501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in TRC20 tokens on: February 10, 2021, 09:45:13 PM
People invest in erc-20 tokens projects because they are popular and due to this factors, demand comes in and hence they easily makes profits. But TRC-20 tokens aren't that popular compare to Ethereum otherwise if you carefully obeserve and check them out (TRC-20 tokens), they are well structured fundamentally with real used case.
Another reason why I still thin people or developers don't like to host their token on Tron network is because they are simple to create and most investors are Defi users. The gaming platform always used Tron networks because of their gas fees.
I used TRC-USDT most of the time on Tron network because of the gas fees. Each of them with their pros and cons. Invest wisely.
502  Economy / Economics / Re: All world banks need bitcoin now big solution on: February 09, 2021, 10:14:55 PM
They need bitcoin to use it reseve asset.
So if. China bank needs eur currency they dont need direct buying or exchanging china fiat to eur or find correspondent intermediary bank to do transactions.

They can do the transactions with btc or eth works too.
Btc can replace all wire and swift transfers between banks.
When jp morgan want to send funds to japan they just send btc their wallet.
And its a instant world transactions

Perhaps now that big players are getting in, Banks might want to have a change of mind and hop in with the game but initially, I doubt if they will want to risk and take suhc a decision to hold Bitcoin.
Bitcoin behaviour in the past isn't not so encouraging for such a financial bodies to reserve customers money into highly volatile assets. The way bitcoin react and dump to news wouldn't want any one to take such a bold step but may be this year would be different. Though, on a second thought, what if bear market kicks in, how do you think institutional investors will react to dump. If history is to repeat it self, it will be bad on correction
(in my opinion)
503  Economy / Economics / Re: Nigerian Banks To Close Accounts Involved with Crypto on: February 09, 2021, 10:06:31 PM
This has been the worst decision they've taken and Indian government too looks to be walking on the same path and looking to ban crypto here, when all other countries and major institutions are trying to get their hands on the world's most expensive cryptocurrency - Bitcoin. It's like getting back to the ancient era and this will surely not be in their benefits because nobody is going to follow this and will surely bring in new ways while opposing their decisions openly.

I just think we are our own problem and when we are lead by elders that aren't smart individuals with selfish interests and lack of innovation and creativity.
I still don't get the reason how some united people call the government think sometimes, they usually think below their cycle and that's why they are always behind the scene of innovation and technological creativity.
If Elon musk and Telsa could locked up some Bitcoin and some developing and under developing nations are still blocking their individuals from interacting with cryptocurrency, they are just bunch of retarded hooligans without future.
As I have said, close of a process create another route. There is p2p platform and crypto will excel as long as there are more than 1 person in this space.
504  Economy / Economics / Re: Earning interest on your crypto on: February 09, 2021, 09:53:37 PM
You never specify the type of you one over the years and the ones you bought but I would want you to be careful with depositing your funds into a custodian wallet. While locking your coins comes with terms and conditions, hope read that before you proceed and again, the status of market may change, locking this fund some times cannot be undone until a specific period is reach though some allow you to move your funds anytime you feel like.
I don't know the type of coin you are holding, I would have suggest you get Atomic wallet and stake your coins and move them any time you fit. It's a non custodian wallet, meaning you own your private key and phase phrase or mnemonic seed.
Stay guided my friend.
505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much loose from ico 2021. I got rekt on: February 08, 2021, 06:51:31 PM
I invested on razor ... holy shit

2500usd loss within 4 hours.

