501  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Not Trade By The News, Follow The Price Action on: September 18, 2019, 10:33:13 PM
Problem with News about Cryptocurrency nowadays is that there are sites that publishes positive news about a project but you will be surprised that they are being paid to provide positive news to make their company look good to the people but still its up to the users who will decide if the news will make a difference in their decision if they will Buy or not. I am not sure if CNN also publishes news that are sponsored. Lately I see them publish  news about the price of Bitcoin and people who backs Crytocurrency.
502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Money is Dirty Money on: September 18, 2019, 10:21:34 PM
This to me is a traditional view which remains persistent until the very day.

My mother considered gambling as playing with money. She sternly reminded us not to gamble. When I was in college, there was a hot debate within the church whether or not to accept donations coming from dirty sources such as gambling. And in Islam, gambling (maysir) is haram (forbidden). [1]

I have a friend whose father would not serve the family food bought using gambling money.

And just a few years ago, our Education Secretary shunned billions of state-funds because they are coming from gambling. She didn't think it moral and proper to buy books and even build classrooms using the dirty gambling money. [2]

What are your thoughts on these? Do you agree with it, or you consider these as old-fashioned views?

I remember my dad when brought me to a Casino in Cebu and all the winnings that we have are all accounted and never mixed with the regular money that we have. We bought food, we use it pay the hotel bill, buy some local items to bring home, but never put it together with the money that never came from gambling example put is inside the same wallet, my dad says its bad luck, literally its like dirty money, he set it aside from the clean ones.
503  Economy / Speculation / Re: Day Trading for a Living? on: September 18, 2019, 11:26:42 AM
I am not an expert trader. I keep track of my trades before in an excel sheet and I can say there really are days when trades are really bad that you just want to sell even at loss or just hold for a long time until the price comes back to where you wan’t it to be until I realized aiming for a lower profit daily will keep you away from losing money.

Before, I set a target of 5% then sell but when the price hits 5%, oh hold on let’s wait till it reaches 8%, then hey wait a minute, maybe 10% is not bad until all of a sudden, shtf and price dropped and are caught off guard, it’s either you sell at loss or hold and shift to long term holding.

Nowadays, I set a target of 2.5% then sell, I don’t care if price will go beyond 2.5%, i’ll collect my profits and move on to the next day, new trading day, new coin to buy.
504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tricks and tips for esports betting on: September 18, 2019, 11:00:23 AM
Okay, but how do you know exactly how each player's dispositions work? You can know a few players very well, two teams to see what's going on but not more. Unless you believe in everything that is written in the news.
Of course you don’t believe in everything that is written in the news, some of them are even paid to commend a player or a team, but what we can do is gather the news available and compare what they are saying about the player or the team. If let’s say 5 news agency with 5 different writers are all giving good feedback about a team then maybe they are a good team to pick, but still check the background of those writers as well.
505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Cock Fighting on: September 18, 2019, 09:58:45 AM
Lol, it's online for bettors only mate while those owners of the cocks are still in the arena doing their thing, preparing the cock for the fight. Owners of the cock and even owners of the arena where the cockfight is being held does not even know that they are "live" online.

Owner the website that caters online cockfight betting just set-up their cameras/gadgets on the arena far from the birds and people as not to destruct them, from what i heard they just pay the owner of the arena just to cover the cockfighting live for their business.
Works like OTB or Off Track Betting for horse racing but this Online Cock Fighting is not regulated unlike OTB it is somewhat regulated if I am not mistaken and works under Philippine Racing Club. If there is a cock fighting regulating body in the Philippines, they should regulate this one or else this kind of business will start to boom like those illegal video karera.
506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: September 18, 2019, 01:09:39 AM
Is a Mayweather vs. Pacquiao exhibition match in Japan actually possible?

