501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why DEX (Decentralized Exchange) still unpopular? on: June 14, 2019, 01:55:33 AM
Decentralized exchange works as a escrow on peer to peer trade. So inspite of double conversion, it would better let users put any pair on exchange and do it when matched. For fees, users should have a exchange specific token on their wallet which would be deducted on matching.
Currenty the Decentralized exchanges are doing multiple conversion to make a simple trade happen.
502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Verification of identity compulsory on transactions over $1000 on: June 14, 2019, 01:11:33 AM
Verifying identity might not be a difficult task for citizens of many countries but there are also some countries where you end up in jail just for using cryptocurrency.
The data receied by FAFT could be asked by the member country and they would gladly provide the identitty of everyone that transacted over $1000 ending people into jail.
Sending $999 would be a workaround for some time but the solution would be to go decentralized.
503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any Decent Exchanges? on: June 12, 2019, 04:37:06 PM
If you want something decentralized, look for binance dex. I know you may seem concerned about the word binance but they have done a great job creating a nice looking decentralized exchanges where users keep their own funds unless the buyers and sellers matched by the platform. They are rapidly adding popular tokens at the moment.
504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Was Telegram's TON a scam after all? on: June 12, 2019, 04:31:44 PM
The ICO/private sell was actually for creating a blockchain called TON which would be used as a one stop solution for every kinds of communications. GRAM would be the currency of this blockchain and it would be open for everyone for use. So, it's not just Telegram but a new concept that could or could not change the future of communications.

506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: time of bitcoin halving omg on: June 12, 2019, 03:53:46 PM
Though last Bitcoin halving boosted the price. We can't be sure similar would be the case this time because there are several factors to consider which could lead to the price determination of Bitcoin. Scalability and transaction fees should also be considered as well as trust and adoption. With the rise in popularity of altcoins, Bitcoin halving may result in negligible change.
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin or coins you never gained money with? on: June 11, 2019, 11:55:54 PM
I really have a bad experience with raiblocks (Nano). I had some insights about that particular coin and bought some of it while it was only listed on its own exchange. Hodled it for 6 months and sold it with a loss of 50% of BTC value. And after a month of selling, It rose up by 1000% making me cry and curse my fate.
508  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Does lightning network really solve the scalability problem? on: June 11, 2019, 11:47:44 PM

I think that LN does not really solve the scalability problem at all.

It will scale the Bitcoin Network, but I believe no one knows by how much. 100x? 1000x? Or maybe less? Because of that unknown, then we simply cannot predict how much it will impact the volume of Bitcoin's usage.

Lightning network ofcourse solves the scalability problem. We can create a dozen of lightning networks if we need it. It's similar to something coinbase has been using within its platform. They were criticised at first for their model but now the whole bitcoin community is embracing the lightning network.
509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram's Gram token finally going on Public sale from July 10 on: June 11, 2019, 11:44:39 PM
So the most abused platform by the crypto-community is set out to create a token for themselves? I bet those bounty groups must have been really impressive to motivate them. I could definitely see this coming. Wouldn't be surprised if the entire ICO is carried out on telegram itself.

