501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes you sure about next year? on: December 11, 2018, 07:48:19 AM
It is not impossible judging from where we are currently, but at the same time, the chances of seeing some pretty good growth by next year may not be that much, considering that we are still so much in a bearish situation even at the moment.

However, is not really an unrealistic attempt if the market tend to move upward in the short term, probably before the continuation of the downtrend towards the end of the year, but I would not be counting so much on it until there is a clear signal for an uptrend as this is the only time we can have some guarantee at least on the market trying to be in a small uptrend.
502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is now the time to buy ALTs? on: December 11, 2018, 07:16:21 AM
Yes, this is the time. I seriously believe in spectrecoin and nano. Nano has been talked about everywhere, even though the volume is low and the price is low and it had one of the nastiest falls ever in the history of crypto, it literally still worth a lot in my eye and is marvellously undervalued because there is still that community that keeps talking about it.

Everyone knows what nano is, everyone heard of nano and everyone knows how fast and instant the transactions are and the app coming out and all that, many coins dream of having the public awareness that nano has. Which tells me during a bull run people will flock to nano as soon as it starts to go up and it can literally break thru the ath price and reach to whatever and still make you insane profits. Spectrecoin is bit more long-short term, I do not believe I will be holding it in the next 10 years but I believe in what they are trying to do.

It had couple problems during this bear run but the initial owner came back and now they are working towards the v3 wallet version, the mobile app, got new tech developers and looking for a new marketing agency. Combine all of that and you got yourself a big coin. Hence I bought it recently and I am planning on selling in 2020 or maybe late 2019 depending on how quickly the project progress.
503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: are you afraid of the current market situation. on: December 08, 2018, 09:19:48 AM
This is because several months the crypto currency market has experienced a major outbreak. And start falling btc and expect coins too. As a trader, I feel tension and fear when the market slowly drops due to the garbage market ... What about you who are afraid when the market goes down.

Not at all, I have seen the market rise and fall over the year, and it is nothing new. Grab this chance to buy cryptocurrency cheaper because once the market starts recovering, we might not even see these prices again.
The decline that occurred after a very high increase last year surprised some people, especially new people and it was natural because they did not have much experience. and for people like you, this is a rare opportunity that must be utilized. I am also sure if the market will slowly grow and buy now is the right choice.
I agree with you as we saw a few times a decline in the price of Bitcoin many times it took longer time to recover and at last it recovered. This time we are sure that the price will recover again like the past and it will really surprise all of the crypto community.

So, we definitely do not need to get afraid of what is happening right now with bitcoin markets. We need to be confident about the potential of bitcoin after analyzing for what it is capable. Only the people who are not aware of how bitcoin will be performing in the coming future, is worrying and then panic-selling.

We should not get panic and we must opt for holding so that we can make use of that we have already invested. Along with, we also must go for buying more coins whenever our budget will be allowing to add more bitcoins.
504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have I joined at the wrong time? on: December 08, 2018, 07:56:48 AM
You've just entered a good time. Look at the cost of bitcoin, you do not want to buy It at this price? If you had entered the market earlier, you would have bought it more expensive.

I will like to say that we are still in a good time as the future will be more stronger in the cryptocurrencies and the people who joined right now will think themselves as the early adopters as in the future the price of all the coins will be much bigger.

The current downfall of all the cryptos must be treated as a very good buying opportunity. But unfortunately, most people here are not ready to realise this fact. Bitcoin was priced around $20 last year but now it is available for less than $4k then why not we should make use of this opportunity.

Definitely bitcoin prices will again value more than $20k. Believe in to the concepts of bitcoin and make use of what right now is happening in the bitcoin markets and all other cryptos. (Please note that I am stating about bitcoin as an example here.)
505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: should I start buying ICOs again on: December 08, 2018, 07:16:53 AM
Please stop investing in ICO. Now that the cryptocurrency market is in a downturn, investing in ICO will only make your money disappear. Patience waiting for a good market to come in consideration of the purchase of ICO. ICO abuse led to the decline of Ethereum.
Yes, we may avoid ICOS but we should go for ethereum like high potential coins. I think it is the time to invest in all the good coins  which are good as right now the market is down and the coin are available at lower price after the market will be up many people will not be able to invest and to earn bigger profit.

The experts always say buy in low and sell at high price. I never find investing into ICOs is good because we cannot risk based on new devs and owners. It is having only 50% chances to hit big returns. Instead of risking with ICOs, it would be much better to invest with a reputed altcoins.

