4981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: February 14, 2022, 09:18:42 PM
Definitely, no one could be sure of the outcome, however, Garcia is surely the favorite to win and though Tagoe has a decent record I think the qualify of his rights is not good enough to level the capability of Ryan Garcia in the ring. This is my personal opinion too, I could be wrong though.
Tagoe does have a pretty good record but if you look at the history of the matches he has run most of them have been done in his territory and it is very rare for him to come out like now. He's a pretty strong fighter, but it doesn't really matter that much against Garcia. I will certainly be by Garcia's side now. He always has ambition in every fight he runs and this is a pretty good credit point for him.
I feel that even if there will be no KO or TKO but in any case Garcia will win

Again, it might be that Tagoe has a good record, but he is not on the same level as Ryan Garcia. It's a careful match making obviously because they don't know if Garcia can still the pull the trigger. So they don't want to put a big risk having him fight a good contender. If he wins by KO or TKO or be the the huge favorite then we shouldn't be surprised.
4982  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is becoming more and more like a stock on: February 14, 2022, 08:34:48 PM
It seems that crypto investors have started looking for money with game-based altcoins and virtual worlds or metaverses in order to quickly get money to invest in bitcoin.
Even though the bitcoin price is still in the process of recovering after being hit by negative sentiment related to skepticism that has come from several financial authorities since the beginning of 2022 yesterday.
Yet bitcoin is still the mainstream investment asset for crypto investors for now and in the future.

As far as comparison with stocks though, both assets can be trade. For the game based altcoins, we can't stop it, current hype together with NFT's and that's how altcoin market for many years now. There will be something new that will open the eyes of many investors. And then when the hype die, a new one will appear and the cycle continues. So this market is full of opportunities, that is, if you know how to take advantage of it.

^^ Naka tsamba ulit.

4984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 14, 2022, 07:35:40 PM
Just two games for this day.
I'll tail with you guys on that Celtics bet. My spread is -7.5 and I wish this ain't a trap because of the Trae Young probability to play. The game will start in 45 minutes.
How about the other game (Wolves vs pacers), any thoughts?
Same question. These two teams are unpredictable that's why I am having a difficult time choosing. But considering how the Pacers were revamped it might still feel awkward for them playing for each other so I am going for the T'wolves -4.5.

Yeah with the superbowl ahead of us no nba tonight.  Well at least the Knicks can't lose today 😂

I'm taking the Timberwolves-6 on the road today against the Pacers.  Think the Pacers will struggle with brogan still out.  Get a little juice on the table before football.  Good luck today everyone.

I couldn't get on the Celtics train early but I guess it's a blessing in disguise, Celtics are currently having a hard time against Hawks, Trailing by 10 points with around 3' left in the first half, and Trae Young have being the mastermind behind the problem they're facing.

I'll ride on the Timberwolves -6.5 , I've also got Under 240 Total points should incase Timberwolves decide to go cold for the night.

I like the hedge.  Pacers being rudderless after the trade might also slump in with lower points.  Just can't see them pulling out a 60 minute barrage from Timberwolves.  I didn't like the Celtics game either way. Awesome it fun until the superbowl at least lol, good luck.

Wolves looked good yesterday.  Tonight I like 2 different bets.  Gimme the Bucks-11.5 at home they should roll in the game.  And then give me the Rockets-14.5 on the road against the jazz. think they lose but should have enough fight to not get completely blown out.

I also score 2 out 2 wins last game.

For the schedule game, I will go with the Bucks at -10.5 against Portland. It will be their home court and Portland continues to struggle without Dame.

Same with the Nuggets and Magic games. Nuggets with a huge win last time, will used that as a momentum, -10.5 against Orlando Magic.
4985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not a safe haven for criminals on: February 14, 2022, 07:09:40 PM
It's great that criminals can't hide behind the network of decentralized computers. It's comforting to see that cyber criminals are getting caught and thrown inside prison. The cyber criminals must understand that they can't run forever and enforcement agencies have tools to track them down.

Every criminal even in fiat world will be sloppy at time and they are going to be caught. And just like in crypto world wherein every transaction is recorded in blockchain. It's just how the government spend their time trying to crack the puzzle of the criminals. Because sooner or later they will find some foot prints that will incriminate them. They just need one addresses to follow and uncovering the real identities of the criminals just like in this case.
4986  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: February 13, 2022, 01:19:28 PM
Ganun parin 1/1 ang score ko last game, ganda ng laro ng Raptors at Nuggets, kala ko kaya ng Raptors, congrats sa mga nanalo.

Parang 2 games lang naslip ko bukas tama ba?

Atlanta vs Boston - mainit ang Boston so dun tayo, -6.5
Pacers vs Wolves - Wolves -6.5

just some update on this thread regarding the fight of Jacobs vs  Ryder:

John Ryder Rallies in Second Half To Shock Daniel Jacobs By Split Decision

Quote
John Ryder earned a shot at WBA super-middleweight champion David Morrell with a split points decision over Daniel Jacobs at Alexandra Palace in North London.

