Maybe it would be a good idea to do a Q&A with the dev(s) without revealing too much? I'm up for a Q&A and/or interview most any time. If someone wants to organize and plan it, let me know. Well, it could be done over a skype call. Community gives a lot of questions and someone makes the call and asks the questions. I might be able to help with that if people are interested in it. Again, if the community wants it and someone is willing to plan it, I'm up for it. Sounds like a great idea.. Then upload it to youtube..

Oi you lot, don't keep the cat in the bag! At least let it see daylight, go on, give us a look The whitepaper for this particular system is far from finished. It's not ready for public viewing, and right now stands only as a technical document. Don't expect to see a big announcement on when it will be released or implemented, as we have already started integrating it by implementing difficultyshield outside of core. The best advice I can offer until this whitepaper is ready is to read the sources. Keep reading them on every commit. Watch how it changes. I'm not going to hype something in a lame attempt to push prices up. I offer code. If you want to know what it is or how it works, it's there for you to read, and will only continue to grow and evolve. TL;DR - I'm not going to simply tell it and hype it. I'm going to just show it. One commit at a time. I get the feeling you've been around the block a few times I look forward to seeing the updates He certainly isn't a half-assed rent-a-dev type character judging by his extensive Litecoindark commit history and knowledge of the litecoin codebase. I remember the Groupcoin dev basically bought an off the shelf PoS wallet for android and that was the sole extent of his entire coding efforts. No wonder that coin failed. Obviously Litecoindark has a great dev, we just need a great PR manager now. Preferably one who doesn't hijack the twitter account or runs off with the bounties lol. Any thoughts on hiring a Public Relations rep @TrollByFire or @Litecoindark?

Well this is exciting.. Also.. Check out the volume on Bittrex. Head and shoulders above the rest.. It's certainly obvious for newcomers to get in when it the number one coin in terms of trades.

And finally I have real internet... I do not post much because I generally do not have much to say; I guess someone who posts "Moon!" 1000 times and becomes a full member is more reliable? The Devs say that since the LiteCoin trademark is expired anyone can freely use it. I spoke with some lawyer friends and they say it is not that simple. They say this could be a legal strategy to scare LTCD away or to extract value. Any lawsuit has to be fought even if the one attacked is in the right. This costs money. This is why the US legal system sucks. There are procedures that have to be followed to take over a trademark: Did the devs follow these procedures? They are not that difficult. Why is any question attacked as FUD? Here's the Twitter posting. Some fellows are thinking I made it all up so here you go in full color. The poor girl needs to see a dentist. I am sure it just some guy's avatar anyway: Hey, I was looking through the thread and saw this. What the hell is this shit? Is the way dev is dumping all his coins? Jesus, is crypto always full of scams? It turns out that LTC doesn't own the Litecoin trademark.. Story over. LTCD not a scam.

Guy please stop to panic now or du u want to crash the coin. Hold your coins and wait a while.. dont overreact
I know right? People really throw the word scam around a lot. I don't give a shit whether the coin was insta-mined or not, what matters is are the devs working hard and are they being honest? And the answer is yes to both. Your FUD TylerDerden and TorontoR are causing the price to drop, and that may be what you want, but I seem to recall all you two ever do is voice negative opinions of everything. What are your intentions? To help us?

We know that it's forked.. It's normal to fork, during a fork. Hashlink will eventually dump their branch and rejoin the blockchain.

You go away this is true even the developer can not denied this. Please explain to me in EXACT detail how this is true. Using maths and logic.

there isnt any reason why anybody should win dude, when a coin launches the pool with the most hash doesnt get all the coins it gets split between all the pools. there is no reason hashlink should be losing any coins, their wallet is up to date. SCAM LOL!!!!!!
What... This is so retarded. How is this possibly a scam?

Block explorer on wrong fork.. It's their fault for not updating.. They'll fix this.
|
|
|
TrollByFire or Robbert: You should update the OP so that everyone knows that the fork was successful and people can have a little boost in faith for the coin.
It's not 100% successful. Hashlink is wasting its hashes on an incorrect chain . Someone should notify them. The point is that the coin is safe. The blockchain is not screwing up.. It's Hashlink's fault for not being up to date.

Bestpool's expected difficulty is apparently 3,000 in 119 blocks.. That's higher than before? Will this work now the mulipools are onboard?
You should just ignore it as it's showing random numbers. Best-pool's frontend doesn't know DifficultyShield and it's showing numbers which would be correct if the DifficultyShield wasn't in place. In fact, difficulty is rising slightly every blocks so just as it should be. Sweet as man thanks I see that there was a mini panic on Bittrex when there was uncertainty over the fork lol. Back up to 2.1k now. TrollByFire or Robbert: You should update the OP so that everyone knows that the fork was successful and people can have a little boost in faith for the coin.

Not sure if best-pool is on the correct blockchain. Hashlink seems like its on the correct one.
It's the opposite. Best-pool is on the correct blockchain an hashlink is forked out. Best-pool chain is longer. Also, Bittrex is on the same chain as best-pool (I just confirmed it by moving some coins from my wallet which is also in sync with best-pool). ^^^ +1 -- The longer chain will win. That's by design. Bestpool's expected difficulty is apparently 3,000 in 119 blocks.. That's higher than before? Will this work now the mulipools are onboard?

As we said they would. Whichever multipool just hit it, hit it hard. At least they won't leave us stranded again. Great work mate on the difficulty shield.. hopefully it can stop the strip-mining effects

A lot of nodes are having to sync with the longest chain right now. due to how far it dropped, it had to restabilize the difficulty for the proper net hash rate. Once all chains have consensus again, all will be well. Difficulty dropped to zero and basically had to recalculate it's proper place.
Even my solo rig found 34 blocks which were quickly orphaned.
Is the blockchain updated as well as the exchanges? You mean the explorer?

|
Has anyone found a Block?
It's due right now.. Be patient.
|
|
|
After these last 4 blocks, do you think the price of ltcd will go up a lot?
Why would it go up ? My only guess would be that the confidence in the coin overcoming an obstacle would make people more likely to buy and hold.. As far as the last couple days have been concerned, the price has held very stable at 22-25 and hasn't crashed once.. Not many coins have blockhain issues for a week and still maintain a good price. People are defiently holding and not panicking..
