501  Economy / Lending / Re: [EDU] How to spot a scammer (Read this before lending your coins!) on: January 13, 2013, 08:01:55 PM
This is very good joojo. I really loathe the sob stories... Ends up hurting the underdog that in some cases is me LOL

I have asked for NMC handouts in the past. Not small amounts ether. I belong to several Linux clubs around my area of residents. I started talking up coin and showing the whole system through NMC. End result being my fellow members learn about blockchains, the software, recive a transaction and a domain out of it. Some individuals would have me pinned for a penny scammer. So what I've done to show "proof of work" is very very simple. I give this advice out to aid my fellow geeks and non profits in such actions.

1) Give the names of the club founders and or the person or persons working with the overall membership

2) Give the location(s) of where the meetings take place. address, phone number and if It's a coffee shop or dinner a managers name to contact.

2) Give a head count of membership showing in advance. Usually I give out 5-10NMC

3) Log the addresses and show proof of purchase of the .bit domain. In some cases of a die hard member who gets his .bit up and running I follow up with "Look what this guy did in school today". style emails.

4) Post updates, if not even in the op. follow up. take photos of the membership useing the software. take a group picture. and at the very least sharpie the donaters names on paper with a thank you.

502  Other / Meta / OTC without the IRC on: January 12, 2013, 02:54:00 AM

Does anything like this exist yet? I don't really know if I stand alone in not wanting to set foot on an IRC network .. personal reasons turn me off from it. I spent years on them and actually ran a pretty strong sub server.. anyway..

I know some folks wher talking at one point of a website that would allow a Bitcoin merchant or just basic trader to create a profile and make ready a place where feedback abd comments per individual basis could be made. Does this exist yet? is it. ever going to? bullet?
503  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer WARNING: illWill on: January 12, 2013, 02:45:04 AM
What I always wonder is how many of his buyers prior to you actually bought coin from him. youhm have one poster with 57 posts another with 9 who have apparently bought. And another poster who hasn't said anything. So fuck.. I hope paypal helps you
504  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FeedZeBirds on: January 11, 2013, 10:29:41 PM
Okay so I'm going to back up the OP here abd say I'm owed 0.2BTC by this group. Since the website is down should those in.need of payment provide Twitter accounts showing activity with this program? How does it work in this case?

Seems like a ton of energy atleast for me. It's a whopping 2.81 USD. However I'm sure some advertisers have much more invested into this so. whatever needs to be done.
505  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: eBay and Bitcoin on: January 08, 2013, 05:58:10 AM
I would think a physical coin might work. Atleast.Yoy would think so. I mean people sell new DVD/Blu-Ray media that anymore contains an UV digital download. Lots of record labels are starting that as well. And most of the time a tracking number is used for proof of actually shipping eBay side.

Perhaps if physical coins take off and have a market presence one might be able to argue this more. I think however it boils down to what everyone else has said. paypal/ebay doesn't want you useing Bitcoin. It deflects from the bunk service that is that basket case.
506  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: eBay and Bitcoin on: January 07, 2013, 11:31:06 PM
I don't think the op wants to sell coin. I think he's asking if It's against eBays rules to accept coin. The awnser is no It's not. they might throw a paypal button up but you cab lost in the body of the listing Bitcoin is accepted by you.

This is what I was talking about when I was speaking of my searches a few months ago. But the safest way to avoid someone paying with paypal rather then coin is the above-mentioned test auction trick.
507  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: PENDING - [SCAMMER - 10 BTC loan ($130)] *name removed* on: January 07, 2013, 07:51:35 PM
If he's worked out a deal fucking let it go. If you dobt believe him and are not directly effected by this loan... a simple solution exists. ether ignore his postings or don't make any deals with him.

To beat the issue of posting proof is no longer anyones concern. Furthermore aside from moral support and perhaps advice tips it really wasn't our concern to begin with. I take these.scammer threads for what they are. A simple warning to others concerning deals with a mentioned person within the body of the post.

If he doesn't abide by the payment plan. The OP has a right further.down the road to deface him. But for now let fucking time prove ether way

508  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: eBay and Bitcoin on: January 07, 2013, 03:30:26 AM

I believe a very small percent of individual buyers of coin on eBay are legitimately looking to buy. I believe those few are the ones that haven't ventured out and looked for alternate gateways.

