501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: in between the decision to hold or sell on: July 02, 2021, 10:50:07 AM
It depends on what coin is your friend holding, it would be better if you include what coin is he holding so we can also suggest what he or she will do. If the coin that they are holding has the potential to grow in the future then it is better for him just to keep holding it, 25% should not be the target if they know how good the coin is.
I agree with you too. I believe HODLing should be in direct correlation with the type of coin the person is HODLing. If the project you have invested in is good enough then holding for a much longer time shouldn't be a problem because you know that it will always recover and they might eventually hold longer even after their initial 25% target has been reached.
So it all depends on your coin/token.
502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The right time is now! on: July 02, 2021, 10:43:59 AM
We know the general market is in a downward trend here and there's nothing about Rugpulling here and exit scams even though I get what you're saying. In this term like I said, the entire market has seen a downward price action and this is usually considered a good time to buy back in been though most people are still afraid if the market is going to go down more and are reluctant to reinvest at the moment.
Not knowing where the bottom is could make people scared of going in, I can understand that and it makes sense, however just because you are not sure if this is the bottom, doesn't change the fact that we dropped 50% already. Which means if you buy right now, and wait for it to go back to ATH price again one day (which it always does, one year or few years later but it still does) then it means you are going to profit from it even if it drops to 10k eventually.

So not buying right now is not a good move, doesn't matter what your reasoning is, doesn't matter what happens next, it is always a good idea to buy right now. Of course you could still wait and if it drops more than you can profit more but we are not certain if it will go up or not, which is why we should not be risking anything right now and buy it. That's at least what I am doing right now.
Definitely, it is all about the belief in the market and what you are investing in. We cannot predict the exact bottom as you mentioned and people should understand that and also know that the market has dropped significantly which means we might not see too much drop again even if it might go down some more so buying in now is a good choice as we stand a better chance than hoping to see more drop only for the market to rise and you buy at a higher price.
503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you pay with Bitcoin whenever you're able to? on: July 02, 2021, 10:20:31 AM
Definitely but I will only do it for something that will help me make more money so for example, I plan to accumulate some bitcoin and spend about half of it to buy a team in Axie Infinity to breed it and sell the offsprings. But if we are talking about small purchases, I think that the potential value of bitcoin far outweighs the need to spend it in sats on things that you can just buy with fiat.
Me too. kinda think anything I have to spend my Bitcoin on has to be something that I would feel like I have not lost my Bitcoin or satoshis, For now, If for any reason I convert some to fiat and spend them will be more relaxing for me than spending Bitcoin directly so will want to feel some extra income or earnings coming from where/what I spent my Bitcoin on.
504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Never sell your Bitcoin? on: July 01, 2021, 01:43:30 PM
Once I accept a long term investment I myself will never sell my BTC at today's price because I believe BTC will reach the next top at $100k there is no reason for me to have to sell my BTC now and i believe in the future of BTC  Wink
It's true what you said, buddy, we shouldn't sell bitcoin right now, because we believe that the price of btc will eventually go up again, because we all know that the price of bitcoin is unstable. going up we can definitely make a lot of profit, so when bitcoin goes down we have to be patient never sell it.. rest assured after the rain a rainbow will come out
Yeah, that is the theoretical explanation and if that was the real case, we wouldn't be having all these market price dips that we are having any time someone supposedly influential speaks. Sometimes I do understands that Investors sell not because they are cutting losses but as a strategy of buying back when the price dips because we know it will as not everyone can HODL as expected but others cut loss due to fear which naturally shouldn't be the case if they have even bothered to understand how Bitcoin works.
So even when we know that the market will recover from price dips but we still end up seeing people selling when they shouldn't.
505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market is recovering, what steps are you taking? on: July 01, 2021, 01:34:19 PM
Nothing. I had stayed out of the market before the big crash happened during the ATH. Securing your profit and setting realistic goal is a must. It is better to sell early than to be left out at the top.
Cryptocurrency market always turning step by step. One you have passed crashed market then you could get bull market. A few days ago we got a bear market $29k BTC but now market again $35k ...so we always ready for any situations...
Bitcoin Price hitting $29k doesn't mean we were in a Bear market, Bear market will usually last longer than just a few hours or days and the price jumps back up by almost 10%. From the ATH I believe that we witnessed a correction of about -50% which is expected in a market that has gone up sharply over time.