In a fight of two halves, Jacobs cruised through the first half as Ryder struggled to find the range, before dramatically coming on from round seven.

The decision looked harsh on Jacobs, who appeared to have a shut-out in the first six rounds and came back into things late on. But Jacobs seemed to bring problems on himself, as he switched to southpaw, which seemed to suit Ryder more than him.

https://www.boxingscene.com/john-ryder-rallies-second-half-shock-daniel-jacobs-by-split-decision-results--164088

I haven't watch the fight but in paper it seems that Jacobs would win this fight.

However, it looks like Ryder as per the article rallied on the second half of the half and winning the fight by a split decision. Jacobs might be shot, lost his prime already. How can he left this fight slipped as this is important because he could still have a chance to become a world champion?
4988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 13, 2022, 10:47:41 AM
Warriors vs Lakers has started, Warriors took a slight lead already.
Yes, Warriors had the lead but in the end, they still failed to cover the spread. Not cool for the Warriors backers because we are expecting they'll dominate the Lakers but it turns out it's a close game. Great game by Klay, he really shines in tough competition that's why the Warriors this season is getting better and I would say they are a championship-caliber already.

Yeah, if not for Klay's heroics in the 4th quarter, chances are they could have lost to the Lakers with the way this play this game. I'm sure that Steve Kerr is not happy with the performance of his Warriors. They supposedly win big in their home court which they usually does and cover that big spread even if the opening line is a double digit lead for them.
4989  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on its way to $100000?! on: February 13, 2022, 09:40:31 AM
Bitcoin is going to $100,000 & much, much higher. The only question is when that will be. I can close to 100% tell you that it will be before the end of 2025 but I can’t be any more specific than that.

I do agree, most likely when we are in the next halving, after that maybe we can see the price going to $100k or more. Although there was a lot of noise of hitting 6 digits last December, and everyone is positive that we will reach it, wasn't meant to be at least for this cycle. So most likely it can be reach next bullish cycle which will start in 2024 and then a bull run of epic proportions up to 2025.
4990  Economy / Economics / Re: Gambling with China and US on: February 13, 2022, 08:49:09 AM
Recently the US Secretary of State zoomed to Fiji Island to have discussion with Pacific Island Leaders. The last time such visit happened was 37 years ago. His sole aim is to counter China's influence in that region.

America and the "Quad" are scared that China's aggressive business partnership, infrastructural loans and politically interference in the Pacific will make them loose a strategic partner.

The leaders of the Pacific should cease this opportunity and get the best economic deal. Since both China and US wants their partnership, these leader should consider the offers from both parties and secure the best deal. I am sure the Chinese would visit immediately after the American Secretary leaves the Pacific.

China has been aggressive in the last 10 years, even in the country where I live in (Southeast Asia), their influence are huge and to the point that you will think that they have made this country their province already, lol.

So it's just a matter of choice for countries around Pacific Island. Or better yet, their leader could play both countries and take advantage of what they are going to offer.
4991  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $30k the bottom for this dip? on: February 12, 2022, 10:12:05 PM
I don't think bitcoin is going to drop to as low as $30k again. I see that bitcoin has the potential to move up to test the $45k resistance level in the next few weeks. If you pay attention to the charts in the crypto market, there are indications that bitcoin is strengthening and has the potential to breakout or at least the bitcoin price will touch the $46,000 area.

And just like that, there are no strength to move past $45k, unfortunately, so no $46k as well. As in the last 3 days, the price seems to be moving sideways and in the last 24 hours, it goes on a negative run and touch $41k-$42k. So I guess the bears have taken the market again and maybe, just maybe the reality that $30k is not the bottom at least for this year could be real again.
4992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it just luck on: February 12, 2022, 12:04:52 PM
Is it just luck that I made most of my money from shitcoins and meme coins? While people are hating I always make sure I got in early and I ended up smiling, if you bought shiba at few weeks of release you know what I'm talking about, I do get some big altcoins too but this so called shitcoins gives me the best profits.

As you have said, you want to be the first and early bird so that is not luck.

Luck only enters the picture when you don't study the coins that you are going to invest and just hoping for a miracle to happen like going up in short amount of time. But I would say that you are a smart investor more than anything else that's why you get the best profits for your investments.
4993  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: February 12, 2022, 11:26:12 AM

4994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Shakur Stevenson vs Oscar Valdez 130-pound Title Unification Fight on: February 12, 2022, 09:38:37 AM
Both fighters are equal and I'm sure it will be hard for bettors to figure out who is the big favorite

This is true, there will be no clear outstanding favorite in this fight, maybe it will open like 1.85 both odds.

Both have been trash talking ever since they won both of their respective fights and accusing each other of trying to avoid this fight. But both have sign in the dotted line already and we have a date of this fight. I will bet on Valdez though, Valdez seems to thrive on bigger stage and has more power and riding high from his biggest win over Miguel Berchelt.

