501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: February 11, 2024, 10:45:52 PM
After hitting my double-up parlay from the other thread, it's time to back the Chiefs again. They already gave me a few good wins before this, so I don't mind losing.

I also have KC to win in my BSFL prediction, which could determine my situation in the relegation zone, plus the KC prediction in Volgastallion's prediction contest.

Hopefully, we can cash all of our Super Bowl predictions, and congrats to those who got some of the free bets from the main thread.  Wink

Aston Villa vs Manchester united
https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/soccer/england/premier-league/aston-villa-vs-manchester-utd-65bc6f43aafd2b00010b1912

Looking for both Villa and Arsenal wins for these Premier League games!
We also have a daily special for this match, but I didn't go for any of them because this could easily go in favor of Man United and I lost my confidence on Aston Villa after seeing them get their first home loss against Newcastle.

I still have a mini parlay prepared based on this week's BSFL questions and if this hits, i'll probably roll it over for the Superbowl match.  Wink
504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the most underrated sport? on: February 11, 2024, 03:21:29 PM
From my experience, it's probably Rugby and Aussie rules. If i'm going to make a comparison, they're a bit similar to American football. I remember having a few profitable runs with these sports before through the help of some bettors who frequently share their insights and opinions.

Upsets and unpredictable results still happen, but eventually, you'll find that consistency and know the teams to avoid. Unfortunately, i've stopped betting on them because i'm not as interested, unlike the other sports, and maybe the league has become more competitive.
505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: February 11, 2024, 03:39:20 AM
Looks like FaZe swept MOUZ under the rug ! Well not really, MOUZ was almost able to hold them off in the 2nd map but yeah it was pretty close right there. It looks like the other team that would potentially make it to the final would be Team Spirit and this could be another potential 2-0 for Team Spirit against Faze in the final again. Meanwhile lets bet another one on Team Spirit vs Falcons
Congrats on the wins for both series and surprisingly, betting on the playoffs has been great with all the favorites delivering the wins. I assume the grand finals would be the same when Team Spirit is performing like they're the team to beat in this tournament.

Also, with the BB tournament later today, i'll be making a parlay on both Team Spirit(Dota and CS), as they're both favorites at around 1.4 decimal odds.

Weekly Update(link)

Removed Bets, Bitvest, and Eloncoin from the list.
Moved BullBear and MetaWin from PNYC to CFNP.
Moved Stake and WasabiWallet from CFNP to OFNP.

Edit:
@ralle14, it's not a complain at all but just a suggestion :-)
Yep, no problem.
507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you quit gambling for a friend? on: February 11, 2024, 01:28:00 AM
My approach would be similar to what yahoo suggested it shouldn't be that hard to make time for your friend and another time for gambling. Even if most of his friends would quit for good, there's no telling how effective that could be when it still depends on the affected person, and there's a high possibility for him to continue without the influence of his friends. Quitting becomes a temporary fix when his gambling problem could still go on, and at that point, it's better if they find another solution that could help him overall.

after a dramatic penalty shootout South Africa vs Congo I won another point here, now I'm leading 2-0, I hope tomorrow I win one more point or my rival doesn't win 1 point to win this round
I also need to hold in the second half because that upset from South Africa gave my opponent a crucial point to close in on my lead.

Three questions remain between us and we have opposing answers. I'll be cheering for Aston Villa, Milan, and Chiefs. If one of those three teams wins, I get to secure a draw and two for the win.  Grin
509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: February 11, 2024, 12:03:51 AM
Toronto Raptors - Cleveland Cavaliers - Cleveland Cavaliers (-10.5) - Yeah, I will take that. Cavs are a hot team.
I also like the Cavs' spread in this spot since the Raptors played yesterday and watched them nearly throw their win against the Rockets. They had a 20-point lead at one point and almost blew it away in the fourth, as the Rockets managed to keep it a one possession game.

Against a well-rested and solid team like the Cavs, this should be an easy win and cover for the road favorites unless the Raptors can get another perfect start and hold until the end.

Whats your though about FAZE vs MOUZ, I personally took FAZE -1.5 on this lol and now Im abit regretting this because this game kinda scream over 2.5 maps for me
I'm also leaning on that series going over three maps because MOUZ is a decent team and FaZe's performance isn't as impressive, unlike Team Spirit.

G2 didnt even show up today vs faze. lose 0-2 and got only 15 rounds  Huh Huh

meanwhile ence got stomped map 1 but i think they win map 2 and then the series  Grin
G2 was so off during that series and Niko couldn't even win the crucial 1v1 fights when he knew someone would be on the flank or lurking at a certain angle.

