Fully agree, nobody knows if people don't want to vote or they just don't know about the poll, many people complained on Telegram too.
Technically, STeX could add the NO-option right now, or tomorrow, or next week, but they choose not to which is sad because they said they'd be transparent with the community. Transparency means that if you create a vote, you have to present the results and say how many did vote for what option and how many abstained from voting. The way it is now, the system is in favor of the NO-votes because we actually need at least 50% voter participation from all STeX holders, that is if everyone chooses the YES-option. If people who are active choose NO, we need way more than 50% voter participation. The system right now automatically assumes that everyone who doesn't vote would choose NO, which is wrong imo. The correct way would be to set a needed percentage of voter participation + e.g. a two-thirds majority for the vote to be successful. |

So it means STeX is not a good project? Because it seems like many people in telegram did not vot for the yes. It simply said that they are not set STeX as their best project ever since no vote means no. Probably, if you are interested well to the project, you are making some efforts in voting it.
Well, it doesn't mean that STeX isn't a good project. If people think that the STeX team should stick to the original plan, they normally would vote with NO. But since there is only a YES-option, we don't actually know whether people didn't vote or if they would've voted with NO, that's the problem. It doesn't change the outcome but it makes interpreting the result more difficult. The project idea didn't change and is solid as ever. |

In general, the more people vote the better. It shows a strong community and the STeX Team knows that way that people aren't just invested with their money but with their time and that they'll try to do the best for the project (what is also in their own interest). That's the reason I would've liked to see a YES and a NO option like they did last time. I hope the community is active without being 'rewarded' for every step. Yea, that's probably a good idea, I'm also looking for this feature or rather those kinds of information about an exchange. It would really help in order to be able to compare them at a glace, esp. since there are so many new (and coming).
I'm not sure how best to list them though, as many exchanges have different fees for different coins/tokens and they are also dependable on whether you have coins from them (if they offer one) or not.

As I see it coinmarketdir is a really good selection of crypto-related sites and services and if you are new to crypto, you should definitely have a look at it as it makes the start in this new and exciting space much easier!

Direkt danaben befindet sich der Reiter "Prices", dort findet man u.a. Alternativen zu Coinmarketcap - hier ist es wie bei Suchmaschinen. Google ist nicht die einzige Suchmaschine, die man bei seiner Recherche berücksichtigen sollte
Zusätzlich gibt es noch eine Übersicht von News-Seiten und als beosnders Highlight Twitter-Accounts (natürlich mit Vorsicht zu genießen, da die Auswahl subjektiv ist).
Unter "Other" finden sich dann noch Punkte wie "Wallets", "Magazin", "YouTube-Channel" etc.
Aus meiner Sicht lohnt sich ein Blick auf die Seite vor allem dann wenn man neu in der Thematik ist und sich noch zurecht finden muss.

Wow, wieso bin ich erst jetzt darüber gestolpert. Respekt(!), dass du es überhaupt gemacht hast. Vor allem war es ja nur eine Frage der Zeit bis man Schlagzeilen wie " Britain's first Bitcoin heist as trader forced at gunpoint to transfer cyber currency" liest. Daher sehr mutig sich damit so auseinander zu setzen, auch wenn es ein Pseudonym ist, denn ganz so anonym und sicher ist man im Internet dann oft ja doch nicht, dank Social Engeneering & Co. danke the_cryptodude, lese deinen thread gleich durch und vielen dank für die ausführliche antwort mithrim da hast du mich jetzt auf den richtigen weg gebracht... bei meiner aktion vorgestern war ich wohl so richtig verpeilt. habe nach meiner ersteinzahlung bei kraken bemerkt dass 1. die 72 stunden sperre greift und es 2. keine ETH/EUR paarung gibt. das hat mir eniges an geld/zeit/nerven gekostet... aber SSKM. bei bitstamp hätte ich das problem nicht gehabt... außerdem habe ich dort einen fertig verifizierten account... aber eben noch nie verwendet. in zukunft weiß ich bescheid! vielen dank nochmal Gerne! Und wenn du sogar ein fertig verifiziertes Konto bei Bitstamp hast, umso besser  Bitstamp habe ich persönlich bis jetzt als den (meistens) besten Weg empfunden Fiat in den Markt zu bringen, außerdem ist der Support echt gut und schnell. Allerdings muss man bei größeren Summen berücksichtigen, dass Bitstamp einen eignen KYC-Prozess hat und sich selbst besonderen AML-Auflagen verpflichtet hat. Daher kann es sein, dass man nachweisen muss, wo das Geld her ist und wie man es erwirtschaftet hat. Auch hier ist der Support allerdings sehr freundlich und hilfreich und man muss keine Sorge haben, dass man z.B. sein Konto gesperrt bekommt oder nicht mehr an sein Geld heran kommt. I agree. but do believe they thought through to keep PreSale and 1st ICO holders in mind when coming up with new plan. I get the reason. USA Gov't just acknowledge Cryptos but will start cracking down on Security ICO's and that's what STeX is. By changing from a token to a Utility Coin for the exchange it does change it and solves a lot of issues STeX was facing.
Now is the time to start marketing and promoting....Wonder if it'll be with WINGS?

