4981  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BITCOIN TRANSACTION ACCELERATOR FREE AND PAID – LIST on: April 19, 2019, 04:17:22 AM
Since you brought this topic Up, I will write my experience with ViaBTC's accelerator.

I noticed that the info below the page "we only accept the first 100txs in every hour (starting every Hour:00)" doesn't count for TXs with high transaction fee like 60-100sat/byte.
Everytime I tried to submit a high fee transaction, it always got included regardless of the time (Even @HH:50).
But with Txs with the minimum transaction fee of 10sat/byte, it always got rejected if I try past the first 10 minutes (ex. 7:10AM)

So, you may include something like this to the OP:
Make sure to time it right, submit your transaction ID exactly at "Hour o'clock" or at least 10 seconds to a minute later.
4982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ATI HD 5870 1GB Monero on: April 19, 2019, 02:45:50 AM
GPUs are probably too old so no newish miner software would not have support for them. The oldest they support at the 7000 series I believe.
won't even work on all of the HD 7000 series now it seems, because everything under the 7750 is actually TeraScale. and the R5 235X and under is also terascale, isn't AMD's branding great?
edit: unrelated, but also hilarious I noticed I'm still a "newbie" even though I signed up for bitcointalk in '13, and somehow have only made ~30 posts in that time edit2: and suddenly now I'm a jr member after saying that.
On-topic: Nvidia has almost the same branding, but Nvidia or even Intel do not actually call it branding, they call it "codename".
Don't know about AMD's architecture naming scheme though.

Off-topic: But if you haven't received that 1 merit from CjMapope, you'll be stuck as a newbie.
4983  Other / Meta / Re: Is it possible to remove old animated avatars? on: April 19, 2019, 02:33:36 AM
theymos mentioned that he may remove them someday but since he's too busy, it will take a while:

OK, APNGs are now detected. Old ones are grandfathered for now, in part because people have ongoing campaigns, but in the future I might (or might not) go through and remove them.

Stake Campaign's remaining animated avatars are easy to find though, all you have to do is look at the spreadsheet and check each participant's profiles.
If you think that it's really annoying, then make a thread with list of users with annoying animated avatars and report it to the admin for manual removal.
4984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ??? on: April 18, 2019, 05:36:41 AM
Okay, I got this txID: c76666d39b71ccd0e3489d911e9513173afb8d4e577dc8ebb030f467a03bcb4f based from the raw tx (your assumed lost bitcoins)
It's the latest transaction of the address linked in the OP and it was a successful transaction with more than enough confirmations.
There's no problem in Bitcoin network's side.

If you believe that it's missing in your exchange account, the problem is in their system, you should contact their customer support.
Can you tell us the name of the market/Exchange?
4985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ??? on: April 18, 2019, 03:55:21 AM
Without any info, no one can tell what happened, try to answer these questions first:

  • Which wallet (and version):
Bitcoin Core, Electrum, Mycelium or Online wallets like Blockchain.com?
  • Do you have the control of the private keys:
Did you make the wallet or received it from someone else?

Based from your reply, it seems like there's someone else who knows your SEED, private key or wallet file that have sent the second transaction.
4986  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ??? on: April 18, 2019, 03:43:42 AM
Uh, care to explain what happened?

In very simple terms:
From the link, the person who have the private key of the address: 17GNYZZ9y1Woyv5JdqLcAEJeYaQyRDTx2D had sent 0.00231565 BTC to 1GR1KivrjCJsdT1obBUpNyEwpy6neo8vLL and 0.00063459 BTC (could be a change address) to 1BVSb8mdWxqGXxRy5Tcx1YbwX9Zr9RSio.
The previous "spent" balance came from the address bc1qxj8ujgfxhqetmecv8q0r6rz2u2pma5h5gnc2qg.

I suggest to move this to Bitcoin Technical Support and provide more info abut the incident, wallet name and version.
There's a "move" button on the lower-left side of the page.
4987  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Understanding Electrum on: April 18, 2019, 03:09:21 AM
Is there perhaps a way to tell my electrum wallet to regenerate those 12 words so I can match them to my list and see which one is which?
Electrum will reject the mnemonic SEED by default if it wasn't generated by it, the "next" button will be grayed out.
So to find out which is the correct one, simply restore via SEED (Create wallet->I already have a SEED).

