Don't send anything to Vircurex unless you want to lose your coins.
502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you have a feeling BTC has slowed down a bit? on: April 07, 2015, 03:36:16 AM
It has slowed down all right.

Well, then I think we have a major issue cause the number of scammers will be growing and the number of honest people will be reducing. This is exactly what s going on right now.

This quote from crazyivan explains one of the major reasons why. Anyone who gets fleeced on a scam or theft leaves the scene and does not go around promoting the virtues of btc afterwards.

New series The Returned, any thoughts on that?

It seems ok so far.
504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The ICO/Pre-sale/crowd funding "Marketing Scam" on: April 04, 2015, 05:33:05 PM
Now the things are changed, the ico/ipo/iso "era" is passed. In these years it has been a lot of scam, and I personally don't trust an altcoin ico anymore (that's insane).

Good thread!

It is too bad scams have to ruin everything. While I do think there are worthwhile projects out there; its too risky to invest.

Even worthwhile projects often go nowhere. Look at the money Ethereum brought in via ICO. What have they produced?

ICO is free money. Why bust your ass if you managed to pull in hundreds of thousands of dollars with little or no effort? Millions of dollars in Ethereum's case.

People got to quit throwing their money away on "the next big thing".

The cryptocurrency bubble has passed. Invest in established and proven projects and hope for better days.

I was a part of Mintcoin from launch. What nice feeling seeing the donation of Mintcoin on the Linux Mint OS. Glanced through and noticed most big exchanges have dropped mint. Nice to see still around. Figured I'd show Linux Mint is somewhat promoting MINT as a crypto donation.

Thanks for pointing that out. I've used Mint Linux for years. Nice to see them using Mintcoin!! I got to send them some of my newly minted coins.

I just use the already compiled wallet offered for buntu 64 bit. I don't have any issues.
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Factom, are you going to buy it? on: April 02, 2015, 04:48:31 PM
Say NO to ICO.

Money thrown away on ICOs is killing cryptocurrencies. 99% of them turn out to be scams or die off before they ever do anything.

What ever happened to merge mining with that other Lyra2 coin ?

Merge mining is another crypto fad that seems to have run its course.
509  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners Paybase Paycoin unofficial uncensored discussion.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 01, 2015, 04:49:42 PM
This just in: H. Joshua Garza rolls out the $20 per XPY buyback "Honors Program" with the first month paying out over $1,000,000! Better snap up some XPY quick, before the mad rush to cash in.Now I see what that last big purchase was all about, some insiders got this information before everyone else. I guess the PayFaithful were right all along!

Josh pulls it off! Unreal! First Josh pulls Paybase out of the woodchipper, and now makes good on the $20 XPY Buyback? WTF? Damn, this Crow I am eating tastes awful! I am so embarrassed.  Embarrassed

Xcellent!! You are priceless PR.

Just minted $35 dividend this month   Grin

Mint holders laugh all the way to the bank. Nice dividend/bonus/interest every month with no energy sucking mining.
It is so sweet to see those minted coins come rolling in by simply leaving the wallet open.
Mint is the only long hold coin I have made money on.

If you have any questions, there are loads of people who will gladly help.

Okay then!

What's the highest & lowest satoshi price MINTcoin has seen in 2015?

Thanks!

.00000001 to .00000022

It is pretty sweet selling some of those minted coins off at 22 satoshis. This is the beauty of Mint and what makes it worth holding.

Watched three episodes of "Last Man on Earth". Quirky comedy. Not bad. They just threw another wrench into the show that will make it interesting.

Authorities won't say why they asked him to unlock his phone, but I can't think of an instance where that level of intrusion is warranted. Even if "sex offender" was added to his ID as you suggest, that doesn't justify demanding access to your phone upon return to the country.

Believe me. I'm on his side. I'm just saying there must have been something that drew notice from the border agent. If there is the slightest chance of finding child porn on someone's phone the border agents are going to go for it.

Will they continue working on it after they finish spending the IPO money? There is only 4000 Bitcoins left from the 31000 coin IPO.

Excellent question. Possible answer could be:

"Dear suckers investors; we have made giant strides in producing the Etherium platform and features(all we really did was eat pizza, drink beer, and play video games). Unfortunately, we have depleted our funds(not really. Bahamas are nice this time of year). Please remember our disclaimer:

"Risk that the Ethereum Platform May Never be Completed or Released
Purchaser understands, that while the Ethereum Team will make reasonable efforts to complete the Ethereum software, it is possible that an official completed version of the Ethereum Platform may not be released and there may never be an operational Ethereum Platform."

We sadly close our doors(got a plane to catch ... bye). Thanks for your support suckers."

Who knows if they will produce anything?

Why do anything for 5 million bucks when you told everyone upfront nothing may be produced? I cannot believe people bought into this.

518  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do people think fat asses are attractive? on: March 15, 2015, 08:48:53 PM
Kim's ass is wayyy too big. Wait till she ages. Its gonna get ugly.

Jennifer Lopez is another one who's ass is too big.

What happened to the days when the perfect dimensions for a woman was 36 -- 24 -- 36?
Mind you, 42 -- 24 -- 36 is better.

I don't think we are getting the full story here.

I agree. There was, most likely, a little red flag attached to his ID. Perhaps he was busted for smoking pot when he was 18. Perhaps he was caught "urinating in a public place" at one time and charged. This might add "sex offender" to his ID.

Another person I know tried to bring a car stereo across the border without declaring it. This act gave him the "little red flag".

One should be very careful of what they do in youth or suffer the consequences down the road.

Normally, I can get through an entire bad movie but not Cymbeline. Subtitles would make it bearable I suppose. I know the movie is based on a Shakespeare play but did they really have to have the dialog. Disaster.