Simply by going with coinmarketcap, we may start investing with top coins. I guess many people are already doing this as this is one of the proven way to make good profits by making use of this down trend.
506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Observe the trend and don't get surprised on: December 08, 2018, 06:42:14 AM
Crypto market is volatile, which requires us to be more observant in seeing opportunities. we are not people who regulate crypto or the government will provide regulation. so don't wait too long, this is a good time for investment.
Many investors are investing in this time in crypto while the same time many people who are not aware of the coming future of crypto are selling their coins. So the price is in low while in actual the coming month will bring bigger investors and will rise the value so investing now is a good opportunity.

Yes, only the people who are having vast experience about how crypto currencies have traded in the past, are deciding to hold their coins and also opting for buying more whenever they are seeing cheaper price levels.

We need to keep buying so that we can ensure about having good average buying levels which is more important for calculating good profits as no one will not be able to buy at the exact lower price levels. Investing right now will be the best option in my opinion too.
507  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin even work in our current system? on: December 08, 2018, 06:11:35 AM
Pretend that all the fiat money in the world is gone and the whole world is only using Bitcoin.  Ignore scalability issues for this scenario.

I'm sure most of you know that most money is actually created by banks through fractional reserve lending.  Our economy is stimulated by people constantly taking out loans to make purchases.  But with bitcoin you can't loan money that doesn't exist.  Maybe we would have to change our consumerism as a society and prices would drop.  Being able to borrow money easily makes everything rise in price.   What are your thoughts?

Bitcoin is decentralized system and its hard to replace fiat money in our currency economic system. Every country need their own currency because every country have different strenght on their economic.
This is not the right assumption. Why we need different currencies for different countries when almost all the countries have accepted gold as a common momentary exchange medium. When gold is working as a common medium why not we can have a common currency. I guess in near future all the countries will be accepting this fact and benefits of having a common currency like European Union and euro.

I believe bitcoin can even work along with our current system because there will be no need of any specialized the system for the need of adopting bitcoin. It is already happening in many merchants environment. For a country level also it will be working similar to how Japan is doing right now.
508  Economy / Economics / Re: Manila Residents to Be Paid in Ether for Cleaning Up Polluted Habitat Area on: December 07, 2018, 12:46:39 PM
This is not really a big ethereum news, it doesn't use many of the features we love, it doesn't really show off the greatness of ethereum blockchain and doesn't really do anything other than just a good PR and a cheap advertisement. If this is a success they can go around cleaning beaches and paying people money and then call themselves "ethereum is so good it is used to clean the world" and whatever.

I think the main point here is that that money could have been paid in fiat as well, you can just directly pay cash to someone who cleans it, there are economic problems in Manila that causes them to not pay people to clean in general, give them a million dollars to clean everywhere and they will rank highest in hygiene rankings. Doesn't matter if its ether worth a million or just fiat a million.
509  Economy / Economics / Re: Whether Getting Married At a Young Age Can Lead To Poverty And Make Poor Economy on: December 07, 2018, 12:13:45 PM
I see in my country many marriages at a young age and don't think about the economy in the future,
I know getting married at a young age is very beautiful,
but if the economy is insufficient, maybe should think again not to get married at a young age,
and I think from that marriage it can give birth to children and increase the population of the earth, and maybe in a few years the earth will be full of humans and surely there will be many other crimes to survive on this earth,

Is there a solution, to overcome this impending disaster
Everyone is different. Age doesn’t mean you’re wiser than someone else, there are people who are fools even at the age of forty. Young people can still get married and as long as they understand each other, they can work hard putting both efforts together and help themselves out of poverty.

I think it can only lead to poverty if only one of them is the one providing for the family. But at last, I will say it’s best to get married when you have a reliable business and you’re sure to handle anything that comes your way.
510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ADA or XRP on: December 06, 2018, 07:39:32 AM
I have 200 dollars and I want to know if I should place it in XRP or ADA. I have both so spare the split 50/50 talk Smiley