They pay the inflation because really they feel It's easier. I usually tell those honest souls to secure a paypal card and use the card to buy coin directly. or build some serious trust.
509  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Andrew Bitcoiner / BitJack21 on: January 06, 2013, 11:32:06 PM
I'm like a moth to a flame with this thread I run in.circles anytime I post on it. As much as it might be true the mods only help those who are some.kind of VIP..... Heh this post was opened by a teenager a young one at that. As much intellect as the OP seems to carry for his age. It's hard to back him up. sure he's owed the money he threw in back. But this ends up being a written and proof of strike against coin..

The US government doesn't want "kids" gambleing. Hell you can't legally buy a playboy til your 18. And It's pretty clear nobody can buy contraband period.

So what do the feds see... even.local governed bodies... They see a teen enabled by Bitcoin to do exactly what they don't want them to do. I don't blame the mods for.not really touching this.
510  Other / Meta / Re: [IDEA] Create a reputation system in this forum. on: January 06, 2013, 03:31:25 AM

I think a rep system is a decent idea. However a tumbling vortex of.emotions can cause havoc abroad. I'd say base it on post quality. vote post by post. Also how many users ignore a user could influence the.over all quality of the user. a small transaction based.feedback system on the user.profile could also help.build credit or shun...
511  Economy / Lending / Looking for a rather hefty sum.of NMC on: January 05, 2013, 10:53:11 PM

 Hello everyone,

I've been a rather for hard advocate of NMC since well... I first got wind of it. It was actually through NMC I started tradeing and investing in Bitcoin. I have a little pipe dream here that I really would like to flower out into something a little more pro active.

A few months back with the help of a BTC-E user I was able to produce an awesome giveway. Basically what I did was a presentation to a local Linux user club on Crypto Currency. I took a head count and with that rough number came up with a plan to show off how a blockchain works. As well as some of what extras a user could find in the world of Crypto money.

The first meetup we talked all the basics. Pretty much touching.most of the.subjects you would.cover in a 26nin sit down with someone on the subject I figured some would over the course of time venture out alone and sure enough they did.

The big push the.second meeting was security, mineing hardware as will as a focus on this.community. This.club as a deepnet feddish as I do so by the end of the meeting NMC was a huge.focus.

The third and final.meetuo I found that 35% of the.membership had taken a push over the cliff.and found pleasure in the feedback they gave. a few of these members had  it faucets like mad men and exchanged a months worth of collecting BTC for NMC. From that point the rest was golden history. These individuals created and wher already starting to build something out of there.newly obtained .bit domains.

What ended.up also happening was a surge in non active club members caught on and decided to join the parry. by the end of the night I.dished out the.donated NMC that amounted to.about 100NMC. Each member was then enabled to purchase and keep the domain of choice for a substantial time. I gave about 8 NMC per member.

Fastforward to the now and I am finding out this.project really worked wonders. not only did a good number of folk learn. But they also have.sparked, lit and have begun to fule some rather awesome projects amongst themselves.

What I'd like to do is well... Do it again therr are several more groups around me. those groups wish to book some time so that the same can be done for them. Ofcourse I'm eager to do this. It's a splendid feeling to not only teach and shoot the shit.about coin. but the refresh of membership and excitenet about NMC on the side is priceless.

I have purchased around 300 NMC for this. However the.number needed far exceeds that of 300. Arounf 500  more of these coins will be.needed. Now I'm not countiing on even comming close to raiseing this but perhaps a few members would be willing to drop some my way.

At any rate I really appreciate you for reading this ether way. I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

512  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there an asset tracking software that supports Bitcoin? (Better than GnuCash) on: January 05, 2013, 07:32:04 PM

I think a fork would be the best option. I don't doubt the skills most developers have in this community. But really 200BTC could go a lot farther in forking and building crypto currency into the software.

Perhaps what would be more inviteing would be a way to imput custom currency with symbol and any other vital infomation the software needs to uniform things. We have individuals that work with more then just BTC I'm sure they would want to track those currencies as well. reguardless of how long, short or wide assed they ever become.

the more I read this the more I.can't help but scream scam. I hope not but... the vent has an excuse for everything. He can't talk to a lawyer because not only are they over priced but they are stupid.

He can't contract online for a job he in the beginning said he was able to do. he can't under sell his computer parts because he had no response. The family's are of no help for yet another excuse.

And hell It's on and on! I imagine his country is fucked but when was it so fucked it seemed to need sally struthers? for real something isn't right here.

