502  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: HKCEx breaks the market. 8.88% bonus on deposit, high rates and more! on: May 15, 2014, 06:27:13 PM
I've made a deposit of 1000 LTC and have 1088.8 LTC on my account already.
That's a good promo, I think
To test the water, I deposited 0.6 ltc then requested withdrawal of 0.6 + bonus amount ltc right after deposit, it's still pending approval after 12hrs, either there's a bug in the system or they hold the withdrawal. I tried to withdraw 0.5 ltc hrs later the first attempt, still displaying pending approval.
Two brand new accounts.

The shilling is strong with this one.

Get in your car, drive to facility, take photos of facilities. Make yourself in one of the photos and include a heavily watermarked (black out un-necessary details) of your passport/dl as well as some sort of contract for the lease and people may take this seriously.

I'm Back from facility and now see your post!
I'v got some pics from there and will update soon.
I hope people take this serious.
Do as I said and people will take you seriously.

Otherwise you are just another person waiting to screw everyone over.
Sorry I don't get exactly what you are saying.
See I don't want to open my exact name, my face and factory location and ..., So what you suggest?
I will do it!
You're essentially talking about hosting peoples hardware. They need to know name and face. Factory location does not need to be revealed however (and shouldn't be, for security reasons)

505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's to be done when a huge quantity of bitcoins is stolen?(+1% of world btc) on: May 15, 2014, 01:26:28 PM
If they are running their exchange properly, they won't allow their coins to be seized.

They would hopefully use a 2 of 3 system. If the government comes asking they will very quickly send out the coins to those they belong to.

507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WTF - Kiddy Porn in the Blockchain for life? on: May 15, 2014, 12:59:32 AM
The blockchain doesn't store links or text it only stores address and stuff.  So unless they had bitcoin-qt used on an IP address of a illegal website I can't see how it can be in the blockchain.  Then all it means is an IP address has been saved.  IP addresses aren't created for any website in particular.

Oh dear lord.

This is a reminder why being a 'Hero' member means little more than a lot of posts.

IP addresses are not stored in the blockchain. However there are several places in a transaction you can put text, some of them making it unspendable but that is not the point.

Hell, the first transaction made by Satoshi was a newspaper headline.
508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fate of those who challenge world's reserve currency! on: May 14, 2014, 07:53:21 PM
The Worlds reserve currency as we know is the United States Dollar..

Before 4 years there was a story that Libya's General Gadhafi had planned to switch to Gold backed dinars for oil business instead of USD which was welcomed among many arab countries, That move had devastating effect on US dollar as a world reserve currency...Then the Arab spring happened and we  watched how Ghadafi was killed like a street dog..

That story is really terrorizing when one begins to think from the point of view of fate of those who challenge worlds reserve currency.

But bitcoin has a potential to do exactly that...Imagine what will happen if bitcoin is used as the reserve currency of transaction for oil and gas.

What will happen?

Neither Bitcoin nor any other crypto currency has such potential.

What they do have is the possiblity of offering an essentially underground currency traded between users.

The possibilities are far larger than that.

519  Economy / Auctions / Re: Auctioning Primedice.info on: May 13, 2014, 11:37:35 PM
Seems immoral to me the very idea of you selling primedice.info

I am selling pd.info hoping that no one will try to make a clone of pd itself.

Prediction: PrimeDice clone with paid for advertising on Google.
520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Third party retailer for exchanges on: May 13, 2014, 11:32:30 PM
When "exchanges" or places where you can buy bitcoins for fiat currency actually make that trade - where are the bitcoins coming from? From what I understand many exchanges use a third party retailer to supply the bitcoins to the end-customer, meaning that companies such as Coinbase, Safello, bitstamp and so on buy their bitcoins from another company which then is traded for fiat.

Is that normally how the setup is like?

Who are these third party bitcoin retailers? Does anybody know?

CoinBase should not be classified as a Bitcoin exchange. It is more of a Bitcoin shop who buys/sells their coins at exchanges too. Bitstamp, BTC-e or LocalBitcoins are exchanges where people like U & me can buy/sell coins. The first 2 are real time exchange where deposit/withdraw take a lot of time. The third one is a P2P exchange where buying & selling is almost instantaneous.

This. Everyone claims Coinbase is an exchange, but they aren't. They simply use third parties for their coin purchases and sales. As far as I'm aware, they do it through Bitstamp (who I think is also who Bitpay goes through?).
Incorrect on both counts. Sort of.

Bitpay uses an enterprise exchange which provides huge amounts of liquidity and spreads over several markets (I have forgotten the name, sorry). And I think coinbase does too, although I think they both also use a few other exchanges (possibly including bitstamp)