I totally support the new token idea, it solves problems and other exchanges do it likewise. What bothers me is the silence. If the project would've been totally new, ok, but STeX already has active investors. The voting could've been teased or something like that, I hope for the best |

Ok, das habe ich verstanden.
Aber: wenn ich meine Bitcoins jetzt abziehe (in eine andere Wallet), sind dann die private keys bei Coinbase wertlos ?
Also sollte Coinbase später doch BTG unterstützen, bekomme ich keine mehr aufgrund meines Guthabens am betreffenden Stichtag ?
Deine Frage liest sich zwar ein ein wenig verwirrt aber ich glaube, dass du wissen möchtest, ob du wenn du jetzt deine BTC woandershin überträgst noch BTG bekommen könntest sofern Coinbase sich dazu entscheidet diese seinen Kunden auszuzahlen, richtig ? Ja, du würdest deine BTG bekommen, sofern du nicht komplett dein Coinbase-Konto löschst. Was du mit "private Keys wertlos" meinst, ist mir jedoch nicht ganz klar. Bei Coinbase hältst du deine privaten Keys ja nicht wirklich, deine Bitcoin sind lediglich ein Eintrag in der Coinbase-Datenbank und werden nicht auf einer "persönlichen" Wallet die Coinbase verwaltet abgelegt. Du hast es zwar das Wort "Stichtag" verwendet, die Frage drumherum ist allerdings ein wenig verwirrend. Forks funktionieren ja wie in dem Schema gezeigt  Wenn du also nach dem Block an dem geforkt wird deine Bitcoin irgendwo anders hin überträgst, hast du auf der BTG-Chain ja immer noch all deine Assets (oder in dem Fall hat Coinbase diese). Was du also nach der Fork machst, hat keinen Einfluss auf deine BTG. Coinbase hat in der Vergangenheit (BCH) auch all seinen Nutzern, die zum Zeitpunkt der Fork BTC hatten, den entsprechenden BCH-Betrag später gutgeschrieben. Es sollte daher anzunehmen sein, dass Coinbase bei BTG analog verfahren würde. Hoffe das beantwortet deine Frage Cheers Mith |

Kommt ganz drauf an, wieviele BTC du hast. Unter Umständigen kostet dich der Wechsel von BTC zu ETH mehr Tradinggebühren, als der Unterschied an Transkaktionskosten. Und so hoch sind die Transkaktionskosten bei BTC im Moment nicht.
danke für die rückmeldung. da ich durch die 72 euro stunden sperre keinen stress habe werde ich das ganze nochmal durchrechnen Hey mole, Durchrechnen macht sicherlich Sinn, generell kann man festhalten, dass bei einem BTCETH-Kurs von 0.1 Withdrawals in BTC bei Kraken doppelt so teuer sind:  https://support.kraken.com/hc/en-us/articles/201893608-What-are-the-withdrawal-fees-Derzeit würdest du ca. 8$ zahlen, da könnte sich eine Umrechung in ETH ggb. wirklich lohnen. Allerdings musst du auch bedenken, dass ETH-Märkte auf Börsen oft nicht so ein hohes Volumen haben und deswegen die Preise teilweise erheblich abweichen können (meist schlechter, weil der Markt langsamer reagiert). Gibt es einen Grund, warum du über Kraken gehst? Bitstamp hat z.B: keine Withdrawal-Fees:  https://www.bitstamp.net/fee_schedule/Vielleicht macht für dich dieser Weg zukünftig mehr Sinn, denn auch ein Sepa-Deposit ist schnell und gratis. On the STeX UP page it says I've sent it to my wallet, but I can't find no transaction neither...