You can see that since the drop, Bitcoin has just been trading in that parallel channel with no true direction yet and People can take this for a different action, Buy and HODL for a possible upward move again or keep waiting to fully confirm its direction before buying.
506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The right time is now! on: July 01, 2021, 01:07:40 PM
There is always a chance for us to get profit, when the market is down like now then buying is the best thing, if the market continues to go down then be patient and always optimistic that the market will shine soon. It's happened often occur.
buying when the price goes down is a good choice because when there is an increase, we can get a fairly a lot of profits, but maybe we can divide in several times the prosptors at different prices if the current price is still decreasing so we don't miss the opportunity to buy when the price is really low
we can called it averaging or maybe using martiangle technique to get lower average price. Buying on price drop should not be careless with the lastest news or fundamental that influenced this movement, we should becarefull if its caused by exit scam or rugpull. Some traders didn't find any update why price could drop , and it could make us suffered loss.
507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee is dead, are his coins lost? on: June 30, 2021, 12:37:44 PM
I believe issues like this have been discussed in this thread before and it is no different with the Late John McAfee RIP. I believe he must have shared the necessary information with his wife at least or a trusted family/friend should in case something bad happens and I saw him as a smart person that will not allow that to happen and I hope he was able to do share that with is loved on cos if not, it is just another lost asset of cryptocurrencies.

It is not necessary that he need to provide the private keys to his spouse or some relative. Those who are having a few years of experience might have heard about "dead man's switch". Some of the wallets have this option. If the wallet is not logged in for a specific period set by the owner (6 months, 12 months or even 24 months), then after this duration the coins will be transferred to a "nominee wallet" which has been previously selected by the owner. So the spouse or the relative doesn't need any new information to access these coins. After a certain duration, they will receive the coins in their wallet.
That is great and if this is the case, those types of wallets with that option should be every investor's go-to wallet because of the inevitable. While most people have been having issues whether such wallet access information should be shared with loved ones, with this option that wouldn't be a problem knowing crypto assets won't be lost.
508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can play tricks on your mind on: June 29, 2021, 06:50:16 AM
A strong mentality is the main capital to become a btc businessman.  If you are not strong then you cannot produce clear ideas.  The long-term scenario for you is a must to consider, and how many of them regret selling btc in 2009. If they sold it now then most likely wealth was on their side.
You are right. I believe most investors in Bitcoin now only see what is happening in the immediate market price and don't seems to understand or take into consideration the past Bitcoin history and how Bitcoin has come back from market dips like this before.
Again if you are entering the market as a trader then you gats to be prepared for the constant volatility of Bitcoin price and this will constantly put you on your toes but I believe investing for a little longer time is best.
509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has the world become greedier since BTC? on: June 29, 2021, 06:38:32 AM
Since BTC and crypto everyone wants to get rich and earn a lot of $. Everywhere you look it's the same story, be it BTC or any other shitcoin. It's obvious not everyone will make it.

Yeah, getting rich is nice and I also hope it will happen for myself but I feel the society is becoming way too materialistic. Also the greediness level seems very high, everyone want to get more and more.

What's your view on this?

