I registered a domain for the pool, so we are totally intending to open it up.  http://www.coindesk.com/coin-miners-dogged-mining-pool-security-flaws/ this kind of stuff makes me a little nervous though; we need to take some time to ensure we can properly lock everything down.

If you would be open to it, I can point a few people your way that can help in this matter... even if it is just answers. I know a few pool operators that already have a ton of experience going through these types of fortifications.

We are now solo mining doge in our own private pool. Give me a few days to work on getting the rest of the pool software setup so I can publish an API back to the coinninja.com website. Our pool is totally DDOS proof (it's behind our firewall).  It's nerve racking waiting to hit our first block.

Please open this up to your owners so we can help... I have my own gridseed now as well as my GPU and I would happily mine at our DOGE pool.
503  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed - Group Buy]Gridseed USB ASIC sha/scrypt miner 0.55 [USA Only][Batch #2] on: March 01, 2014, 06:07:02 PM
Received my Gridseed miner today as promised by zoomhash... ordered Thursday afternoon around 11 AM CST, got shipping confirmation about 6 PM CST and it arrived on my doorstep today at noon EST.

I would include pics and hashing info but sadly they were sold out of power supplies to include with this shipment so I had to buy it off eBay... it arrives Monday.
504  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The Chili – 30+GH/s BFL based Bitcoin Miner Assembly on: March 01, 2014, 05:01:51 AM
I would also like to throw out there that mine has been rock solid... and only got better when I changed from the Arctic II with just pads to the H60 with pads and the already layered paste on the block... went from ~31 GH/s to an easy 33-35 depending on ambient... been a weird winter around my parts...
505  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed - Group Buy]Gridseed USB ASIC sha/scrypt miner 0.55 [USA Only][Batch #2] on: March 01, 2014, 04:56:35 AM
I got 52 units on the way and should be here to me Tuesday (March 4, 2014). I will be out of town for a few days and will be unable to ship them till Friday.

So you finally got an update from them on shipping? I have ordered a few direct as well and I have to say the communication is really poor directly from the manufacturer. I am trying to contact them about setting up a US distributor to handle Importing, Support and Shipping to North America.

they already have one... zoomhash has tracking for mine confirmed delivering tomorrow.
506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] "Cubits" v3 (QBT) Sha256D Pow + Pos on: March 01, 2014, 04:50:15 AM
I accidentally didn't update my client and then generated a pos block  Cry now when I use the new client it says my amount is 0 even though the blockchain says i have all my money, I tried resyncing like 10 times plus I tried rescanning the wallet multiple times can anyone help.

Safest bet... just export all the privkeys for the addresses in your wallet.

Don't know how to do that? I have a post in my history on the CENT/DBL thread about this... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=359000.msg4867324#msg4867324

It takes a bit of patience... but it is a 100% method to retain the coins you have on the REAL chain of any coin after you resync with the newest client and chain.

www.zoomhash.com has them in stock in california. Forum users reported receiving these units within 1-3 days.

Just paid ~.462 BTC for 1 unit overnighted. Let's see how quickly it arrives since it is noted Batch 3 shipping Feb 28 from L.A. CA.
508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NYAN] NyanCoin - ★★★V1.2 Released! KGW Implemented! MANDATORY UPDATE ★★★ on: February 26, 2014, 09:20:13 PM
you guys know that kgw does not keep multipools off the coin.  kgw actually has the opposite effect of what you guys want.  kgw keeps coins at or near profitability constantly for multipools.   Several coins have KGW and are constantly mined by the coin switching pools.

You are correct except for the last part about profitability... it keeps multipools on a KGW coin but the profitability it reports IS A LIE!!!! They are mining at a much lower profitability rate than the RPC call for difficulty implies.

Not quite as good as last week. But, we are ~18.59% to ROI in two weeks.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but according to my calculation (based on the scrypt rig on group 4 performance), it would take 120 days for this unit to break even.

http://www.middlecoin.com/reports/1PNmf8jPm8YPs7svGhTkAULWsKR9H2z5Xx.html

5000 KHs would generate .065 BTC a day

->>
300 KHs would generate .004 BTC a day

for .489 BTC , it would take 120 days to break even

It's just my estimation. Any input/feedback would be appreciated.

We will see if it holds true but... the newest firmware has these pegged at 550 to 600 KH/s so... you may be looking at a 60-70 day ROI... especially with no hosting fee for life.
513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TAK] TAKEICOIN *SHA256* Decentralized Currency. Centralized Purpose. on: February 18, 2014, 01:38:20 AM
I think that takeicoin will be at cryspty not at these awful exchange

What happen here??!

