501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do think about skill games? on: September 15, 2020, 01:44:53 PM
It seems to me that most people responded here confuse skill based slots with skill based games. Skill based game is a gambling game which require some prior experience, knowledge, mental and physical skills, etc. What is important here is that skill based game doesn't really rely on chance or random. An outcome depends almost purely on your skill. Examples of skill based games: poker, blackjack, betting, etc. Skill based slot can be thought of as a regular slot machine with minigame built in. It is a combination of game of chance and game of skill. Examples of skill based slots: https://blog.betway.com/casino/top-5-skill-based-slot-machines/
I am glad that I came across your reply. The confusion may be brought about by the fact that this is a new and unfamiliar concept to everyone. I also read some replies, asking how a skill based game be incorporated in a slot machine. Now here is the answer. I think that many would be entice with this new trend in gambling and I’ll be one of them.
502  Economy / Gambling / Re: Biggest bet ever in the history of Bitcoin? on: September 12, 2020, 08:33:54 PM
With regards to those amounts that are being wagered, I really doubt if 50% of those bets are genuine because there is a big chance that the team behind the project
will just show that huge amount of winning just to market further their platform in short there is no genuine bet or winning that really happened.

But if there are really genuine bets that was wagered by someone then I am really curious also if what are the biggest bet or winning that really happened.
503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greatest Gambling Losers on: September 10, 2020, 07:45:29 PM
I can’t believe that there are players that would really go this far, if I were to put myself in their shoes, I can’t imagine if how will I take it if I lose these huge amounts. I would probably be devastated and won’t gamble for a time.
504  Economy / Gambling / Re: MintDice – Bitcoin Casino With Online Slots, Bitcoin Crash & Bitcoin Investment on: September 08, 2020, 04:57:43 PM
That’s a great news. Please keep updating us here. I can’t wait to test out these updates soon especially on my mobile phone since it is what I use mostly. And for that I hope it would run smoothly since some of the other casinos  with good graphics don't run smoothly on mobile phones.
505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance in trouble over listing scam defi token on: September 06, 2020, 06:25:44 PM
As much as it sounds displeasing to hear I think cz is making sense when he said nobody was forced to invest and all investment comes with high risk, people should learn to take responsibility of their action and stop looking for who to blame, those who invest in this Defi hype are greedy as well and should also be blame, already they knew the risk involved and yet they went ahead to invest but now putting the blame on an exchange.
Indeed. We are all responsible for our own decision. We are liable for the arising consequences of our investments.

Indeed, exchanges should take responsibility if ever they listed a scam project.  They somehow advertise that project through their announcement.  Aside from that, they take fees from these scam project to be a tool to scam people.  What CZ stated is not a reason for them to just list any scam projects.  Aside from that, if it is true that they claim that they review every project before listing it on their exchange just to get the people trusts but in truth they don't, then they really have to face consequences of of being a fraud.
But, exchanges are also responsible for releasing such information since this would encourage people to invest more.
506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin so unstable? on: September 06, 2020, 04:17:22 PM
Actually other investments are also unstable, even fiat is unstable. But indeed Bitcoin price movements are more volatile,
so some people call it unstable. The reason is Bitcoin adoption is still low and there are still many countries that haven't
legalizing Bitcoin, making Bitcoin's future unclear, this makes Bitcoin price unstable.
Volatility is really the main reason why bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are unstable and unpredictable, that is why it is hard to say when will the market will go up or down. But even we are in the middle of the pandemic, bitcoin have become stable in the $11,700 price that it doesn't go down below $11,000. It is also the reason why more people are buying and holding their bitcoins today.
Good point. You can always look at this on the negative or the brighter side. As stated by the many its volatility is a factor why many are engaging with it and with the right timing of making decision it becomes profitable.
Indeed, volatility is what makes Bitcoin attractive to other people, because of the possibility of gaining more than what you invested when its value increases. While Bitcoin has the potential of becoming really profitable, its value is dependent within the community it has right now. Any activity of this Bitcoin owners will affect the supply and demand so as the value.
507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: All your entertainment things must have an external limiting feature, agree? on: September 05, 2020, 04:35:37 PM
When your mind at stable state, you may assume like you have all the control over yourself. But when you are too excited with your adrenaline triggered, your assumptions definitely go upside down. This is the simple reason why we do come across lots of addicts everywhere. Yes, not just in gambling but with any other activities, which makes you feel like too excited or too aggressive may end up making you an addict.

