4981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: From year 2099 till 2140 only one bitcoin will be mined... on: May 03, 2020, 09:59:10 PM
From 2099 till 2140 (when the last satoshis will be mined) there will only be one bitcoin mined.
And in that year, I was already in the ground, whether the earth is still there or not.  Grin Grin

By the way, with the last coin to mine, with the limited supply only, what will be the price? Of course it will increase up highly, however, what's about the value? Well, this is too far to think because we also don't know whether it will still last or not.

No one could predict exactly what will happen after 120 years. But you can imagine where bitcoin price was 10 years back, and now imagine where it could go after 120 years.
Well, it may be 12 times higher than the highest increase so far, probably. Or on the contrary, it may have no value because the technology has changed. It is so difficult to predict those very long time later.

I wonder how all miners in the world online mine the last BTC, will it influence the mining tools? What will happen to the mining equipment? Or, there may be other ways in how Bitcoin will be used or utilized in the real use case.
4982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Online Gaming and Mobile Sport Betting May Be Legal After Covid-19 End??? on: May 03, 2020, 02:49:05 PM
Covid-19 has a large impact on almost all sectors of life, including the gambling world. As we know, when countries do lockdowns, they also close various casinos and sports betting immediately. This is intended to minimize the Covid-19 contagion chain.

The closure, this becomes a nightmare. They are a dilemma. This is detrimental to the gaming or gambling industry, players, gamblers, and also the societies that get income from those. However, on the other hand, they also risk their health and even their lives if they still go to casino or sports betting. For this reason, online gambling and sports betting become ways to make deal with these.

Several executives and also consultants from the gaming industry also discussed in this regard, the possibility of the online gaming industry. One of them, John Pappas, also assumed the following:

Quote
"Pappas, the former executive director of the Poker Players Alliance, said he believes one good thing for the gaming industry that will come out of the coronavirus pandemic is the legal expansion of online gaming. He said industry leaders will need to educate lawmakers unfamiliar with legal internet gambling."

For information, so far, only several certain states that can access online casinos. Only around 3 states have legalized online casino and about 11 states authorize sports betting. As for online sports betting, only a few states allow the sportsbook online betting during the Coronavirus pandemic. While in other states, it may still be prohibited.

The questions:
1. What's about in your country? Are online gambling and sports betting legal?
2. Is there any possibility that this prediction will really occur, more and more countries are legalizing online gaming/gambling and mobile sports betting?
3. How is it related to online gambling that uses cryptocurrency as one of the transactions manners? Will there more and more sites offer online gambling like this?

Please feel free to share your ideas and opinion about this.

4983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency & Mobile Gaming on: May 02, 2020, 11:52:06 PM
Crypto and mobile gaming.
Well, crypto has been reading to several sectors including gaming, but this is mole gaming. If the platform really has that many users, and crypto becomes one of the manners for transactions or something that is usable in that platform, why not? If it is real use case, probably the crypto will live well for the platform. However, if this is only as crypto that is not used for the payment, better not to make it.
However, the fact that the big aging platform will use crypto, it is interesting.
4984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Mayor Wants to Re-open Casinos. Thoughts? on: May 02, 2020, 11:11:06 PM
In this interview of Anderson Cooper to Las Vegas' mayor Carolyn Goodman, the head of the city insists that the Vegas should re-open the casinos and restaurants for the welfare of its people.
I thought, will he be responsible for what is likely to happen to his citizens or people there? Don't rule out the possibility that the reopening of casinos during the coronavirus pandemic was very risky? What if some of them were affected by the virus? It will be very risky with high transmission rates at those places.
How are his ways to encounter the spreading of the virus?
We know that everybody faces high difficulties in their financial systems during this pandemic. Their citizen may lose their earning and incomes highly so far. And some people may agree with his decision to reopen. But, think of the high risks. They may get the money up again, but they will probably die because of the virus.