STFU... all you and the others like you do is complain... for fucks sake this coin is not even TWO WEEKS OLD!!!!!!

If cryptsy wants to add it they will... I saw straight from the horses mouth (BitJohn) that they want to add more coins but currently they need to finish other priorities like stabilizing the exchange and increasing server capacity.

These awful exchanges... all you want to do is dump your coins and run anyways so who cares where you do it? SciFi-ex.com was built from scratch, the dev is ALWAYS working on it and is respected in the community for his efforts... if you do not like it... STFU and do not use it. End of story. The rest of us who have had a great experience using it will continue to do so and report the small problems as we find them.

BAH I sound like a grumpy old man but FOR FUCKS SAKE... I am over this spoiled ass, instant gratification mentality the majority of people seem to have here... if that is you... just STFU and don't bother posting... you just look ignorant and impatient.

With that said, congrats to SciFi-ex... I already sent some over to sell to people at a reasonable price.

Are you almost done crying/raging? Everyone is ENTITLED to their own opinion, as are you. Go ask your mother for a hug and try not to hate people so much. We don't care about the observations you've made about society. We may read them though Smiley Have a great day, no more QQ

LOLOL wow... such a sad day when people like this can't say something without hiding behind a shill account. You are so entitled to your opinion, but scared enough that you can't state it from your own account? Man/woman up and say what you mean like you were doing it in person, and not from behind a sad newbie account you made just for my entertainment.

Horrible that BCT let newbies out of jail instead of the required time/posts needed before... this is the result.

You crazy? Do you really think that the problem of the coin in the logo? Take care of business, and not chatter with the change of the logo. This coin manages official? Only officials can engage in unnecessary works instead of what would address the problem.

Hmm... activity 6... yawn...

Great way to start off... exceeded my estimates by almost 9%! That includes the downtime on the GPU rig!

I liked the money idea, think this would get you in trouble? I'm pretty sure people get the reference but without his face, I think you should be in the clear. The stars can be replaced with text, whatever, just messing around.

Change the sleeve color and add a "pinky" finger and all chance of a copyright issue goes away.

To speed this process up, I'm going to offer a 10k bountie for an idea for the coin logo (if used), or 100k for the actual coin logo made by you (if used).

Edit: I've finished 1 coin logo, I'm going to make a couple more and then I'll post them for you guys to vote on.

Why not make it a generic pic of a fist full of money like this one:

http://www.freestockphotos.biz/stockphoto/963

With the Frycoin / Shut up and take my money! around it?  I'd make it myself, but cbf finding where I put my old copy of photoshop.

+1 to this idea.

Yes this was also what I thought... fist of money and the words of the slogan around the coin.

Get it made and give this man 10K FRY.

Our donation page is about 99% done and will be launched in next 24 hours.

New wallets will also be launched to accommodate this page.

Truckin along Smiley

I hate to spoil the party, but at current hashrate, once this is on an exchange, and the inevitable addition to coinwarz happens, the mine2dumpers will break the value of this coin down to match or be less than mining BTC... that is just how that particular cycle of this type of coin mining and exchanging goes. IT WILL BE BROUGHT TO AN EQUAL OR LESSER VALUE OF MINING BTC since it runs on the same hardware.

Here is the ugly... at currebt hashrate, each TAK is only worth 120 satoshis. That is just a rough calculation based on me getting a 1K TAK payout every ~4.5 hours currently. That yields 5,333 TAK per day on average for me on a 34 GH/s miner. Considering the average return on that on BTC is only 0.0065 BTC per day, you can easily see this will quickly be taken advantage of and TROUNCED.

If you want the value to stay where we are all trading it.. which is 0.000025 (2500 satoshis) each, the nethash needs to increase 20 fold.

While that is completely feasible once the major announcements are made, be warned that if we do not break ~400 TH/s nethash, you will not see this on the exchange for more than 500 satoshis per TAK and that is my estimate @ 85 TH/s if we can get there.

You want this to be valuable and make a big splash for charities... us holders need to PROMOTE PROMOTE PROMOTE!

demonmaestro,

I held off sending BTC specifically because of all the craziness these last few days... I am still interested in 1 unit but now I am in a better position to just pay with PayPal.

Please try not to lock the order before giving us a heads up as to when you are about to send payment and get this batch ordered. I would like to pay you when you know you can send the order in.

I will PM you as well.
