501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆 The Emirates FA Cup - Season 2023/2024 on: January 25, 2024, 11:12:10 PM
Dominant performance and easy 5:0 win for Bournemouth against Swansea today and they are going in next round!
The flood gates was left wide open. How Bournemouth just scored goals after goals in the first half, they literally ended the game from the first half. First was a cross resulting from a set piece and it was taken quite perfectly to produce the first goal. Before 15 minutes into the game, we are talking about 3 goals already.
It was surprising for me that after a goal scoring first half, although most of the first team players was rested to avoid injuries and prepare for other competitions, they just couldn’t manage to score a single goal in the second half!
I would like to see some of that performance in the premier league.
502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gamblers do retired betting gambles on: January 25, 2024, 11:00:23 PM
There is nothing wrong with gambling at a later age in life. Gambling offers different kind of relief if one can handle it and for someone at the age of 60 and above that is into gambling is probably sone who has gambled for a long time and knows the pros and cons to it.
There is a fear of hypertension but, these guys just get amused at most of the results. What’s there to worry about after enjoying a long life.

I think there isn’t really an age limit for this activity or retirement as a whole. Having an age limit attached to it would flaw the system. One should only stop gambling if one happens to lose so much, isn’t catching the fun in it and when an individual has gone above reason. These could be pointers that tells you when to quit or give it a break.
503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You will do in this situation? on: January 25, 2024, 10:49:14 PM
I rather have my peace than have to introduce anyone to an activity that could be addictive. Gambling is a very sensitive and risky business hence, having to teach one just another aspect to it that could possibly cause more losses is one thing that shouldn’t be done.
Who knows, he might just be good at the slot he plays and slots are played with very little funds. A few cent is enough to afford you few rounds but, that isn’t the case for sports betting. Sports betting have a more high stake for a limit compared to casino games.
In all, they both offer different advantages but, I have the feeling who ever is into some sports and gambles, will also be aware of the opportunities or markets to gambling that exists within the game.
504  Economy / Economics / Re: Reasons for personal financial accountability? on: January 24, 2024, 09:51:29 PM
You can almost always find a job, another question is what kind of work it will be, whether you are ready to do any work or not. And you should always have savings, in addition to your investments and everything else, you should have an untouchable reserve for different cases.
Having to always find a job is not often the case in many nations or should I say every nation. Else, why should we have refugees and homeless people living out there on the street and in shelters when they could get proper jobs, fix and live their life. I get it that at times and for some persons, they are not just in for work or having a job but, one cannot always find jobs out there waiting. That’s why, it’s ideal that for the most that could, they groom themselves to be entrepreneurs and actually provide some of these jobs.

If we look at finding a job in the context of just anything out there with a pay or salary, then we just might find people working and not being able to make anything of their lives. Those aren’t jobs, a work that doesn’t allow you to even afford yourself some basic necessities to life isn’t a job. You ought to work, earn and have some funds set aside from your earnings.
505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a social or casual good guesser make better gambling prediction carrier? on: January 24, 2024, 09:29:58 PM
This opted one of us to say to the champion that.... Oh wow, man, you are professional guesser. Maybe someone like you could be a professional gambling predictional.
When it comes to having such activities within yourselves, it’s much easier for one to come up with a close or some good guess because, without you having spilled out certain answers as you work, someone who knows you or is more closed to you might have discovered certain details about your person.
You can’t work with a total stranger right? Maybe you guys were once strangers but as time goes on, you get to bond in some way and get to know a little about yourselves. Social media could as well spill some details to your bio and family if you dwell in that space.
The knowledge of where you are in life as per status, age, when you got married and details like that could aid one to predict what could be based on what is expected.

Guessing in gambling, you might be lucky once or twice but having to build a career from such a field out of just guesses, you would lose more than you would think or imagine.
506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: January 24, 2024, 07:04:49 PM
Interesting time in Fantasy for all of us. Starting with a double in GW 25 and blank in 26 this is the part of the season where tactics and good decisions come to the fore. Take care to manage your chips as good as possible. free hit in GW 25 looks very nice if Salah is fit for those two games.
It’s a time where all I thought I now just cleared before my eyes that, I’ve got no tricks under my sleeves. This might as well be my lowest point for the season, below average, there isn’t a way I would have thought it possible but, it did hit me. So much for dependency and it took AFCON/Asian Cup to bring this to light. Biggest challenge ever, relying on the elite players and having to make the right choices in players I have just averaged.

