501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: March 07, 2024, 09:34:49 PM
I bet if Mike Tyson will be able to beat Jake down right now because his quite old and perhaps he could do it because he has a lot of experience and skills but I'm skeptical about that.

According to one of my old friend he said Mike is living under an old glory which I find that statement to be true.
His probably trying to keep his reputation if not for me his career should be done by now.
502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in healthcare on: March 07, 2024, 09:28:07 PM
Perhaps it would have been better but based on my perception about health issues every of the benefit you have mentioned is quite the opposite of it. that is specifically for me I don't know how others will see it.

Because for data security, just as it has been said above it's quite impossible to keep patient datas private because in the Blockchain network I will be open for every one to access and as such it can be a sucided decision store health information in public. e.g if I'm a HIV patient with the stereotype in my place and one eventually come across my data, it will just be over for me because everyone will probably run from me.
503  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto news sources on: March 07, 2024, 09:10:34 PM
You can check the all the listed/mentioned channels or websites that offer crypto news it's more better than going to social media to get information, or you can even still to the forum because every now and then Informations are updated frequently.

Here is my reason why I said you should go to social media for information because most times the informations are false and they easily get spread before verifications. but for this websites mentioned above they take proper confirmation before uploading on the sites so most times or all the informations are quite legit.
504  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigerian lawmakers raise concern on crackdown on cryptocurrency platforms on: March 07, 2024, 08:57:42 PM
We all know that this leaders are not philosophers, philosophers in the sense of decision making and perhaps it's said that philosophers makes good leader hence it's true.

From my perspective Nigerian government is practically going back or trying to maintain a past life that we have over come, which is copying every steps the US takes, since they probably almost succeeded with the case with binance, over government is also wanting to make such profit from the Binance company because they believe there are lots of funds in that platform.

If watched closely, other peer-to-peer (P2P) platform are not being recognized in this act but binance particularly is there focus. Just for them to maintain an opportunist country reputation, thereby risking the future of the country and reputation because of their selfish aims. old men that might die in less than no time wants to reap the country before the go off the earth but for me I'm very much convinced that this is just a main time trend it will soon be over and another trend will be out just to keep us busy till the loot enough funds in the 8 years.
505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many times we will make the same mistake? - History repeats Again & Again! on: March 07, 2024, 08:45:42 PM
Gold has the lowest amount possible out of all three in your comparison but easy to fake.
Real Estate has the highest amount possible out of all three and will always grow with a steady growth, someone always wants to buy and its getting fewer and fewer.
Bitcoin has the medium amount possible out of all three but you can't and assume the next 15 yrs growth because of the last 15 yrs.

You are correct that past performance does not guarantee future results, yet you still have to decide how you are going to allocate any investment that you are going to make, including if you happen to be a no coiner and you decide to stay a no coiner. that is a decision, and so good  luck if you choose to stay on zero when it comes to bitcoin when the most likely better conclusion would be to figure out what your target accumulation level should be, perhaps somewhere between 5% and 25% would be a good start, but hey if you prefer to stay on zero, that's surely your right to make that decision for yourself and your own financial circumstances.
Perhaps every individual has the right to make his or her choice but i would prefer people who are becoming enlighten in Bitcoin to embrace the opportunity that a paradigm (Bitcoin ) has offered them than to remain a crack head believing whatsoever seems right in there eyes.

With the current and past even that has happen in Bitcoin one should know and understand that Bitcoin is ever going to perform its best in every circle. But if one is personally convinced to remain a no coiner then, he or she should probably be prepared to accept its consequences because I wouldn't like to get a regret news at some point.
506  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I need honest advise concerning this. on: March 07, 2024, 07:37:32 AM
A simple way to understand how you can earn merit is, taking a good look at posts that got merited, what kind of information did the person pass that made him or her get merits. Its that simple if you understand the quality of information that made people merit, then you will start learning towards such quality post so you too can get merit.

But sometimes it's not all about merit, you should crack your brain and see what you can really do, or instead of discussion regularly issues like your previous post you can just focus on learning how Bitcoin works and after learning once a topic is raised concerning that you will be able to speak sense into the conversation, hence if merit worth you will get one at least.

I'm also a newbie like you but luckily I'm ranked up in merit but it doesn't mean I know anything but this is just a simple way I found my way out without too much questions, I believe it could also work for you.
507  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Reason why the rich always get richer on: March 06, 2024, 11:26:20 PM
For me I don't see getting rich as being successful in life, I don't know about others perception of rich or success but this mine.
For sure get rich isn't an overnight deal, or should I say one can't get rich over night you have to put in some work to be successful.

investment is one wonderful effort that most rich people have made and I admire that, if you want to be rich you don't have to depend you your salary job and expect to become rich with your saving at bank, for everything must grow your savings that is kept constant and stagnant your account needs to be put where it will yield some good fruit, even from the stories of the holy bible the people where give some coin to hold, the one who use his own to do business became the richest among them because he was thoughtful enough to make his own profit from the little he had.

its applicable to life you must be doing something that you have to multiple before you can become lucky enough to be successful.
508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indirect victims of gambling addiction on: March 06, 2024, 11:12:33 PM
Of course, there are many indirect victims of gambling addiction. Can you add more?
There is a psychology that says, there people who depends on your success to succeed in life.

