Only the fact that they list an A record followed by a MX record that's exactly the same hostname as the A on their SPF says everything. The +all at the end is just the icing on the cake lol

It's possible for both values to be different, and happens often with large installations.

That would be true if they used IP addresses or different hostnames. Given that they are using a hostname, using the same value on both is redundant, even if the hostname resolves to 10 different IP addresses (which isn't the case).
I didn't word it correctly, sorry about that. I fixed my statement on the above quote.

I think he means "lawyer"... or maybe not.

By his edit-fu I suppose you're right.
Damn, I should've quoted that post lol

4987  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Spain Bans Cash Transactions Over 2,500 Euros on: April 17, 2012, 09:20:26 AM
I'll give you news even more outrageous than that.

Portugal Bans Cash Transactions Over €1000

lol -> but I'm serious. If it's not law by now it will be very soon. EDIT: By June 30 it will be implemented.

I should add that only payments made to Businesses will have this limits and will need to be made using cheque, bank transfer, credit or debit card, etc.
Individuals can still pay each other sums above €1000... for now, at least!
4988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Tax Information - Interesting on: April 17, 2012, 08:59:18 AM
The only thing I found interesting was that you have NO income lol
How much was that TradeHill cheque? $5?
4989  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: 700 transactions/second now! on: April 17, 2012, 08:16:47 AM
Well, MoonShadow, that would be true if EVERY GPU/CPU/FPGA/ASIC that's mining had a bitcoin node connected to the network, which ISN'T the case, given that most of them are connected to a CENTRAL node called a minning pool Roll Eyes

Network total hashing power can increase infinitely without increasing maximum tps capacity.

Also, you lack reading skills as I was pointing the flaw on ThiagoCMC's statement and wasn't talking about the OP.

But given that you are so smart why don't you answer to ThiagoCMC?
Bitcoin is one of the most powerful supercomputer on Earth... Why it can not handle >1000 transacions/second?!!

Oh, that's right... transaction processing is limited by every single node capacity and not by total network power...
Too bad all the power of the "most powerful supercomputer on Earth" only goes to bruteforce the solution to a problem while being useless to process transactions... Roll Eyes

Do I need another set of hands now?

4990  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: 700 transactions/second now! on: April 17, 2012, 07:07:38 AM
> 700 transactions/second now!...

Bitcoin is one of the most powerful supercomputer on Earth... Why it can not handle >1000 transacions/second?!!

Because all that power is only used on hashing and not on transaction processing...
You should know that by now dude...
But this goes to show how much miners know about what they do with their GPUs lol

This one deserved a triple facepalm...

4992  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: change language to english in official bitcoin client on: April 17, 2012, 05:47:43 AM
The english language in Bitcoin uses the code en only. If you try to tell Bitcoin to load en_US it will not work as it won't recognize the language you're asking it to load.
It definitely does work and it's what I'm using.

Well, pt doesn't work because the language is named pt_BR, hence my mistake. Anyway, the _US should be redundant in your case Smiley

Taken from the bitcoin_en.ts file
Code:
<TS version="2.0" language="en">
4993  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: change language to english in official bitcoin client on: April 17, 2012, 05:41:44 AM
The english language in Bitcoin uses the code en only. If you try to tell Bitcoin to load en_US it will probably not work as it won't recognize the language you're asking it to load.

Just a side note to your remark of you not having tested my suggestion: Every flag that you can set on the command line to start the client will work inside the bitcoin.conf file. Just don't forget that the flags inside the conf file don't use the hiphen Tongue
4994  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: change language to english in official bitcoin client on: April 17, 2012, 05:20:38 AM
On the 0.6 windows version - the client installed in hebrew although the Windows is english.
Is there a way to change it to english or force it to install in english without making batch files, removing languages
from the OS etc ?

Open the bitcoin.conf file and add
Code:
lang=en

That should do it. No need for a new install, only a client restart. All languages get installed, so you have them all there to change as you wish.

And THAT'S why you always use Bitcoin for illicit transactions!

You should've (also) put the emphasis on always Wink

What happens when your ip address gets banned?

Edit:
I'm a small shareholder and considering a larger investment.

All those bots support proxies and I bet every user will have them by the hundreds. Private proxies, not that public crap.
4997  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: GLBSE IPO Handling and Interaccount Transfers Discussion Thread. on: April 17, 2012, 04:08:33 AM
I wonder, should we change the name to Global Bitcoin Securities Exchange?

If GBSE.bit isn't taken, YES!

Why would that be?

AFAIK GLBSE means Global Bitcoin Stock Exchange. Same acronym, only switch Stock for Securities Wink
4998  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bandwidth settings on: April 17, 2012, 03:47:26 AM
In the meantime, if you are on windows: http://bandwidthcontroller.com/trafficShaperXp.html
You can also look at your router config, in the QoS part if you can set bandwitdth limits per port. Some router allow it, others only allow you to set limits per IP or MAC address.

oops, got confused, sorry! Anyway, my statement about lolwut remains the same, just directed it at the wrong person Wink

Wow, nice coin.
I bid 2BTC shipped to CA.

^ he probably forgot to log out his current account lol

Dumb scammer is dumb and doesn't know how to use 1 browser per account?

I see you said he was lolwut on the auction thread.
I can say I bought a Kindle Fire from lolwut and the deal went smooth. Maybe a carder, but not a scammer Grin At least the Amazon registration of the Kindle Fire didn't ring any bells so far lol