This might just be the turning point for just anyone. So clueless but, hope to make positive changes to gain in on some of those points in the forth coming GW.
507  Economy / Reputation / Re: Farewell on: January 24, 2024, 05:18:56 PM
This is a pathetic post. I would delete it if I were you. This is just proving the kind of person you are. Someone is ill and you say you are happy. Good luck in your life...

Why should I excuse or forgive o_e_l_e_o's continuous attacks on Bitcoin just because he's mortal?
I’ve been going over every line in your OP, quote and all but yet, I still can’t wrap my head at the character you seem to portray here. I remain in some disbelief as to how inhuman you chose to portray yourself over the hurt to a family, forum and people in the life of one who would be seen for an icon/idol to many over some claims. Like, this unique personality’s demise doesn’t mean nothing to you… am disgusted and you don’t act like one that should belong with any community.

Without giving away too much personal info, I have a chronic disease. I've had this disease for a decade and have had a lot of treatment for it, but it is winning. I likely only have a few months left. And so, I bid you all farewell. I'll be spending as much of my remaining time as possible with my family. In a week or so, once this thread has run its course, I'll ask theymos to lock this account.

I have learnt a lot from many of you, and I hope many of you have learnt something from me. Although we will never meet, I would have loved to share a beer with many of you, and I hope you'll remember me fondly.

Leo
Oh Leo! I am only seeing this just now after making some references and it greatly saddens my heart to be hearing this of you and from you. It wouldn’t have been so hurtful hearing this for a reported speech even though I don’t wish this upon you ever. The thought of not being able to help yourself in this situation is just so hurtful to try and comprehend or accept.
I still recall you from my earliest days on the forum and the way I do pronounce your user quite uniquely. Now knowing that you would be living not to be seen again, is just something so bitter to my taste and knowledge. When you did said it’s been winning is where you did let my emotions loosed. Still, hope having yo be with family and loved once’s could nurse you good and find you more time to be happy.
You would be missed!
508  Economy / Reputation / Re: What is going on??? on: January 24, 2024, 04:16:29 PM
I was perplexed based on how the OP has presented the case of no possible email or password change and yet, we have claims of user’s account making loan requests but having no idea of these actions been taken by whom is thought to be the owner of the account.

One of the possible interpretations would have been that these were accounts that have changed hands but it’s hardly the case as, these are well known reputable users that have built a name behind there accounts still. Also, these are accounts that spans through 2017 - date and there haven’t been any serious attacks on the forum that I know of that could have result in account compromise. Hence, it’s easy to rule that off.

The possibility of a friend or siblings, I don’t know but, it’s hard to have this sort of fowl play.

Teleporting an account from Bitcointalk to Altcoinstalks, and using a same password. It breaks an important principle, don't reuse password on different platforms.
Quote
I recently teleported my account in altcoinstalks. I was required to put the same username there too. So I used the same password there as well.
No requirement to use the same password for the process!

I don't know it is a reason or just a fake one, used by the user to fool us but let's say, reuse password is bad practice.
This brings to light a security risk that might have been undermined on password and email usage on other platforms. It then means, you should identify risk when making associations on a testing platform and that which you have deemed important.

Like you’ve said @tranthidung, just maybe but,
This also brings to light a means to loan approval that could clear doubt which is, signing message from a current address and it becomes reassuring on whom.
509  Other / Meta / Re: Top reporters on: January 23, 2024, 10:31:15 PM
It’s just another nice piece of data that just might motivate just anyone and everyone to be on the look out for posts that might be in some way unfit would find it’s way to the moderators desk. It’s a nice one actually, really.

For my part, I would like to say thank you to the moderators, who process our reports very quickly. This is a massive job, as I see that everything is checked quite seriously, and only after that do we get our "good"
It is always pleasant to work in a well-coordinated team when you understand that you are not doing something in vain. Smiley
This data just shows what tons of work the moderators are been subjected to and how much they’ve got to read and not just the report but, maybe the OP, few comments and come to some judgement on how to treat the report and somehow, they’ve managed it great and timely too. So yeah, I tip my hat to them and the lots of users that do their bit in ensuring quality contents on the forum.

My name is Humayun.  I live in Enayetpur.  I have four members in my family.  I am my sister my father and my mother.  I am struggling to buy a phone.  I found this link very hard.  I would love to work on it.  Someone teach me, I am a very poor boy.  It would be very beneficial for me to do so.  I am studying in Class Nine now I am in Ten. I know a lot about Bitcoin.
I don't know how this might sound to you but, I'm hoping you don't take it out of context but, you don't have a need to give us your whole family history or profile, neither is anyone in the forum interested in knowing your name and other biodata. If you know a little of the Bitcoin innovation,  you would understand that,it priorities security in anonymity. Don't take that from you, not even for the sake of seeking out the conscience and sympathy of forum users, you might not find it. Just be ready to read a lot and should a device be a huge challenge, you could do petty jobs go generate the necessary funds a d get yourself at least a 3gram device of about $50 to access the forum with until you ready to go sophisticated.