Remember why Bitcoin was created? As a response to the bailout of a bank during the financial crisis. If there was ever greed at horrifying levels in the world, it was already there before Bitcoin existed. 2007!
True, greed has always been there but since the existence of Bitcoin, people have now found a new investment that can supposedly make them satisfy that greed quicker.
This is no longer news, people have seen cryptocurrencies as a means to getting rich quicker and satisfying the greed that's already in them so it is not BTC that's is causing the greed but just a way people believe they can make money quicker to satisfy their want even more.
510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it the right time to legalize Bitcoin in Bangladesh on: June 29, 2021, 06:26:19 AM
it wont be in good position if they wont start adopting the use of btc now .
i dont believe that they are protective but it was clear that they try to avoid btc because they cant launder money anymore if btc takes place .
there is no rules about crypto in bangladesh but why they declare it illegal ? this is another proof that they dont want people to use cryptos but people should not be afraid and do what they think was right .
I believe the reason some countries even ban or not accepted using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is because they believe that's even a much easier way for.money laundering. Do you truly believe if Bitcoin was legalized in Bangladesh it can help to stop money laundering?
I believe most of the government that have not accepted cryptocurrencies yet understands most importantly the freedom it brings to the people financially hence all this trapping down on it.
511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why on earth do you own bitcoin? on: June 28, 2021, 07:36:18 AM
Recently everyone is very anxious, the market from time to time falls, sometimes with the negative news waterfall, sometimes without the negative news waterfall, as for the positive news almost no, it really makes people hate the teeth itch. Whether it's profit withdrawal or principal loss, watching your money slowly being eaten up by the market is generally an individual's anxiety. The more we get to this point in time, the more I think it's important for us to ask, or for us to ask ourselves, what are you holding bitcoin or Ethereum or any other digital currency for?
Even with all the so called waterfall you think has been happening to Bitcoin price, it is because you are looking at the shorter or immediate gains in Bitcoin. Purse and take a look at a wider time frame from when some invested in Bitcoin back in like 2000, do you think such those investors see the fall in Bitcoin price the same way you do? The same way 10 years from now if you still have Bitcoin from this investment, you would see it differently from those that will be investing for the first time then.
So I also believe that Bitcoin is better for more longer time investment.
512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to my bitcoin if I die today? on: June 28, 2021, 06:28:34 AM
I believe this has been an ongoing issue for sometime because I have see people talking about how they cannot share their cryptocurrency login informations with anyone because they don't trust such and such persons, and you are around them but don't trust them enough to give them that kind of info.
You must have at least one trusted family/friend you can share with because at the end of the day, would we want our crypto assets to be lost forever without our loved ones benefiting from them because we didn't share our info at the time of death?  I for one don't want that.
513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will never be gone on: June 27, 2021, 12:27:31 PM
I agree to it Bitcoin would always be here with us as long as we would continue to support it.
And for me the support for Bitcoin would never end since it gave people their financial freedom so yes it would never be gone.
I hear you and I support that too but we know that the real Bitcoin supporters are few compared to all that are in Bitcoin and most in Bitcoin right now are for the profits even though we can still argue that all in Bitcoin are for the profits and this is made possible by Bitcoins constant volatility but will this still be the case when all the Bitcoin available have been mined?
Will it's price still be this volatile for profits making or will it just be as ordinary as the Fiat currency for basic transactions?

Why shouldn't DogeCoin go down and why should it even go up in price?

What does DogeCoin offer that should make it go up in price?

Have you seen the market lately? Even the best of the best with everything to offer in terms of product delivery are going down in price.

If not for all the hype DogeCoin had from Elon musk, would it seriously get to the price it traded in its ATH?
515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still thinks that crypto is manipulation free? on: June 27, 2021, 11:28:50 AM
It's not the right time to start buying crypto coins right now because the next chapter for crypto with be filled with lots of bad news just to pull crypto value down and down so that they can buy for way cheaper price, who are they anyways? We'll figure that out yourself, bear market is 💯 real and it's coming, be prepared for more bad news

I never think that way, there's really manipulation going on not only on Bitcoin but on every coin that is in the market, in fact, there are a lot of channels about trading signals and it's coming from whales who wants to manipulate the market and these people are following its lead.
That's the truth. I too believe that all markets like this are usually manipulated but cryptocurrency just happen to be very obvious. With all this Big players (Institutions) coming into the space and the whales wanting more, this shouldn't be a surprise because these are the ones that have the power/funds to drive the market which ever way they want and we are witnessing this happen.
Of course there are huge manipulation of the market but we just have to know how to play along and not lose too much of our investment.

516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL...until when? on: June 26, 2021, 10:28:54 AM
Those who advocate hodling, when do you cash out?

