if you dont have much time to research about ICO which you're going to buy then i advise you should not invest to ICO. Reason: Now everyday is rising many ICO that 90% is scam project so why must you expect to advise anyone? Moreover, it's difficult to determine the time buy token, many token which increased its price after ICO end but many token of a good project was downed when ICO was end (example: Centra token) |

I am new to this forum and to the world of cryptocurrency. The volume of threads here is overwhelming and I think it will definitely take time for me to absorb key information here.
I have a quick question. I am a newbie to all this so please pardon me if this sounds silly question.
I have $2k-$3k to invest into cryptocurrency. I am not looking to become a millionaire out of my investment. My goal is to earn enough money to achieve my goal of about $50k (for my mortgage payment). There are so many ICO's out there and it is quite a challenge to find the right one. I have an account in coinbase and I bought 1 Litecoin for the sake of it (just to get started).
I am thinking I could invest some in Litecoin/Ethereum and probably some money once a blockchain goes live. I don't feel comfortable investing in ICO because I don't know what will happen when it goes live in exchange. If you need to chose between Litecoin and Ethereum, what would you recommend?

You have $2k-$3k to invest into cryptocurrency and you want to earn $50k from your investment means you want to X 25 time your money by invest into cryptocurrency but this is really not easy if you invest into reputation and high price coins as bitcoin or ethereum then you will difficult to reach your goal. i think you can reach your goal when invest into low price coins as Waves, OmiseGO, Firstcoins |

Bitcoin could be your best choice but you can always switch to ethereum for stability and consistency.
Of course Bitcoin is the best of choice, Ethereum too. If you have a lot of money then invest to bitcoin and ethereum is safe but if you just have a little money then you should invest to altcoin, why? On January, 2017 when bitcoin was $1000, majority of us did not think that bitcoin will reach $6000 in year 2017.
Some profesional guess that bitcoin will reach $3000 in 2017 but bitcoin passed to $6000 even reach $7000 on december, 2017
Now bitcoin is acttracting to intersted in a lot of people and becoming a investment channel that bring big profit for investors

Guys, I own 6 different alcoins and during the dip i followed them all go down as the bitcoin was losing in value. Then yesterday when things started stabilising they were all without any exception all rising in value as the bitcoin raised too. So if bitcoin is driving all prices up and down, what's the point of playing with altcoins if no matter what techonology they use and what team stands behind them they ll just follow the bitcoin lead? I am not sure about you but this last situation depressed me a lot, and I would love to read your opinion.
Before you're just research 6 altcoins/1157 altcoins hence you dont see altcoin which still increase value when Bitcoin was down. BTC Dominance is 51.6% Coin Market Cap so bitcoin will control the market |
