501  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which exchange?! on: February 18, 2014, 05:36:32 PM
No major ones that I am aware of.
They will also add GBP as a new currency in the very near future, so the volume over there will only increase Smiley
502  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which exchange?! on: February 18, 2014, 05:32:35 PM
I prefer kraken.com:

-very clean layout
-easy to use
-cheap SEPA withdrawals
-advanced security
-fast
-very good reputation

You're questioning the authority of the TS posts based upon his activity.
Why should his opinion matter less or more than mine or yours?
504  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where do you sell your coins? on: February 18, 2014, 03:37:13 PM
I prefer to use kraken.com as they have a very good reputation and offer low cost SEPA withdrawals.

tell me again why your opinions matter???

Judging people by their postcount is so 2013..
He might be more active reading the forum than you are, and why should someone that's new not be allowed to express their opinion?
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarket.io | New, self-moderated support and news thread. on: February 18, 2014, 01:05:39 PM
Exactly, for me they're the best altcoin exchange thus far.
Also no announcements on Twitter..https://twitter.com/CoinMarketio
Hopefully we'll get an announcement regarding the downtime asap.
508  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-02-17] Why Mt. Gox May Be Headed for Bankruptcy on: February 18, 2014, 12:59:33 PM
I hope they do not recover back to no.1. exchange again. Let them have 5% of the market for laggards and historical value, other 95% should go elsewhere. We had enough pain caused by the one and only dr. Gox.

Exactly.
Once upon a time they also a huge amount of volume which damaged the decentralized nature of bitcoin. Hopefully bitstamp, kraken, btc-e and other good exchanges will take their marketshare.

55 euro for a 8GB SDHC card also seems somewhat..expensive to say the least  Shocked

I'M BACK IN MY WALLET!!

I knew it was temporary, now if they can just check on that Doge in queue that would be awesome

I'm having the same problem at the moment.

512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investors Pump $600,000 into Swedish Bitcoin Exchange Safell on: February 18, 2014, 10:35:20 AM
Good news!
A new solid trustworthy exchange can only be seen as positive to the entire bitcoin community.
513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: bitcoin-qt failed to read/write block on: February 18, 2014, 10:30:27 AM
I was wondering if you are still facing the same problem?
If you managed to solve the error, could you post the solution here?
514  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MONEY NOT REFUNDED TO DATE on: February 18, 2014, 10:26:55 AM
We understand that you must be angry, but please don't solely use CAPS. A line break every now and then also doesn't hurt  Wink
515  Economy / Goods / Re: About to open a storefront that will sell goods with crypto and ALT coins on: February 18, 2014, 10:18:56 AM
If I were you I would think again about the products you are going to offer. Gardening items and electronics do not have that much in common.
Also, except for the fact that you'll accept crypto and altcoins, what will differentiate you from other businesses in the area?
Where exactly do you plan on opening your shop?
516  Economy / Economics / Re: What is up with weekends?! on: February 18, 2014, 10:15:23 AM
The fact that banks do not work on weekends so people can't convert fiat into BTC could also have an effect.
517  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A bit daunting on: February 17, 2014, 09:48:54 PM
Thanks everyone for your replies. I have a freind in work who wants to sell me 30 ant u1 bitcoin miners for 3 bitcoins. Is this a good deal and can I mine scrypt with them?

If you want to know if they are profitable (make more money mining than you spent on them) check a mining calculator such as this one: http://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator

519  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are there any other Optimistic Bears? on: February 17, 2014, 09:37:35 PM
Just broke $266, which was the high of wave 3. This is significant for psychological reasons

And yet, in my estimation, and the coming mean-reversion bounces notwithstanding, the bear market in Bitcoin is just getting started

It would be significant if MtGox weren't almost completely decoupled from the wider market.
Indeed. MtGox is not representative of BTC prices anymore, even moreso than when they had their +20% premium on the upside.

Who actually lost wealth on mtgox's BTC/USD price going down except for MtGox users? Coinbase, Bitpay etc. do not use MtGox prices, apart from other exchanges.

I'm pretty sure MtGox going bust would be all over the media, as many still seem them as 'the' exchange for bitcoin.
This would create panic, and panic is what drives the price lower..
520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people have received random .00000001 transactions to their wallets? on: February 17, 2014, 09:24:28 PM
Luckily did not receive any so far.
