I think that your teory should work only on pool with PPS (Pay per share) and on p2p.. No?

And should not work on pool that pay depending your average on last n-block...

The pools should still find blocks easier though, I would have thought it would still average out but with more lag as long as they're both on the same coin (although a small pool may not find any in a short period of time)
I suppose all the major X11 coins needs to analysed for a more accurate picture, I briefly checked startcoin(also sinusoidal) and it looks like around 24 hours per cycle, so is possibly slightly longer,  i could see there being a small phase variance on the X11 networks and when they overlap there will be increased 'noise' and slew on network hash rate due to profit switching pools switching over and over until the maximum profits become clearer (peaks and troughs in particular show distortion)
503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW, Darksend and InstantX on: June 20, 2015, 02:37:36 PM
Fun mining mathematics in the afternoon,
I have noticed that the mining hash rate is somewhat sinusoidal in nature (a noisy one at that)
http://www.coinwarz.com/network-hashrate-charts/dash-network-hashrate-chart

So I decided to work out the period, frequency and amplitude.
Knowing these constants, it is possible to predict the next best and most profitable time to mine (or not!) and see the general 'mood' of the network.

The last 4 peak to peak waveforms and calculate the median hash baseline (almost at a new peak which is not included)

Average of last 4 peaks = 85.8 gigahash
Average of last 4 troughs = 58.7 gigahash
Result: Median baseline = 71.26 gigahash
Amplitude (from baseline) = 13.26 gigahash

Peak to peak period and frequency:

Times between last four peak to peaks waveforms (hrs) = 14 + 25 + 31 + 18 = 88 hrs
Average peak to peak time(period)= 22 hours
Frequency = 1.1 hashing cycles per day

Predictions:

Last trough was today at 02:00 GMT so the next one will be 22 hours after at 00:00 GMT midnight tonight (on average)
Next peak will be at 11:00 GMT tomorrow.

Conclusions

For most profit per kilowatt hour mining.
Switch miner on at 20:00 GMT tonight and turn it off at 04:00 GMT
Make sure miner is turned off by 09:00 GMT tomorrow for over 4 hours.

Speculations

Oddly, the hash period is slightly less than 1 day length at 22 hours, almost as if one part of the world is trying to beat another part to hash first, and they keep over taking each other by shortening and lenthening and then it resets and repeats again.

Edit: So our hashing wash cycle is 1.1 cycles per day, and a woman is 1 cycle per month  Grin

...
Russians basically don't care about Bitcoin (and Dash) now after "1000" price peak - but there is still active community of miners and investors-enthusiasts.
Everybody is waiting for Bitcoin's ban (many politics officially think Bitcoin is FBI project to destabilize Russia and so on Smiley ) this autumn - but no details yet.

General society mind here now is about West is trying to organize "Iraq", "Libya", "Ukraine" for Russia - so popularity of Putin is rising as lider who can defend Russia and so on. Local TV is demonstrates "we have strong army - don't try to attack us and so on..." - It is in a very short Smiley

Yes, the western psychopaths unelected leaders working together with around 20 agencies are doing everything possible to start another cold war and perhaps even a hot one as well, particularly in Ukraine, I heard that the eastern elites are sick to death of their western out of control counterparts.
And endless war in the middle east, it will never stop, they are even saying it could go on for decades, and people vote for this kind of shit.
Never once, has it been asked by our shameful presstitute media, is this a moral, legal or humane thing to do (regarding bombing millions of people in the middle east with DU shells/planes/drones for example)
Like all bullies, the elite are a bunch of cowards and I hope that they are brought before a war tribinal one day, starting with people like Tony Blair-our 'peace envoy', who I believe has just been offered a job by the Ukrainian President (not mentioned on our 'no news' channels of course)

So, back to bitcoin, this I believe was created to stop the bankster backed murdering elite/war production machine, and Satoshi remarked about this a few times, they he could not have foreseen that it would have taken over by agents and infiltrated from the state department, the cat is out of the bag now and not everything can be subverted, and this leads to projects like Dash whose blockchain can not be mapped/tracked and analysed to the point of knowing everybody's financial business and does not have any coin colouring weaknesses(that are known)
I reckon Russians are less niave than westerners because they have been fooled already by communism and is not so easy to con the second time but am understand their skepticism over virtual currencies.

anyway thats my 2 rubles,
Please keep up the excellent work on Dash, your professionalism sets a great example, many thanks,

Sub-Ether.

