501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The next crypto to explode - Sentivate on: October 05, 2020, 11:46:38 PM
I still hodl more than 50k SNTVT but the Kucoin listing has killed its potential. You can check their Ann thread and the ongoing roadmap is still actual. The exchange listing part has been done but the maintenance part is delayed. There is a huge potential if the SNTVT team can achieve the decentralized web idea but it will take years to make x50. Let's be realistic and take the facts straight, otherwise, we fool ourselves in the speculative discussion.

You're being practical with how you look at this project. I like that.
I have heard this project but not to the point that I invested on it.
If the team is realizing their items according to their roadmap, then that's very positive.
But I believe, getting x50 is not realistic also. Unless, the team will resort to pump, which I think will not.
As I mentioned before it is all pure speculation and there is no fundamental reason to believe X coin price will soar x50 during a 6 months. Reading the opinions of other members gives an idea about concrete nonsense, so I prefer to invest based on my future vision and experience. Pump and dump altcoins are temporary, so it is better to focus on the promising projects. I will buy more SNTVT and there will be another series of good news according to the roadmap.
502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling License on: October 05, 2020, 11:22:35 PM
snip..
It's simply that the license listed will calm the concerns of gamblers because what is needed by gamblers is a sense of comfort so that when gambling they are not afraid of their funds taken away.  I have no problem with where the gambling site's license comes from, as long as they list their license it makes me feel safe (despite all the bad possibilities that could happen in the future)..

License coming from Curacao or UK or Malta will give you comfort as it means they are serious in putting up their gambling site. But for new casinos, it is ok for me that they don't have their gambling license yet but you need to be careful in depositing large amounts of money. If you want to play with them, try with small amounts. There are so many casinos that are substandard and also look for feedback or their trust summary, if they have account here. It will help you assess if the casino is worth playing with.
The license from the UK has other disadvantages too, for example, remember the Epayments case. Epayments was not a gambling platform, and the transfers from/to gambling websites were strictly prohibited due to the UK license requirements but this company has been closed since April. Who guarantees a similar situation will not happen for gambling platforms too?
503  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do they use our computers for CPU mining? on: October 05, 2020, 10:58:20 PM
For a clear answer, we need to check the system resource sharing between open programs. Maybe the Chrome extensions consume high CPU and these extensions are directly linked with mentioned gambling websites. It is hard to say something without the proper analysis, but I am sure Wolf.bet will never use the user's computer for coin mining. By the way, you can use various software for cleaning the registry of Windows(or other OS), I recommend Auslogicv Boostspeed which I use it for weekly cleaning.
504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question: Is there any websites where I can gamble crypto under 18? on: October 05, 2020, 10:29:00 PM
You should go back to normal life and avoid gambling, the age requirement is there for a reason. Rational thinking is necessary to avoid gambling websites, the addiction problem is very common among young people. If you want to play the slots or card games for fun, go to play demo versions of the casino games. Simply searching on search engines will help you to find the demo games. This is true for the winners who made a nice return on the balance after plying the slot in specific provider, choosing the demo version of the same slot will not let the gambler to lose the winnings one more time.
505  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DEX : How to survive token price on launching on: October 05, 2020, 09:07:01 PM
The only way to prevent the price of dumping is to intervene by the team or DEX side. DEX team can't ask from the seller to put higher limit order or ask from buyers to increase demand for a specific time, there will be always price advantage lookers who will not ignore the profit with speculative orders.

507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram is trash on: October 05, 2020, 08:38:17 PM
telegram has a lot of features and one can easily use the telegram channel to commit fraud. Not surprisingly, I often encounter several types of fake airdrop bots, high giveaway offers, fake members and many other negative things. I'm not saying that telegram is trash, it's just that telegram is a hotbed of fraud.

Telegram has the haters, and these are mostly people, who were unhappy to meet scammers there. These things happen a lot (on YouTube, WhatsApp, Instagram). The presence of several dishonest people (or even groups) will not affect my attitude towards Telegram. A bunch of crypto traders can communicate easily there and share info.
Telegram is a very important social media tool for third world countries, look at Russia and Belarus. The mentioned countries have blocked all access to social media and VPN ports have been disabled during the political aggression by governments. Russia alone has banned more than 1 million IP addresses but Telegram was the only messenger that worked flawlessly. Using the proxy and sharing the proxy address lists(MtProxy Telegram groups) combines the security + influence power of social media together, of course, this is just only technical side.
508  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain.com Accounts Hacked in july on: October 05, 2020, 08:00:04 PM
Blockchain.com is known for common bugs but if there's a hack that happened, there's no report or news about it. Those people probably have experienced the bug.
But if it's not the bug, they probably were a victim of phishing for blockchain.com. It's very common that wallet is always the subject by those phishing website makers.

