502  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: QoinPro.com - Free BTC, DOGE, LTC, FTC, VTA every 24 hours automatically on: November 06, 2014, 12:32:26 AM
It works only if a member have thousands of referrals.

I have 7000+ referrals (but honestly do nothing now) and my earnings are like 0.0015 btc. Bullshit, just steer clear of this one.. not only that I have tried to get a payout on that shitty balance for about 2 months now. Each time it says (no matter what address I use) it cannot validate the address and to contact them. Bullshit +1.

Emphasis mine. Quoted, and in agreement. They are worthless.
503  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm going to warn you guys one last time. on: November 04, 2014, 12:24:36 AM
bulls did not heed to my final warning, now they are hamburger patties.

The ones who bragged about having balls enough to hodl...

Either my balls are big enough or I am not over invested. Or maybe both? Who knows?

If I had time to day trading I would because there's profit to be made on these swings. But sadly I don't have time for that. So I'm in for the long run instead.

504  Other / Off-topic / Re: How you drink your coffee? on: October 30, 2014, 01:11:18 AM
I don't drink coffee at all. I don't know what people see in that awful drink. You can die if you drink too much coffee, no thanks. I want to live.

You can die if you drink too much of anything. The mortality rate for people who drink water is 100%. You also die if you drink too little. Life sucks, no?
505  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: how long CEX.io is gonna be down? on: October 27, 2014, 06:07:02 AM
It's not scheduled maintenance if there is no schedule.

I don't see any mention of a (planned) starting - ending time for this "maintenance". I reckon it's an outage.
506  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is bitcoin having real value? on: October 24, 2014, 06:10:36 AM
hello i ahve doubt i.e bitcoins are distributed freely for mining

so my doubt is bitcoins are really moving based on real money i.e

suppose in first say example 1000 people have bitcoins i.e distributed using mining

so for these people how the value of bitcoin paid i.e is this money paid by later investors?

i.e my main doubt is bitcoin has real money
and why for mining giving bitcoins and how it useful to bitcoin

or is this all just another virtual scam?

I will be the mean guy here and tell you to search for the answers yourself. These questions are being asked over and over again when the answers are easily found. Please.

A car is made to drive. If the choice is either it sits in the parking lot or my wife drives it somewhere... My wife gets to drive it.

Of course, if I want to go somewhere myself my wife can take her own bloody car.

Nobody says the car isnt being driven ...

Everyone value things differently.

Yeah, it is your car and your call. I just gave my opinion and I guess you're right that I don't value my car that much.

Obviously I am not you and my wife doesn't have a licence to drive so I can't really relate Wink. If I were your I probably wouldn't let her drive it either. Heck, she has a BMW? What is she complaining about!?

Hello all, I have been a bit sick today, so not before tomorrow I will give a big update.

What I tell right now, its a real company, whit real equipment. Got a Preproduction Titanium out of his box yesterday (heavy)
The CEO Marc Coumans knows a thing or two about the whole cryptocurancy and mining hardware. The Visited is a really positive experience.

Update..soon (I need to get better first..)

Sooo Zeta0S...what happened with them being a real company with real equipment?

ZetaOS, please give full disclosure on your relationship with MAT and/or Marc Coumans... Announcing BFL is about to go bankrupt. Supporting MAT?

Superstition is the end of reason.

No gods, no masters.

yeah, everyone is equal ... idiot!

Try this experiment take flour, eggs, sugar, baking soda, butter, milk, and a oven and just leave them in the kitchen, how long do you thing it would take to evolve into a cake?
a million years, a billion years, a trillion years?  It won't happen because there's no action behind it, and there no plan behind that.

Before you have an earth, solar system, or galaxies you must have a plan, as well as the ingredients and action to carryout that plan.   Who created the ingredients, and who designed the plan?  You can't get a "bang" without bang ingredients and a plan to make a bang.

...  who created thought, who created a system where by the invisible mind controls the physical body  ...

