and from what I recall there's nothing stopping them today from having more children or gaining rights the same as any other man in US - even more advantageous than a recent immigrant like myself certainly. They are certainly not required to pay special taxes or are forced to live somewhere. Your assertion that christian missionaries played an important role is like saying potato peel is at fault for being cut by a knife - no one was running away or afraid of missionaries, certainly not 'natives'. If the so called natives paid for their ignorance, bigotry, and racial attitude against others with their lives, isn't that justice? Or does your standard only apply on the EVIL white/west? Grin

Why not find blame with how the japs wiped out the native population before their mainstream ethnic group made japan? Why not china, india, russia? There isn't a single decent sized country on earth that didn't rise out of some conflict or another that resulted in a dominant faction taking over.

The key difference is that there hasn't been a single significant movement or will for muslims to rectify their ways, as opposed to other peoples, and not only endorses the practice of racial and cultural warfare, but fully supports it with both silent consent and active reinforcement.

When the hell was the last time a significantly christian country rose up to declare a crusade?

Your pathetic attempt at trying to equivocate the supposed western 'sins' with that of an active rapist and murders speaks volumes about your ulterior motive and lack of independent thought Cheesy

much bullshit, many idiocy. it's not even worth a reply.

btw. it is just 75 years ago since the catholic church supported hitler and nazi germany  Wink

Tallos...
