502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you ever feel tired of waiting? on: October 12, 2023, 03:45:59 AM
If you have invested money in Bitcoin that is not essential for daily expenses, you won't be feeling burdened by holding it, as this money isn't crucial for your day-to-day life. If it weren't invested in Bitcoin, you might have considered putting it in stocks or keeping it in a bank, where you'd still need to wait a considerable time for a bull market.
503  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you manage your finances and family if your income is low range? on: October 11, 2023, 08:22:56 PM
Here is how my father handles our family's finances: My father's salary is 70% less than that of other people in our category because he has no formal education and works as a manual laborer.
Because of this, we have to be very frugal and watch every penny we spend. Each purchase is carefully thought out and everyone in the family is aware of the financial situation.
We don't spend on luxuries because we have to make ends meet.
504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: October 11, 2023, 12:33:19 PM
234 from 20 cents is a lot
imagine if it was 2 dollars, it would give you more than 2 thousand bucks

but I'm a bit more curious on how many times you played with 20 cents to get this win
once? or many?
if many can you share a bit more on the story, like, you spent 20 dollars (100x the 20 cents bet) or more to get this win?

I'm not really into slots, but after seeing some rare big wins shared on this forum and in the casino chat sections, I decided to give it a try. When I was betting $0.10 per spin, I usually only got back around $0.02 to $0.05, which is less than half of what I bet. Occasionally, I did win double my $0.10, but then I got greedy and kept spinning in the hope of recovering my losses, which eventually wiped out my funds.

A few days later, I thought maybe it was just an unlucky day, so I tried playing slots again. Unfortunately, I ended up depleting my account twice, just like that first day. I repeated this process about four times and ended up empty-handed. I really can't figure out how to win at slots. I was playing a game called Olympus God or something like that.
These tips helped me so I shared here.
505  Economy / Gambling / Re: Suddenly I am receving warnings for every casinos sites. on: October 11, 2023, 09:46:47 AM
Update: I did a Network Reset in Windows, which is at the bottom of the network settings, and now I'm not getting that error and all the sites are working fine. This issue can sometimes be related to Browser DNS settings, where there are a lot of DNS options, such as google DNS, open DNS, cloudfare DNS, etc. Most of these DNS settings prohibit adult content, such as porn and gambling sites. If you're facing this issue in the future, you should also check your Browser DNS settings.

Snip

I tried using vpn of USA and it works fine, My country has no prohibition towards online gambling. But don't know why I am facing this issue.
I tried all the things I written in the OP. Is there anything else which I am missing?
My windows update is ongoing for now, I will update this thread after a restart...... and also I have asked to other indian members that they are also facing this issue or not waiting for reply.....
507  Economy / Gambling / Re: Suddenly I am receving warnings for every casinos sites. on: October 11, 2023, 09:08:47 AM
Is this your first time trying it on the Brave Browser? I think Brave actively blocks out websites they deem dangerous for your network or pc. Try using a different browser and see if there are any difference, if that doesn't happen then there's a possibility that it's an ISP thing and you might have to contact them.

No, I Have 4 browsers installed in my pc and I tried in all of them,
Brave, Chrome, Utopia's Idyll Browser, Tor. But I am still facing this issue. It was started from today until yesterday all was running fine.
and from yesterday I have not changed any settings or not have done anything related to this.
508  Economy / Gambling / Suddenly I am receving warnings for every casinos sites. on: October 11, 2023, 08:38:17 AM
Today I accidentally clicked on one of the signatures on this forum and went to roobet website and got a privacy error. After that, I tried other websites on signatures and got the same privacy error. I scanned my PC for viruses using windows security feature but it didn’t solve the issue either. I tried restarting my PC, I turned off content restriction from my router and browser, I tried changing DNS, but it still didn’t fix the issue.

Here are all the images.
I think every website has different privacy security errors.
Read and help me fix this error if you have faced this type of error before.

509  Other / Meta / Is there any way of knowing decayed smerits. on: October 11, 2023, 04:00:48 AM
I read this sentence "There is no point in hoarding sMerit; keeping it yourself does not benefit you, and we reserve the right to decay unused sMerit in the future."
Is there any way of knowing how much sMerits are decayed of mine and others too? And how it works?
The sMerits decay only of inactive members or active members too?
510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Winning Wisely: Strategies to Protect Your Bankroll on: October 11, 2023, 03:44:20 AM
That's what i'm doing, whenever I find myself lucky on the certain game, I just take advantage the moment because it's rare. So I keep playing until a signal hits me to stop and that is when I already lose the bet twice. However, one can't do this if you have no contentment on the profit you've made already.
Deciding when to stop playing can be difficult, whether you win or lose. It's easy to get caught up in the excitement and not want to give up. It's important to be responsible.
Setting a limit  before starting and sticking to it is a wise decision. Whether you win or lose, knowing when to walk away is important.
This shows you make wise choices and  care about your money and emotions.