You live in a world where 90+% of the world population are theist.   Be glad they don't treat you as you treat them.

Comparing everything that exists to a cake, nice. And where does that 90+% figure come from? Does that include non practicing "theists"?

The 90+% figure is what I use when I don't feel like using 97% and bickering over percents.

You have those who believe there is a God, the God, the Gods, and those who don't believe there is a God.  Those who believe there is a God but not worthy of worship, praise, or honor are still theist.      There are tons of kids that thoroughly hate their parents and and what nothing to do with then (unless of course they need them), even go as far as to wish they were not their parents but they don't deny their parent's existence.

In time most come around.  It's absolute foolish to live on this earth for a full lifetime and exit our reality believing all of this organization could occur without a plan.

Wikipedia has different numbers.
Quote
Atheists comprise an estimated 2.01%, and non-religious a further 16% of the world population

That makes roughly 18 non-believers, leaving 82% at best as theists. Care to back up your 97% or even 90%?

Also; if you want to avoid bickering over things try to back up your statements. This is bitcointalk. You will be called out.

And for something creepy... Read the post mortem adventures of Elmer McCurdy

Quote from: wikipedia
His body was subsequently taken to a funeral home in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. When no one claimed the corpse, the undertaker embalmed it with an arsenic-based preservative and allowed people to see "The Bandit Who Wouldn't Give Up" for a nickel. People would place nickels in McCurdy's mouth, which the undertaker would collect later. As increasingly large numbers of people came to view his remains, McCurdy was said to have made more money in death than in life. Many carnival operators asked to buy the mummified body from the undertaker, but he refused.

Almost five years after McCurdy died, a man showed up from a nearby traveling carnival known as the Great Patterson Shows claiming to be McCurdy's long-lost brother. He indicated that he wanted to remove the corpse to give it a proper burial. Within two weeks, however, McCurdy was a featured exhibit with the carnival. For the next 60 years, McCurdy's body was sold to successive wax museums, carnivals, and haunted houses. The body was part of the official sideshow that accompanied the Trans-American Footrace. The owner of a haunted house near Mount Rushmore, South Dakota, refused to purchase him because he thought that McCurdy's body was actually a mannequin and was not lifelike enough. McCurdy's corpse can be seen in the 1933 Dwain Esper exploitation film, Narcotic.[2]

Eventually, McCurdy's corpse wound up at The Pike, an amusement zone in Long Beach, California which existed under various names until 1979

Enjoy your next visit to any haunted house!

So what is the conclusion about this? Any resolution given?

Stunna didn't want to post the story for some reason and asked OP to post instead, so OP posted, only OP doesn't seem to know the story, because he thought his password had been bruteforced, but Stunna says that isn't what happened, so now Stunna is going to post the true story tomorrow...

It sounds like PD was doing very little logging at the time of the attack, but despite that it's definitely not PD's fault, and there's nothing to worry about.

I think that's the story so far. Please correct me if I got anything wrong.

DiceMiner's password may have been compromised from some other site/location. Social engineering seems as likely as a technical exploit. Especially since the attacker apparently knew when DiceMiner was playing. Figuring that out by social engineering is probably easier than doing it by technically breaking into either his system or into PD.

If his password was attacked directly it is not even clear if it was done on PD. Maybe the password was used in another place that is vulnerable. There are many unknowns, but it seems both Stunna and DiceMiner are constructive and working together to figure out what happened. So we may get a reasonable conclusion in this case. I commend them both on this.

Robocoin? shouldn't this be on the altcoin section?
This shit is too complicated, it will never take off within the popular. We need easy ass ATM experiences.

It has to start from somewhere. These machines will be improved on and after a few generations they will be more user friendly.

No money lost as I haven't sold, sorry fallling.
...

Detailed description of my revolutionary new market strategy, 100% scientifically guaranteed never to lose money:

1.  Buy.
2.  Never sell.
3.  ? ? ?
4.  Profit!

Equivalent to throwing coins into a well. Smiley

Physical coins might be worth more soon at this rate!

