Scusate se non cerco ma la cosa sarebbe fin troppo lunga per me che non me ne sono mai interessato; quanto fanno in hasrate/consumi per chip, in linea di massima?

Anche io all'inizio ho avuto le stesse perplessità, però 2 cose mi hanno convinto a sperimentarlo:

• Il credito/debito non è necessariamente una cosa negativa, è uno strumento
• Il fatto di rendere esplicito il rapporto di fiducia che siamo costretti comunque a usare quando abbiamo a che fare con il nostro sistema finanziario (le banche, le carte di credito, paypal, postepay e persino gli exchanger di bitcoin), lo vedo come un grandissimo pregio di Ripple, che ti costringe a rifletterci su, a costo di rimanerci penalizzato

Sarebbe interessante analizzare le differenze a questo punto tra la moneta/debito tradizionale, e il BTC, che comunque non ha valore intrinseco, e a cui tutti pensiamo in termini di fiat, chi più chi meno. E' forse un credito spersonalizzato e senza vincoli temporali, garantito dall'intera comunità?

Detto questo, Ripple è un ponte tra il sistema monetario tradizionale e quello moderno (ancora futuristico) di internet e delle criptovalute: si trascina alcuni difetti e offre molte opportunità ; )

Ma nell'engine center (o come cacchio si chiama non ricordo) ti riconosce la scheda giusta? Io per il si e per il no farei un'installazione pulita (anche perchè l'sdk so che bisogna installarlo, ma non ho neanche la più pallida idea di cosa sia, è 'na roba per sviluppatori!  )

Il punto è che, tranne gli XRP, tutto all'interno di Ripple è un IOU (I Owe You: io ti devo. In pratica un debito/credito).
Si inviano, ad esempio, 3 bitcoins ad un gateway; questo li tiene "bloccati" in un suo wallet e ti invia un IOU di 3 BTC su Ripple. A questo punto si possono scambiare quei 3 BTC/IOU con IOUs di altre valute o della stessa valuta ma di gateway differenti, e ritirarli presso il gateway che li ha emessi quando si vuole (per questo si attribuisce fiducia al gateway: noi ci fidiamo che ci darà bitcoins veri in cambio dei suoi IOU). Teniamo presente che quando inviamo i nostri bitcoins ad un exchange e poi li vediamo apparire nel nostro bilancio all'interno dello stesso exchange, anche quello è un'IOU, nel senso che ci fidiamo che, ad esempio, MtGox ce li ridarà indietro quando facciamo il withdraw.

Cocì come si possono emettere IOU per BTC, EUR, USD, LTC etc... si possono emettere per qualsiasi codice a 3 lettere. Iniziare a sperimentare con codici che non rappresentano valute reali serve a prendere confidenza con il sistema senza rischiare di perdere qualche soldo, tutto qua ; )

I am not here since the very beginning of bitcoin (only 2 years that i read this forum), but i bet that some "BTC givaway if you give me your private key" MUST have existed

Your logic is flawed, you are obsessed by Ripple, I don't know why and i'm not interested in.

There are a lot of other methods to explain what you think is a problematic feature of Ripple, you could have done it with fake currencies, for example; but you preferred to put at risk the money of people who trusted YOU, not Ripple. Risking theyr money, and reputation of this forum and cryptocurrencies at all.
You really deserve a scam tag and i am very disappointed of the admins, which must be your good friends to let you act like that.

qxzn, you're right, but you watch the system from a trader perspective, and, for advanced users, there actually is a way to distinguish between different IOUs and trade them.

But a simply consumer should only be able to pay someone through a gateway (or many) which he believes to be trustworthy.
The problem is that this feature, in my opinion, is a strong point of Ripple, because it allows money to "ripple" through users and find a pathway to anyone you want to give your IOUs, in whatever currency you want.

Deprived, whether you like it or not, but it isn't automatic, they actually told Ripple to consider the two as equal in value by trusting TradeFortress.
