501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [VEX] VexCoin | Earn by PoA | MULTIPOOL | ICO is complete | Buy Support! on: September 25, 2014, 03:28:51 AM
This Mac wallet do not work for me on mac osx.

Tryed it 4 times.

It says that the object is broken and send it to tresh!?

What OSX version are you using?

I'm on 10.9.5 and the wallet is working fine for me.

A couple of notes:

  • There is an issue with many Qt wallets on Mac
  • When opening the wallet for the 1st time it crashes
  • Don't let this worry you - the wallet is simply looking for a file it has not written yet
  • Close the wallet, force it if you need to with cmd-option-escape
  • Restart the wallet - do NOT trash it & reinstall
  • Wallet will begin seeking connections and will synchronize in due course
  • This occurs with many Qt wallets under Mac on 1st start (not great programming by Mac wallet porters but it works)

Let us know if this works for you or whether there is an issue that needs to be addressed. Oh, and always specify what OS version you are trying to use.

Cheers from the land down-under.

I've been hearing mixed complaints as to adding it like that. They'd automatically get an update for their unread topics, so I think it's fine.

At risk of adding unnecessary work it might pay to keep both camps happy by making new posts and updating the OP as information becomes available/changes. Just a thought. Smiley
503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Blockade [CADE] [1% PoS] [Decentralized DDoS Protection] on: September 22, 2014, 06:25:59 AM
well another month until anything goes ahead

I'm actually good with that. Much better that Somekindabitcoin takes his time and does this right rather than rushing to crash Wink
504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Blockade [CADE] [1% PoS] [Decentralized DDoS Protection] on: September 20, 2014, 07:47:02 AM
So, the coins will be released upfront. Presumably trading will be withheld until the ICO is finished? Otherwise impatient DosCoin swappers could undersell your ICO.
505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Checkcoin] Explore the world using Crypto! [POW PHASE STARTED] on: September 20, 2014, 06:15:32 AM
Dev when do u release functional wallet? as you promised.

Windows, Linux & Mac wallets linked from OP already
506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Blockade [CADE] [1% PoS] [Decentralized DDoS Protection] on: September 20, 2014, 05:59:57 AM
Is the ICO still open? Also do you have bounties for bloggers and do you need translation of OP into Mandarin Chinese? Smiley

It's possible that I may do a new ICO method, but I need to judge the method by the community. This method is absolutely free and it generates the money needed for it to go on. The only thing you need to invest is time!

It's nice to see where you've taken this project. Please elaborate further on your method.

I can bet on the negativity of this. I'll just keep it simple: Pay per download.

Wallet.dat files with coins in them.

Nice to see your innovative approach to everything Somekindabitcoin, although I expect your ideas to be a little too novel even for most cryptocoiners Wink

On a slightly different but very important note what happens to current DosCoin holders. Are we credited Blockade coin wallets at a fixed exchange rate of 60:1 still or has that varied? What has your fertile mine dreamed up for us?
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Blockade [CADE] [1% PoS] [Decentralized DDoS Protection] on: September 19, 2014, 05:39:22 AM
You could find Escrow.

As I read it Poloniex Initial Coin Offering will be the escrow. Do you have an idea other than ICO?
508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [KEY] KeyCoin | Fair Launch | 9/01 Update: KeyOS RC1, KeyTrader v2 on: September 16, 2014, 02:06:54 PM
Dev , don't stop pls , for such explanations......you time is precious  ! All will see , the results - 1 mil coins !!!!!  And pls set the coins you need to hold , in order to use the Key Trader 2  @ least  at 10k !  And we will see than , where those trolls will hide  Grin

don't think 10k is a good idea...no one would want to use KeyTrader2 if it is so expensive....I'd say ~500 is a good choice

why not leave the 100 as it is now, to many could use the KeyTrader2

What ever the total comes to, KeyTrader is definitely going to help stabilize the price. With the total amount of Keycoins in existance, I'd personally like to see at least a 250 to 500 range. And the coin should not only be in wallet, it should be staking as well.

agreed.