I have not experienced that issues in my blockchain.com account, but blockchain.com is a very popular target of phishing emails I have seen a lot of it coming to my email, but one thing that's interesting to take note is there is an email verification before you can log in to your account and it's an email to approve one's IP, I have to agree with the majority here it's always best to store your coin on a wallet that you own a coin or better a desktop wallet.
AFAIK, there is a 2FA reset function on blockchain wallets. I have forgotten one of the blockchain wallet passwords and 2FA, later send an email for explaining the situation and the support team asked some questions before deleting the 2FA from the old account. Social engineering improved a lot since 2017 and the inexperienced users can easily fall to these traps. If the hacker has remote access to the PC, it is easy to repeat the same steps and recover the wallet intentionally. Anyway, web wallets are vulnerable to attacks and should be avoided for holding large amounts.

Looks interesting and horrifying at the same time, losing huge amounts can lead to suicide if the person is not mentally strong. The only name that dug in my mind regarding the losses in the gambling industry is Ashley Revell who has made a bet with his whole life savings on one roulette spin. For those who are interested in the final result, you can check this video: http://y2u.be/zGCdBsOIKYA In my opinion, this madness should be banned and everyone who bets huge amounts have provide the source of funds. Sorry if this guy has been mentioned before on the thread but I didn't find his name on the list of OP.

Napoli set to be handed 3-0 loss for failing to show at Juve

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/54408861
Quote
Under Serie A rules, Juventus would be handed a 3-0 win for Sunday's match.

Since this game did not happen, it could be postpone or cancelled, how would it affect the scoring in the competition if for instance will be postponed and will be played after a week?

Or if they'll score it 3-0, then we will know the total score.

According to the ruling, canceled or postponed events do not affect the competition

Events may be postponed or canceled -  You are allowed to edit your prediction until the 15-minute deadline.

In this case we assume 0 goals for that game.

Congrats to the winner! Not bad amount, at least you have changed the prize for the next rounds. It was the first time I have tried BetBtc and the overall impression is good. The site layout and user interface looks simple, straightforward. I have two questions regarding the withdrawals and the bet selections? I wasn't able to find the total goals for team 1 or 2, only total goals in the match were open on all checked games. For withdrawals, there are 3 options, what are the differences?
514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trying to invest in Binance on: October 04, 2020, 11:32:36 PM
I know a few Millenials who work in McDonald's have invested in Link monthly $100 but they don't have an idea why they have chosen the Link for long-term investment. Maybe you can explain why you have chosen the mentioned altcoins? Monthly $30 is not bad but you should increase the stake before the bull market if the person lives with only from paycheck to paycheck. Sadly not everyone has the same investment capacity, these guys should feel lucky as a young people. Binance should be the last point in this case and buying from DEX-swap will be more appropriate because Binance listed altcoins are heavily speculative or overpriced.
515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a high roller? on: October 04, 2020, 11:14:02 PM
There are many penny slots that can be played with as little as $0.1. For example, 1429 Uncharted Seas from Thunderkick provider has the lowest limits I have ever seen, some slots even have $0.05 minimum amount requirement per spin. My favorite slot is Back to Venus from Betsoft but the minimum stake amount is around $0.2, so when I win in other slots I head to Betsoft games for having fun. Play'n GO has the high limits except the slot called Rise of Merlin which has a $0.1 spin feature.

517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KUCOIN Hacked on: October 04, 2020, 10:26:29 PM
It is bad for crypto that after every year one exchange got hacked. Exchange should think so. I think hacking is a big hurdle for popularizing crypto. Along with It is good that exchange got recovered immediately and have some special funds for users.
AFAIK, the insurance has covered the total loss and the Kucoin administration has frozen all financial operations right after the incident. The social media was full of supporters from different well-known project teams, so the hacker was not able to spend the rest of the funds due to the new contract address. The phishing link must be prepared professionally, otherwise, it is impossible to be trick the poor team member of Kucoin exchange. Anyway, no one has been hurt seriously in this event except the mental side.
518  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is Building A Massive Head And Shoulder Formation! on: October 04, 2020, 09:54:35 PM
It is super confusing for inexperienced traders but summarizing the total data lets us view the main picture. It is easy to detect the pattern after it happens, the mastered traders try their hard to predict before the last part of formation happens if you know what I mean. Breaking the neckline will cause more pressure on buyers and this pressure will be the reason for a fake breakout which will hunt all stops of sellers. Just my 2 cents.

The professional traders or master traders usually depend on previous chart happenings to determine the next direction of market. This is the way chart analysis go. You are saying what it is like and I follow such. Analysis should predict what next before it happens.
That is why the lag kills the probability but at the same time history repeats itself in crypto markets, this is called seasonal cycles. Looking at the left side of ABCD(in this example AB wave) pattern and predicting the B dip point is ok but this pattern can be a "butterfly pattern" too. So professional traders put the buy limit order next to B and the rest will be done by market price discovery. It is always better to check the historical support-resistance lines before trading the prediction because patterns react quickly at these price levels.