Hi Alex,

I am wondering whats the general vibe of bitcoin in Russia, and how do people see it, is it viewed as an option out of trading with the dollar for example and even as an alternative to using the ruble, what is the governments view on it (we hear negative things about Russia on our pay per view propaganda channels and is sometimes hard to discern the truth, although talking about bitcoin is still considered a big no no by the lying BBC so I guess they have not decided what angle they are going to come at it from just yet)
I noticed that Russia today is the only available channel in the UK that gives the daily 'spot' price of bitcoin next to gold and oil.(we are only allowed to hear the price of oil anywhere else)

Regards,
Sub-Ether

i tested usecryptos, withdraw to paypal... and man im disappointed, they send "non-gift" way, so now my balance is pending, release date

I imagine they're playing it super safe as this is all new and untested, way I see it, the more options to fiat the better, even if there is a wait.
When other exchanges see usecrpytos getting business from paypal, they will also adopt it, and perhaps speed up the process as a carrot to use them instead, give it time, Rux, give it time. (no pun intended, hehe)

Btw, thanks for the info, let us know if the payment is recieved ok, finally  Roll Eyes

QUESTION

When I get last 10 tx from (http://chainz.cryptoid.info/ric/api.dws?q=lasttxs) I want to view the actually transaction here: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dash/tx.dws?HASH_GOES_HERE.htm -- when I put one of the hash's returned in "HASH_GOES_HERE" it claims the hash is unknown?

I think you have put the default coin example in by accident (i.e. riecoin/ric),
use this,
http://chainz.cryptoid.info/dash/api.dws?q=lasttxs

and the hash result will now search correctly.

A few weeks ago, the ECB was having to throw 1 billion euros a week at Greek banks to stop them from imploding.

Now it's 1 billion a day.

They've said this afternoon that they've agreed to continue the bailout.....until Monday !

Capital controls, incoming......

(I got paid most of what my Greek clients owe me, but not all. Maybe I'll ask to be paid in DASH and BTC ?

These type of bank holidays are known for happening over the weekend, wonder how many atms have been emptied,
is there a border town leading to an EU ATM for further funds available ?

I see, so you would like to take a price of evens on an event  that is basically 1/4 (four to one ON) to play out anytime before 2016. But you want to set a limit of less than a fortnight!!

Honest Tim is very, very disappointed with your lack of honesty.  Sad

I am aware of the online betting prices until the end of 2015.
I do NOT get what you are offended by, its only 1 Dash bet for god sakes, I was just having a bit of fun,
tbh, I don't care which side of the bet I take , is just a laugh, so don't be so serious eh, forget I even said it, eh.

ditto.

I will bet 1 Dash that Greece will still be in the Euro by the end of the month (30th june 2015)

Any takers to bet against me ??

So how many dash will you pay out if you lose?

As its a shortish time limit, its a 1 to 1 bet ratio, so 1 dash either way, are you interested ?

Ofcourse it will stay. Europe has few crisis at the moment and Greece is using it to its own advantage. Hence, it will stay in Eurozone.
I do love EU and Euro, this is really great concept and lovelly idea and would hate to see it broken down... There is a lot of propaganda going againts EU from countries who would love to see it broken down... I think Greece will stay in euro untill we sort out the current problems: immigration from Africa and Russia crisis... Even after that, it will still stay in euro.

Until Greece gets back control of their state currency (i.e. the drachma) , I can't see it getting any better, and same goes for all other countries in a awful state atm like Ireland and Spain (youth unemployment over 50%)
We're in the EU, here in the UK, it is not neccessary to be in the Euro currency, when the 4 founder members of the EU started in the 70's, everyone was told it was for trade only, it was not about losing control of your country via the ECB bankster hegemony and Brussels.
Greece and others had their gold seized 'reallocated' by the ECB and creditors for joining the Euro and bailout money debt which they only actually recieved 4.5% in their pockets.
This is a con and an asset seizure on a soverign basis, or do you believe the Fox news/BBC's version of events ?  Grin

BTC38 doesn't carry a DASH/CNY pair.  There will be no DASH pump.  Sorry.

Its really odd.  I get why there is most of the coins there that are there....they have been around for a long time...but Stellar and Bitshares?  Does someone have an ear over there?  We've been one of the top several cryptos for months now.  Why?

They have "Coin Voting" page, stating "you can vote on what you'd like to trade on BTC38."
http://www.btc38.com/trade/vote_for_trade_en.html
Smiley money votes. almost like in the U.S. world politics.

hopefully one of our dash whales can make it happen. or when the new dash update comes out we could make a proposal to pay to get on the exchange with the blockchain funds. i would vote for it.
fixed the last part for you. Grin

Well, coinomat.com require 0.0005 btc per vote and we need over 6400 votes to win for end of the month which means
we only have to pony up 3.2 bitcoins to be added to an exchange that uses mastercard and visa.

Wow this may be the best DASH <-> EURO Gateway we have. I would prefer SEPA 0% deposit and 3€ withdrawal is very good! and if you need to buy fast 1€+6% seems ok too (but lets say 100€ volume -> 7€ fee would still hurt me).

How they can handle paypal? though they ban all crypto related businesses.

Please keep us updated with your experiences.

First positive thing I've noticed is it only takes 1 confirmation to deposit Dash (3 tests)
Second thing: there is currently no dash/euro trading but it exists and could be created from selling a little bit of bitcoin to generate internal euros.
Third thing: mandatory minimal verification before use of account (not sure its checked, account confirmed quickly)
Fourth thing : you CAN withdraw to a paypal account (1.00 + 6.00 %)
''Daily Limit D/W 0.00€/2000.00€ Monthly Limit D/W 0.00€/10000.00''

Fifth thing : you can raise daily limit by providing further ID with proof of residance
Sixth thing : support tickets are a different user/password system