At least you can sell physical metal coins for scrap if they become worthless, and you can wipe your arse on bank notes if they become worthless. You can't use bitcoins for anything if they become worthless.

Good job neither you or the previous three posters have any then!

Correct, I have sold all my BTC & continue to sell everything I mine!!! Just like all the whales & smart money are doing... Go get sucked into the bull trap yourself!

Don't be silly fallllling you don't even mine btc. That requires resources other than an internet connection and questionable English language skills.

Falling?? Dude I've been running a 1.2TH/s machine, that I bought secondhand, for a while now....... Selling every piece of coin I make & buying back BTC at flash crashes just to dump it again when you fools buy it for more $! I already made return on my investment since I got my machine for cheap. Im not one of those fools spending $3-5k on a pre order of machines. Bitcoin community is full of fools that get scammed and washed around easy because you're all just trying to get rich quick! Thanks for denying I even mine LOL It's like you claiming BTC will be $100,000 soon LMFAO You have no idea wtf you are talking about, go start a business or "digital currency" of your own so you can actually make real money instead of being a sheep!

MOST OF YOU HERE ARE SHEEP. FOLLOW THE HERD, NERDS!!!

You come across very badly with this and the majority of your posts. Telling others what to do, screeching abuse, it's pretty juvenile stuff.

I would say holding a speculative position in btc is far far removed from being a sheep in the herd, even now in late 2014. I know lots of professionals in their thirties and none hold bitcoin, most barely recognise the word.

This forum and reddit are a bit of an echo chamber. There was a thread suggesting btc has reached peak investment potential which could not be farther from the truth.

Bitcoin in my mind is a binary assymetric bet. If it goes to zero then I lose a small percentage of my portfolio and my brothers will kid me about it for a year or two. If it pays off then it will be fantastic for me, but also more importantly for the world in general.

You can try and get rich quick thinking the rest of us are fools. But perhaps we are not all as foolish as you think  Wink

Offensive or not, buying at flash crashes and selling on bounces is a good way to earn more bitcoins. If you have the time to monitor the market enough for it, that is.

It is risky, but there's no profit without risk!
518  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is now a good time? on: October 02, 2014, 12:50:27 AM
im completely new to the Bitcoin scene. I've read about it in the news multiple times and have finally convinced myself to give it a try. I literally just created this account and hope this can be the beginning of things. From reading I've gathered that there's been a downwards trend the last few days. Is now a good time to buy in or is this fall expected and could go lower? I want to make sure I jump in at the right time. Ta

I suggest you research a bit more. The downward trend is not something from the last few days. Nobody can guarantee you that we're at the bottom now.

As always, don't use any money that you can't (or don't want to) lose. You don't want to be a weak hand in the Bitcoin market.

520  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: A case study in entry-level mining on: October 01, 2014, 02:43:12 AM
The Jig Is Up

After 5 months of continuous operation, someone finally noticed my Antminer S1 in the patch cupboard, and made an official complaint. I have nowhere else I can put it, so I'm afraid I have to switch it off.

This is perhaps fitting, as I am now generating only 0.001 BTC per day, which is currently worth approximately 0.44 AUD. My electricity costs are approximately 1.45 AUD per day, so I would be losing money to keep it running.

As for what to do next, I'm not really sure. I have 3 BTC in paper wallets stored in a safe. I have another 1 BTC stored in various offline and online wallets. BTC is trending downwards at the moment.

The Antminer S1 was my best effort yet, but I'm still struggling to achieve anything more than academic value out of my mining efforts. Academic is cool, and I'm pleased to be contributing to the network, but this hobby is getting expensive.

I guess you had a fair run with the S1. If factoring in electricity costs you would have probably taken it offline over a month ago. Am I right to assume you're not going to continue mining? Or do you have some future plans?

Cheers.
