Not always. I have received from both newbies and Legendaries too. I was too curious to see that Bitcointalk marked a link that could be suspicious but the PM was not from a newbie. It was from a Legendary member. I also thought that only newbie PMs were marked as suspicious. But, Bitcointalk indeed warns that if you were expecting a PM from a veteran member, this could be an impersonator.

Yeah, the email is still from BitcoinTalk. But still, you should not click on any links even if it comes from Bitcointalk email. It's easy to spoof emails these days. I had such a script a while ago that I tested on a free hosting and spammed my own email to check it and it worked well. So, I assume an average joe is able to do it.

I don't remember receiving such emails. I never published the email that is connected to my Bitcointalk account. So, there is no possibility that I may get any phishing emails. But, yeah, I receive emails every time I receive private messages. Sometimes, I receive PMs from newbies but I never check any links from untrusted sources. I don't remember receiving any private messages with phishing links. Or else, I would have reported them.

But sometimes Bitcointalk reports legit links as phishing or suspicious once any member sends links in private messages. If you are receiving Phishing emails, you should consider creating a new email, and start using a new email. I recommend using an exclusive unique email for Bitcointalk only. But, since 2FA is here, you could utilize it for better security.

Even though your point is valid, how many newbies do you see genuinely interacting in a general conversation? Most of them do not have a genuine interest in a topic. Isn't it stupid to compare a forum with a Video streaming/sharing platform? Both have their legacy. Bitcointalk cannot be like YouTube and YouTube cannot be like Bitcoin Talk. The user base is not the same. I often watch YouTube videos to solve issues like setting up a new operating system. Last week I bought a new router so I could flash OpenWRT into it and use WIFI according to my wish.

YouTube helped me a lot when I was having trouble flashing it in Windows. Then I found another video that showed how easy it is to flush OpenWRT with a Linux operating system. A video tutorial can explain a thousand times better than a text article. On the other hand, A video could be unable to explain better than a text article. You have to understand the difference.