Still, your welcome to the forum, know its rules, be free to express yourself as well as being open to new ideas.

Your last statement says,  "you know Bitcoin". Is that accurate or perhaps some typos... Nice having you either ways and be ready for an upgrade.
511  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your advised for being a trader? on: January 23, 2024, 07:47:51 PM

There is no means to making money that is exactly without risk. Any means to earning while also as a means to loss when not carefully done. Trading happens to be a way to earn quick money using your skills and knowledge of the market but, make any mistake and it could such in all your capital in a goal. For one to have any chance at doing better in trading, you need to be very much detected from your trades and have a very high level of discipline to be able to follow up on the principles you create in course of your trading/experience with the market.

It's not often about having a huge capital. Although that could push for quick achievement of your trading goals, be it long or short term but still, tye risk factor is inevitable.
When it comes to not having enough capital, the ETF programs are up to substitute for that.

It's left for you to have a well grounded skill on how to analyse and trade the market. Don't just trade, be sure to have an indicator either as a tool or an analytical pointer that determines your entry and exit point. It's one way to ensure you ain't gambling the trade and you have a plan for your trading.
512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 21, 2024, 10:25:03 PM

They are not on top of the League by mistake though Real Madrid won't let go off easily, especially after dropping out of the Copa del Rey. The response to the Sevilla goal was very impressive from them and showed true determination.
Laliga has been on fire in todays match day live. Lots and lots of goals in the game and teams coming up with impressive performance. First we had Real Madrid do just what we know them to do best and the next game against Real Betis and Barcelona came with so much energy. Where Real Betis in Isco just wouldn’t let Barcelona have the best of the game, he came back every time to equalize but, the determination of Barcelona still ensured they converted in the last minutes that mattered in the game to get all 3 points.

With Girona being well aware of these results, you just know they are in this game with Sevilla to convert and win all 3 points. I feel the Sevilla first goal was over celebrated because afterwards, what followed up was an out pouring of goals and a hat trick in 6 minutes, that’s just amazing and it tells a lot about what quality Girona has come be.
513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 21, 2024, 06:54:23 PM
Bournemouth is getting hot right now. They started the game with so much energy believing they would het a draw at the end of the game or luckily win the match. Well, Liverpool have kill their hopes. Leading with 3 goals in the match and 5 points clear at the top of the Premier League table. However, Bournemouth shouldn't feel bad about the outcome of the match because the played very well just that they are no match for Liverpool. If Liverpool will maintain consistency on thier performance they might end up wining the EPL title.
The game is apparently over now and Liverpool managed to net 4goals before the final whistle. This is just more than  expected in this game and I don't know how Bournemouth turned out to be so sloppy in the second half. They comfortably held Liverpool to a draw in the first half, a goalless draw at that and then coming to the second half, they conceived 4 goals, 4 goals from a Liverpool side that we all felt couldn't come up with more than 2 goals. Well played Liverpool and Darwin Nunez was in so much form in this match.
Jota, Jota was just great and how could the Bournemouth defence have allowed him to get a second chance on goal within the box. That ought not to be but, the entire defence was so focused on his missed legs than the ball to have reacted quick and he was able to take a second shot and he sure didn't miss.
514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 21, 2024, 06:18:15 PM
That's crazy guys,  Cheesy Real Madrid have won the match even after two goals down, but Hala Madrid did one of the (el mejor regreso). The king of Europe is getting first place in La Liga and not letting anyone lead it. But anyway, I am very excited.
It was indeed a crazy game when you look at how badly Real Madrid performed in the first half, conceiving an early goal and later on, we had a roofer and Kepa could do almost nothing to keep it out. Still, Real Madrid isn’t a team that you just get to write off. The calmness of Ancelotti is always enough to tell you the game isn’t done until the final whistle goes and better still, they had over 45minutes to make some changes in the match and the changes surfaced early. After they had their first goal, they pressured for a second of which, J. Bellingham penalty and shortly after we had the Vini Jnr moment and at the last minute, Dani Carvajal crowned it up with a third. It was tight and Almeria felt they had gone away with a huge victory, sharing point with Real Madrid but it’s something the great whites weren’t going to allow.
515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 21, 2024, 05:55:38 PM
The penalty in the last minutes has been making westham feel so desperate about it. Im sure that many people who picked 1x2 westham won were almost feeling so happy but the referee was destroying their moments in a matter of seconds.  Roll Eyes
I clearly didn’t understand how that wasn’t a penalty because I feel it was obvious enough with Bowen being bundled to the ground but somehow, the referee and the VAR team didn’t deem it to have enough to be penalty worthy. West Ham United didn’t have a bad result anyway, having to share points with Sheffield United at their home but, it could have easily been a win.

