501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚓⚓⚓Doubloons⚓⚓⚓ [BOAT] Hybrid PoW/PoS, HMQ1725 - Pillage and Plunder with CPU! on: February 03, 2017, 04:48:11 AM
http://cryptomining-blog.com/wp-content/download/sgminer-5-1-1-hmq1725.zip

I found this gpu miner for this algo. It still comes up with 17 detects in virustotal. However, even ocminers cpu miner comes up with these same 17. I did not make this and cannot gurantee how clean it is. Use are your own risk
Unable to solo mine with it, the miner always says "No suitable long-poll found", why is it not switching to getwork?  Huh

Did you create the conf file, and use the same settings in your mining .bat?

& use
Code:
-o http://
instead of stratum?

Yea.. I was about to say that this is not normal for a miner to come up with this many trojan warnings.. I'll check out the new one and if it's clean, i'll mine a bit

Shoot your BOAT address my way, ye be gettin' some booty fer the help!

Wallet seems to be clean. However, the cpu miner seems to have tons of things that you may not want:
https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/1ba9a0005c4121b24b64eabbb847127bdcca2c651aa8769fca6ba4ea4462d9d2/analysis/1486089715/

Be careful with this

This is the source of the miner:

http://cryptomining-blog.com/7805-new-cpuminer-multi-fork-with-hmq1725-algorithm-support/

Not disregarding your post, but it is a well-known program used for ESP mining Smiley

edit: that's weird, my results come up clean with the same files:

I'll just use their link then, thanks for pointing this out.

Solo Mining:
Download one of the miners above, extract to a new directory.  Edit the AMD or Intel .bat file to match the rpc user & password from the .conf file, for example:

Code:
cpuminer -a hmq1725 -o http://127.0.0.1:33828  -u anyname -p anypassword
add -t x ,where x=number of cores to use

then run the .bat file!

Here's what everything should look like after editing & executing your .bat file (be patient, it'll take a minute before mining):

Error time!

The first time I launch my wallet, everything seems to be in working order...

If I close and re-open, however, I receive a " error loading block index " warning.

Deleting the files from Appdata\Roaming will only fix the problem until the next time application is loaded.

Any clues?  I'll provide as much info as possible to those willing to help.  Thanks in advance

I thought everyone was using their # of posts, since they all say posts:  Huh

If posts = activity, then:

You are correct obavijest, it is the post count that is important, so 932 for you.

so what is the difference? pls. elaborate.

From this thread:

Quote
The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is updated every hour.

I'm not sure if I am confirmed for this signature campaign, but I'm connected to Wings through twitter & telegram.  Whomever is in charge of this campaign, please let me know!  Thanks in advance.

514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: RISE - SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED - 300,000 RISE FOR PARTICIPENTS on: June 02, 2016, 09:03:37 PM

What exactly are we supposed to look for here?

The sheet doesn't have user names, only a breakdown of how they will get paid...?

Unless I'm missing something in the document, how can we verify our participation in this campaign?

There are two sheet on the document, overview and form responses 1. You should take a look for the latter.  And see if your name is listed there.

Derp...thanks...was looking for that tab at the top for some reason.  Name's on the list, but not accepted/rejected yet (along with a bunch of others).  Wonder when it will be updated?

518  Economy / Collectibles / A question regarding physical coins on: March 17, 2016, 10:03:02 PM
Can someone fill me in / share some links / drop some knowledge regarding physical coins?

I'd love to have one - a paper wallet is just...plain; it'd be nice to have something with some weight to it, like a gold bar...maybe tape my paper wallet to a bowling ball...?

The only problem is I can't really afford the more popular physical coins that are constantly being auctioned off here.  Anyone know of a decent coin (of any currency - bitcoin, dash, unobtanium are a few I've seen) that won't cost me more than I'm putting into it?  I've been trading for about a year now, but have only made about half a bitcoin...I'm but a broke college student and can't afford to put everything I have into crypto  Tongue

Thanks in advance for all the help!
