501  Economy / Economics / Re: Countries with economy power controls the world. on: April 20, 2024, 03:09:44 PM
United States, China, Russia and Germany. This aforementioned nation's are seen as the most powerful nations of the world they all have a strong economy, strong economy is the beginning of a powerful nation.

Rich economy = better education = better overall living conditions = more budget for infrastructure = more budget for military power

Once a country gets their economy going then everything just follows suit. When they have the money they can pretty much do anything to be able to improve on their country whether that is to strengthen their defense or just make sure their citizens are being treated well.

502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't Altcoin a distraction to Bitcoin adoption? on: April 20, 2024, 12:44:08 PM
To tell you the truth, a lot of people I know who's into crypto started with bitcoin only in mind. But after some time of holding bitcoins, they realized that it may not fit all of their 'needs' that's why they explored with other alts.
Some bitcoin enthusiasts might be a tad bit aggressive as they think that the only coin nay currency that we will ever need is bitcoin but that seems too much because we have to be honest and say that not everyone is satisfied with how bitcoin works even though it is the top best cryptocurrency right now.

I don’t really see anything wrong with not using bitcoin for specific reasons.

Quote
it's only a matter of time before we encounter a blocker which leads to the development of another coin.

I know it’s still long but bitcoin will not be always the best and most functional currency in crypto but it is marking its own right now and for future generations it will always be the standard
503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you achieved anything from gambling on: April 20, 2024, 12:35:04 PM
What I do achieved to be proud off from gambling? is when I managed to get out from being addicted and this is a goal that I will always treasure and be proud.

that is really an achievement mate because there are very few that manage to leave addiction just like that so indeed that you
have to make sure to never become an addict again because you have done enough in life.

Quote
but back in the days that I am still involved in too much gaming? I achieved my goal to win multiple days in a row but that is not even 10% of my losing days lol.
this is why I am lucky not to become what have you done mate , because I knew that in gambling there are no winner but
the casino and the operator .
504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bull in Altcoins Sector on: April 20, 2024, 11:14:39 AM
Maybe they are waiting for pure bull run in altcoins sector. After that, they might be touch new record again. And top altcoins will be more and more expensive then now.

It’s not guaranteed that an altcoin will follow bitcoin’s success even if bitcoin is doing extremely well. It just increases the chance of more investors investing in altcoins since there is a general positive outlook in cryptocurrencies due to bitcoin’s uptrend.

But it does not necessarily mean that altcoins are going to be more expensive it still depends on their individual projects what they can actually offer to investors and if these interested investors would hold their coins for a long time
505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Original "Buy Bitcoin" sign for sale at an auction in a couple of days on: April 20, 2024, 10:55:19 AM

In a broader context, we can call that event a part of BTC history - because it's not just a piece of paper that says "Buy Bitcoin", it's the fact that a man wrote it and held it up in the middle of Congress while Janet Yellen (Secretary of the Treasury) was speaking. Considering their views on Bitcoin, it gives the whole thing some weight.

I can see how many can pass this thing and disregard it as it is not useful or interesting or worthwhile of money as anyone can get a paper and write ‘Buy Bitcoin’ on it.

But it holds a significant value at the time that it was written and showed to the world. Not much of the world were aware of cryptocurrency and bitcoin at the time so I can see how it can be attractive to hold a piece of paper that basically represents bitcoin’s history
506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now that Bitcoin halving have been completed, what next? on: April 20, 2024, 10:31:35 AM

  • What path will Bitcoin chose following the halving
It depends on how the overall market reacts and goes about the market. Bitcoin only reflects that of people’s perception about its value.
Quote
  • If this event will lead to more Bitcoin related innovations?
Definitely but only because every day many people are trying their best to come up with new interesting ideas to make bitcoin or just the cryptocurrency field a better one than it is now. Most likely also that bitcoin will have more interest attached to it and more people would most likely try to attract new investors with new flashy projects
Quote
  • If this will lead to more people getting involved in Bitcoin
Like I said I am certain that more people will grow interested in bitcoin as its price hikes up more and more it has always been expected that after a halving event it reaches a new ath all together

507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will altcoins ever cheap again? on: April 20, 2024, 10:04:05 AM
Altcoins are become so expensive. People who keep waiting to buy altcoins with cheap price during Bitcoin halving, are disappointed cause market is still on up trend.