It’s Bournemouth 0:1 Liverpool at the moment. I suspected Liverpool would have a hard time facing Bournemouth but they’ve somehow managed to handle it so well. Putting up most of the attacks and probably could have a second goal before Bournemouth could manage to score a goal but, Liverpool would have there 3 points.
516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 20, 2024, 03:35:34 PM
It’s just the kind of start Arteta and the rest of Arsenal fans around the world would have hoped for and it was delivered. I don’t know those that were expecting so much of Crystal Palace but the team happens to be lacking in a lot of quality due to the on going AFCON. Talking about the likes of Oliseh, J. Ayew and they aren’t having Doucoure, how would you expect them to make much contest with an Arsenal squad that isn’t much changed. Crystal Palace had a good start but, it wasn’t obvious that Arteta was just going to seat out and endure them for like 20minutes before bringing his game plan. Unfortunately for Crystal Palace, Arsenal didn’t need to wait that long. Gabriel had his goal and then, he was just on fire with the set pieces.
517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any fun in losing while gambling on: January 19, 2024, 11:51:32 PM
Over the time, I’ve seen several post, by users here who, claim that gambling is strictly for fun, even when one is making losses and I’ve paused to ask this question “Is there actually any fun in gambling especially when the losses are more than the winnings?”
There are instances where one might find fun even in a lost bet. Yeah, your money is gone but, you become proud still. It’s something that happens mainly in sports betting. As unusual as it may be, I’ll give you an instance.

Have you ever taken a bet against your team?
Most times, we tend to know these elite teams with less odds, often the favorites to win and when they are matched against a team which you fan but clearly, you don’t want your team to loss even though you acknowledge the superiority of the other team. You might be pushed to bet and bet on the favorite to win the game. Now, should your fanned team win, you loss on your bet but, your still half your team won. Should your team loss, you win your bet and somehow, be cool with what you’ve got.

There is fun in this still.
There might be other means to have fun but then, we wouldn’t dish gambling just because it has a possibility of loss.

Crystal palace might be an opportunity that Arsenal do not want this weekend. Crystal palace is not a team you want to play when you are struggling for form as a team because they are a tough crack, a quality team which can spring surprises to any team

Can Arsenal escape at home with all 3 points ?
I think Arsenal would escape with all 3 points in this round. They’ve had better rested players and would be ready to put in their most, Arteta would be bringing out some of his best tactics to ensure he keeps the edge his team has got in this era and in this time of the season where Manchester City would be on the move for openings to capitalize on.
Crystal Palace at the moment is a weak team, they wouldn’t do so much but, I’ll like to see them try and win over Arsenal tomorrow which I doubt, just hope they give me a good game and not have Arsenal run them over as that is the likely possibility. I’ll be betting Arsenal for a win.

Trump is a learned person even though, his always loud and sometimes act without considering what are the people’s perception or perspective to certain policies he hopes to implement but, being within the inner circle of the government, I suppose he knows better what could be about the CBDC creation so, I wouldn’t say.
CBDC came through as some means to combat cryptocurrency by using some crypto technology to redesign the functionality of fiat. Still, it remains centralized, I haven’t have the need to use it and just might not so, whatever the policy on it might be, I don’t care so much. I use fiat and cryptos just in a way that am at peace every time.

What would happen if all Bitcoin is mined and all Bitcoin is lost?
Sometimes, I don’t wish to venture into imagining the impossible because this my friend is an impossible.
All Bitcoin been mined and lost… just how would that come to be? Maybe you think the government would eventually becomes so obsessed with the conspiracy theory of having to buy all the Bitcoins little by little, store them all in a wallet and dish the private key or seed phrase to it…
Ain’t no way that would be happening.

If this be one means to satisfy your phobia on either Bitcoin would be around to serve as a currency of the future, well, no one could give you that assurance. Understand that it isn’t risk free, don’t be sacred to dive in with a plan and hope your ability to take calculated risk rewards you.