And ENCE is unfortunate they had to face Team Falcons, who are somewhat familiar with their playstyle since half of their players used to play for them.

When it comes to NaVi I see s1mple being benched. Do you know what the reason is for his decision? They still look decent even without him after transferring w0nderful from Sprout to fill s1mple's space. I can't say they have the youngest lineup maybe but the experience level looks really solid.  Smiley
This HLTV link mentioned that his sudden break was about documents and wanting to move to another role.

I guess the transition of sniping from CSGO to CS2 isn't as easy because i've heard that the other pros also mentioned that they're still having a hard time adjusting.

While on the group B, the two seemingly about to get eliminated teams are;
  • nouns
  • OG
Although there's a potential to get into four tie but I don't think that it will be.
I agree those two should most likely be eliminated when they're up against the two best teams in their group and possibly throughout the tournament.
514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you beleive in the concept of "Luck"? on: February 08, 2024, 12:13:45 AM
  • Do you believe in Luck? If so, how do you describe your perception of this concept?
The concept of luck for me is like being at the right time and triggering it unexpectedly.

  • How lucky do you think you are from 1 to 10?
Recently, i'd say my luck is around below average (4), and it's getting worse unlike before.

  • Does your sense of luck in regular life correlate with your luck in gambling?
I have to say no because that would be more of a coincidence if both were on the same level.

  • Do you believe that some special things or actions can increase your luck?
Yes, I somewhat believe that certain actions can have an effect and it could go both ways.

516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Resources for a more reliable paroly (multi-bet) strategy on: February 07, 2024, 03:58:33 AM
Other sports categories and what to avoid
I'd include baseball in that list, specifically the MLB. They sometimes have slight favorites, and the risk is similar to hockey, where certain advantages like playing at home and having a better pitcher are not enough to give the favorites an edge.

Also, regularly check on promotions related to parlays because sportsbooks usually have one or two good promotions that can offset the risks of a parlay.
517  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best cryto exchange? on: February 07, 2024, 01:40:36 AM
My top 1 is Binance since i've been using their P2P exchange without any issues and they have a lot of active users posting ads. As the others have already mentioned, the biggest downside is that you need KYC, which can be a no-go for some traders.

Unfortunately, they'll be restricted in my country, and if you plan to try them out, I suggest checking the list first in case your country is mentioned.
518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: February 07, 2024, 01:00:17 AM
Anyone following IEM Katowice 2024 recently? I haven't been able to keep up with it regularly unluckily. I have been supporting Eternal Fire due to its representing my country in this huge tournament.
I've been following the IEM Katowice, Vitality with the sudden early exit, and Team Spirit looks unbeatable with donk.  Wink

Eternal Fire is always off to a solid start, and even though they lost against Faze, they did great taking advantage of the mistakes of Faze because they had no business winning that second map.

On the Navi series, the map pool heavily favors the side of Navi when Anubis is Navi's third-best map. At least they kept it competitive when those two series could've been a 2-0 win for their opponent.
519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: February 07, 2024, 12:02:00 AM
Go with the pregame odds I suggest. Now it's -13.5 but as you mentioned, they are so undermanned and we witnessed how the Grizzlies played last game. Knicks aren't happy with their last game, so most likely they'll have a strong bounce back game tomorrow and I can see an easy 20+ points victory.
I appreciate the suggestion, i'll probably do a live bet on the Knicks match as they've been scoring less in the first quarter and try to get a lower handicap from there.

Anyway, what are your thoughts on this bet?
That multi-bet is solid, except for the Bucks, they've been shitting the bed recently, and a few of their starting players are still GTD.

Indiana Pacers - Houston Rockets - Indiana Pacers (-5.5) - Another questionable day for Tyrese Haliburton but I think they can still win this one, especially at their home.
I also have the Pacers and even without Haliburton, this should be doable for the Pacers because the Rockets have been consistently bad on the road.
520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling mistake repeated by the gamblers on: February 06, 2024, 10:07:31 PM
I also fall for those mistakes, and that's why I have a set of rules in place that I follow because it's easy to space out and have those vulnerable moments as those extra chunks of profits are always tempting.

The gambler should try to withdraw the funds from the gambling site after the good winning in the gambling site.
Aside from cashing out your bankroll, creating a spreadsheet to track your transactions and bets would also help reduce that greediness. That way you'll be more cautious of the amount you'll be betting and reconsider before pulling another big bet.