I'm a bit surprised by this move of Bob Arum to let his cash cows meet in the ring this early lol. I think that the old man has learned his lesson on the Crawford controversy and afraid that either Valdez or Stevenson will bolt out of his promotional company.

This fight is very hard to predict for me though i'm leaning towards Valdez but if the odds are high on Stevenson then i would go for it.

This reminds me of the fight between Manny vs Money. Aggressive vs defensive where the latter won hehe.

At long as it is in house money, that is good for Bob Arum, again another great example, Manny Pacquiao and even Crawford who fought mostly Top Rank's fighter. The thing is that his stable of 147 lbs is not that deep that's why Crawford has been criticize.

But with division, Arum has few good fighters and that's why he is willing to make this fight. It's a win-win situation for him.

Right, this could the reason why Uncle Bob is willing to have this great fight. So in paper it seems that he is doing good for the boxing community. But in essence, still boils down on money, he will have all the money win or lose here, so a great but bitch ass move by Arum. But who would complain though? 2 fighters at their prime, undefeated and fighting for unification.
4995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The solution is just there on: February 11, 2022, 04:54:54 PM
If coinmarketcap and coingecko can just start asking for team verification before listing a new project on their platforms I believe many will be safe from scammers, yes it's not their right to do since those platforms are just for listing available crypto projects but I heard they ask for criteria isn't it? They know how bad the numbers of scammers are growing, I think it's doable

They are just services to list the price of crypto assets, they don't have the duty per se to verify everything. It's our job as investors to do our due diligence and see what is right, it's our money anyways.

Scammers are everywhere, not just in crypto world. That's why we need to be very careful of the people we talk to specially in the market we live in because we are all (pseudo) anonymous.
4996  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: February 11, 2022, 12:30:36 PM

4997  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull Run in Bitcoin on: February 11, 2022, 11:14:12 AM
In 2013 we had a bull run but at that time bitcoin was not known to me. I myself saw the 2017 bitcoin bull run and then we had a massive altcoin bull run. We were expecting the same to happen in 2021 but it did not happen. Some people say that bull run is delayed and some say that next bull run will be after the next halving in 2024.

I sometimes think that bitcoin and crypto market are now matured and we may not see extended bull or bear runs. Bitcoin will reach a hunderd thousand dollars or more but it won't be a parabolic move. What are your thoughts on this ?

There was a school of thoughts recently that come out. Bitcoin will have short but massive bull run. Reason being is that the whole narrative has change specially when institutions coming into the picture and we have country like El Salvador hedging their wealth and investing when there is a dip.

But we will have to see if this narrative will come true or not. Or if the 4 year cycle will continue, and this should be the start of a long year bear market.
4998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Amir Khan vs Kell Brook - Feb 19, 2022 on: February 11, 2022, 09:59:42 AM

Always expect a surprise, that's where boxing is more entertaining because of such a thing. Khan has been a champion, same with Brook, so we can say that both have the skills to shock the world with a great win, a possible KO is what I'm expecting to see in the fight night, not sure who will make it happen.

What makes this exciting is they are two of British favorite boxers when they are still in the prime of their career, both fighters have legions of fans on that country, it's not years that they are still in the prime of their career so we can still expect the same skills that we've seen in their prime, they are not in a long retirement they are on semi-retire and this fight an push their boxing career again.
And I still believed that there are still a lot of fans inside UK that wanted to see this fight to happen even if both fighters are no longer in this primes.

The odds might be close though during their prime and I think Amir Khan could have been the favorite. But now it's a complete shift, Brook is the favorite to win, but nevertheless still one of the best fight for British boxing fans.

That's for sure, otherwise, this fight will not happen as no promoter will waste their money to spend for the promotion. These two are exciting fighters, it's just that they are not the best in their division and they got expose on their weakness later in their career, but overall it should be an interesting fight.

This two still has a huge following in the UK, and it make sense to make this fight as it will bring money for them and for the promoters.

Yes, they are domestic rivals and that's what interest their fans around the globe. And even if they fight during their primes, it will be very difficult to choose between the two. I'm curious as how the fans are going to be in the arena, could be one of the biggest and there could be taunting in both sides, hehehe.

5000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 11, 2022, 03:27:53 AM
Nice trade for 76ers, I don't know what would Nets do with Simmons. Drummond is a good addition and first round draft picks may come with good players in the long run but all these don't worth for Harden. They could get better players for Harden, I don't think they used him for a good trade.
Harden and Embiid may work well just like Shaq and Kobe or a better example, Mutombo and Iverson. I guess Sixers expect at least conference finals this year after this great trade.

We will see, maybe Joel will get a lot of touch on alleyoop, wherein Harden was known during his years with Houston, passing it to Capela for an easy slam.

But I don't know if they will be Shaq and Kobe or even Mutombo and Iverson combo. Harden is not getting any younger as well that's why he had injuries in the last couple of years. Last year was critical, it was during this series with the Bucks that he got his hamstring injured and now he suffers the same injury.