Price is 0.0002 ATM .......you want to use a trader soft , worth @ least 2k $  for  10 $?
OK ...if anyone can have it for 10$ .....what will be your profit from it ?
What is the point ?
Everyone will have same as you @ a price of a bottle of Vodka  Roll Eyes

But not everyone will get Keycoins at 0.0002.
And only when Keycoin is spread into many people's hand can the price stabilize so I'd say ~500 is good

+1

I too think it is much better to encourage more and smaller investors with a 200-500 coin hold requirement, especially since these coins must be held on exchanges at the moment. I don't know about you but I really don't like leaving substantial value idle on exchanges for extended periods. Plenty of coins have been hoovered out of hacked exchanges already and I think making people leave 10K coins, currently $1,000.00 worth, just sitting in exchange wallets builds a temptation too far.

I've already broached the possibility of having coins staking in personal wallets but that apparently is not in the currently testing version of KeyTrader.

Additionally I have just had a quick look at another offered trading application, QTL (haven't tried it and don't know how it compares with KeyTrader2) and note a fully functional version 2 involves a commitment of less than $150. There are other freebies hitting the market too.

Just my 2¢-worth.
509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Mandatory Upgrade V.3.1.1 or V.1.6.1 on: September 16, 2014, 07:31:51 AM
UPDATE: OMG, I just read your 100's of posts, and YOU are on the Superteam, NO QUESTION! Your posts are FULL of pictures about super this and super that , there are hundereds!! You have posted announcements and changes , and updates before anyone else. So question you fucking coward, WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU NOT HELPING YOUR COMMUINITY AND HIDING BEHIND ANOTHER NAME?!!?  I DIDNT fuck up your coin, YOU did by ignoring the users and investors that have trusted you. Worse than that you write like your 14... ohh this is worse than I thought , it TOTALLY explains the avoidance of POD.. it ALL fits! Would YOU invest your money with this kid? Superteam KNEW that if THIS ever got out, its over! Read his posts and then decide. YOU have HUNDEREDS of posts on Bitcoin talk and EVERY last one of them promotes supercoin. There is not 1 post about another coin.

This is a copy and paste of his very last post. Does THIS comment sounds like a regular user, or a Dev that is REALLY speaking his mind, and saying what he REALLY thinks?!!?

"Remember that you chose to acquire this coin by mining or purchase and with that acquisition comes just one right, the right to decide whether to hold or sell. Under no circumstance does it mean the devs work for you."

Heres another:

"If you had $100,000 would you invest $1000 to make it $1,000,000?

Of course you would! It's a no-brainer!

Donate NOW for Supercoin promos"

Heres a post from June of 2014: Does THIS sound like a regular user/miner/investor or a dev?

"For those who don’t know what went down, I’ll summarize. SuperCoin won the voting to be included on Poloniex (what an honor!) Instead of playing his role and facilitating trade for SUPER Busoni instead decided to reject their inclusion and make this antagonistic public post:

Does the above posts sound like they came from a regular user or a dev?

Ive said it before on this forum, Im the last cat you want to ever tangle with. Pick someone else , TRUST ME!  YOU are the reason your coin went to the shitter, because your werent man enough to face your investors, instead you hid behind a fake name. When they called for POD, you ran like a little bitch. Your a coward. Simple as that.  I hesitated before posted this as I dont want to crash the price, but it doesnt much matter, coin is already fucked and is sitting at 421 on Rex now. Frankly , now the truth is out, you may as well do the POD, as it the only thing that might save this coin. I think you owe that to your investors that have trusted you. If you show some more maturity, nodoby will care about your age. Well.. now you guys know the truth, and sorry it came out the way it did.

Vegas

Try getting something right Vegas.

Hopefully everyone following this will actually check my posts - only this is actually mine: "Remember that you chose to acquire this coin by mining or purchase and with that acquisition comes just one right, the right to decide whether to hold or sell. Under no circumstance does it mean the devs work for you."

Where you got the rest of that rant I have no idea, nor interest. My posts are here for anyone that cares: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=334297;sa=showPosts

Whatever you are smokin' Vegas you really ought to cut down buddy.
510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Mandatory Upgrade V.3.1.1 or V.1.6.1 on: September 16, 2014, 05:19:44 AM

Ironically the Mammoth dev is about as visible and reliable.

I find it quite quaint. We all post under pseudonyms yet some are complaining about the devs doing so - after mining or buying coins knowing the devs were posting under pseudonyms...

Impatience and ill-tempered tantrums are a sell-signal. People sold. Aren't we surprised.
511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Mandatory Upgrade V.3.1.1 or V.1.6.1 on: September 16, 2014, 04:04:51 AM
So what does the community want?

