Also I am guessing it is a sign of the times, but I noticed CampBX is not on the list.
502  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MoneyPak on: July 21, 2014, 09:15:25 PM
I forgot who it was, but someone on this board once said everything can be reversed. There are just different levels of how hard and soft payments are.

PayPal is very soft.
Western Union and MoneyGram are hard.
MoneyPaks are somewhere in the middle.

When trading, you should do what works best for you. I personally cannot believe some people still sell for PayPal. But hey, it works for them. Or at least they think it does.
503  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Greendot will discontinue MoneyPak reloads by early next year. on: July 21, 2014, 09:10:23 PM
Good. Sick of seeing all the reversible MP scamming and people getting their accounts shut down for redeeming amounts far under the "limit".

If you're never going to buy any products or services with BTC, only buy/sell for cash on LocalBitcoins and Mycelium Local Trader, etc. PLEASE.

MoneyPak reversals are far less common than PayPal reversals.

Of course local trades for cash would be great but they are few and far between for many buyers and sellers.

Boars Head pepper jack or havarti with Sausalito turkey breast.

You want real privacy and value?

$5 throw away phones from dollar general. Switch your number up every month. Hell, every week. No internet access on them plus they don't even ask for your name. Plus, you can pick what area code you want.

Pay with cash. Throw away and eat the sim card. Boom.

I thought all pump and dumps must be approved by commissoner fontas?

LBC is head and shoulders above all others. No other exchange, centralized or decentralized, allows users as many payment methods.

And there is almost no way to buy coins faster.

You may pay more, but you are paying for convenience and variety. Totally worth it.

Of all the traditional exchanges I have used BTC-e the most.

It'd be nice if CampBX reps posted here more often.

511  Economy / Trading Discussion / Greendot will discontinue MoneyPak reloads by early next year. on: July 21, 2014, 03:26:29 PM
http://www.komonews.com/news/consumer/Green-Dot-phasing-out-MoneyPak-PIN--267741551.html

NBCnews reports this as well.

In short, Greendot company is getting rid of MoneyPak reloads with the scratch off pins. They are trying to push their "reload at the register" service, which forces customers to have their prepaid debit cards in-hand during the time of reload.

To anyone who uses MoneyPaks in BTC trading, this is a major blow.

Vanilla reloads are the number one alternative, but rumor has it that they are following Greendot's lead and doing something similar. Vanilla traders may have already noticed that many retailers are getting rid of the scratch off Vanilla reload cards and opting for the barcode alternatives that require you to have your card present at the time of reload.

Moneypaks will be available until early next year.

There are other pin reload options, but none as widely available as MoneyPaks.

Moneypaks are on their way out next year. Use them while you can.

519  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is it legal to trade on BTC-e? on: July 08, 2014, 11:54:25 PM
No KYC/AML but look how hard it is for americans to get usd on there.

That's a natural AML layer of security right there.
520  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Am I crazy to verify identity with cryptsy? Social Security #? Driver's license? on: July 08, 2014, 11:42:41 PM
So is ssn required or not for usd deposit?