If the persistence of the mayor proved to be worthwhile and the city reopens, would you, as a gambler, be willing to get inside one of the many casinos and play there?
If I were there, definitely I will not risk my life to come to the casinos. Better to play gambling on online sites. Now, there are so many online sites that offer worthy gambling. I will think to earn money and still live avoiding the coronavirus.
4985  Economy / Economics / Re: Anybody here trying to live bankless (using Bitcoin / cryptocurrencies)? on: May 02, 2020, 11:01:10 PM
I am currently investigating possibilities to replace the classic bank account by a set of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency tools, ..
This is actually a quite difficult thing to do, especially in some countries that have not legalized or accepted cryptocurrency as a means of payment.
Personally, for now, I do not have any idea to move to bankless. I still need my bank account, as for some conditions.

...I see great potential in a crypto-based, decentralized banking solution. The biggest obstacle is currently volatility
Unfortunately, it is not fully because of the volatility, but the regulation. Well, yeah, but indeed I live in a country that only legalizes crypto as a digital asset. Meanwhile, as a means of payment, it is still not allowed. Of course, this is very influential in the use of crypto (especially Bitcoin) in this country. Fiat is still a major and central manner of payments. Our central bank also still does not regulate the crypto as a currency. The regulation is that we can buy and trade or make it as an investment, but for payment, not yet.

What's more, our government also hasn't seen how big the future of Bitcoin in this country. Actually it is unfortunate, however, looking at how the regulation is and how the general condition of the people in our country is indeed reasonable.

For the future expectation, of course, I really expect that crypto (mainly Bitcoin) is accepted as one of the legal currencies in my country, at least, there are many commerces that accept this coin as one of the payment manners. However, of course, it is also back again to government regulation. But, I really don't know when it will be.  Grin

4986  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [DISKUSI] Harga Ethereum on: May 01, 2020, 11:59:19 PM

4987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you could, would you delete every altcoin? on: May 01, 2020, 11:47:27 PM
NO, I wouldn't do it. I'm not sure Bitcoin can be stronger as now if we haven't those altcoins.
Do you think altcoins haven't an important role in crypto space? It has, altcoins make more parties have the responsibility to keep crypto space.
I can't imagine if there are no altcoins, how can Bitcoin survive alone with too many bad issues and bans from governments around the world.
I am not trying to say Bitcoin cannot survive without altcoins, but altcoins has positive impacts on the existence of Bitcoin.
4988  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis after the epidemic on: May 01, 2020, 11:39:15 PM
It is too early to talk about this. First we need to overcome the coronavirus and see what state the world economy will be in.
NO, not too early. Viewing what's happening in the future from the beginning, will make us have enough time to plan everything well. We need some strategy to anticipate the worse things to happen. But remember to consider current or valid data related to the economic situation and prediction in the near future.

Handling the coronavirus firstly is a must, how we can plan for the upcoming economy if it still lasts. If we look at South Korea, this country can overcome Covid-19 quickly. I think other countries will follow it. They must learn many things from the countries that can handle Covid-19 well. At least, we have China and South Korea.
4989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which of the two will you choose as a gambler? on: May 01, 2020, 11:22:47 PM
-snip-
According to your explanation, my characteristic fits with email-based authentication because I don't play gamble every day and just in a very few amount of money. No, I never leave a big amount of money on the gambling site's wallet, I know it is too risky. So, I will go with option 1 on OP and it is exactly what I did till now. I think it is safe, although less secure than option 2.  Cheesy
4990  Economy / Economics / Re: The true value of money, is it always just a number? on: April 30, 2020, 02:35:30 PM

Money is just a number in a database.
Well yeah, "money is just number". As in this quote above. Money is only a number, but, it depends on how many numbers do you have. It is only a number, but those numbers will define what and who you are.

Moreover, right now, the digitalization of the money has been developing in almost every country. We only have numbers on the database, but we do not hold all of that money in our hands. We don't know whether the money is real nor not. But, we have the numbers that can be used for everything suitable.

..But from what I've noticed, most people don't keep track of how much money they have, how much they're spending and how much they need...
In my opinion, it will depend on each person. Well, probably most of them do that thing. But for those who have lots of money, they will absolutely use the financial consultant to manage the income and outcome of running the money. Of course, how we manage will determine how many numbers we have right now and in the future.