Very dissapointed. How much u

Your profile indicates that you are a pro, I still don't get how you end up with a scam projects in early 2021 perhaps you were overshadowed by their sweet talks and Fomo.
It's a necessity one should to do a due diligence on a new born project and also cautiously invest and again, invest in what you can afford to loose, but putting $2500 on an ico to end up as exit scam isn't just a wise move. Small capital should have been better.
Just as for recommendations and not to be taken as financial advice: Why not invest on small caps and hoe for good returns in the future, there is high chance of making it big on these gem projects since you are investing as an early adopter.
506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy coins. How much do you think we need them? on: February 08, 2021, 06:44:49 PM
We all need our privacies is different ways, I believe privacy coins have good benefits, you can never tell when their needs will knock on your door one day even if you don't use them now, covering your tracks doesn't make you a criminal, most times you are doing it to safe yourself, it's why I invest in Monero, it's the best privacy coin I know.

Monero is actually good for anonymity and I quite know how important privacy is to everyone. We all deserve that privacy but how much do you think you can have to be satisfy over the internet. It's all depend on how good or expert in covering tracks but even at that, one cannot fully cover tracks.
  • The exchange platform for transactions are aware of your activities except you want to used VPN
  • At a point, you may have used your real email address which one may have publicly given to other parties
  • Your favourite exchange where you kyc perhaps is having xmr which you may have want to use for transaction instead of going into other exchanges. Some new exchanges may delay your withdrawal when you create an account purposely for Monero transactions.
  • Your device isn't completely safe, we are all limited to anonymousity all over the internet

In conclusion, we can have a level of privacy but I doubt if we can 100%
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Real fact behind crypto ban in Nigeria on: February 08, 2021, 06:30:28 PM
Nigeria needs to fix issues about online scamming and frauds that's happening within it's people, almost all the countries in the world knows that nigeria is a scammer based, african prince, black romance etc, I know scammers are available in every countries but nigerians kinda scamming way is too much, every good reputation about that country is grounded, it's a big shame

I'm not trying to shield Nigeria but the truth has two sides of a coin, the way you guys paint Nigeria as the home of fraud is insulting and slap on Nigerian citizens. Anyway, I don't blame those who criticize the citizens but the foolish fraudsters that have made scam a job to earn a living thereby making other legitimate investments less spoken.
The thing about fraud and scam, Nigeria isn't even among the top countries but their noises are always heard over stupid reasons and their activities trying to scam the western people. Though it's not a yardstick for fraud, it's an illegal activity that should be frown upon but we shouldn't forget the legitimate hustlers.

I quite know that even at this level, there top officials in the government that are into cryptocurrency and are really benefitting from this space, since crypto doesn't totally ban, they aren't worried about their involvement since they can easily do a p2p transactions and get back their equivalent cash.
508  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocoins burning market on: February 06, 2021, 09:46:15 PM
I woke up yesterday with a news that my government decided to ban cryptocurrency, and this is something I saw when I logged on twitter and it was trending, I started regretting why I went on twitter lol.

But anyway, I am not going to give up on cryptocurrency and that’s the same with my friends that are into this field, everybody is now looking for means that they will still continue their cryptocurrency business and it’s definitely working. No giving up at this time. Cryptocurrency really changed my life when I used it the right way, especially Bitcoin, so I don’t think anyone is going to be able to talk me out from it, I am in full-time.

He is right about government ban. No government can ban crypto, it's all about the individual and how he handle his wallet. I may own a $20,000 worth of bitcoin and save it in any hardware wallet and no one will ever know that I held that can of fund with my self secured unless they stole it and of course, I wouldn't let even my family comes near it talk less of a friend.
About changing or liquidating for Fiat6, p2p platforms has increased since the news broke about the ban, in fact this one of the reason why p2p market should boom this year.
Most of our life revolve round crypto currency, I wonder why the useless government would want to interfere in it's citizens interest despite when they clearly know about the risk.
509  Economy / Economics / Re: Florida bank says it has closed Trump's accounts on: February 06, 2021, 09:33:45 PM
Trump isn't going to be the last person these banks deplatform. I imagine we'll have companies that spring up just for conservative with how "tolerant" the left is -- or this just makes the case for decentralized currency even more appeasing.

Fortunately for Trump, a bank would beg to keep his money within their institution.