Devs delivered what they said they would and no one is happy with it.  Delivery is never enough.  Crypto traders will never be happy.  They will always want something more.  Then they will hope it will bring a good pump so they can dump.  Look at all the coins that deliver on the promises and then get dumped to shit.  Super is no different. That's where it is now.  Devs delivered, there was a decent pre-pump and a weak pump upon release and now yall are dumping.

You think PoD will turn price around?
Will a code review be enough?
Do you think going open source will be enough?
Do you think new community leaders will be enough?
Should they spend $5k, $10k, $20k, or more on hiring a marketing firm?

Naw, nothing above will change a damn thing for the long term.  You know why?  Because you freaking people will never be happy with that.  You will always want more.  Once the next reason to pump and dump fades you will look for something else to whine about.

You fight among yourselves and argue about what you think devs should be doing.  You send a horrible message to future investors and weak handed investors.  Devs can only do so much.  A devs job is to develop the freaking coin.  You need the community to work together for marketing and promotions, new ideas, growth, and support.  At the end of the day, the community needs to be strong enough to support the coin or it all falls to shit.  The Super community is falling apart and so is everything else.

You've got two choices, either pull the community together and grow or dump the damn thing and gtfo.

** THIS WONT FIX ITSELF!! , and the devs wont fix it , if we just stand around and whine, it will continue to crumble **

Its true there is only one way out of this thing. We need to coordinate a strong buy pump, and NO HARD dumping!! We need to get a buy momentum back and change the direction of this thing. We need to set a date, have your BTC ready. It will take ALL of us to do this!! The super community are good people. We CAN do this!!!  Not only will you buy cheap super along the way , but it will stablize the price back to 2000 sat. If you want out, that fine, sell slowly , and in smaller amounts across a few days or if we all dump, we all fall. Lets complie a list of users and set an exact date and time. If we wait much longer , were dead. Do NOT look to the devs, they have made it clear, we are on our own. Frankly I like the fact the devs have given away control to the community , and allowing us to choose the direction of this coin. The devs gave up the wheel to us, they are gone now, if we dont take the wheel and get it back under control , its gonna crash worse.  If we stay true to each other and buy loads at cheap prices , we can make more than we even started with!!! The answer is in US.

Vegas

Whatsup fullofgasguy a.k.a. "vegas"? Not happy reaping what you have sown?

This price crash is directly attributable to you, not the dev team.

You incorrectly thought claimed you'd been "robbed" of staked coin interest at the fork. You wouldn't listen or couldn't understand when it was explained to you that you hadn't lost coin age and would end up with exactly the same net interest over time. You threw a major tantrum claiming the dev team "owed you 27K" as I recall. You deliberately began a campaign to destroy the coin's value by constantly downselling. You've been constantly white-anting the dev team and stirring dissent making ridiculous demands.

You and everyone else bought into this coin under a set of conditions:

  • The devs were not identifying themselves - a non-issue since they have proven themselves over time delivering a really good coin and constantly improving it.
  • There was no ICO so, like every other coin at the time it was simply mine at your risk and buy or don't as is.
  • The code was not being made open source for the foreseeable future to prevent copy-paste clones diluting Super's market value.
  • It is not and never has been the devs' function to improve your holding's value, they develop the coin - for free basically, save for donations.
  • This is not a public company and you are not a shareholder. You have no "rights" and have no say in what the devs do, how, why or when.

Now, if the world worked the way you want it to work for you vegasguy, YOU owe all SuperCoin holders for the loss of value you caused. There's actually a much stronger case for this than your ridiculous claims of the devs owing you.

I really hope you have learned from this but somehow I doubt it. Frankly you appear to be a case of an empty head making the most noise.

Everyone else who dogpiled on to the same silly claims of "needed identity" and "code revue" had a hand in wrecking market confidence too.

For those of you looking for "someone to blame" read back over vegasguy's posts and see what he has done for you and SuperCoin.

Remember that you chose to acquire this coin by mining or purchase and with that acquisition comes just one right, the right to decide whether to hold or sell. Under no circumstance does it mean the devs work for you.

