An amount (0.5% of total coins) has been created by us to act as the basis for this service. A small amount of these coins may be used for giveaways and bounties, as the community sees fit.
What do you mean by this? So you will already have 1.25m coins from the getgo to provide this 'service'? I don't mine a pre-mine if they use it to develop the coins. Also nobody should do this for free so some douch bag with plenty of hashing power can get rich off of the developers hard work.

I think its pretty solid, I wish I could mine this coin I like the 40sec block time, and ascending block rewards fuck I gotta get a rig already

Hey guys. I'm not a techy expert or overly familar with alt-currencies so please forgive me if this has been covered before.
Personally I don't like how easily the bitcoin price can be manipulated through the normal centralized exchange model. Furthermore I'm not really a fan of bitcoins deflationary nature either. For me it is too much a commodity and too a little a medium of exchange.
I was wondering if there are any alt-coins that focus on having the actual fiat exchange built into the currency itself (through the client). Instead of limiting the maximum amount of coins in existence, the physical amount of client users would determine the current absolute value of the coin. i.e. the more users the greater the coins value. This would be counteracted by another algorithm measuring velocity of circulation. Again the value of the coin in the exchange is subject to velocity, too much hoarding? Value goes down. Plenty of spending? value goes up. Basically it regulates itself through an algorithm that takes into account economic factors to maintain its functionality.
The currency is not exchanged in terms of bids/asks, rather the price is absolutley set and traded through the client. The only way in/out of the currency is to accept the current price as set by the algorithm. Whilst the price is set by the algorithm the fiat would still be exchanged through a decntralized medium.
Is this actually possible? Has someone suggested this before?
Check out microcash it is to be used as a currency, cryptos evolved away from tht so your right its more of a commodity like Gold

Bro you didn't do your homework large blocks at the start discourages people from wanting to join this coin...you should have made it low to base. research next time, all the early rewards are going to be dumped into oblivion and your coin will suffer
|
|
|
Ascending payment rewards low to high so that early miners cant horde most of the coins and dump umm once they hit an exchange.

hazard should use his talents for more constructive things, he prolly has some skill.

the community that stands behind and support the coin they mine
|
|

ppl still doing this all these new coins are over priced. If it hits an exchange I'll prolly get it for less then 1cent

Is it possible to change the block times from 15secs to like 30secs?

Selling 11k FST for 10 LTC total.
10 WDC for ecerything

Virtual coins have no intrinsic value. Value is based solely off robustness of the code and owner confidence in the coin. Given a fair launch with good metrics and a large enough community any coin could rise to the top. If confidence is high individuals will buy and hold coins for future value, if not they are dumped on the market and the coin dies.
Of the current crop of coins my bet is on DGC and WDC largely due to community and developer support.
In the United States neither paper currency nor deposits in bank have value as commodities. (Modern Money Mechanics) Federal Reserve publication...We don't need a lecture on what has intrinsic value, even the dollar is worth shit and only has value because we accept it.

I'll give you 6 WDC for everything
|
|

I think that DGC prices are artificially being kept high the volume there at cryptsy is so low 5BTC could easily pump it up 1 digit. WDC is deliberately being lowered by certainty ppl like myck. I literally seen him take the price down form .00018 to .00011 and he was having a blast while he was doing it. In the end I think both of these coins are superior to a lot of the older Alts but I guess the 2 communities are battling it out because they came out around the same time and are the fastest coins so far. And who says there can only be one?

|
|
I think its because it hard to get through the genesis block at diff 1.
