501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nationals currencies backed by btc hashing power or on bitcoin as a second layer on: April 20, 2019, 10:46:34 AM

What decentralised network has more hashing power than btc ? what are you talking about don't make sense.
If BTC is the only major decentralized network it doesn't mean that it could economically back fiat currencies.

how weak ? what do you mean that ?
From the national point of view rates of their currency should be stable and at the same time this currency should have liquidity. For now BTC have none of those features and nothing tells us that it would ever get them. This is why BTC is too weak.
502  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ukrainian elections, please answer on: April 20, 2019, 10:37:52 AM
First of all people outside Ukraine don't really give a shit about who is your president and how your elections are going. From what I know the Ukraine is a completely failed state, exactly as european Somalia. From what I see right now 9.4% of their export it seed oils, this is just like those banana countries in africa. Also one of the main ukrainian export items, unofficially ofcourse, is women. It seems like you can find ukranian prostitutes at all parts of EU.
This country is alive just because it is getting fees for a russian gas tube, that's it.
Ukraine is a european shithole, I don't think that I want to see them in EU. No matter what shitty president you gonna choose this time.

Hmm, I wasn't shocked, cause a lot of EU citizens don't realise why it is important to stay Ukraine Alive.
Ofcourse Ukraine is important. Russian nature gas is exported to Germany by tubes, that lay on the ukranian ground. When ukranians finaly destroy this tube, before russia builds another one, EU budget would suffer a great losses (mostly in german industry). That's the only thing why people know and care about ukrain.
503  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are Christians attacked in France? on: April 20, 2019, 06:12:19 AM
There are 42 258 churches and Christian buildings in France. 700 vandalism means 1.65% of them have been attacked. Which is already a bit less impressive.
I hope once your country will loose 1.65% GDP per year so you would feel that if you are talking about the entire country then 1% is a pretty big number.

-Christian attacks are stable through the years. There isn't an "increase in Christian hate", number of anti Christian acts are more or less the same.
How do you classify the "christian asts"? If someone has got annoyed by muslims and decided to burn some mosques that doesn't mean he is a religiuos christian. Ofc unless he started to drown in the holy water every muslim that is going to put the fire down.

-There is a historical hate of the church in France and... Believe me it's not going to disappear.
France is historically a leftist country. Leftists usually don't like churches. That's true.

505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Track and Trace on: April 20, 2019, 05:25:39 AM
I would like to see more details about this kind of reports because I haven't heard about any major exchange hacks in 2019 so it doesn't mean to be trustworthy. Also many of those hacks are nothing more than a scam from the exchange administration.
Hacks would keep happening just the same as people are robbing shops and taking cash in real life. The best way to save user's money would be some kind of insurance.
506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Comodities/Currency/as Payment Methode? on: April 20, 2019, 05:07:41 AM
It would be a combination of all of this. At first BTC have to be a commodity because it need to get a higher market cap and volume to decrease the volatility and make BTC more suitable to become used as a payment method and currency. There is no way that somehow all people will start using it as apayment method when it is much worse than the existing ones.
507  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TradingView tips and tricks on: April 19, 2019, 05:55:08 PM
I'm a user of good old MT4 so all those customization and even design of tradingview seems pretty unusual to me. Of course I've heard about this platform but never tested it by myself (trading from terminall, that is installed on your PC is easier for me) but now I'm curious to try it. I've noticed that accounts with all features in tradingview are not free so I would rather test it later but your thread is already bookmarked. Thanks!
508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nationals currencies backed by btc hashing power or on bitcoin as a second layer on: April 19, 2019, 05:03:52 PM
Those things are pretty unlikely to happen. Being backed by Bitcoin means that with every fiat transaction BTC will still remain somewhere in the national storage and this transaction won't influence the demand in BTC and crypto market in general. At the same time we need BTC to have a larger trade volume and MC to be able to represent at least something outside crypto market. BTC is too weak to back national currencies and nothing tells us that it would ever become strong enough.
509  Economy / Economics / Re: The Great View of History on: April 19, 2019, 04:30:08 PM
First of all goods from developing countries are not artificially cheap, they are just cheap and that happens because their labour is cheaper than ours. That's it.
The other thing is that fiat currency are better than gold or silver (if you are going to use it as a currency). Fiat currencies allows central banks to provide their monetary policy and stimulate a country's export and boost the economic growth of the country that would overcome the inflation. Meanwhile the economy doesn't work with deflation and if something like that happens you would get back to the middle ages pretty fast.
510  Economy / Economics / Re: Have you figured out what you are Investing in? on: April 19, 2019, 04:11:56 PM
This is not only about investor's personal research. Pretty often you may see an ICO with a good idea, decent team and vision about realization of their project but they are hardly hitting their soft cap and don't have enough volume and remain unknown on some shitty exchange. While at the same time ICOs with an obviously shitty idea but they are promoted by some well-known retards so this project is successfully passing the ICO, hitting an exchange, getting a high price, lose this price, get under pre-ico level and then gets delisted because the project is actually shit.
ICO details does not really matter while you are choosing where to invest your money.
511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC 2020 planning on: April 19, 2019, 03:52:47 PM
In 19's we buy things from USD
Will in 2020 we'll buy the thing from BTC
Staring planning to buy everything from only BTC
Gonna say bye to money...  Grin
Before we all enter this crypto paradise that you've described don't forget to find a good place under the bridge (or deep in the woods) and build your own small hut. Also it could be nice if you buy some canned food in advance because if you really believe that BTC would be the main currency in 2020 you would still have to eat something and sleep somewhere after you get disappointed in 2020.
512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India declines Bitcoin Legalization Again on: April 19, 2019, 03:48:45 PM
Bitcoin is NOT illegal in India. Being illegal means that there is some particular sanctions for holding, using and accepting bitcoin. This is when your government provides a policy when you can get in jail (or at least get charged) for being related with BTC. If such things don't happen in your country then Bitcoin is not illegal.
If there is no clear statement about cryptocurrencies in the law it doesn't mean that it is illegal.
513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The biggest Crime in cryptocurrency on: April 19, 2019, 03:37:13 PM
Cryptocurrencies are widely used to sell drugs, guns and porn. There are even marketplaces around the  dark web. They are illegal and at the same time pretty popular. I'm sure that internet drug stores have a huge daily volume of BTC that is passing thru them. Those numbers could be even larger than we've seen on those crypto scam reports and at the same time there should be a lot of creepy stories from the dark web where Bitcoin was used as a source of payment.
514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Economic and social impacts of BTC - Research ideas on: April 19, 2019, 03:29:52 PM
That would change absolutely nothing. To see some changes first you should make some actions. BTC doesn't really do anything, it is just a currency. Please show me an example when the existence of currency leads to some social / economical changes. That won't happen just because some crypto coin exists.
Bitcoin gave us blockchain. That technology may be used (and probably would be) and have a great potential, but it would be used without cryptocurrencies.
515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John "fucking" McAfee: I will reveal Satoshi on: April 19, 2019, 03:21:23 PM
Just remember that this old retard is a good friend of Roger Ver and a strong supporter of their "true Bitcoin" BCH. So as we see making a scamcoin and calling it a real bitcoin is usual business for him so it is hard to imagine what kind of bullshit he will show this time. Feels like it would be related to BTCSV but anyway, that's gons be some shady shit.
516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BOLT Labs Raises $1.5 Million for Lightning Privacy on: April 18, 2019, 07:03:36 PM
Emm... Why should we even care for LN extra privacy?