...and the most commonly used device was Mobile app (68.6%).. snip..
Seeing the percentage of mobile app usage of 68.6%, this might indicate that the dependence on gambling will be hard to leave. At present, online gambling can be easily and simplified through the mobile app. This means where each user can do gambling wherever they want. So, it's only right if the number of gamblers increases from time to time. And gambling makes it addictive. When we have won once, then we will be addicted, want to win again and again. Meanwhile, in fact, we have lost hundreds of times. Ironic, but most probably experienced this.

..* To stop gambling, keep yourself occupied with something...
That is right, making ourselves busy with real activities or other business. Well, it may be difficult for those who are addicted to playing gambling. Moreover, they may remind of gambling every time they hold or open their mobile phone. However, if we really want to out from gambling, this can be tried.

However, in fact, those who are playing gambling will commonly stop doing it when they don't have enough money, and after getting the money or loans, playing gambling will continue again. It is actually quite difficult to stop gambling, likely to stop smoking. However, if we really want to stop it, just stop it.
4992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency crime in Netherlands. on: April 30, 2020, 02:03:20 PM
Six people were arrested in the Netherlands and the UK over a $27 million "typosquatting" scam, which involved making a fake website to gain access to user Bitcoin wallets.
Again, crime in the cryptocurrency world is very easy to do. In addition to scammers who deceive their victims to gain profit, hackers are no less. They use various methods to earn money as much as possible. In fact, this crime is not difficult to do among countries, yes, because this is cryptocurrency, digital system. In my opinion, maybe there are still many scammers and other hackers who are still operating. And maybe even the victims are still not aware of it. So, watch out!

...Such kind of incidents are only lowering down the reputation of cryptocurrencies in general...
That's right. For people who have been in the crypto for several times, this may be familiar and be one of the risks that may be faced. But for common people, this has become one of the bad images of the crypto world, which may further make them stay away for fear of the incident. In fact, this is only one risk. There are still many advantages to cryptocurrency that can be obtained. However, these advantages seem to be covered by issues like this.

This is great news.Obviously, not all hackers and scammers are located in third world countries and North Korea.
Right, we don't even know who they are, maybe they are around us and we don't realize it. And we only find out after it was exposed. Like what happened in my country a few months ago that horrendous our country.
4993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never Before Experience On Gambling...!!!! Stay Safe. on: April 29, 2020, 11:43:03 PM
....when we're in sleep and an immediate increase in the heart pumping has got the highest chance of cardiac arrest. Finally it has got to be one of the memorable days of my gambling...
It makes sense. As we know, when doing gambling, our heart will pump irregularly. For, we may feel so excited and feel so sad in a very short time or moment. Of course, it will influence to the heart that may increase as you said if it happens again and again regularly.

Lets stay safe while gambling, though it is fun and excitement source there is lots of pressure being experienced by each and every gambler as we risk our earnings for a bigger amount.
Probably it will depend on time management. It may be not crucial for the gamblers. Good time management will help us to know when the right time to gamble, to decide to bet, to roll the roller, to take the chance of winning the jackpot, and many others. But of course, know your time, when you will do that thing.

The time management and also asset management will also help us to manage our income and outcome in gambling. It is not only feeling great when winning one time after losing 10 times. It is also not only about the time but also the readiness of our heart, being calm, smart, and also wise when gambling.
4994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which investment is a safe haven Gold or Bitcoin? on: April 29, 2020, 11:33:43 PM
Gold is a safe investment both for short or long term investment. The characteristic is not volatile, it will keep increasing along the time. However, the increase will not jump as high.
Bitcoin is a very promising investment, you can gain high profits only in a short time. However on the other hand, you may also lose a high amount in a short time. For, Bitcoin is high volatility, it is always fluctuating. We can control the price of BTC because the price will depend on the market.

Please tell me when do you think Bitcoin will replace gold as a safe haven and why?
I will not think about it because BTC will not replace gold. The two will exist and develop together without another should be replaced or replacing. They are a great investment for all.