Okay so I will send you 0.5btc to are your wifes tits. I can only assume she would be willing since you posted her in her undies. just sayin'. I mean I'm sure I won't be impressed or showing my friends but hey. bitches gadda work for you right?

Jesus Christ I've seen and read it all now

Dude you i can send you my wifes tits for 0.5 btc lol

Lmfao, maybe before I was married I'd be down. I just really don't get what I was looking at. "I'll have my wife in the picture" did he pull her ass out of bed and say "Alright baby show these yanks and euros your love handles so we can get some coin".

I know it seems rather trolling what I said... because maybe it was.... I just don't get it. he's hungry he needs to pay his water bill... if I'm hungry now I'm not going to want to wait to exchange BTC. I'd be asking for paypal or the likes ya know?

Shit I'd be asking for people just to ship my ass a can of Nescafe and a fuckin frozen breakfast sandwich.. Jus sayin' I mean.... yeah I wouldn't be plastering my wife up like that.
515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if someone STEALS FRC's 80% foundation's Private Key? on: January 05, 2013, 08:27:33 AM

I don't know.... honestly I'm going to try and give as logical of a point of view as I can....Ummm..

Yeah, so if I had a cash of bottles that I had at one point thought "Hey I'll recycle these bastards abd get some serious change out of them. Then later looked into the fule money I'd burn getting them to the recycle center abd realised "Hey I'm not makeing shit off this deal". Then placed those bottles in a shed and someone lifted them. I'd blow it off abd consider it a favor.

I really don't believe this coin is going to work out in the long run. For one the "Government" running it seems just as lost with it as the people useing it. It has plenty of water cooler talk... But more haters then it should have way to soon. We have a fork already that's intent is to "Bring it back to the people". Yet It's clearly a slap in the face to said spaced out and devs.. Stealing this grant money as they call it seems like a waste of time at this point.

I'm not saying this will be a long running opinion. But clearly It's not starting off well. I furthermore have to laugh like hell and joke as much as I can... concerning the idea of purchaseing free steam games with it. I understand It's a trade. But seriously the thread titles "Selling Xxx title for Yyy freicoins" key word selling.... yeah in my mind it cancels out the idea it holds any value whatsoever
516  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Andrew Bitcoiner / BitJack21 on: January 05, 2013, 02:53:51 AM
Well if you cab gather up all the people that have been fucked by this deal. You have a case otherwise take the loss... Figure that 13 and some change  will come back to haunt him. it will.

But I'd ask around see who else got shafted first then conspire. if you are going to spend this much effort on it you might as well do it right. ya never know this might be a hell of a lot bigger then small apples.

plenty of people just get frustrated and end up saying nothing. That's a true abd trialed victim
517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: What benefit does leaving my client on provide to the network? on: January 05, 2013, 02:38:51 AM
indeed if you are speaking to me. I've looked at this at length. my findings aee it could be something worth offering users in the sence of downloading the block chain to new nodes abd or a node that's all of a sudden decided to pop back in after being offline for months. The transaction end is so nill that no.. in the case of paying for security it would be pointless.

you have a slew of services that require a working node in order to operate. such ass hotwallets, online wallets, the exchanges, the crypto stock exchanges etc. so in thinking ot would ever be tottaly in need of payoffs for security... no.. but bandwidth yes, that might help some of ya that suffer the choke hold of isp throttle.
518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: What benefit does leaving my client on provide to the network? on: January 05, 2013, 12:23:21 AM
Yeah what they said.... It would however be nice tp garnish some BTC from it. atleast.I've always thought that. even if a Bitcoin was given weekly. ofcourse the problem then would be everyone would throw a client on a cheap vps abd pump.my solution for this would be to register nodes. but then you have the privacy argument.

520  Other / Off-topic / Re: When did you start your first website? on: January 05, 2013, 12:09:46 AM

I'd say around 1996. I had a tripod hosted site pertaining to Atari 2600 games. I collected all that shit abd wrote about it posted pictures with an espon camera that was total trash. but at the time I felt like king shit.

My parents used to freak because this ofcourse was way before social networking was any kind of meme. I had a guest book and people always wanted to get ahold of me for trades etc.

The irony was I turned out to be one of the first ROM archives online for quite sometime. never got pounced by Tripod for it.

I'd really love to find it again on archive. I did once and spent hours in critical judgement of my newb codeing skillz of the time
