501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will survive in "cashless society" ?? on: July 05, 2018, 02:56:54 AM
It is said now China is a "cashless society". Use of debit cards and credit cards on online & offline stores/shops, pay bills etc..

USA and UK/England are into use of credit cards and debit cards in a big way for online & offline stores/shops, pay bills etc..

Will Bitcoin survive in "cashless society" where money becomes digital/numbers ??

Just like Bitcoin which does not have a physical presence, money/cash will not have physical presence in "cashless society/countries"

First, to clarify your claim, china is far from being considered a cashless society. Maybe, just maybe, cashless transactions are thriving in their large metropolitan cities like Beijing. But we have to remember that the largest part of china is made up of villages and provinces that are still living in poverty. The country's economy is rich though.

Bitcoin will definitely survive in a cashless society but it should be coupled with real progress in the conversion of the world into a really digital world. The progress should be parallel.
502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some people treat BTC as ponzi scheme? on: July 05, 2018, 02:11:42 AM
I really wonder to some people who think bitcoin is a ponzi scheme. It has made so many people rich and doing better till now.
But I don't understand the reason behind this type of thought?

You have to understand that if and when someone does not know the truth, he or she will be able to create a lot of things in his or her mind. This is what is happening to those whose knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency is equal to nothing. So, this is not something that we should be angry about.  We need to enlighten them and explain to them the truth about Bitcoin and crypto. Let us start from the people that are immediately around us.
503  Economy / Speculation / Re: Those who sold bitcoin are in for a big loss on: July 04, 2018, 04:16:00 AM
Montana to be a Bitcoin Mining Hub

Check it out!

“This is obviously going to be revolutionary.”

This would be the second large mining operation to find Montana in as many years. Back in 2016, Project Spokane, LLC launched its site near Missoula. It’s already one of the largest energy consumers in the region, housing a 20 megawatt facility, employing at least 25 locals.

How is this post related to your subject line? This is all about a Bitcoin mining hub which is about to be built somewhere in Montana. Will this help the price of Bitcoin recover in any way? Those who are selling are either losing or gaining. We do not know certainly whether they are selling higher or cheaper than their buying price. What is certain is that those who sold their Bitcoins will not anymore make a bigger profit out of it.
504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you recover from your loss in bitcoin investment? on: July 04, 2018, 03:38:32 AM
My losses are mostly out of the natural flow of the market prices. The amount of my Bitcoins remain the same but the value is falling down. I do not sell too early. In fact, I sell too late, causing the prices to fall down from the all time high price. My way of recovery is to hodl a little more time and let the price recover. That is not a big problem to me. I am more than willing to hodl and wait for the recovery period.
505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2018 Ethereum price.... on: July 03, 2018, 05:29:42 AM
I like it when someone will predict the price of Ethereum, or any other crypto for that matter, in a realistic way. It is highly probable that Ethereum will be reaching $2,500 to $3,000 at the end of the year. Ethereum is the strongest altcoin, second to Bitcoin overall. The future of Ethereum is even bigger with its entrance in so many countries, establishing partnership. Ethereum is openly supported even by the banks.
506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When the World Cup ends, will ETH and BTC rise? on: July 01, 2018, 01:41:55 AM
Is there any significant link between the two? It seems to me that if there is any link between the World Cup and the rise of Ethereum and Bitcoin, it would not be significant enough that it will create a considerable dent in their graphs. If any, there will be a significant effect of the World Cup to the volumes and prices of the tokens that are created for the sake of Football. I have stumbled upon Football Coin and Goal Bonanza. There must be some others out there.
507  Economy / Economics / Re: The money started coming back to the cryptocurrency market on: June 30, 2018, 02:51:20 AM
The total cryptocurrency market was $238 Billion a few hours ago and yet the market is almost $260 billion.

Lol! It is too early to celebrate and make some conclusion when we all knows that Bitcoin is always fluctuating. We really don't know what will going to happen in the coming days, weeks and months that it will might in dip again making your heart to be broken again better to wait and see if this market is going to be stable again or just a temporary.