4996  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New to Crypto, Cant buy any!! on: April 29, 2020, 01:44:03 AM
Where do you come from?
Why don't you start to buy crypto from a trusted/reputable exchange in your country?

For the beginner, I think the local exchange is the best choice to start buying crypto.

Reasons:
- You have no problem with the language, so everything should be very clear.
- You can use your personal ID for KYC with no problem as you're the citizen there.
- You can buy or deposit with your national currency.
- You can be easier to know it is a trusted or untrusted exchange as you can see on your local news.
- If you have any problem you can easily contact the exchange's information service. Or just go to their official office.

But if you still want to try other top global exchanges, I suggest visiting Bitfinex, Bitmex, or Changelly.

4997  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't even think about begging for merit in private messages on: April 29, 2020, 01:41:18 AM
7. No begging.
It is clear, begging is not allowed. So, whatever the reasons, no way to ask merits.
A newbie who sends messages for begging merits surely will get nothing as high-rank members must know well that it breaks the rules.

Actually most high-rank members are quite generous nowadays. They are waiting for quality posts made by newbies. I think many of them don't set a very high standard to merit a newbie. At least the newbie's post: (1.) on topic, (2.) informative, (3.) useful, and (4.) written in the right way.

Even, I found a thread dedicated to members who support newbies: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5034141.0.

So, what's the real problem? Why they send messages to begging merits?
Most newbies just want to get instant merits, they don't want to learn and give a contribution.

That's right. Storj has given contribution in their own way by providing Free Storage. This kind of contribution may optimize a chance to get rid of the Corona pandemic faster. Those organizations researching Covid-19 must be fully supported as we really hope they find an effective solution for this pandemic. Well, Free Storage can be very useful for them, it will support their research needs & activities.
4999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies are safer with top altcoins on: April 28, 2020, 11:58:20 PM
Cov-19 have been used to scam many newbies and even Corona virus coins are built too which have no real use cases
During this Covid19 era, many new projects are coming and attracting newbies to invest n their projects, with very promising earning in a short time. And the fact is that many newbies are interested and trapped to join those shit projects. Why? Because they know nothing about crypto, they are only attracted and deceived of earning much money in a short time while they really need the money in this era. This is silly, but this really happens. Many hype and advertisement on social media, YouTube, and others have attracted many newbies to come to join them.

Newbies are safer with top altcoins until they start learning how to choose wisely, do better diggings on the new project to avoid scams
I quite agree with this. Rather than choosing the coin from new projects, it will be safer with the top altcoins, at least the top 10. However, actually the safest way is investing or trading BTC or ETH. They are most secure way to earn money.
However, one to remember, never follow the hype, learning is crucial.

5000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never give up on: April 28, 2020, 11:51:50 PM
Join as many bounty as possible, because we will not be able to know which bounty will send payment to us. Don't join 1-2 bounty and wait for them, it will make us waste valuable time.
As many as possible? Well, if it is about social media, articles, or others, it can be. But for the signature campaign, we only can participate in one signature campaign at one time. ANd of course, we don't only participate in as many as possible bounty, but participating in the bounty that has been analyzed and considered as legit and trusted bounty will be more valuable.

3. Listed bounties may not pay, it's still same risks as bounty projects that aren't listed on exchange yet, rewards may vary but who am I to tell? I'm not a great seer am I?
Do you mean the bounties promoting projects that have listed their coin on the exchange? Well, I think that it has some differences. A project that has listed their coin in exchange at least more trusted, I prefer to choose this one rather than choosing the one that is not listed yet. Although it has risks, it is less than not listed yet.

4. Scammers take advantage of Cov-19 alot and many still fall victim upon all the warnings, now we only have few days left till next Bitcoin halving, few new scam projects will surface, keep your eyes sharply opened
Report to moderator
This era becomes the moment that shit project or scammers act their efforts to deceive the newbies. And in fact, many newbies are trapped in their projects. In this case, regarding participating in Bounty, a newbie only has a small chance to join, moreover signature campaign, I really suggest building and rank up the rank of the account at first.