Lightning transactions are already pretty private.

This looks alot like PR to push this new company's brand name, never even heard of Bolt labs until today
Sure. It seems like Xzibit is trying to pimp the shitcoin when a coin (or in our case a service or feature, however it could be called) that is already private supposed to become even more private. And then someone would make a fork of this shitcoin that would be even more private etc.
The funniest thing is that most people don't need more privacy then we have with BTC and LN but all this spam makes them think that this is something serious.
517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BOLT Labs Raises $1.5 Million for Lightning Privacy on: April 18, 2019, 04:56:07 PM
Emm... Why should we even care for LN extra privacy? Lightning network is designed to allow users to perform micro payments in the offline shops fast without waiting for any confirmations.  So it would look just like cash with the same amount of privacy but it won't be able to send it to the other user because he can't open a channel.
It is as private as cash, what else do you need and for what purposes do you want to use LN features combined with extra privacy?
518  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best VPN service? on: April 18, 2019, 02:17:20 PM
Am using Tunnelsbear and enjoying it
Their design with a bear digging a tunnel to a chosen country is quite nice. Also support is always answering with dome roar like "Arrrrr". But unfortunately, they don't have much servers and they have only 500mb of free traffic.

Some months ago I've been testing different free VPN services. Most if them either work bad or have a huge queue and only a couple of free countries to chose.
Finally I chose Nord VPN. It is pretty expensive but imho it worse those money, especially if you can share your account with someone. Their best feature is that unlike most other VPN providers Nord VPN is not storing any information about its users, which makes your internet things even more anonymous if it is needed.
519  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Advice] Don't associate yourself with projects you're not a team member. on: April 18, 2019, 01:47:15 PM
In most cases those newbie accounts are only a payed shill for scam projects or they just want to push their own ref link.
But there is a point in OP's words. For example when people are getting a good amount of shitcoins it is changing their minds and they are trying to advertise this project in order to get more profit by increasing shitcoin's market cap.
It is easy to talk about this but when you are getting a good amount of almost free money this project for you would really seem legit, no matter if it is a scamcoin or HYIP that would scam everyone later. This kind of people would hardly listen to our words.

Back in the pre merit days such topics were very common and often created by bots to raise the post count. Glad that those times are over Wink
Naaah, In pre merit times we had tons of "Great project!" posts. Shilling threads remain until that days.
520  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why so many people say "Muslims are terrorists" Should we say that? on: April 18, 2019, 01:32:35 PM
There are however a lot of compatible goals within Communism and Islam. The left and Islam have a very strange alliance. They both seek a global government and use the other group to achieve their goals, and they both expect to defeat the other once those goals are achieved and the time comes...
The weird thing is that in US and EU leftists are wearing hijabs as a sign of protest while at the same time human rights activists in muslim countries are publicly refuse to wear hijab (also as a sign of protest) and getting arrested for that.

If people could separate the middle-eastern people from the muslim religion, we'd have an easier time dealing with these issues.
That makes some sense.
Current muslim stuff is an outcome of EU and US policy. In Australian mosques imams are telling people that women shouldn't wear hijab in Australia because it is not accepted by local culture. And for some reason generally, muslims are not arguing about that.
^^^ And even if it was all a set-up, just to make Middle East Islamists look bad, the dangers of Islam are really just as bad as the set-up made them to look.

Cool
I would also point out that for the last couple of decades there were no non-islamic terrorists except Breivik, but he is not a relevant example.
