295 on Finex.
Where are all the pictures of trains?

No bears to piss off
4983  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 09, 2015, 08:15:03 PM
If the other exchanges don't follow finex soon then this is going to go down quite rapidly.

China's buying power illustrates the triumph of Communism over Capitalism.
 Kiss

... in unregulated markets???

Yeah, they really got that communism thingy nailed down
4985  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 09, 2015, 02:45:46 PM
i think the price will stay 275-285 for few month...

That's the only thing we know won't happen
4986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / ***** The Very Unofficial Ethereum / Ether Mining Thread ***** on: March 08, 2015, 03:26:44 PM
As the launch of the "real" ethereum network is near I thought it would be useful to have a place to share our mining experiences.

Here we can talk about issues related to setting up a miner, including but not limited to:

* Software compatibility
* Hardware compatibility
* Hardware performance
* Mining strategies
* Developments regarding Pow/Pos
* Profitability calculations

Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with The Ethereum Project whatsoever. In the words of Manuel: "I know nothing...".

Ok, I might have fallen on my head or something but I couldn't find much on recent experiences with GPU vs CPU mining. Am I barking up the wrong tree?

Sometimes I really wonder if theymos was paid by somebody for closing - and keeping closed - newbie jail...

I mean, I and many others repeatedly asked to re-open the "probation period" so that, at the very least, the number of utterly useless new troll accounts is *limited*, even if it doesn't get rid of the problem entirely.

Mods respond to that request by "only theymos can change that", and he seems unwilling to do so. Really beyond me why he feels that way, which is leading me to come up with paranoid theories (see first line) Cheesy

yes, people often raise questions about theymos collecting donations, closing newbie jail, letting run obvious scams and ponzi securities threads open...

but guess what libertards...that's free market of yours.

Right. Because it's one of the defining features of places run by "libertards" that they're dens of corruption, scams, etc., while in the rest of the world, those qualities are mercifully absent.

The world must be a wonderful place if you conceptually dumb it down enough to fit into a simplistic scheme.  Also, allows you to avoid coming up with better answers to questions posed.

Do we even know what "libertards" means? I want to knock it but I don't know where to start.

But Mercs, Porshes and Ferraris will be a lot cheaper now. As long as you buy more of them, Im sure Europeans wont mind too much!!
There you go. I'm pretty sure you've just solved the ongoing Greek economic crisis! Just have Italy and Germany tell Greece that they can choose to be either a province of Italy or a state of Germany. Then when ppl buy Italian sports cars or German luxury cars w/ their BTC profits, it will help their nation. So which is it, Greeks, will you be Italians now or will you become German? If you're bullish enough on BTC, I think you better learn to cook a mean lasagna!

Feta will be cheaper too

I am really disappointed by the bulls, couldn't you pump a bit more, did you already run out of steam?
I shorted the top of the pump at 284$ yesterday but had to go to sleep and closed my short way to early.

The Tzupy indicator is still bearish. Tarmi is on the fence, and carebear shroomie has left altogether. Something to watch out for.

The death of a mining pool, none deserved it more.

this one will be back, its not 50btc

We'll see. A mining pool needs to find blocks, this doesn't.

So how do we know that some whale or whales weren't planning on buying 50K coins or more on the open market and instead are buying them at auction? In other words, How do we know that this sale isn't already priced into the market? It's not like this auction is a surprise or anything.

If it ain't, then why is it still in the talks and making people think they will see some hikes because of this?
Everyone's talking about the roller-coasters, I think we should let them talk and the naked price action will speak soon. Wink

You are true, there's actually nothing surprising as there are exchanges where whales can buy those many coins without just going for an auction and harm their anonymity...

At best there is a small risk reduction after the auction is finished, the fiat paid and everyone is happy. That means, after the completion, sell the news. But sell what? Bitcoin or dollars?

Anyone putting up this kind of capital is a serious invester.  No one is going to buy these and dump them right away.

Then, what makes the price start falling freely during the so-called Auction days? Anyways, I think this one's the last, and so expecting something very much unexpected.

Shrewd dumpers and bad nerves

Wow, just saw the Poll asking for $32k BTC in 2017 or not...
It's awesome to see so many people positive on that... Still, not some "To Da Moon" type talks...

When we look 2 years ahead in Bitcoin it could just as well be 200 years. I voted what I wanted to happen, I think most did.
4995  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 04, 2015, 10:14:29 PM
Another dump before another break out?

Another dump before another dump.

The real big dump will happen when the US MARSHALS start sending 50k coins to winner bidders

no
4996  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 04, 2015, 09:51:55 PM
You bastards!

I was just out for some milk....

That's a lot of coins they dumped there. If this floats up again $300 is gonna be a breeze.

That been said. Bitcoin isn't Gold, Steel or Cement. In theory an ETF (or similar) shouldn't be necessary. I understand that a lot of investors like to work that way, but it's kind of odd when they just as well could open an account on Coinbase and trensfer it to a Trezor.

hardware devices can fail...

face it hodling isnt easy.

Well, everything is easy when you know what you're doing. I would have thought people who trade in tech were sufficiently proficient. But you're right of course.