Well, it is not bad to celebrate a little, is it? After all, the past few days have been very rough for crypto. Billions in USD were lost so quickly in the total market cap. This may not be a lasting pump, what we have right now, but I fervently hope this is it. This appears to be a stronger one. Let's see in the next several hours if this will gain strength or quickly subside.

And no dumping for now please.  Wink
508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What bitcoin brings to its users? on: June 30, 2018, 01:20:45 AM
I watch a lot of information on the television talk about bitcoin (mainly the news about the bankruptcy, the bad side of bitcoin). On the other hand, I read a lot of online articles about the benefits of Bitcoin. What does Bitcoin offer the user?

Please be careful when you watch Bitcoin in the television. I have watched several of those and I can say that the people in front are not actually well-informed on what they are talking about. They missed almost all the important characteristics of Bitcoin. Bankruptcy? That is what I am talking about.

To make it concise, Bitcoin can give back to you your precious freedom. That has long been taken away from you by the banks.
509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Impressio is the newest bounty campaign which turned out to be a scam. on: June 30, 2018, 12:33:02 AM
First of all, I doubt if this is the newest bounty campaign that turned out to be a scam. For sure, as of today another scam bounty is posted in the bounty thread. This has been the pattern. Impressio, if proven to be a scam, will only be a grain of sand in the ocean. Anyway, the date shows that it has just ended more recently. Perhaps giving them time is the proper call. The stakes are also updated it seems. Let us all wait for this.
510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can world Government Kill Crypto? on: June 29, 2018, 07:31:44 AM
That is right, the governments cannot kill crypto. They cannot even kill crypto exchanges if these exchanges would really want to operate despite strong restrictions from the governments themselves. Look at Binance, they used to be, or perhaps even until now, operating away from somewhere the governments do not know. In general, I underestimate the power of the governments. They cannot even kill poverty, illiteracy, crimes, heavy traffic, and so on.
511  Economy / Speculation / Re: Perfect Time to Buy! on: June 29, 2018, 04:50:28 AM
This is actually good time to buy. Yesterday the bitcoin price hit lowest for this month and now it will move up steadily.
This is one chaotic situation in which investors want to invest and the ones who already own some portfolios are panicking about the future of their investment. It is actually that curious side of one’s mentality and nothing else.

So yeah it is the right and best time to own some good number of potential coins on a low cost and make good long term plans rather than going for short term plans and hence short profit.

Then I suppose there is an ongoing battle between hodlers who want to dump and investors who want to buy. I am full of positive thoughts that the investors will be enticed by the very cheap prices right now. If I were in their shoes, I would also choose to invest when the market is down rather than when it is up. But we all know that not all investors think alike. There are investors who are actually thinking the way the panic dumpers do. So instead of getting in while the prices are cheap, they are staying put feeling afraid.
512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto currency in five years! on: June 29, 2018, 04:08:12 AM
Legendary investor Tim Draper is confident that in five years all will use crypto currency. According to Draper, the technological shift that we can observe now will be more significant than the transition from the Stone Age to the Bronze Age. Answering the question about how he sees the current situation in comparison with the period when he invested in the technologies of web 1.0 and 2.0, he replied that web technologies and transformed the concept of information, while blocking has the potential to transform almost all industries, including government services.

Blockchain has a really bright future. There is no disagreement about that. Even the banks and the governments are now starting to see the real and practical beauty of it and many are now starting to use it. However, with these powerful and authoritarian institutions creating their own blockchains, I am beginning to see Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies getting lost in the game. I hope not.
513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will kill itself on: June 28, 2018, 06:48:39 AM
That's a significant contentious factor to me. But this is actually only a big issue to governments, banks, AMLC, and other institutions, especially government ones, whose mandate is to implement the laws or push forward whatever it is that goes opposite to the radical features of Bitcoin. As to the general population, these features might be very convenient and favorable to them. Say for instance anonymity. This is something the general population truly appreciates but could be considered a big hindrance to those in the anti-terrorism, anti-fraud, and anti-crime agencies.
514  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you think its the right time to sell Bitcoin ? on: June 28, 2018, 05:50:50 AM
In December of 2017, it was a good time to sell Bitcoin. Right now, it is not only wrong to sell, it is also foolish. I don't recommend people to sell Bitcoin when its price is less than 1/3 of its all time high price in December of last year. The market is suffering right now. If you sell, that will add another blow to the market. And no matter how soft it may be, it is still adding a negative weight to it. Try to HODL and help the market recover.
515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I continue to invest? on: June 28, 2018, 05:13:21 AM
I had invested one ICO previously, it failed although I didn't contribute a huge amount on it. A news yesterday made analysis on blockchain ICO projects, mentioning 92% of these ICO projects are failed.. Should I stop investing the others or any really potential ICO suggest?

