Along with organofcorti I update the Top Ten Pools on http://www.btcmu.info every week. Organofcorti has the most in depth look at Pool performance each week.
502  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1423GH] ABCPool PPS - Proxy Pool For High & Steady Mining Rewards on: August 25, 2012, 05:34:13 PM
I tried to be faithful and stay but I'm just getting too many Pool connection errors and invalids is consistently above 1.5%.  I'm still passing through GPUMax but that was never an issue in the past (was as low as 0.1% invalids last month).  I get Pool 0 not supplying enough work messages in CGMiner 2.7.0 constantly (haven't tried 2.7.4 yet).  Are the servers just not able to handle the load or are the changes in the background (ie construction) causing a temporary (for the last 10 days) slowdown?

This is just a guess.. but since ABCPool moved to EMC which has been having these same issues this is why its been passed onto you. At least this is what it looks like on my end

Why wouldn't they stay at EclipseMC, or perhaps go to MaxBTC, and just pocket the increased fee?

Thats a very good point.. I can see MaxBTC.. EclipseMC seems to be going through some growing pains right now. When running a proxy you cant have outages. Your still paying others even though your pool is down.

Does this mean you guys will be going back to OZCOIN once fee's are in place?

507  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [208 Gh] MtRed (PPS, LP+, API, 0 FEE) Merged Mining Test LIVE on: August 21, 2012, 12:37:43 AM
Just curious due to a point that was made on 420's thread about PPS rates.  I knew that Mt. Red waited for coins to confirm for payouts, but it rose a question that I haven't been able to identify the answer to.  Does Mt. Red still pay out shares on orphaned blocks (which it should as a "Pure PPS" pool)?

Funny i was just going to ask the same thing. Hate to spread a rumor if not true.. verification is in need.. Cheers eleuthria!  Grin

Hey guys,

i have another issues with payment.

From 15.08.2012 5:30am to 16.08.2012 11:30am (~30hrs) i received payouts of 1.36 BTC with ~11GH.

This can not be possible on PPS.

I guess that makes it ppnos.  Pay per not orphaned shared.

Ahh yes.. a new payout method Smiley
512  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Pay per share rate before fee or after?? on: August 17, 2012, 03:26:01 PM
is mtred really true PPS? I thought it doesnt pay if the block is invalid. You only get paid after the block is confirmed. This isnt true PPS.

Anyone know how long it takes for Support to email you back? I have a defective lower fan that I have on one of my singles I just received. Waited 2 months for these things and I get a fan that goes out on one. Was hoping to get an email back today.

Anyone know long long it takes normally?

518  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [ANN] OzCoin starting to charge 3% DGM Fee on: August 12, 2012, 02:34:58 PM
Well obviously Graet is terrible at bait and switch tactics considering it took him over a year to work out this long con.  Roll Eyes

Clearly Oz is a ponzi.

dont make me come to your house!  Grin

520  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Alternatives to the new OzCoin 3% DGM Fee on: August 11, 2012, 10:08:53 PM

I personally felt I was bait and switched over at Oz, and while the merits of my reasoning are up for discussion, still that's how I felt.

I am very sorry that you feel the services OZCOIN is not worth 3%. We all wish you luck in the future on finding a pool you will be happy with.

However, insulting one of the most honest people that runs a pool (Graet) isnt the smartest thing to do. In fact he has paid out of his own pocket when its come to extra payouts because of database screw ups. Hell did you know that OZCOIN just paid out double on multiple blocks recently? Who eats this? Graet.

Ohh did you know that OZCOIN was hacked one time and lost all the coins in the wallet? Graet took it out of his own pocket to make sure people got paid. However, the community even donated to the pool to help offset the loss.

Its a lot of work to keep this pool going. Making sure things get fixed so it does'nt happen again. Graet has always looked out for everyone in the Bitcoin community even if they dont mine on his pool.

So before you start slinging false information and talk shit about how Graet is now moving over to a fee base to keep the pool open. Look at yourself and ask. "What have I done for bitcoin lately".