Which altcoins are you talking about?

Not a lot of altcoins have gone to being an expensive one let alone overpriced. Maybe you are talking about ethereum where the gas fees are diabolical but it’s just one coin and there are a lot more cheaper coins you can still buy if you want to put some of your money into altcoins.

Most of altcoins are still affordable and I believe not all of them are going to skyrocket even with the celebration of halving
508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can people still get the addictive nature through friendly games on: April 20, 2024, 07:43:20 AM
If this is indeed a friendly game then you must all be know that you are not fighting against each others instead you are just enjoying the game with bets or not.

But for me ? our friendly game requires no money but just to enjoy our day together that we have been doing for many years now at least once a month when we have time to consume.
509  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin halving, how low the price can be? on: April 20, 2024, 07:27:33 AM
Next month will be Bitcoin halving, how far can the price go down? or how high can the price go up?
It was answered , 60k is the lowest and we still waits for the highest but so far the record shows 74k is the highest value of bitcoin before the halving.
Next month will be Bitcoin halving, how far can the price go down? or how high can the price go up?
Bitcoin price is very difficult to predict. However, according to past statistics, the price of Bitcoin increased a lot after Bitcoin halving. So expect Bitcoin price to go up a lot after this halving. According to past statistics bullran will start in 2025, so expect bitcoin price to be 150k higher or lower in 2025. It's just a guess, no one can make accurate predictions. It is very difficult to predict whether the price will go down or up before the Bitcoin halving, as the price of Bitcoin has fluctuated a lot for quite some time. If you want to invest then you can invest in DCA method and hold for long time.
History may or may not repeat itself again. And what had happened with the past halvings might not be the same with how the present halving goes. This shows how unpredictable the market is. And because of that, people find it hard to create accurate predictions or speculations as to how low or high btc price will be prior to halving. Some say that we will witness $100k for bitcoin, while others settle with $150k. But one thing is certain, everything is left uncertain these days, we can only tell about it once halving is already happening.
it is indeed that we have the different approach this year because we have broken the ATH before the halving and the price remain strong even now that we are celebrating the 4th halving time.
510  Other / Off-topic / Re: after the halving on: April 20, 2024, 06:37:00 AM

511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: THERE ARE TWO THINGS INVOLVED on: April 20, 2024, 05:49:18 AM

This is exactly what happens to gamblers who refuse to gamble responsibly but decide to chase their losses. I hope you all learned a thing or two from this little rollercoaster ride.
While most of your points(if not at all) are valid yet we must understand that other gamblers are not refusing the responsibility but its just that they are hooked that bad in which they cannot afford denying the betting and the losing.
but trust me some of them are dying to follow the responsible gambling but they cannot.

If you accept defeat and walk away, then you're safe, but if you say NO and decide to go in harder, there are still two things involved. It's either you get lucky, win and manage to recover your losses and then run away or you lose the bet once more and lose more than you planned to lose that day.

there are many gamblers who are like that where they prefer not to accept their defeat and keep gambling. as you said there are only 2 possibilities that will happen, they can win and recover their losses/get more money, or they can lose more money than they should. it is a natural law that people who gamble will accept this, so therefore gamblers must be able to wisely determine when they should stop and when they should continue gambling.

but mostly what happened is that they are losing instead of winning (only the site are gaining more)
512  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: April 20, 2024, 05:24:54 AM
if somebody wants to selfexclude from Fairlay, i could buy their old account from them (its anonymous anyways, only email and password, which can be changed).

WIN - WIN
Am still wondering why there is a need to buy an account when you can just create your own ? is it the status of the account that you are after? because I also believe that new account has bigger possibilities of winning from that beginners luck,.
_______________________________________________________

Self exclusion needs self control as well because what is the sense of you excluding yourself today but tomorrow you will just create an new account in other site that you can enjoy playing again.
513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What do miners do? on: April 19, 2024, 03:16:22 PM
Expecting the halving event, investors look forward to it even years ahead.

Many start planning out their plans around the halving event. Some buy as much bitcoin as they can during a dip while others accumulate bitcoin through dca method. The point is I am already well aware of how investors plan ahead halving event but what about miners?