I mean, dying hodling is not the plan, is it? Eventually, you'd need to enjoy the fruits of your patience, right? When is that, when someone says "hodl"? Is it a savings plan? A retirement fund? What does it mean to hodl?
HODLing your Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency cannot be forever. You most certainly have a time when you just have to realize that your Investment is good for you to take profit from. Cryptocurrency is investment right, and if that is the case, I don't see why investors should hodl forever and not enjoy dividends or profits from what you have invested on, so every investor will definitely have their own time to take some profits from their investment.
517  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low will Bitcoin go? on: June 26, 2021, 10:21:17 AM
It looks like Bitcoin's been on a constant bloodbath, struggling to get past the $40k mark. China, Elon Musk, among many other things, have caused the crypto market to go bearish. At the time of this writing, Bitcoin sits at around $33k per coin. A couple of days ago, Bitcoin was valued at $31k per coin. This is a good opportunity for those who missed on the train to grab coins at discounted prices. But it's a terrible situation for those who bought some Bitcoin when it was close to the $60k mark.

I'm wondering how low will Bitcoin go in price within the next couple of months? Will we likely see Bitcoin heading back to sub $20k prices? Or it is too late already? Do you plan to buy more Bitcoin and "hodl" strong? Or do you plan to sell it all? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley
Personally, I don't think this is the time to sell. If you bought in around the ATH $60k and you have not sold till now then, now is not the time to sell, I think we should continue to HODL till Bitcoin recovers because no matter what is going on, It will only take some time before it blows over and the uptrend starts again and those that sold will start to regret why they did. History has thought of much with regards to Bitcoin price movement and we said this for people that bought back in 2017s ATH at around $20k which later crashed to $3k+ and eventually saw $60k+ if they have HODL all this while were in good profits and that's what I see for this market now.

If I had more funds, I will definitely be buying more Bitcoin or even if it goes down some more.
518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Don't Want To Hear Anybody Crying When BTC Will Reach 1M Per Coin! on: June 25, 2021, 03:59:49 AM
I remember when bitcoin hit above 60k$ i saw a lot of people regret not buying bitcoin before. Maybe they really want to, but they can't overcome their own fear. And now bitcoin is at around $30k. I also told them this is a good price to buy bitcoins. but again they continued to panic as they watched bitcoin drop from $64k to $30k.They think bitcoin will go to zero soon, surely they will regret it more when BTC will reach 1M per coin!.But please respect their choice.
The question is, why would anyone thinks Bitcoin will drop to zero just because there is a drop in price from $60k down to $30k? Has history not thought us anything at all with regards to the Bitcoin price trend? Didn't we see a drop from about $20k to $3k+ bitcoin price before? all these are perfect opportunities to get in big except you don't fund. Surely, some will cry when they realize they missed the opportunity again to have bought more in the dip.
519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some words of encouragement during this market crash on: June 24, 2021, 08:29:55 AM
The markets is looking horrible

Is it really though?

June 21, 2013:     $102
June 21, 2014:     $595    (An annual increase of 483%)
June 21, 2016:     $715    (An annual increase of 9.6%)
June 21, 2017:   $2,785   (An annual increase of 289.5%)
June 21, 2018:   $6,785   (An annual increase of 143.6%)
June 21, 2020:   $9,400   (An annual increase of 17.7%)
June 21, 2021:  $31,750  (An annual increase of 237.7%)

What part of that looks horrible?
The problem is most investors now are looking at daily, weekly, and at most monthly charts or market trends without looking at the big picture. If we really look at Bitcoin price based on how you posted it here, most investors would realize that investing in Bitcoin at any time will eventually still put you in profits even though investing in it at a lower price is more profitable hence all this FUD to drag the price down by whales and Institutions.

520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I feel uncomfortable if I don’t buy on: June 24, 2021, 08:23:39 AM
Don't worry about it because you already have bitcoin that you are hodling so I think that you worrying yourself to death won't do you any good. Maybe the reason that you didn't have any money now is because you will have one when the real dump in prices happen.
Whether there is a further dump shouldn't be the question but as you already mentioned, the OP already has some Bitcoin that he Bought which is the ultimate. There are many that are wishing they have some funds to buy at any point of this dump and the wait is part of the system. It doesn't matter how long it takes as long as your intention for investing is true, you will make those profits sooner than you think.