This statement applies to gambling addiction, if one becomes addicted to gambling to the extent that he or she couldn't make a living, it's certain that at people whom if he was successful would have become successful too through him may not be successful any more psychologically but it can also be falsifiable.

Imagine that of you make it in life and open a company, and you have 1000 workers depending on the salary you pay them just, imagine that you failed to be successful because of gambling addiction you have indirectly caused a 1000 people to be jobless at some point and at the same time some of the can even become poor and broke forever because you failed go do right by yourself. its just a little truth.
509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Pattern that 99.9% Leads to Bankruptcy: High Rolling on Slots! on: March 06, 2024, 10:16:14 PM
Everyone knows that is greed that drives such gamblers to lose to the extent of selling out properties in order to either continue or pay the remaining debts.

The kind of greed that leads to this bankruptcy is quiet different from a normal greed, I believe there is a cause to everything, in the causality theory something has triggered the gamblers to want the x100 -x1000 on slots because if you ask them about if they know that gambling is risky they will say yes, so they know that they might lose every dime if they continue but they will still continue it's because they have a particular cause to the desire to be rich over night. They do play this slot games with the intention of wanting to prove to themselves or someone that they aren't what people see them to be, speaking from experience because I have lost in gambling because of this same reason but the difference between me and the guys on YouTube it that I don't own any property or I'm still dependant on my parents so when I lose I will quit because I'm out of funds. although I did beg just to go back and continue to prove to myself that I can be rich yet it failed. so this is the same type of greed that has gotten the YouTube guys to there present condition.
510  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto survey: your chance to improve the work of cryptocurrency exchangers! on: March 06, 2024, 09:53:34 PM

1) What do you like about the work of cryptocurrency exchangers?
The major thing I like about exchanges is the fact that I can swap a cryptocurrency to my local fiat with less stress whether of the centralized exchanges or decentralized, the only offer me the services of trading Bitcoin and Altcoins with less stress.

2) What do you dislike about cryptocurrency exchangers?
For centralized exchanges I hate the fact that I have to provide my national identity, almost all my credentials to access one fucked up exchange that might likely trade my details in the dark web exposing people to risk.

For decentralized exchanges, I only do not like the fact that the exchange rates are very low compared to current exchange rates.

3) What features or services would you like to see in cryptocurrency exchangers?
I would love to create an account with an exchange ( I wouldn't call an exchange a wallet) without stress of identification, and I would love the accounts to be more safer to store at least the few coins I might be wanting to spend any time soon so that I can leave them there.

4) You have a choice of where to exchange currency and you can do it in different exchangers. What criteria for choosing an exchanger do you use?
An exchange with higher exchange rate to my local fiat, an exchange that wouldn't require any KYC to create any account, Low transaction fees etc
511  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Use your opportunity wisely. on: March 06, 2024, 09:31:54 PM
I would have said that sometimes it's very important for employers to learn how to speak to there workers. some time ago I have heard of people complaining how they have been treated as slaves to there employers, and I have come to find out that most are truths because I witnessed same event with some people recently, and into employees should also try to accept things politely hence issues of employers harassing employees would reduces.

Back to your story, its unfortunate that some people are just ingrates, they sometimes cause people to have misfortune because pf there stupid acts. with the experience your employer has gotten from your friend psychologically he or she might not be able to employ others based on experience, thereby your friend has become a difficulty to others.

Its said that opportunities comes but once and at this your friend ahs missed another opportunity because of his wrong did. there is no advise that will be give to an adult that will have an impact on them except they have accepted in their hearts to change so you would be able to advise your friend and he will accept it, just do your best for him and let him do his part for his life because every body has his or her own goal to reach.

I told him that it is January and there is vacancy he should go and plead again he went and he was employed but he went back and stole two months after he was employed and he was given the highest salary among all new workers as a person who already knew the work operation.
I can't understand this clearly can you please expansiate a little more.

What you said is absolutely true cause I’m a example of it, setting goals and failure to start chasing them it’s either I make and excuse for it which I noticed is aiding many people success. Now It would be better you pointed out steps or tips in other to stop or avoid procrastinating.
Now I’ll give some easy steps or tips on how to to avoid or stop procrastinating
1. ADMIT THAT YOU’RE PROCRASTINATING
2. PICK A GOOD STUDY LOCATION
3. ELIMINATE DISTRACTIONS
4. SET GOALS YOU CAN REACH
5. WORK WITH A STUDY GROUP
6. REWARD YOURSELF
7. TAKE A BREAK
8. HOLD YOURSELF ACCOUNTABLE
I had to read through this thread ones again but this you wrote was maybe derived some where as an educational approach to success not life in general.

What we are talking about obviously contains every aspect of life but yours is specifically talking about education although it's a good step to stop procrastination but you should have relate it to every other issues of life success.

