Hi guys!
How to partecipate to this lottery?
Need to registering somewhere?

Thank you very much.
Hi, to be part of the draw all we ask is that you mine MonetaryUnit on one of the pools.
Our ANN is here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=778322.0
502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / www.TheMinersLottery.com - The "Size DOESN'T matter" miners lottery, BTC prizes! on: October 25, 2014, 10:09:55 PM
As miners, we all know of the diminishing rewards and ever extending ROI periods.

Big corporate mining centralisation is occurring around us.
Difficulties are sky rocketing.
Power prices are on the rise.
We’re being squeezed from all angles.
Mining is just becoming less fun.

Well, it’s time to turn that frown upside down and start putting the fun back into mining.

TheMinersLottery.com will choose three lucky MonetaryUnit miners every week.
These will be selected at random, from the list of current miners on the $MUE mining pools, without warning, at a non-specific time, on an un-advertised day. (Sneaky!)

Each lucky miner will receive a BTC AND MUE reward as a thank you for being involved.
It doesn’t matter what your hash rate.
This isn’t about the hash rate arms race, this is about being involved.

So whether you’re rocking a 7 card GPU monster, or you’re single threading, in this game, EVERYONE is equal.
Me, U, Everybody!!

1st place – 0.04BTC AND 30,000MUE
2nd place – 0.02BTC AND 15,000MUE
3rd place – 0.01BTC AND 5,000MUE

You could help MUE and use half your winnings to buy MUE from any of these exchanges:
Exchanges

To get involved
1) Download MonetaryUnit wallet - http://www.monetaryunit.org/downloads/
2) Install mining software - http://www.monetaryunit.org/muestuff/how-to-use-and-set-up-cpuminer/
3) Mine to a MonetaryUnit mining pool. MUEpool.com 1% fee or goldmin.es 2% fee
4) Wait and see when the lottery draw results are announced on www.MinersLottery.com & www.Twitter.com/MonetaryUnit

No minimum hash rate required.
This makes ALL miners equal in the eyes of the Lottery.
No requirement to mine permanently, though your chances are reduced if you don't.
Please note if you do not claim your winnings, they do not roll over, so please contact us for your winnings BEFORE the next draw.

We just want to make mining more fun again Smiley

LOYAL MINERS REWARD

  • For those miners that have been with MonetaryUnit the longest.
  • Through those arduous low block rewards.
  • Who persevered and stuck with us, even though they had been stung so many times by previous scams and frauds.
  • Even though we had a significant pre-mine.
  • Even though we were "just another shitcoin"....

Well, I  think it is time to reward your loyalty and support.

All miners who mined MonetaryUnit before block 120000 (i.e. 18th September) you are all eligible for the Loyal Miners Reward.

We will deposit 100,000 MUE or double your wallet balance (whichever is the lesser) to your wallet address used pre-block 120000.

To explain the thinking behind this, firstly, it rewards all early miners, and secondly it rewards the most supportive miners even more.
I think this is fair.

Please ONLY PM your details.

DO NOT POST ANY DETAILS IN THIS THREAD otherwise it may be deemed an in-thread giveaway and possibly get you banned.

Only ONE claim per person please.
This isn't an offer to be abused please, otherwise it will be withdrawn.
This offer closes 14 days from now (7th November).

Brand new Linux Scripts for MUE monetaryunit !
QuarkMining on cloud-VPS and on RaspberryPi

MUE asked me to create this for you, so here you go:
  • compile, build & install quarkminers: Neisklar, uncle-bob, palmd
  • run miner in its own screen so that you can log off, with cpulimit and nicelevel

My scripts are
  • tested on DigitalOcean 5$ droplets ( http://tiny.cc/digocean - thx for clickthrough )
  • tested on RaspberryPi
  • well commented, so you can learn a lot of what is going on
  • very easy to use

Please try them out & give me feedback.

monetaryunitcoin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=778322.0

Heritage: direct fork from quark/coingenerator

Problems:

* MAJOR: The premine, though disclosed is extremely large and will be more than the network itself mints for months if not years

Original thread with launch details was apparently deleted(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=721398.0) so not really possible to determine any undisclosed premine with certainty. Judging from the difficulty and timestamps though, it looks like only 1 extra block was premined

Notes:

genesis seed is not a news event, but with the age of the coin, this is not a real issue

good checkpointed premine

Watermarks: uint64, pow
Good to have a trusted independent 3rd party review of the code.
Thanks for that earlz.
Original post was deleted as I included an in thread giveaway (first and only ANN, noob mistake!)

515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Giveaway threads are not allowed on: October 21, 2014, 11:11:35 AM
Do I understand correctly. Giveaways are not allowed, but raffles are allowed?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=623884.msg8998577#msg8998577

Or Giveaways are allowed; if you charge a small amount?

