501  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: October 14, 2013, 06:58:08 PM
Anyone know when refunds are going to be processed for anyone that requested one? I thought it was supposed to be the middle of October.

Burnin should not pay any refunds before shipping all the remaining Bitburners.

Still waiting order #42x, Sebastians batches #2, #5 and #6.

Why do you say that? Not disputing it, but can't think of a reason why it would make any difference.

Hi O'rama, I know there are more pressing matters to be discussed, but do you happen to know when resellers who managed the 10 units are going to get their miners?

Also, do you know what is going on with the reseller portal?

From what I understand, as someone asked me this at the conference, or words about; basically you get your miner at the point at which your 10th miner sale ships un-refunded. So if you sold 10 Jupiters in the October batch, you get your miner at the point at which the 10th Jupiter is sent. So in essence it is part of the October shipment. If your tenth is a November sale, then you get yours at such point your 10th sale leaves for shipment.

For sure though you have to sell 10 of any one type, so 10 Jupiters= 1 Jupiter free, 10 Saturns = 1 Saturn, 10 Mercuries etc. It's not a combo of 10 various types.

I don't think anyone managed to sell 10 boxes for an October shipment, other than that that bought 10+, and that's not many.

I'm no expert on this though, as I haven't been part of the affiliate thing, even though i've probably helped shift a few, or most. Sad

Thanks for the update, I would be surprised if anyone had managed to achieve 10 in the Oct shipment, I am not at 10 of any 1 unit by the way, not even close! The only person I know who has sold 10 is Bargraphics.

Thanks Burnin, I understand that companies only exist to make money, but the difference between your estimations and the actual price is massive!
509  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Poll] Burnins BitFury miner on: September 15, 2013, 07:07:07 PM
Far too expensive, I even considered it with the discount amount from my old Bitburners but will now be changing my choice to "refund"

Think I would rather save my BTC up for a few months then buy at this price.

€470 was such a good price, shame that we got our hopes up!

Think I have completely messed up my order (#104) now.

"This invoice expired before it was fully paid."

I must have typed in the information wrong or something.

Anyone know how long it takes to get a refund from Bitpay?

How long does it take to get my refund code so i can purchase at the discounted rate?

The wordpress is there for logging in: https://www.asic-hardware.com/my-account/ so shouldn't be too long now!

I got a refund rejected message today. Better than NO message though, so maybe this is progress? Refund request resubmitted... I guess we'll maybe hear back from 'Steamer in another week or two?  Roll Eyes

It better damn well NOT be a week before the next update. Frankly, enough issues have been brought up at this point to warrant another response.

I feel like part of the problem is that SB is apparently getting someone to essentially write "press releases" for him rather than just dealing with issues as they arose like he did at first.

We're almost through this shit. Can we PLEASE just have some forum involvement from you for these last few days, Mr. Steamboat?  PLEASE? Thank you in advance.

Agreed, there are a lot of other options now appearing that I want to spend my refunds on!

Any plans to offer an affiliate or reseller scheme?
516  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: September 13, 2013, 11:16:15 AM
•   50% refund of your entire order

Is this fix? No chance of getting the mentioned 70% later on when doing a refund?

The refunds will be processed half October. Burnin will decide than if more than 50% can be refunded.

When will we be able to add information about how we would like to proceed with our orders?
517  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASIC Chips (SebastianJu) Batch 6 ordered (Closed) on: September 11, 2013, 06:33:26 PM
Sebastian, could you please tell them we don't want a refund for batch 1, so it can move from "prepare shipping" to *finally shipping* please Smiley

Wink

I got an email from avalon with this message: Please pay attention, your order will be sent in 12 hours.
12小时以后发货

Does this mean Batch 6 also? (If so I need to place an order with Burnin or get my hands on 2X 20 chip rigs.)

Thx,
IAS

I have 2 on order with Burnin, you could have those?
518  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: September 11, 2013, 03:59:59 PM
I'm going to go with Option 1./ I have 2 boards on order, so amalgamating 70% of the value of both of these and adding some of the BTC from my chip refunds should get me something pretty good.

Not optimistic about the 5GH/s a chip, but we'll see..

Looking forward to seeing the new site live
519  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: September 11, 2013, 05:33:07 AM
Just got this

"Dear valued customers,

There has been very little communication from me over the last few days, because the development
of the BitFury boards takes up all of my time.
I had to prioritize this over refund processing, because the Bitfury chips are expected to be delivered soon.

Now to the important part:
My new main distributor is CryptX aka asic-chips.com.
Their new site for complete hardware sales will be www.asic-hardware.com.
We have agreed that they will take over my end-user sales.
CryptX will also take over the refund processing and automate it.
I will transfer the orders that have not been completed or refunded yet and my customer database to them.
After transfer of the database you can log on to their site and you will have three options:
1. You convert existing orders that have not been refunded yet to Bitfury product orders.
The 70% partial refund will be deducted from your final order price.
2. You choose to get the 50%, later hopefully 70% partial refund.
3. Keep your order.

If you have any objection to the transfer of your information to CryptX, please
let me know by sending an email with the subject line:
'Opt out of database transfer'
You have 24 hours before the transfer, requests received later will be deleted on their side.

Cheers
Martin

And no info about shipping of the 400,000 chips they just got...nice

Why can't I shake this sick feeling in my stomach that the line about 400,000 chips was just another steaming pile of bullshit ?

We did mention in the last email they were already in hand, are being sent out. this email is just to address those people who still wish to get refunds even if their order is "prepare-shipping".

Any word on gen 2 chip specs so people can begin to work out what to do with their refunded BTC?