Well, from my perspective if one use this steps you arranged for educational success is it could also be used to succeed in life too because they all relates.
516  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Common misconceptions about cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) on: March 03, 2024, 10:41:57 AM
Sorry to say this, I don't really understand why newbies like to teach when they should be learning this is one big mistake I never did. instead of saying things and then it will turn out that I was very wrong I will rather remain silent and learn the basics before trying to contribute.

I suggest you should also consider that.
From your perception your absolutely correct with your led down misconception about Bitcoin and the cryptocurrencies (including shitcoins) at large but believe me as time goes on you will then to find out that you where wrong in some point. Although you're making good points too but for me I think it's not time to teach rather you should spend more of you time visiting the learnmeabitcoin.com website https://learnmeabitcoin.com/ to have background knowledge of Bitcoin including the technical related knowledge of Bitcoin.

Maybe because they also want to get fast merit for their thread created? Usually they do this just because they think that there are so many people will give a merit to a thread created. But they forget to know that they should be more informative and also the words they posted is accurate so that people will not get confused on what they are trying to write here. Its good that there are people correct him regarding on misconceptions in mind and for sure he learn something from the thread he created.

Newbie should learn first before they try to teach other so that they can share more valuable information and not those misleading one.

When I said the above I knew what it meant for someone to share valuable informations in the forum, even if one want to grab merits it's better done in a way that its worth meriting not just teaching without clue of what you're really teaching or maybe you read some article and decided to reframe and post forgetting that the forum has lasted over decades and almost all the articles where inspired from good/quality informations in the forum.

So I just decided to let the OP know about this in order to up his game before he would post again but i mean harm or I wasn't tryna criticize him but some people like the below took it as an attack.

Mate quite saying shit, just because you've got a full member account doesn't mean you know shit even tho it's a sign you've been here long enough, I hate seeing post like this, instead of saying this rubbish actually contribute if you claim to know than been a critic, he is a newbie doesn't mean he doesn't know anything, if there is something wrong with the post show seniority by correcting.

I decide to over look such response because I was confident of what I was saying. This kind of people are the people who go to meta to scream that other high ranked members attacks them or bully them, I once discussed such thing with pmalek and he made so many corrections yet this members don't really get the information.

I think one big force that drives this kind of response is the fact that I'm also a newbie in the crypto space like him, well to teamsherry I'm not in position to argue with you because I believe I'm one of the youngest people in this forum with age, so you might be far older than I am, so I can't argue with an elder.
517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DID you get portal airdrop? on: March 03, 2024, 09:11:34 AM
This is my very first time of hearing about this airdrop, and I can see that many made profits from doing social media tasks it's quit interesting though.

Maybe this because I have been out of the social media (x) for some time now, based on my health issues. I would have love to be part of this huge airdrops, I keep asking like ho do you guys airdrop hunters know about this airdrops, it quiet amazing.
518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you still Invest in the potential heartbreakingly AltCoins? on: March 03, 2024, 09:03:00 AM
The truth is in the altcoins you are probably going to meet a coin that can reward you massively, that's one major reason people invest in them but the difference is that we only invest (gamble) with what we can afford to lose, so at that we don't long bother whether it works or not but at least out of 10 Altcoins one should at least cover the expenses of the rest and so on.

But mind you, give financial advise is not my thing because if the person fails in anyway it turns out that you will be blamed for that and can even brake relationships so I don't attempt.
519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Acquired knowledge from cryptocurrency indulgence on: March 03, 2024, 08:56:29 AM
There are many projects in crypto not all projects work in the same way and there are many fraud traps, so investors need to proceed with caution. Bitcoin is one of the best projects in crypto. There is no rigging in it and holding the investor for the right time creates opportunities for every investor. No risk for new investors both will earn good profit from here. Bitcoin is the best project I have ever seen.
Bitcoin is a paradigm itself that brought about every other coin, and it has proven itself several times so I don't longer consider it as a project to be mentioned in this kind of situation.

Maybe we can talk of Ethereum as an altcoin that has also done very well after Bitcoin, I think it's best fit for example here in the altcoin discussion.

Yes it's true that with the current rate of pump and dump coins in the crypto space has made alot of investors to be more cautious when gambling with their money in the cryptocurrencies.
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your expectations on ICE Network in the future? on: March 03, 2024, 08:41:58 AM
I find it quite interesting seeing ICE Network trend on Twitter for several days. This is good for a new token even though we know they still have a long way to go. But I feel it could be as good as Pi Network that have made the early miners gain some good cash especially those who are able to sell early.

Edited out
Obviously it is a hyped project and such hypes is good for altcoins. I do not know how it will end but there is no need to panic. It was gotten free so no one will cry of being scammed or cheated when if the hype fails to lead to the expected profits. Those who will be able to sell very fast will still make some money because with this hype, there is no way ICE will not be listed in exchanges. I don't follow their development so I cannot tell how far they have gone with the project, my attention was drawn to it when I saw it trending on Twitter.
Exactly what I'm saying, it will only be nice for those who will sell immediately because if held hoping for it to rise or go other wise it's probably going disappoint.

But i wish everyone who is going to hold or grab the airdrop Goodluck, I wish I could be like the uniswap airdrop that made some people millions in my local currency, but it's rare to see such airdrops nowadays.