By all means, make sure that you have a physical written copy other than offline backup to make sure that it's safe from data loss.
4988  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum transaction error on: April 18, 2019, 02:03:46 AM
i dont know what size is for the transaction that was rejected
I have looked inputs\outputs for my previous transaction and average size is about 100-200 bytes
Bob already mentioned it, it's 100kb or 100,000 bytes, it's displayed in the transaction's info if you click "Preview" in the "Send" Tab.

It seems like Electrum is trying to spend from too many inputs, just try to pick a few inputs with enough balance (about 30-60 inputs, refer on the steps below for the instructions on how to "coin control") from "coins" tab (View->Show Coins) and send it to the destination address.

Looks like you have a lot of small inputs in your wallet.
Try to consolidate your small inputs first:
  • Open Coins tab.
  • Select multiple inputs with small balance by holding "Shift" and Left click to highlight.
  • Right click to the highlighted inputs and Select "Spend", you'll be transferred to the "Send" tab.
  • From there, send to your own address and click "Max".... then, click "Preview", make sure the size is lesser than 100,000 bytes (100kb) in order to be valid.
  • This method requires confirmation too, it will take a while for you to spend the output specially if you set a low fee.
4989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin core, can’t send my BTC (not in memory pool) on: April 18, 2019, 01:34:38 AM
Are you sure that it's a BitcoinCore or QT wallet.dat? It seems like your node instantly rejects the tx because it's invalid.
There were reports from users who've loaded altcoin wallet.dat to core and successfully viewed the alleged balance but failed to create a valid transaction and resulted with the same error.

Can you post any transaction ID (and its info like sent amount and addresses involved) from the History so that we can verify that it is in the network?
4990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Fuse blowing every couple of months on: April 17, 2019, 03:07:55 PM
-snip-
Low quality or even wrong type of wires and connections can have a lot of resistance mainly because of the current that flows in it had exceeded the limit.
When it happens, the wires will heat up and will cause the fuse to break because it is designed to "pop" before a circuit overload happens.

Since you're not an expert and there's certainly a problem, I suggest you to seek a professional to check-up your wiring.
4991  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: New Lightning Network Wallet: Breeze on: April 17, 2019, 07:48:57 AM
i don,t know why need to receive balance first, about 500K satoshi is alot to me for experience new wallet.
Ah, it got me thinking, how do you supposed to try a wallet if you're not going fund it?

It's like trying out a Debit card but you don't want to fund your bank account  Roll Eyes
4992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Fuse blowing every couple of months on: April 17, 2019, 04:05:13 AM
It is happening while rig is on for several days. The fuse is old style one time use.
Have you checked the wiring for faulty connections and ratings? (ex. 12gauge+ wires for 20A) The most obvious signs are thin-looking wires in the circuit or bunch of "rat-tail" connections; if there's a problem, the wire or the connections will heat up and will "pop" your fuse.
If you're not qualified to do so, call for a professional electrician to do the job.

There's no other reasons for this other than faulty wiring since it's happening too often to be caused by a bad fuse, otherwise, frequent power outage.
4993  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: April 17, 2019, 03:13:04 AM
@TheQuin
Is the new betting events' referral commission have lottery ticket and reward point bonus to the referrer too?

I've tried googling and browsing through this thread but haven't been able to find the answer to my question:  I thought I read somewhere that if you have over $50 worth of bitcoin deposited, you get the maximum bonus on the free rolls.  Am I remembering this correctly?  Thanks!
As Far as I know, $50 worth is only enough for unlocking "no capcha" free rolls and about 1-2? levels above the minumum.
The reward will rise further more if you use the balance to buy lottery tickets and roll in High-Low
And the maximum bonus that you can get is displayed in the "Free BTC" page which is 2000% of the lowest free roll reward (Currently +778 sat), +100% per level.