The close of his bank account sound too polical to me. Who dares close the bank of one of the president of the United State if not the same opposition party, I have never be a fan but I just think the action was just too political interest and. Way to get back him.
He wasn't different from whatever they are doing to him currently, heis one and only president of the United States that talk arrogantly, believe everything is fake, don't like one's opinion and lastly a racist.
I just hope Biden doesn't end up deceiving the masses because too much of disappointment end up moat of the time as disappointment.
510  Economy / Economics / Re: Need not just stimulus but usdt stimulus on: February 06, 2021, 09:26:04 PM
To help crypto we need usdt stimulus.

Exchangers should do air drops of usdt to active traders. Yes the government do stimulus and cheap loans but yet this funds are not going in crypto economy so fed should directly start working with USDT and Every time fed printing money there will be USDT airdrops also for crypto traders and active traders rewards Smiley

Crypto exchange is n entity created by two or more individuals with sole aim of. Making profit and not to share wealth. But government on the other hand is created to serve the people with their tax been paid by the citizens and hence it's their responsibility to make sure that are economy is well handled with optimum satisfaction.
Exchanges give most of this airdrops and give away solely to attract more customers, and most of them are still spend within the exchange. You should have asked yourself why aren't they compensating traders who made lost during this pandemic.
It's not their responsibility for your profit and loss, you are making your gains and loss and they are making also from the fees you pay for trading.
511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I hope this helps new crypto investors, do not hesitate to read on: February 05, 2021, 09:21:34 PM
Such an oldee post with good outline point. I wish I had those who were to guide me during my struggling days in crypto, the is one of the best and simple advice that's common to all projects either big or small cap. Cryptocurrency is going big and institutional are all in trying to make the ecosystem go main stream, hence a careful consideration need to be put in place otherwise one may loose all they have built in their entire career.
Another advice that's listed: please avoid futures if you are also new to crypto, its a pure gambling and route to suicide when you do such. You can/could get liquidated instantly.
I was in a group chat with one lad crying how he mistakenly open a margin of $3k with 75% leverage and the total money was liquidated under seconds. It wasn't his intention to put all the funds into that position but mistake and carelessness lead him to that.
Stay safe.
512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Report ETH for SCAM because $80 fees on: February 05, 2021, 08:59:33 PM
Ethereum is losing people's trust. Of course, ETH is the most popular coin after Bitcoin and has a clean reputation. It is not for nothing that institutional investors are buying up Bitcoin and Ethereum first, and then everyone else on the little things. But it is still very difficult for ordinary users to pay huge fees.
I think people now can run to Binance Smart Chain.

It's not a good idea to abandom an innovation but If one should check the history of cryptocurrency, I think Ethereum has been one of the project with worse transactions processing. It now behave like a local bank that charge you huge amount for sending currency across another state.
I think Binance so this potential, that's why they embrace the idea and simplify it into Binance Smart Chain and I wonder why Vitali never think of the idea and name it Ethereum2.0
I know Dapps works on the Binance Smart Chain, why not just adoptsuch system and end these fees saga.
513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH made me very Angry today on: February 05, 2021, 08:49:19 PM
The gas fee has been crazy the past days and it's a pity that an average person can no longer enjoy Ethereum network due to their congestion bulls**t and it's annoying.
I had the same scenario when I wanted to swap corx token some days back when I saw price surge in the token. Since Uniswap is more easier to trade without involving any withdrawal fee, I decided to give them a try but i didn't know I had to run two transfer to be successful in that particular trade.
  • The first transaction was approval that took almost half of my remaining ETH balance
  • The swap fee which was 3x of my initial transaction. At the end, I couldn't proceed with the transaction.