Are there anything in particular they do in preparation of the halving event?
514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any other coins like Primecoin? on: April 19, 2024, 02:51:06 PM
I'd say Primecoin is a kind-of-a-kind PoW cryptocurrency that made its mark in the crypto industry. The code is open source, so what's stopping someone from improving it or making a new project from scratch?

Most likely profit.

If the coin is not going to gather investors then what is the point of developing it? Probably you would be the one to fund the development itself if you really wanted to. Many people these days are now kore concerned about what is ‘in’? Or what is the current trend rather than what could be beneficial for the crypto community at large considering the future as well.
515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Decentralized Exchange for Real Estate Actually A Thing? on: April 19, 2024, 01:29:31 PM
This seems promising to me and to be frank very practical however there is a chance that this could just easily fail.

Real estate and crypto are two different things and have different target audiences. It’s hard to integrate both of them into each other without losing their respective fundamentals. Maybe this is why not a lot of projects have ventured out into this field.
516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What did I spend my Bitcoin on? on: April 19, 2024, 01:08:49 PM
P.S. It's not the current exchange called BitMax because my transaction is from 2012 so predates it's existence.

Do you have social media where you talked about your bitcoin shenanigans? I am now overly curious and invested what Bitmax is if not the trading platform. The trading platform was launched around 2018 so of course it must be ruled out.

I don’t see much information about it. If ever it was something relevant back then then we would have some information about it now even if it is dead but the fact that there is none then that tells you one thing.
517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bnb network (trust wallet) on: April 19, 2024, 12:37:17 PM
what the different between BNB smart chain on smart chain (color black), BNB chain on binance (yellow) and OpBNB on OpBNB (light yellow)

BNB smart chain is basically a blockchain off of binance which is mostly used for its low transaction fees and compatibility with other decentralized applications. This was launched as far as I know for EVM.

BNB chain on binance is its native blockchain.

Quote
this is the same network? then if i send this metamask to trust wallet can i receive fund? i want to make it sure that fund can not be lose. https://imgur.com/a/kMSv5BQ

They are all independent but are also interconnected so if it is sending your funds then just make sure that it is configurated to the chain.
518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Neymar being addicted to online poker on: April 19, 2024, 08:18:22 AM
A recently viral video shows football star Neymar playing online poker while celebrating his daughter's birthday with a group of other people present.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-13299361/Neymar-online-poker-daughter-Al-Hilal.html

This to me goes to show that no one is immune from addiction. Neymar may have largeley solved his money problems but still he doesn't seem to be able to control his time spend gambling. Therefore he's seen utilizing his time very recklessly, prioritizing playing the right cards over living these once in a lifetime precious moments the best he can. And if a multimillionaire can get addicted in this way, anyone can. Consider this before spending too much of your precious time gambling. Put some limits and enjoy responsibly!
This is a showing how addiction can ruin even the best days of our life , How would his daughter feel after learning this that instead of giving His full time at that very special moment yet he is there playing gambling.
519  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do i manage my time? on: April 19, 2024, 05:31:02 AM
do the priority and what can generate you income , because if this can affect your daily job then try to control your time here (and if you mean by trying to learn trading and other forms to make profit) then try to spend your weekends in this forum mate.

First and foremost, im very grateful to be in this forum . I have been finding it very difficult to manage  my offline work and activities with this online forum . Please how do i go about this ?
My advice for you is that you should take your offline work seriously and spend time in the forum at your leisure because your offline activities define you more while your activities on the forum is just an added advantage so you should be more focused on real life and also spare time to come to the forum
also correct because this is not where we can feed our family for daily basis instead better to use your extra time to deal with crypto.
520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you stopped using bitcoin for small transactions completely ? on: April 19, 2024, 05:20:54 AM
Small transactions on bitcoin does not make any sense now at all. Like to make a $20 amount transaction, one has to pay about same amount, $20 in fees. This does not make any sense. Have you stopped using bitcoin for small transactions completely because of this reason ?
There is Lightning network to use in small transactions mate so I guess there is no need in stopping to use bitcoin for now , though I must admit that some of my friends and client advises me to transact with them using altcoins so yeah i have to comply with them of course.