Thanks in advance!
The both of them are good and quite promising. You have also seen how much the XRP has been able to accomplish this year, even doing the unexpected by taking over ETH’s position. XRP is good and so is ADA, so maybe you should split the money 50/50 like you have said and invest in both cryptocurrency and see the one that will work out most for you, but I’m sure they will both be worth it.
511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If all altcoins die, only Bitcoin is left, will it rise X100? on: December 06, 2018, 06:43:32 AM
We know, at the beginning of crypto, there was bitcoin as only one crypto. If we return to that situation, will Bitcoin rise sharply?
Does Altcoins have a more positive impact on Bitcoin or will it weaken Bitcoin?
But assuming that starts to happen, I think a lot of people at first will be scared. You just wake up in the morning altcoins begins to disappear in the market from the lowest and going up the list everyday, you would be afraid and will even withdraw the money you have in Bitcoin cause you will think Bitcoin will do the same. But after all the altcoins are gone and Bitcoin is still there and at a cheap rice, a lot of people will rush it and within few days the price will multiply in huge numbers and price will be very high.
512  Economy / Exchanges / Re: what are the things to consider when looking for a good exchange? on: December 06, 2018, 05:38:06 AM
I am a trader or at least that is how i see myself. I trade on binance, okex, idex, mercatox, bittrex, houbi and some other exchange. Lately i notice a lot of new crypto exchange popping here and there. And as much as i know and safe guard my password and secure my account with 2fa, I am still curious of the factors other traders consider when they are signing up on a new exchange. Would love to know some of your key factors so i might look into those too.
There are some platforms that are really good and has every features you will ever need, but their only problem will be the support team, although they are not scam, but due to the poor support people will start to believe that they are scam.

I’ve experienced that before, a good exchange but you will find it difficult in reaching out to their customer support because they never get to reply. Best thing to do is to abandon them and look for another exchange. Some of them do have a responsive support, but they are never able to solve your problem.
513  Economy / Economics / Re: The US dollar is gaining strength on: December 05, 2018, 07:18:41 AM
I don't know. Your analysis is too optimistic. Much like how people said that the besr market is starting last july on the basis of two solid weeks of greens instead of reds. I think yeah the dollar is gaining momentum but I don't think it will sustain it up to the emd of the year. It will dip by the new year and gain momentum from there again.
Right. The US dollar is obviously gaining its strength up to the present but i think this will not happen all the time.Maybe by next year we can see a dropdown of price just like any other currency. And it will happen when a bull run for crypto market has just started i think.
Dollar is gaining strength compared to what actually? To previous year? Don't act like dollar has more value today than it did 10 years ago, it doesn't , certainly not compared to 20 years ago. In fact if you go back like that for each decade, all previous decades are better than next decade was.

Hence dollar is not gaining strength on the long term, it is short term spike that makes this and that causes markets to react to it by dropping in share value or similar however in the end it always ends up with the same old thing.

Dollar starts losing value again, hence things gets higher in price and when things get higher in price shares go up as well and that makes people happy about it and wages go up and we have inflation in our hands. Never trust any fiat currency, not dollar, not euro, not yuan. Don't trust any of them ever.
514  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency news on: December 05, 2018, 06:44:27 AM
awesome news.
very soon we will all be able to use crypto to buy things freely and everywhere... etc.
no longer subjected to crazy exchange losses when travelling.
A lot of us have always been thinking and hoping that one day we will be able to live life, go places, and make payment for anything without even having to convert to fiat first.

Sure, it is certain that however we want it, fiat is something that will always remain one way or the other, but as the world turns digital and we get to see digital payments than paper currency payment, I am really believing seeing means for real life usage, will really help greatly to see this space grow more than it is now. At least, things like this will help a lot for global adoption and awareness.
We are really getting close to being one of the most legit investments in the world. I know price still acts as if we are a bunch of computer nerds and finance nerds all got together and created something since the price moves and swings insanely all the time but in reality we are really getting into the world of finance crazily.

Right now we are looking at bitcoin which is getting bigger with the news of Nasdaq making an ETF for bitcoin, Ohio accepting bitcoin for tax payments, G20 Leaders agreeing to make a crypto regulations and many more stuff like that. To think that this is the same coin that people used to talk about how black market people use and even my parents said I should stay away from it because "it sounds dangerous" now knows that bitcoin is a valid investment option.
515  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I fail in trading on: December 04, 2018, 05:58:10 AM
I’m a newbie in trading. I want to improve my trading skills. I have heard some experienced trader said that I should learn and read more before start, and also get some experience. Trading requires a lot of patience and hard work, learn about the way to analyze the price chart, when they can be able to analyze price chart they will know the best time to buy and sell and know which one is the best coin to trade…
I tried one but I falied. There is something I don’t know? Please tell me more.

