Morocco were not terrible in the first half, it was just a slight defensive error that led to the early goal that forced them to change their playing style. If you noticed in the game they had more possession than France which is not their normal style and France were more on the defensive but looked more dangerous anytime they attacked. Morocco were able to create enough chances that would have gotten them the equaliser and even win them the game but the noticeably, they do not have a good finisher. There was this very clear chance at goal that Morocco had just before France doubled their lead,  but the Moroccan player was sluggishly dribbling and trying to work the ball into the net instead of taking a quick snapshot like Mbappe does. Morocco played well but they were not deadly in attack, France played well too, their defence was not so perfect but they were more deadly anytime they attacked.

Throughout the tournament, Morocco's defense turned out to be almost unbeatable. There is a clear tendency that Argentina will do everything possible to register an early goal, seeing that Brazil was out of the win because their best wasn't good enough to afford them an early goal.