I had to send my tokens to centralized exchange which was painful

515  Economy / Economics / Re: In 2021 to 2022 you decide your life and wealth on: February 02, 2021, 07:45:33 PM
Its now or never
If need go rob your neighbours
Do what ever it takes now or never 2021 to 2022
Coming

Why rob neighbours because you want to make it this year. Success is subjective to individual and it depends on how you handle the situation. There are so many millionaires out there that doesn't do crypto and they make millions every time and even when you tell them to invest in crypto, they will simply reply NO.
You can start in with a small capital and if you are fortunate to get in the right project, you will cash out big. Today, cryptopotato announced a user that bought NFT worth $130 and was sold back $130,000 with huge percentage growth.
If you are patient, you will make fortune in cryptocurrency especially if you know how to view projects with fundamentals.
516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Introducing Bitfresh - iGaming with 90s UI on: February 02, 2021, 01:48:44 PM
This platform looks attractive and interesting to users because it has many ways to earn money like Referral Program, BFT Token & Dividends System, staking etc.

Not just that, they also integrated a system where you gain even when you loose and the i think the ifea here is they may allow the use of other coin token to bet and give out dividend in BFT Token but I doubt if that will bring demand for bitfresh token.
Generally, the UI looks interesting and so far, there social platforms are active including Telegram, I hope they would give an estimated date for the main launch.
517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading Or Invest ? on: February 01, 2021, 11:47:38 PM
When the altcoin price was experiencing a positive change I was confused ... whether to invest or trade directly ..
your advice is advice to me .. thank you

Investing and trading have something in common, they both have commitment, patience, skill and knowledge and lastly keep out of emotions. The only thing that is a bit different between the two is trading requires more of your time. If you aren't the type that sit beside your computer all day, I suggest you go with investing in whatever altcoin you want to put on your portfolio either for long or short term period. Though, you need to learn to do your own research, that way you're investing with due diligence.
Trading never works for me right from day one I started but buying good altcoins when the market plummet always give me good returns.

520  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Interviews] with Bitcointalk members on: January 06, 2021, 08:57:08 AM
Thank you @zasad@ for permitting me and starting 2021 interviews session

QUESTIONS:
1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?

It all began as a joke in my year 3 in university, I was searching for side income where I could earn since Fiver platform wasn't friendly for me with their policy and harsh customer reviews. A friend introduced me to a  Telegram group where they hold this new and confusing topic about bitcoin, the terms and words were so complex but with help of some material and consistency, I grew to understand some terms like HODL, Bull and BEER, SHITCOINs ( I came in during ICO collapse of the market ), PUMP and DUMP with other popular terms.
What picks my curiosity was how some mate made some $$dollars during the ICO year was motivating, I had to step up the game too, I went through some papers and blog to understand the basic things I had to learn by that time.

2. When and why did you buy your first bitcoin?
I was pondering to buy bitcoin during the ICO period when the whole market became scary, the Chinese ban was frightening the whole market.
I bought my first bitcoin in 2019 when the whole thing became stabilize.

3. How did you get on the forum?
That was back in 2018 with my Alt account, there were so many airdrops back in the days and I was so lucky to Participated in Revain and I was among the selected participants.
One of the criteria to be eligible for the reward was to comment on their announcement thread, that was how I got to know this wonderful forum.

4.1. What prevents mass adoption of cryptocurrencies?
The answer to this question is obvious, of course, it's the Government in my opinion. Seeing how China and their government were playing cards before institutional investors took over the game was obvious and disappointing. They play a major role in this asset since most of the bitcoin Miners come from China and lots of investors.
I  could recall when they removed the ban on cryptocurrency in 2019, Bitcoin pump 17% in just an hour. They control the people and since we have been used to a centralized system, we fear worst that will happen to our funds when the government likely take an action.
We also observe an increase in market cap when the Indian Government lifted their ban on cryptocurrency in 2020, this is why I hate the government in this system though little regulation is important because of selfish interest by a group of people.

4.2 Tell us about your experience on bitcointalk?
It has been great and tremendous so far, the experience is amazing and I grow to learn every day since I wasn't fortunate to be among the early members of the forum. It's such a pioneering environment guide to knowledge.