Are you wondering why casinos are offering energy drink and alcohol and beverages for free, they studied it once they triggers excitement to their players they will become excited and stimulated to gamble, and once they played in an excited mode they will become addicted to it, we like to excite ourselves when we are playing we drink alcohol and caffeine not knowing our excitement to gambling make us addictive to it.
This is very informative, I must say. And thank you for sharing. But I have realized that if that the case, then these casinos are majorly contributing in making an individual to be indulged and addictive with gambling. Although, individuals should really get a hold and control of themselves, I think that they won’t be able to do so in this situation.
508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Blockchain a Good Career? on: September 05, 2020, 03:23:43 PM
Definitely. This is seen as the innovative alternative that will soon replace the old systems. Blockchain is being adapted by many companies and individuals because it really is the future, and this is among the biggest industries that could give higher profits to stakeholders.
509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING SITE INVESTMENT on: September 04, 2020, 02:02:48 PM
I don't believe investing in gambling sites is any different that investing in stocks bonds or anything else.

Quote
BUT of course, this is a gambling section so gamblers will be gamblers.

This is the difference you missed when you say you don't see the difference between investing in stocks and gambling sites.
Most of the investors in gambling sites or casinos are really gamblers in real life, they know they have the disadvantage so they understand that siding the casinos will make them profitable. This thread is already telling us investing in a casino is profitable since this thread has been running for months already, and profit so far.
I agree with you. While this is a topic of investments, there is difference if the investors if very knowledgeable and inclined in the sector of the target investment plan. As gamblers are very familiar with gambling, making investment with a gambling site won’t be new environment for them. Thus, strategies and accurate decisions are made.
510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's Image Is Getting Stronger by the Minute on: August 31, 2020, 01:29:04 PM
But I wonder how bitcoin will perform when the pandemic is over.

many people keep making very absurd forecasts and forget that the pandemic will one day pass and everything will return to normal, which means that people will continue to invest in the investments they have always invested, bitcoin still has a long way to go because of the lack of regulation ( a big barrier that limits bitcoin a lot). this price increase we are seeing we cannot think that people are running en masse to invest in bitcoin

What you said really made sense. Although enthusiasts are really going all positive about the future of Bitcoin and crypto industry at large, due to the evident increase recently, it is also possible that people would just go back to their normal lives after pandemic. By this, they will go back to old habits and old investments.
511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any VR crypto casinos? on: August 30, 2020, 02:23:26 PM
I have read a thread before with a concept of opening a casino supporting VR experience. Although it is widely tackled, there are no official opening of such and any recorded experience of any player. If this will be really pursued, I think that many will enjoy this.
I also read a thread about VR casino, maybe we read the same thread. I highly think that this idea could be an opportunity and increase number of players since it is something new to the gambling industry, as far as I know. Here is the thread that I have read, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5269422.120
512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't invest for quick gains only on: August 30, 2020, 01:58:37 PM
Mostly newbies are more impulsive when it comes to invest in a new project some are successful doing it but most of the time the chances pf loosing is much higher. But it's like a gamble that's why it needs to take the risk.
That is true. Newbies are very courageous when it comes to joining in new projects and trends. They are driven with their desires of gaining profits that is why they are willing to take that risk. After all, even if they lose profit, they will gain lessons at least.
513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Mobile Gaming on: August 30, 2020, 11:44:07 AM

Which is right. Those gamer are aware of using other digital currency and adding bitcoin is not hard to them. It's also adds great advertisement for those who don't know bitcoin yet, seeing that it's part of their options will give them time to search about bitcoin and
how things works using this cryptocurrency.

This cannot be implemented everywhere. The game developers will never integrate bitcoins as mode of payment in the games where the bitcoin are not legal. If they do, they might have to face legal complications. Other than this, many people will prefer it and use crypto currencies in games too.
This can be a possibility too, No developer wants to endanger their game because of the payment method and given the fact that not everyone knows how to use crypto as payment, Developers would probably go for crowds favorite payment method and the most common.

There are some games I know that are accepting bitcoin thru 3rd party services, It has some fees in it that's why I think it is one of the reasons why it is avoided, I didn't even try to use it, to be honest. But if the main plan is spreading awareness it could be effective since people are cautious living things and there is a high chance they will search it.
I get your point, and I agree with you.The legalization of Bitcoin and its image unto the eyes of the government can hamper the usage of Bitcoin with mobile games. There can still be some of association between the two by means of third party intermediaries or through advertisements within the duration of the game.
514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I gathered every Satoshi Nakamoto thread. on: August 29, 2020, 12:28:45 PM
I'm sure there many more. Enough to fill pages. If you use a scraper and scraped blogs and forums you will find so many results you literally would need months or even years to read through.
I don't really understand the fascination of satoshi. For me, I think if you will never find an answer why bother to look? It is like wondering what happens when you die, you can worry about it and think about it all your life or you can just live and get on with it. No amount of digging will find anything other but speculation and rumors. If you have a good imagination you could just make up many theories yourself.