Floyd Mayweather came out over the weekend claiming he was working on a rematch with Manny Pacquiao. But is it all just smoke and mirrors?

https://www.mmamania.com/2019/9/15/20867779/is-a-mayweather-vs-pacquiao-exhibition-match-in-japan-actually-possible
I don’t think this exhibition game will be happening because Manny Pacquiao claims to be wanting the fight as a real fight and not this 5 round exhibition game

Last night in all media outlet in Philippines the Fighting Senator stands strong and asking Mayweather’s arrangement to be a real fight and a “Round2” of their fight

Pacquiao says that the exhibition game will only “Fool” viewers and fans as this is not a fight thy wanted to see.

I’m looking positive that this is just a media Noise so people will be interesting more for their matches awaited Fight for the second time.
I guess the reason why Floyd Mayweather doesn't wan't to take a full 12 round fight and just an exhibition match because with an exhibition, regardless of the outcome, his record will remain zero loss and he will still earn money. With that in mind, does this mean Floyd Mayweather is now afraid of Senator Manny Pacquiaos capability even at the age of 40? With the 50 record of Floyd Mayweather, there's only 2 boxers whom he gave a second chance to fight him and those are Jose Luis Castillo where both fights happened last 2002 and Marcos Maidana on 2014.

508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most of gamblers are rich or poor? on: September 17, 2019, 11:59:20 PM
I guess the most or majority of gamblers are poor. Some tried to gamble because they thought this will help them get rich quickly, just look at those who fall in line to buy tickets to lottery, that’s considered gambling right? Have you seen anyone who bought a lottery ticket driving a Mercedes Benz?
509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what way bitcoin gets increased usage? on: September 17, 2019, 11:50:49 PM
I guess one of the best way to increase usage of Bitcoin is to make people use it as a payment option and I hope there will be a site that will offer exclusive discounts and promotions for those who will pay using Bitcoin. Maybe a store or a mall that accepts Bitcoin only or an in demand product that can be bought using Bitcoin.
510  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want to know your opinion :) on: September 17, 2019, 11:43:15 PM
I saw the topic of this project and here is their site https://whitebit.com, has someone already used it? can I trade there, I see what you think?
Give it more time before you use that site. Wait for more feed back and reviews. It’s just odd that the domain name has been registered since 2008 and yet this is the first time I heard of this exchange site. Maybe they just bought the domain name from someone who registered it but did know what to do with it yet.
511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: China Urges Philippines to Ban All Online Gambling! on: September 17, 2019, 07:24:50 AM
Maybe the Government is not looking at the Ban in China but looking at the opportunities that this could bring to the Philippines. According to a news report by CNN, the salaries paid to POGO employees are now higher than those who are in BPO's other wise known as call center agents. Also demand for office space also increased specially in Metro Manila area and Metro Cebu.
512  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: i failed in day trading on: September 15, 2019, 11:54:46 PM
i have learn technical analysis and practicing it for many months now i am good at it , but when it comes to day trading stocks move as market moves if markets go up stocks go up and if market falls stocks fall where does technical analysis , how to do day trading
Don’t compare cryptocurrency and stocks, the markets on both have different behavior, in stock market, it moves when a positive news or negative news was published, unlike in cryptocurrency, a lot of positive news has been published but price don’t move a bit. Try using Bolinger bands if you are a day trader.
513  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you trade? At the exchange? Platform? Bots? on: September 14, 2019, 02:50:35 PM
Dont be surprised if those who posts here are not really traders but just posers who pretends that they are really traders. Some will just post here for the signature that they are wearing but ask them technical questions about trading, they have no knowledge, just the basics. I am not an expert in trading, but I am the type of guy who is willing to learn and spend money to learn and earn.
514  Economy / Gambling / Re: 💰TrustDice - USDT and BTC gambling 💰Free bitcoin giveaway in our Forum 💰 on: September 14, 2019, 02:39:17 PM
I wonder how many members are there on their official forum. If the number of active members on the official forum is still low then I think it will be more effective if they held the giveaway on bitcointalk. Once much more people noticed about the official trustdice forum because of the giveaway they held on bitcointalk then they can move the giveaway to the official forum.
Looking at the number of participant on most of their giveaways/challenges, it seems that the number of active member is still low. Although it can be an advantage for the participant because they may earn bigger amount but the more participants is better for the site as it means more wager there.
Players go to dice sites to play and not to go to forums and discuss. Forums are great tool to provide updates or exclusive updates to their members but site owners do not expect that much traffic there, it’s just a plus if they also have a huge traffic in their official forum.
515  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: tell us 3 mistakes you do when you start trading on: September 14, 2019, 02:16:53 PM
1. I signed up to a pump and dump group, it’s a signal group that I have to pay for a fee and I will receive signals from them what coin to buy and when to sell. It’s not a good idea because they will send you signals that are late and they already bought before you buy yours.