You tried one and you failed, that’s probably because you didn’t learn it. Maybe you did learn it, but you didn’t understand it. I know how it feels, I was once learning all these things that has to do with trading cryptocurrency, and sometimes I will read something and feel like I’ve understood everything and can do it, but the truth is I didn’t understand anything. I saw how it works, but I didn’t understand how it works, and I will just jump in and at the end it all ends up as a failure. It would be best if someone can teach you this in person.
516  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dangers of a HODL’er: on: December 04, 2018, 05:28:13 AM
1. Lethargy during a sideways market
2. Disregarding your strategy
3. Chasing somebody else’s dream
4. Believing somebody else’s FUD
5. Using money that you shouldn’t be
6. Failing to properly do a self risk analysis before investing

If you can cope with these dangers then this type of investment will do well for you. This is a hands-off, long term method of investing. DYOR, find good coins with bright futures, buy and hold. Don’t worry about the daily percentages
All of them are dangers that anyone can face in Hodl’ing cryptocurrency but I believe that the number 2,5 & 6 are the main problems here. One should never disregard their own strategy, whatever strategy you have decided to use at the beginning and you believed it was going to work for you, then you should stick to that and disregard it because of what others are saying.

And never use any money that you’re not meant to use in trading cryptocurrency cause you might lose it, just use what you can afford to risk. Lastly, doing self analysis is what anyone shouldn’t fail to do, cause most of the times it’s not good to rely on other people’s analysis, majority of them are always wrong.
517  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bottom is in !! on: December 04, 2018, 04:58:23 AM
It has been a hell of a drop in last 14 days... The question we are all wondering is where will be the bottom, and whether this has already been a bottom...
I want to show you my top 3 scenarios, which I believe are most probable.

Atm I still believe we are on scenario A. ... yes price went lower, but unless we break 3600, and drop down to 200 weekly moving avg, which is atm at around 3150, i still believe we are in A...
The price already dropped down to $3500 before and I don’t see any difference between being at the price rate of $4000 and $3000. All these predictions you all are making doesn’t make any sense any longer, so yours is wrong and can never be right.

Why didn’t you make the prediction all this while when the price was around $11,000? That’s how claimed lowest was $10k right then, but it never, rather price kept plummeting and when it was around $6k they still made the same useless predictions and it never worked as they said.

Now you bring yours, which will also turn out to make no sense later on. You all should just admit you know nothing and stop distracting newbies. Nobody knows, just buy when you can afford, Bitcoin price is moved by manipulation and speculation and that’s it.
518  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Just got scammed on here. on: December 01, 2018, 06:28:23 AM
Not sure where to post this or who to go to.

Got scammed for IHome codes.

Any help appreciated. thanks.
I’m really sorry for you man, the best thing you can do here is report them and tarnish his or her reputation, but I know them, they will still go and create another account and come back to scam people.

You shouldn’t be engaged in any business with just anyone you see here, most people you see here are scammers, I’ve also lost my money to a scammer once, and the bad news is that there is no way you can get your money back, unless the scammer is a nice person and decides to send it back, which is probably not going to happen.
519  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Do you think that crypto exchanges are dead? on: December 01, 2018, 05:41:31 AM
Are you referring to exchanges that have been around for a long time or the ones that are still starting up newly? If it’s for the old ones, nah, they have no problem cause their foundation is already rock solid. The only ones that can have problem is the new ones, but with good plans they are likely to succeed.

Not having original ideas might not really be much of a problem, because sometimes people do copy and still reach a level to compete with the original. What’s likely to be a problem is lack of funds. If there is no funds, then its making no sense.
520  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Purchasing Bitcoin in person? on: December 01, 2018, 05:10:32 AM
I was wondering if it's possible to purchase bitcoins in person? Anywhere in the world? Something that wouldn't leave financial records of my purchases? Making a deposit too would be good. Would anyone else be interested in it?

It’s possible. I usually send Bitcoin to my friends and sometimes they also send to me. I don’t mostly buy from exchanges, not when I can even buy cheaper from people around who are willing to sell at a rate that is way more cheaper than what the exchanges would offer.

But for your safety and to avoid being scammed, you should never try to do business with a stranger, better to buy from Localbitcoin.com or Paxful. If there is any local seller where you live, then buy from him/her.