Having made the mistake before, I just wanted to check what I am planning to do, will not result in a deleted thread, account ban etc

I am thinking of offering a "Miners lottery" once per week whereby miners using our NOMP pool will be selected at random, once per week (no specific day), and there will be a coin give-away to that one randomly selected miners wallet.

Is this allowed? (I don't "think" I am breaking any forum rules).
If so, what section should I post it in?  alt>Announcements, alt>mining

Can you please confirm?

Many thanks

Hi Cryptex, thanks again for your willingness for discussion in this open forum.

Could you please give us an idea of how you would potentially roll out the give away of the 50% of the MonetaryUnit?
Would this potentially be 3000 MUE to 1000 users, or 30,000 to 100 users, or 300 to 10,000 users...can you give us an idea please of quantity and timescale?

Many thanks

Mue

Well its up to you really, i was thinking like 100 per user, per day
I think that is pitched at the perfect level

An independent 3rd party block explorer has been purchased and is currently live (though data still propagating)

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/mue/

great! good choice to buy a block explorer with rich list, this gives confidence.

Yep, I thought it was the right thing to do for openness and transparency..plus it's also really interesting!

While I think a small user give a way (100 mue per user, per day) should be ok @the current diff, I'm not that happy with 3.000.000 buck's for cryptex. That's a quite large slice of the cake. Not for this exchange, not for their small volume - is my personal feeling about this.
I think it is a reasonable sacrifice to help the coin on it's journey.  Plus, while cryptex might not have the volume of the biggest exchanges, we could also be part of helping to grow the exchange, which in turn benefits us again.

Hey pimps,

We were submitted MUE to Cryptex, which normally is free to be listed if voted in, but since there a large premine, and a seemingly small (but confident) community.   I purposed that we will add it to the exchange, only if we are paid 15% of the premine, of which half will be given away to users, and the other half used to maintain volume on the markets sell orders (not all at the same time ofcorse).

The giveaways, allow every Cryptex member to collect free coins everyday. Currently we have 20 coins on offer. including popular ones like WSX, LOT, RED, NET and others, and the amounts range from 1 to 1000. Although many are donated by users themselves, the rest are either purchased by us, or given to us by the developers.

Cryptex may not have the volume of Cryptsy, but it will give your coin a Value, and allow to be listed on Coinmarketcap etc.

This one is a little risky, Because I want Cryptex members to be confident that there investments are safe for long term trading and we do not want to be going the route of frequently delisting coins, and only listing the latest fads. But at the same time we have limited spaces, and many submissions.

So anyway after discussions with the developer, he suggested I post my proposal here, and let MUE holders decide whether or not 15% should be spent this way

If you want MUE on Cryptex or not, just say YES, or NO

I'm going to post this on both forums as I think it is fair. Having it on an exchange would be nice but considering I have mined from almost day one and have accumulated about 50 k coins give or take a few thousand. The weeks it took to get to 1000 was painful etc etc. Giving away 6 mil coin to an exchange to hand out to the users is nice but however I would like to know how many they are planning on handing out. If they give each user 10 k that is a month of mining for myself and several other people who stuck with this coin from moment 1. I feel that is a bit unfair. Personally I only sell about 20 % of the coins I have mined and the rest goes into storage for whatever the coins future may hold.

This has worked out well for me at times and it's also slightly depressing when I look at the 600 plus wallet.dat files sitting in storage with no nodes.No-one knows the future, they might be reborn and become useful or they could stay the same data filling space takers. But I digress. I would vote yes but on the hope that the exchange holds off the giveaway and volume maintenance for 2 weeks just to see where the coin will go. I would like the coin I have mined for ages to stand on it's own 2 feet however I feel it might crash if more than what has been painfully mined is given away.

Just my 2 cents...

There is no incentive to mine this coin and those that have mined at these extremely low rewards are holding such a small percentage of the coins in circulation that their coins will not have any value.

Too many coins are being given away.  Giving away six times the amount of coins that have been mined to get listed on an exchange is ridiculous.  It dilutes any possible value and removes any possible incentive to mine this coin.  Why would anyone mine this coin for such low rewards when so many are being given away?

The best thing to do would be to stop giving away so many coins, burn a significant amount of the premine, and hardfork to increase the block rewards immediately.

I've had an old Nvidia box mining for awhile now but I'll switch that to something else because mining this coin is a complete waste of time.
See above post, I will make sure all miners are looked after.
The fact remains, you have been mining this coin whilst it has "nil" value, and moving forward, we should look at giving it "some" value, so even more incentive to mine.
Bring that old Nvidia box back to MUE, and continue the discussion Wink