I hope the dev team are very forgiving and choose to continue with this coin but who could blame them for saying the abuse just isn't worth it?
512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Blockade [CADE] [1% PoS] [Decentralized DDoS Protection] on: September 14, 2014, 01:32:30 PM

If i remember correctly you put in big bold red letters ''I WILL NOT DO A POD''. Yet you will give ''Identity verification (preferably through a scan of a government issued ID) is required for all users wishing to create an ICO.''

HmmmHmmm

Why is this ?, what is the difference ?, is Poloniex easier to fool ?.

Probably for the same reason I verify my identity for my Cryptsy account but use a pseudonym online. That one is not red flag material from my perspective.

With all due respect to cryptoasian his pods mean exactly jack to me. An exchange verifying some form of government documentation is at least a start. I would prefer something along the line of Australian financial institution requirements (you need to show 100 points worth of ID to open bank accounts, etc., which can take some doing if you don't have original birth certificates and a passport). That's verified identification and PODs are categorically not.

I'm a nervous investor too but please let us not get distracted by such nonsense as certified by cryptoasian chat. That is a total non-issue for me.

5 BFW Rating

Big Fucking Warning.

Agreed. The dev is taking on a HUGE project. It's practically the definition of "high risk investment" but this is the altcoin market and there are no "safe" investments really. As always, never risk what you can't afford to lose. Personally I wouldn't be in it if I hadn't seen Somekindabitcoin in chat boxes and forums over time. If he's a scam artist he's spent a long time cultivating this persona. He didn't make any attempt to pump DosCoin's price at all, which is really a poor effort for a scam developer. I guess it's possible that he threw away one potential scam to set everyone up for a larger sting (and BTC1800 is an audacious sting if that is his intent) but it hasn't felt that way to me. That and a controlled release escrow through Poloniex works for me.
514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Blockade [CADE] [1% PoS] [Decentralized DDoS Protection] on: September 14, 2014, 01:28:26 AM
can't wait to dump my shitty ass DOS coins

Be that as it may, such statements hardly encourage the developer to greater efforts, do they?

You didn't buy DosCoin because you think altcoin mining pools in particular and the 'net generally could use more/imaginative DDoS defences? Fair enough, then you bought as a speculator hoping for an increase in value. Give that some thought for a moment.

Imagine you are selling... lawnmowers. Does your advertising read:
"I can't wait to dump my shitty ass lawnmowers"?

Do you think your sales return might improve with:
"I have the Rolls Royce of lawnmowers. I believe it can cut grass like nothing else on the market but if you want one it'll cost you a premium"?

Just a thought.

Just curious, my DoS wallet is showing offline. How do we get the coins to an exchange for the swap?

How do you mean offline?

Not connected to network or not staking?

My (Mac) wallet shows 6 connections to the network atm and is staking.

I'm showing 0 connections, it was online last week. I'm on windows, wallet version 2.0.0
the same problem as me

Try these nodes:

46.165.209.144
104.131.231.201
47.17.84.135
192.227.144.3
192.155.89.136
178.62.35.134

They are the ones I'm connected to according to getpeerinfo

The sequence is IPO and in the middle of the IPO, the exchange of DosCoin and Blockade.

I'm in talks with Poloniex on that part of the trade with DosCoin

Fair enough.

Perhaps help stir a little more interest in Blockade by time limiting the DosCoin exchange.

Say, DosCoin holders, you only have until October 15th to convert to the new and improved Blockade, son of DosCoin, yada yada....

What do people think?
519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Blockade [CADE] [1% PoS] [Decentralized DDoS Protection] on: September 12, 2014, 08:07:15 AM
If I can get the IPO to start on Poloniex, I will start it tomorrow. You guys okay with that? If you are, the entire 18,000,000 IPO coins are going on there. Poloniex gives me the money in small payments and not all at once.

If the coins are immediately released does that mean we can immediately exchange DosCoin for Blockade?
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Blockade [CADE] [1% PoS] [Decentralized DDoS Protection] on: September 12, 2014, 08:04:46 AM
I'll try the Poloniex way. I was recommended to them by another member. They release the funds slowly.

Okay. For those of us not familiar with "the Poloniex way" could you expound a little on that please?

What is the proposed sequence of events at this time?

Will the IPO be held first in toto and then all DosCoin exchanged in a single tranche transaction, is that where we are at the moment?

Or have I misread the evolution of this thread?

I'm afraid I need things spelled out, maybe due to living upside down as we Aussies do Wink

Edit: Okay, partly answered while I was typing Smiley