So maybe you can summerize what you found short and sweet because that link list hurt my eyes and I get lost in it.
Yeah, this is another level of effort. And I think I am one of those who can't give my attention and focus on this matter. So I am also hopeful that there would be brief summary regarding these threads.
515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto after COVID-19 on: August 29, 2020, 11:47:03 AM
I bet that there will be a general agreement that Bitcoin is indeed resilient. Regardless of what is happening in the macro environment, it has survived. I think that in post-pandemic, many will stay in cryptocurrencies. They have seen its potential and they now will save a spot for this type of investment because they also believe that it will be resilient no matter what.
516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Research and Experience, There’s No Other Way! on: August 28, 2020, 12:57:24 PM
I agree with all of you. Basics can be easily understood but to have knowledge would mean deep understanding. And we may be all enthusiasts for a long time but learning from all our experiences will never end as experience is different from time to time. With that being said, if you really want it, you must be determined in learning.
517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Gameplays and Strategies on: August 27, 2020, 03:42:45 PM
Well, I remember before when I was exploring my self to play poker. There is not strategy because getting a card in your hand is that an odds is what on based on luck. So, perhaps there is no strategy on it while playing poker, --it is a matter of skills when you start playing. I suggest you install a poker app offline in your cellphone and play or study what is a good handcard. Op stating on was he wrote was right.

Of course there are strategies. You even have to develop them based on the cards you get and your position in the game. Poker without strategy would not be poker. Before you start playing poker, you should first consider some simple strategies. These include good money management, otherwise you will quickly become a poor man.

Meaning you can be successful playing poker with good money management and strategy? Do you know anyone anywhere that earns consistently from poker by depending on strategy, good money management, skills, etc?
If such people exist, then I don't see much difference between them and those earning sustainably from their businesses. People should aquire the right skills before going into poker, I think.

Poker is all about having good skill sand strategy to beat opponents. If someone is really good at it and can earn very good amount form it then yes they do not have to do job or businesses because playing poker and making money itself become job for them and there would be people who are depended upon the gambling money from the winnings by playing poker and other games.

Indeed, strategies are essential playing any game. And I think that for you to come up with strategies you must have enough experience and knowledge about it. Although, If I were to decide, I'd still choose to have a job while also earning from playing poker.
518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Think before joining any campaign on: August 27, 2020, 02:22:44 PM
Mostly bounty hunter not think before join to promote the project, like me sometime, i just check how many their allocation and click join button and next day i found that project flagged by moderator on accusation section with all he proof and i start deleting my post on all media i have promoted. its really taking up my time. not to mention the problem of sometimes convoluted payments always makes it difficult for us bounty hunters because we don't just participate in one project.

Therefore, you need to research carefully about the project before you want to participate in their campaign. Don't waste time with campaigns that are over budget, most of them are scams and you won't get anything from them after the bounty ends.
I agree. Lack of research would lead to unfortunate events such as scam and projects being left hanging without notice. Sometimes, with our desire to gain something, we jump off the bait right away without considering other things.
519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Whale Sold at $12,000 After 2 Years HODLing on: August 26, 2020, 07:43:19 AM
A Bitcoin whale, who accumulated 9,000 BTC in late 2018, has sold after 22 months and two capitulation phases.
Maybe that whale expected too much and missed the first chance to take profit in 2019. Then now the whale took profit with a second chance, in 2020. If he did not expect too much for the rally in 2019, he has at least 2 chances to double their BTC, the dump in late of 2019 and the latest one in early of 2020.

Fortunately, he accumulated bitcoin, hold it patiently and have not yet been panic by FUDs. Eventually, he had chances to take good profit.

Patience, determinantion, and stick with your plan as well as your belief in Bitcoin.
Definitely. Holding Bitcoin is huge risk but if you have faith in it, patience and determination to stick and go on with your decision you will surely reap what you sow. In this regard, Bitcoin is really worth for long term investments.
520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Space Race Wagers? on: August 25, 2020, 03:21:58 PM
What ever happened to that proposed reality TV program that was promising to send a crew to Mars (one way) with the landing / viewing as pay per view?

I also the news before like 2 years ago, but I am not sure. The news features people who are being paid big amounts so that they could sleep for long hours and also live inside a capsule that would mimic a spaceship that will bring people to the planet Mars. These people will simply live inside the capsule for a few months and scientists will measure everything that they can measure, so that they could know what would be the effects of long term isolation of humans due to space travel. I have not heard of that as well and whether the results are encouraging or not.
I have also heard about this before. I did not imagine that this concept would be really pursued more the following years. Although, I am wondering how would the results of this betting idea would be generated? Will it be base from the news as well? But what if different reports were presented?