512  Other / Beginners & Help / Here are some forum features that I discovered after spending some time here. on: October 10, 2023, 01:06:20 PM
I want to share some forum features that have not been easily seen. Even users who have been here for a while may not know about them.

1. Quick Edit Button: Recently, I was reading my reply after posting it and while reading I found the button seems like this , I was seeing that button first time, I clicked and then understood that this is for quickly edit our reply, then I shared it with a local board member which is a newbie here, Then a reply popped up of @libert19 which is here for years and said "Lol, I have been here for years yet learned about it from your post  Cheesy", That's where I got the idea of sharing it on global board so other users also can save time.

2. Hide Button: This feature I discovered on first day of my registration on this forum, but on a recent thread by @blue Snow,
I have seen many people who have been here for many years also find out about it now. This button is available on the homepage to hide the boards that you do not want to view or read. It also hides the avatar that we see at the top of forum. However, it does not hide the avatar permanently after updating the avatar. reappears. Like this:

3. Forum Stats: You will see many interesting statistics about the forum at the bottom of the home page, it will become more interesting after clicking on the "More Stats" hyperlink.

4. Hide Avatars and Signature: If you don’t know how to hide other members’ Avatars or Signatures, or if you’ve installed a third-party extension specifically for this purpose, you can do so in settings, There are a lot of different settings available, some of which may be new to you if you’re not reading the setting page carefully.

5. Watchlist: If you don’t want to see a lot of Unwanted Threads in the "Show new replies to your posts." section, Which are listed there when we respond to threads and other users write a reply on that thread so we can know what are more replies from other members. you can edit that watchlist for a clean view.

Do you learned something new?
513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Winning Wisely: Strategies to Protect Your Bankroll on: October 09, 2023, 02:02:44 PM
I only know one thing for a gambler to play wisely: when he wins between $30 and $50, maybe it's a warning to stop; don't try to continue, because what frequently happens to those who continue even after winning is that they finally lose. Numerous gamblers have experienced this numerous times. You need to take percentage as a example instead the amount.

Due to their false belief that they can defeat the banker, most gamblers get even more ecstatic and increase their wagers after a win.
The exact amount you shared that between $30 to $50 is depend on the player's bankroll, if he is playing with $100 and won $50 then he need to stop at this point, but when the players bankroll is more than $100 like $100k then he need to stop according to that amount. I have taken 50% as a example in this case, so the player needs to stop at $50k,  because it is 50% of 100k which is very reasonable amount. to disturb the psychology of the player and make him lose by playing more games in greed of making it 2x.
514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Winning Wisely: Strategies to Protect Your Bankroll on: October 09, 2023, 12:12:41 PM
Reading each point in the thread and thinking deeply about it gave me useful advice, I agree with every point written in the OP
it's like a model for playing responsibly when you can't control your emotions when losing consistently every bet.

How about you create a blog site and add it there? You could just make it into several blogs and post it there because most people might be skeptical about downloading a pdf from an unsecured source so just make the content open for everyone to view without downloading it.
This thread is worth making a website about it or starting a blog about it. an article explaining each point is a good idea to start a blog

517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble till old age or not on: October 08, 2023, 10:47:27 AM
I was a irresponsible gambler but now trying to becoming responsible or will quite if possible, but it's fun to play with money which i can afford to lose, or extra money which i go to waste every month on unwanted things.
I will play for fun until i have that extra money, once my responsibility will increase like after marriage or so, I will become short on funds or may I find a better job with high salary. then i will consider according to the situation.
But, when I eventually have kids, I'll need to either quit gambling entirely or be very discreet about it so they don't see me. It's probably best to quit altogether and focus on enjoying life with my family once the kids are grown up.
518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Casino make money on Poker on: October 08, 2023, 07:54:07 AM
What kind of poker you are referring to? If you are talking about video poker which is a poker played between players against the house, for sure house edge and losing bet from players are the one that makes the casino earn money. But I think this topic is about PVP poker such as texas holdem player where the casino has no ways to earn money from losing players unless the casino is scam where they have staff who play against real player and they have can see all the cards every single round.
This applies in online poker too. I believe you are pertaining on a poker that is not PVP which typically offered by evolution gaming which user bet against the house in the form of first person mode or betting on odds. This not the original poker which the subject of this thread discussing.
Online poker table like Betnomi before charge rake on every round.

Casinos make money in two ways 1. Fee they charge or every game, 2. When the player loses and Dealer wins.
So i was talking about online casinos that it is not possible to win in online poker games even a professional poker player cannot win. Because they may trying fraudulent tactics and automatic games or games which are played on machines you know never been beaten by a human.
I just taken an example that the question fits perfect in POV of offline casinos, I am not telling that all the online casinos or game providers are fraud.
519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Casino make money on Poker on: October 08, 2023, 04:54:05 AM
this question apply to offline casinos not online casinos because i am something skeptical about them that they cheat or have high odds,
Talking about offline casinos, not every player is a pro poker player for casino to fear about them, many people play for fun and they are not very experienced poker players, it is easy for casinos to defeat them,
which earn them money in other way after fee or rake they collect from players.