Telegram is a very unrestricted medium where people can do anything as they have many things integrated.
Not only does telegram a heaven for bounty groups, they are also one of the most used privacy focused IM.
Specially in the places with opressive governments, public are using telegram to communicate and share news which otherwise would not make it to the press.
510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poloniex will become great again! on: June 11, 2019, 11:40:32 PM
The margin trading and lending option in Poloniex have attracted many users. Poloneix provides one of the best investment oppurtunity in crypto. And unlimited earning oppurtunity through margin trading. The exchange now has an increased volume and you can easily exchange tokens as your need.
511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is NEO so silent! on: June 11, 2019, 11:36:11 PM
What we need to realise is NEO could keep up with the competion in tokens of it's genre. Ethereum not only was the pioneer but also the most actively developed blockchain that never left much void to filled up by other coins. Transaction fees and scalabillity did put off some users from Ethereum but NEO wasn't able to grab them as well. And Now, the newer competitor EOS has made a move to hall of fame while NEO still struggles.
512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is anonymous betting a desired feature? on: June 09, 2019, 02:03:43 AM
Anonymous betting would always be a plus point for users as when it comes to cryptocurrency based online gambling, there's several reasons why people choose crypto against fiat based gambling sites. And one of the major reason is anonymity. If you still compare crypto based gambling sites with fiat based, you'd find better odds on fiat based sites but still the number and amount are on rise for crypto based gambling sites.
513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Was Telegram's TON a scam after all? on: June 05, 2019, 04:26:15 PM
TON was a closed sell. Only selected investors got a chance to invest and the minimum amount for investment was $1 million. And the private closed sell was a huge success collecting over $1.7 billion, double the expectations. The funds are said to be used in advancement of Telegram and we'd to see more and more ads on coming times.
514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket World Cup 2019 Prediction Pool [Join FREE win x BTC] on: June 05, 2019, 04:17:19 PM
We all know India has a great batting line up but South Africa has been keeping India from scoring even a single. This would be creating more and more pressure as the run rate increases. It looks like a slow pitch hence, India need to play more singles if it wants a comfortable win.

Of course they know it. The last over was 5 singles. If India managed to get a boundry every 1 or 2 overs, they'll comfortably wing over South Africa. India has just proved they are one of the strong contender for the trophy but South Africa is not a strong hurdle as there are many more to come that could stop India from reaching the trophy.
515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - big announcement on the 1st June on: June 03, 2019, 05:40:04 PM
Hello, what is your opinion about new social platform Voice  that is going to be launched by Block.one (creators of EOS).
Do you think that they can succeed? Even Google wasn´t successful with its Google+. And do you see any use case of EOS on this platform?

i think it will be a success as long the social media has a feature to earn money while using it?

Voice do indeed have a mechanism of earning tokens just for using it, the content creators are awarded with the same token and for boosting of post and possibly advertising, you'd need the same token. So, it's one universal voice token which would be supplied to the users which would ultimately have a good price on the market.
516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: June 03, 2019, 05:34:27 PM
Now England needs 38 from 18 balls with 4 wickets remaining. Not unachievable but very difficult for the lower order to make that up. A great chase on the making.
Though it's sure England would try their best as they have nothing to lose it from here. Whatever the result may be, it's going to be one of the memorable matches of this world cup.
517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What keeps a gambler to keep motivated in gambling? on: June 02, 2019, 03:00:17 PM
Greed? Once a gambler gets a taste of gambling, he knows how easily he can make money out of it. He just don't care about the loss occured to himself but only sees how he can get back every of his loss and earn a profit. It's an additction that doesn't go away. Even if they know it's destroying them, they just can stop themselves.
518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are these coins shyt? on: June 02, 2019, 02:58:11 PM
lol is Tron classic even a thing now??? Jesus christ most of these look like upward scams to me... https://cryptotradernews.com/cryptocurrency/ouch-3-cryptocurrencies-who-didnt-get-the-bulls-message/

Thoughts?

Clams did gained some popularity and had a good community but it failed to evolve or be any better than other. I don't even know about the other two coins but if we are talkinga about other failed coins, Primecoin and Peercoin too comes into my mind. They too once had a large community but now are nearly dead.
519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket World Cup 2019 Prediction Pool [Join FREE win x BTC] on: June 02, 2019, 02:36:10 PM
With a large target to chase, this is going to be an exciting match for this world cup. This would be first of the high scoring match as South Africa would be fighiting till the end and has a good batting lineup while Bangladesh also has very good bowlers. I think South Africa would make more mistakes chasing the large target and fall short with 20-30 runs from win.
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to invest in holo coin? on: June 02, 2019, 02:30:13 PM
At this time, HOLO has reched one of it's highest price so the next step would be a fall. It would be wise to wait and buy this coin later as this has been doing some pumps and dumps regularly. They have still more to achieve their objective as they move through their roadmap. If they went as planned, they could be a good investment in long term.