2. Listen to random advise from people I thought are experts in trading. No one is an expert that’s what I learned, they may have earned something from their last trade but it doesn’t mean they always earn in every trade.

3. Buy without looking at the charts, graphs and just rely on emotions. It’s a bad idea.
516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling habits that will cost you on: September 13, 2019, 03:45:45 AM
Maybe we should add, don't look at others winnings. When we see someone who won big example in Poker, we try to play poker as well thinking that we can also do it or replicate what others can do, what we forget is that it takes a lot of time before they can master or get the skills in playing poker and use a strategy or technique. Also, using the strategy that others are using as well. If it worked for them, it doesn't mean it will also work for you.
517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AMA (Ask Me Anything): The current state of Bitcoin in the Philippines 🇵🇭 on: September 13, 2019, 03:20:13 AM
Sure, but the demographic of filipinos that actually know what bitcoin is and is promoting bitcoin in a non-scammy way is very very small. I'd argue that the decently knowledgeable people is even lower than 5% of the bitcoin "enthusiasts" in the Philippines.
The group from Binance Filipino has been going around the Philippines, I haven't attended any of their events yet but its a good way of introducing to the people what Bitcoin or Crytocurrency is all about. This September 21 they are going to Ilocos at Hotel Luna Vigan City. September 28 they are going to Davao at Go Hotels in Lanang. At least this group is not focused in the National Capital Region which is Metro Manila area.
518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the difference between binary option and gambling? on: September 13, 2019, 12:00:01 AM
Both requires analysis if you are into sports betting since you have to check the records of the team if its basketball, or the boxer or mma fighter, you don't just place your bet based on wild guess, you will loose your money. Same with Binary trading, also need to do your research if the price will indeed go Up or Down, its different from the usual trading where you can pick a coin and wait for a period of time and if you did not hit your target, you can still wait until you reach your goal. In Binary its different, you pick if it will increase or decrease on a period of time.
519  Economy / Speculation / Re: I bought a bitcoin today for 9K and sold when it hit 10K should I Of left it? on: September 12, 2019, 11:47:18 PM
Should I buy back in or do you guys think it might drop?

I’m more of a day trader so any advice would be hugely beneficial.

New to this but happy with making a grand.
Depends on your goal or target. Remember that when you buy Bitcoins its either you hold it for  a long period of time or you set a target of when you plan to sell it like sell it when you hit 10% profits or Sell it when you already earned $1,000 USD including fees. What you did is just fine, bought at low price of $9,000 and sold at $10,000.
520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AMA (Ask Me Anything): The current state of Bitcoin in the Philippines 🇵🇭 on: September 12, 2019, 11:32:30 PM
Unfortunately, Bitcoin here in the Philippines is known to be used in scams thanks to Mavrodis MMM scheme that scammed a lot of people in the province like in the Visayas and Mindanao Region. However, it is slowly being accepted as a good investment. Just like what happened to me last night at Starbucks when someone saw me browsing at my Binance dashboard, I think there we're 2 or 3 guys passed by who asked how Bitcoin is doing so far or if price of Bitcoin increased.