4.3. Why do you need multiple accounts on this forum? Do you have a commercial interest or other reasons?
The more you look at Bitcointalk, the less you see. It's a large forum with so many sub-board and interesting topics. I'm using two accounts because I feel my main account shouldn't just be about bounty and earning but to learn from others and impact my knowledge on others.
I have also observed other members especially the higher rank don't value account once they see social links on your profile. So, I needed something that can add value to other people.

5. What do you think of the current Merit system and signature campaigns?  Do they harm the forum?

It has prevented lots of users from writing jargons and improving quality content in the forum, It has also helped to reduce plagiarism and copy-paste.
On the aspect of signature campaigns, it easily differentiates users and how they earn and encourage users with low rank to improve on there self.

6. The most useful forum topic? Most helpful users?
The practical and interesting topics I have found include:
[Tutorial] How to create Lightning Network Channel (Testnet BTC)
Newbies - Read before posting
Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ
How to sign a message?

Users that have been helpful include:
Ratimov
OgNasty
DmrDmr
LoyceV
RapTarX

7. 3 things you would implement on the forum?
First, the forum should be customized and adjustable to mobile view when interacting with the phone, it's kind of eye disturbing when you have to keep zooming at every loaded page.
Secondly, the account security system should be improved. There have been many cases of account stolen and hack, it will be a good move if he implements Authentication/2FA in every account with a unique password. I have seen on Facebook and other huge fan base web community, I believe the system will work here too.
Last but not the list, alternative way to deal with newbies that abuse an IP address.
Over the last 3 weeks, I notify my account to some board for quick updates about posts and I have noticed how some users open new accounts with unnecessary topics that are filled with crazy spams and dangerous links.
These topics are usually deleted by mods and such account become permanently banned but my issue is how this account poison others from having free registration on the forum. It's unfair since they have abused the system and hence new users from that particular location/region have to pay some fee before they can post on the forum. It isn't their fault.

8. Do you trade on exchanges or invest in projects?
I have both experiences but investing has been easier for me, trading requires skill, consistency, patience and time. I can't give all to trading, most of the time investment.

9. Tell a story about your big profit or big loss?
Early January 2020, I sold all my KCS( kucoin shares ) as I no longer see much progress in their token, with the little profits I made collectively, was $1400.
I used all my fund to purchased BNB each at $17, luckily for me, Iran and US mini-war began which trigger some market pump including crypto. My BNB was heavily pumped to $26 and I had sweet profits as that was my first time of making such profit but did I sold? No!, that was my first mistake.
I was busy with my final year project as I was hoping BNB will break ATH and pump heavily since Binance chain was making waves and whales were shilling.
It all became another story on the March 12 black Friday when my portfolio became $350, I panic and sold. That's how I lost to the market.
10. What do you think about the DEFI ecosystem?
It's has become crystal clear that most projects with suffix FINANCE have nothing to offer, only a few with the real user case and products are still fit, though almost all are still down from the all-time high.
The frenzy has cool off, is that the end? I don't know but I believe in some.

11. Is your anonymity a vital necessity or precaution?
Privacy is essential but can we hide everything from the rest of the world?
In some aspects I love privacy but it should be a pseudonym.
Anonymity demerit out wages it Merits in my opinion.

12. The last cryptocurrency book you read?
The DeFi, its an embodiment of decentralized ecosystem and previous knowledge about cryptocurrency by Coingecko.
13. Advise 3 cryptocurrencies/tokens for investment in the next 1-2 years?
BNB has failed in the past due to an ill-fated market situation, but I love everything about Binance chain and utility behind BNB.
Keep eyes on Bitcoin, Ethereum and Polkadot
14. How much will Bitcoin cost at the end of 2021?
It's very difficult to predict bitcoin direction ever since all-time high price became broken, though if the steam continues, $50k is imminent before the end of the year.

Invest in what you can afford to lose doesn't equate you to be a careless person