If, until now, you are still confused as to how to efficiently pick the legit ICO in a market that is already full of scams, then it is wisest not to proceed investing in ICOs. There is so much risk there. Or if you really want to invest and risk, please put your due diligence efforts a notch higher so that you will also reduce the risks. And if you want to consider, reduce your investment amounts in ICOs as well. That will also reduce the financial risks.
516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the market gonna rise again???? on: June 28, 2018, 04:34:48 AM
Recently we've seen the bloodbath in crypto market which is not so irregular in market place . But the question is also remaining, Is crypto gonna rise again Huh Or like the haters are saying, Crypto will never rise Huh  Huh

It will rise again, at least as far as my personal experiences are concerned. I have been here for quite a significant while already and I have learned that even if the prices of the crypto market will go down very low, there will always be a time that they will fly, even higher than their last all time highs. This is something that you can easily check with the history of the prices of cryptocurrencies. What the haters are saying are not in consonance with the facts.
517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Continuity of Power and Influence of the Banks and the Governments on: June 26, 2018, 03:44:50 AM
I don't think that governments and banks are supporting cryptocurrencies but they are willing to adopt a blockchain technology to optimise their process. However, the core concept of blockchain is all about decentralization and when it comes to the government's projects, I don't think that government will anytime share the control with anyone else including the users so it doesn't make any sense to me in that way. It is true that we don't have the mass maturity yet and hence any news from the government might affect the price in the domestic territory.

At this age of cryptocurrency development, there are still a lot of undiscovered territories in between the banks and the governments and crypto. For example, we talk of Bitcoin possibly becoming the main currency of the world. We shall ask, will the governments accept that? Will they ever accept a decentralized financial system? And even if they do, will the rich bankers, that actually dictate the decisions of the government leaders around the world, allow such a thing to happen?

There are so many other uncharted territories in between. It is exciting to see how things eventually unfold.
518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India closes doors for Crypto Currency on: June 25, 2018, 07:01:43 AM
The issue in India about cryptocurrency appears very murky to me. I am a little bit confused of the real situation on the ground. The best people that will give us the clearest picture of the cryptocurrency situation there are nothing but the Indian people themselves. It started with a sort of a ban that ended up lifted if I am not mistaken. What ensued was an investigation of the previous policy, that was found out to be without the backing of a proper study or research. Well, let us wait for the final and official verdict on the matter. Either way, I am sure that crypto will still thrive there.
519  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I wish I dump all the BTC in late DEC 2017 on: June 24, 2018, 01:49:20 PM
what a year, wish I dump all the coin in late DEC lol

and today, spend the 100% from that capital and bought it again, so u still holding the same amount as late DEC while steady with the 900% profits..

My Bitcoins are still the same, that is, in numbers. In terms of value? I have already learned to avoid looking at the shorter term. I am now looking at the longer future. I fully trust Bitcoin but I also learned to accept the fact that there will be a longer waiting for me. No need to regret. Everything's happened already. We cannot turn back time. No worries, everything will get back to the good old December days. Perhaps it will take another December for the price to bounce back.
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The End Of The Bounty. on: June 24, 2018, 01:19:31 AM
The bounty won't end.

Nobody could give ICOs and other crypto projects the exposure they really need the way this forum does. Look at how this forum is promoting crypto projects. You can use this forum to have the word about your project marketed not just here but also to Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, Steemit, Medium, Youtube, and so many other social media, blog, and other platforms. And all these in exchange of tokens alone. If you hire a marketing firm for all of these tasks, it will be worth thousands and thousands of USD.