But the higher the level, the higher the reduction of the "percentage to the next bonus" in every free roll, means the reward will not stay the way it is specially if you claim too often.
4994  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Wallet 3.3.4 Problem on: April 17, 2019, 02:30:52 AM
If nothing worked,
try to install v3.3.3. That version is safe from the phishing messages and not affected by the server's DOS attack patch.
Just do not install versions lower than v3.3.3.

You can download older versions in the download page "Previous Releases" Link next to "Release Notes".
4995  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Whales Have Started Splashing – This Rally’s Just Getting Started on: April 16, 2019, 06:10:54 AM
-snip-
And the crash was an obvious dump? There is nothing obvious in this market, you just have to follow the price, never try to get too ahead of it. You have to follow them, we don't have the power to move the market, this forum probably owns 1% of the market at best, at most.
That's a thing but, that's not even a valid counter argument to my post.
I see that you don't understand the context of my reply about the use-case of OTC and Open market trading for whales and blurted a reply that's not totally related to my post.

It's not about the crash and dump that's being obvious, it's about the whale's movements.
So as your reply said, we must follow their lead as close as possible.
4996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: HACKED THIS AFTERNOON! PLEASE HELP! on: April 16, 2019, 05:56:29 AM
Hacker must have already acquired most of your accounts earlier than the incident but waited for the right moment (recovery emails and info) to execute the transfers and all things that can slow down your recovery attempt.

For the culprit: All Devices including your Mac PCs were compromised.... it must be a DNSChanger virus or later variants that targets routers.
Take note that it's not limited to displaying malicious ads but also able to redirect you to phishing sites which might be the cause of the multiple account hacks.
Try to look for the browsing history for questionable URLs since even started from a bookmark, that virus can redirect you to a fake site.
4997  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can we get adsene to our crypto blog website? on: April 16, 2019, 05:33:26 AM
Why some people say google will ban our adsense account when we have ads on crypto websites/blogs?
Aside from the old rules about faucets, Adsense will likely disable your account for displaying ads other than theirs to your website.
It's included to their Policies.

Or did you mean, you have advertised your site to other websites or blogs?
If that's the case, there shouldn't be any problem with that.
4998  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: i am not able to use my btc`s on: April 16, 2019, 01:42:40 AM
From where did you tried to make a transaction, directly from Wallet tab's "Spend" button or New->Transaction?
Try to provide the private key instead of the redeem script on your next try.

Also, is it a multisig address (validate address resulted with "isscript": true,)?
Because there are two links of multisig coinb.in namely: https://coinb.in/#newMultiSig and the old https://coinb.in/multisig/ which the latter will likely produce that error when trying to create a transaction.
4999  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Can you trace a person if he received coins on a Blockchain mobile wallet? on: April 15, 2019, 09:48:14 AM
Lets say the case scenario is that I did not provide any KYC. Any chance then?
Then it will be harder to identify that the coins belong to you.
Even with Chain analysis, it may determine the last destination address but it won't be tagged as yours (as a Person).

What is this specific "Blockchain wallet" that you've mentioned, Blockchain.com?
If it is somewhat an online centralized wallet like the one I mentioned, there's still a chance that they could get your info based from your IP address and when that IP was used to sites with personal information, investigators may find a lead on finding your identity.

It's best to use a "real" Bitcoin wallet with full coin control for pseudo-anonymity reasons.
Also, consider using a tumbler service or wallet with coinjoin function to break the trace in case your coins came from a questionable source.
5000  Economy / Economics / Re: A Crypto Blessing: China’s Plan to Ban Bitcoin Mining Will Work Wonders on: April 15, 2019, 06:28:27 AM
Is this considered a blessing? I do not think that. The miners have solved a lot for the trading volume in a day for us and they are very influential. if the miners in China do not do business anymore, perhaps the transaction fee of Bitcoin will increase very high in the near future.
I suggest you to read the technical details about POW (mining).

There's no direct relationship between the number of miners and the number of solved blocks (and transactions) per day.
It will always be the average 1block per 10minutes or 144 per day unless there's a change in the network rules.

Even if there's no one (ASIC miners) left to mine but a single operating CPU, the average will still be 10minutes per block as the difficulty will be adjusted.
