Hi, I am interested, how can I buy some?

Are you interested in stock or pre-order?

Do you have a website?
502  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Network Hashrate Growing at .05% per day!!! 5k s9's on: December 28, 2017, 03:54:04 PM
I'm new here so take it for what it's worth, but my December batch S9 was as clean as a whistle and looked brand new. My January batch will be here tomorrow (go figure) so I'll report on that one. But I would offer up that the theory of Bitmain selling used units is pure conjecture. Just my observation and opinion Smiley

503  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolinminer & Whatsminer FAQs on: December 28, 2017, 07:30:34 AM
Nope. No Luck. Got two in my cart then said out of stock when the cart loaded.

Check again (keep reloading the cart). They came back in stock and I was able to check out.

Same, although after thinking about the amperage of my PDU circuit I might have to sell one Sad

But it's such a fun story to tell Smiley
505  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: s7 problem - one board showing very low temp PLEASE HELP on: December 28, 2017, 06:38:42 AM
Hi guys, i'm new to mining and just hooked up a used s7 today.  When i check the antminer status page, it shows 2 boards with normal temps of around 60 deg. but board #1 shows very low temps of around 15 deg.  I've tried to do a factory restore and it didn't help.  Asic status shows all zero's, no x's or missing values.  Only hashing around 3th/s.  Bad board?

Can someone point me in the right direction?  Thanks for your help!

A while back I picked up an S7 off Ebay. It appeared in really good condition so I put it straight to work without a thought. But every so often, about once a day, it would do like you describe. One board would stop hashing, no errors that I could see other than low temp. Since it was old and out of warranty I pulled the fan screws and then the other 4 screws that retain the end cap which in turn retains the hash boards. With that off and all cables disconnected (power and controller connectors), I slid each hash board out for inspection. I honestly wish I had taken a picture, but on one of the boards there was a giant moth partially against the heat sink and PCB. I don't know if he was grounding something out or just overheating one chip, but after his removal it's been working away for roughly 9 days now and no issues.

Long way of saying, probably best to remove the hash boards and inspect them for dirt, debris, or damage.
506  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What is the average lifespan of an Antminer S9 on: December 28, 2017, 04:03:30 AM
Some break fast some don't

If I had 20 machines coming .

I would not sell  a single one on ebay.

I would sell them in the marketplace here.

I would sell 10 of them .

If I paid  1415 plus shipping I would sell the 10  at  2800 to 3200 each.

I would use a trusted escrow.

I would mine with the other ten.

I am not plugging my self as escrow , but I do escrow.

I apologize for the unsolicited PM, I found the correct thread. Thanks!
507  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BLOKFORGE- Official Canaan Distributor on: December 28, 2017, 03:44:11 AM
We will try something a bit diff on the A8 first batch.....

First 10 we will announce the sale date and time on forum, and post link on the forum.  Rest will go as the last batch did.  It will be a very small batch again, less than 100.

Possibly a higher price with rebate for a thought out product review, not much, but something to make worth someones time to do it.  Resellers will not usually have means to do a review for the rebate, miners will.

Possibly a lotto for one unit, the first unit, possibly PM us numbers 1-100, pick number on livestream.

We will decide final path in about a week.

Definitely a big kudos to you guys for listening!

They just posted on Twitter, all sold out.

On edit: Tweet deleted... Damn should have screenshotted it.
509  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Next batch from Bitmain Feb/March. Will it actually ship then? on: December 26, 2017, 10:25:33 PM
Preordering through a seller means you get no warranty. Good luck with that.

P.S. My end of January batch shipped today so you never know when they will be arriving.

Yeah, personally I would steer clear of a 3rd party pre-selling a pre-sale. Just wait for Bitmain or one of the other "vetted" companies listed here.

My January batch Bitmain order shipped early as well. I should have it in a few days, the PSUs got here last week Smiley
510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: L3+ Antminer - Safe way to power down? How often does the miner need to rest? on: December 26, 2017, 09:55:09 PM
Rest would assume it get's tired Smiley Sorry couldn't resist. Like mentioned simply unplugging them is fine, the only reason I would power mine down would be for maintenance or cleaning. Otherwise you're losing money.
511  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin Mining farm with USD 50000 on: December 26, 2017, 06:17:44 AM
Just be sure to compare the data center overhead to what you might pay locally. I'd rather have my 50k close to me and make less profit than to have it 1/2 way around the world Smiley
512  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin Mining farm with USD 50000 on: December 26, 2017, 06:11:43 AM
So you really think you're going to stand up a facility and not have to do anything to *any* of the equipment for 6 months? Remember there's more to it than miners. There's everything from ac units, fans, network gear, PDUs, patch cables, the physical building itself, security, wiring, etc, etc.

I'm sorry you're not being realistic, but I wish you the best of luck!
513  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin Mining farm with USD 50000 on: December 26, 2017, 06:03:10 AM
Right, but you have to figure this kind of stuff in to your business plan. So if you have a failed component or have to do simple maintenance how fast can you fix it and how expensive will it be to travel? Nothing ever fails in convenient schedules. I am just trying to say you have to monetize every single aspect, because it might simply be cheaper to mine where you are if you have to take travel in to account.
514  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin Mining farm with USD 50000 on: December 26, 2017, 05:40:41 AM
I'd still like to know how you plan on managing this remotely. Or (like I was asking earlier) are you going to relocate? I mean yes, the miners are fairly self sufficient, but what about the mundane things like changing air filters or swapping out a bad patch cable? What if you have to hard reset a miner?

515  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitmain Doubles Price for S9 on: December 24, 2017, 05:53:11 AM
Do you really believe a few people swapping to BCH to buy a miner affects the exchange rate? Come on, it was a new shiny alt coin, on the #1 noob exchange, cheaper than BTC, and pumped by Roger and company.

I'm not dumb, I know Bitmain is a big backer of BCH, but that theory is far from reality...
516  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin Mining farm with USD 50000 on: December 20, 2017, 07:36:49 AM
I'm curious which country you are in. I mean let's say you find a low elec rate and cool temperatures in Iceland. Are you going to move there? Or are you going to pay someone to maintain your hardware? Are you going to compare real estate prices?

I say all of that to illustrate that if you truly have $50,000.00 USD to invest you should look locally, not try to farm it all out long distance. What's your elec rate locally? What is the sq/ft rental price of industrial warehouse space? What are your internet connection costs?

I'll give an example. I want to expand my mining, I found a 20'x50' warehouse grade site for $5.00 sq/ft/yr with a 200 amp service panel. I will need to invest in HVAC (cooling and exhaust), internet connectivity, wiring, security, etc. I am located in the SW United States. So for me electricity is cheap, but I have to deal with very hot summers so cooling will cost quite a bit. The site is only 6 miles from my house, that way **I** can maintain it. Paying someone else's salary will eat away at your profits.

I have not provided you with a solution, but hopefully it gives you some things to think about.
