501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what is the fairest bitcoin betting game you know? on: May 30, 2017, 05:48:53 AM
I like to play at bitvest.io and I like playamo which is where I have won many times. Otherwise it all feels shady, but that is probably paranoid sounding.  Casinos are profitable mostly for the casino.
502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips newsletter (horse racing) on: May 30, 2017, 05:46:14 AM
I missed this post some how. I would like to see what the newsletter looks like, please pm me a link or an email I can reach you for a subscription. Thank you!
503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to choose hi or lo in dice games ? what you have in mind when you gamble ? on: May 30, 2017, 05:39:11 AM
I like to stick to one side and double up on loss.  It requires a deeper pocket but you can make some awesome money.
504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: List your favorite GAMBLING site... on: May 30, 2017, 05:37:40 AM
I love bitvest.io, playamo, and bitstarz the most.  Then I like lucky games too. Oh and I cant forget good ol Yabtcl always, yabtcl is the only "lottery" that I can play that is just like keno.
505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we still gambling while we always lose? on: May 30, 2017, 05:34:56 AM
Most gamblers that keep on playing are not the ones that always lose. If you always lost then there wouldn't be anything you are chasing. A gambler almost always wins. The problem is not about winning or losing, it's about expectations being too high because of that one time when you were super lucky. That's the white whale you are chasing. Lower your expectations and you will find yourself winning much more than you'd think.
506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japanese Airlines to accept bitcoins soon on: May 30, 2017, 05:33:35 AM
Such a phenomenon to witness isn't it?  Bitcoin is spreading so quickly and this is very encouraging to me.  The world should take notice!
507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust core? on: May 30, 2017, 05:31:49 AM
This graph could also be used to show that lots of users are leaving... Put the market share of bitcoin vs rest of altcoins together.

Some may be leaving, most may not.

I think that you mean "leaving" by the price falling for a while. That was pure speculation, based on the fear of the hard fork and the uncertainty.
As SegWit direction seems to get more traction and BU seems to lose, the price started rising again.

I am not happy with the mempool getting full so often. I am not happy that it's not "fixed" after so many discussions. But there has to be a better solution than BU.
I advocated the "no limit at all" solution until I was proven to be wrong. Now I listen to the ones that seem to know what they are doing and advocating the solution that has a chance to be better than just postpone the problem for some more months.

The marker share comparison give us no information at all. Money flows between BTC and alts and back continuously, making some speculators rich and making the others wonder what's happening.

I always thought it should raise more eyebrows when one group repeatedly grows richer on the losses in trading.
508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does experience matter in gambling? on: May 30, 2017, 05:30:42 AM
That would depend on the type of gambling you were doing. That would depend on the type of game as well. Poker against another person requires certain skillets to win. Poker against a random number generator on the other hand, requires only the skill to be able to push a button.
509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Barry Silbert segwit agreement with >80% miner agreement. on: May 30, 2017, 05:28:13 AM
I think the best solution in this situation would be Core to support Segwit2MB.

That's probably the desired goal of this agreement.  All the drama queens in this thread were assuming that the miners were going to suddenly fork away without developer support, but if you think about it, that seems pretty unlikely.  This whole thing could just be the miners simply saying "come a little closer to our stance and you might have a deal", although admittedly including a pretty strong ultimatum in the process.  Plus all the 'Chicken-Little' crybabies can't seem to take solace from the fact that this completely derails even the slightest possibility of 'emergent consensus' happening.

After some consideration, I think my first impression was wrong.  In all likelihood, this isn't an escalation, this is a concession from miners.  SegWit is happening and BU isn't.  The rift in the community just shrank a little (but I fully expect everyone on the forums/reddit/etc to act the opposite and keep going full retard at each other like their lives depended on it).

And if people don't want 2MB straight away, you know what you need to do.
This is brilliant!  I especially like the descriptive text that refers to the emergent consensus factor.  "chicken-little cry babies"  are just the right words, my stomach aches from laughter.
510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to control greed on gambling? on: May 30, 2017, 05:27:38 AM
Interesting question. I was able to conquer my greedy little voice in my head telling me to keep going and win more.
Here's what I did......
I stopped seeing balance as money.
I instead, began to see it from a statistical point of view. I started to see my balance as points and the house(casino) had more points than me.
Most BTC casinos offer stats for you to view.
Once I made it my mission to remove the negative from my overall profit it became a contest of me against the Cairo. Not me against the games.
I have removed the negative from most my profit stats.
Once you conquer greed, you will win.
511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reminder: Be Open and Helpful To New People To Bitcoin on: May 30, 2017, 05:25:35 AM
I totally agree with the original poster.  Crypto-snobs are the worst.  I have been biting my tongue for a couple years, but hey, enough with the cranky pants ya grumpy butts!  LOL I love the idea of optimism in crypto-communities.
512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think? on: May 30, 2017, 05:21:58 AM
I know one thing ,  the richest of the rich do not enjoy spending money on taxes and if they aim to avoid the hand of the IRS I would bet they would funnel plenty through the digital waves, not that I encourage such shenanigans.
513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can trading be considered as gambling?? on: May 30, 2017, 05:20:27 AM
Some might consider trading to be gambling. I on the other hand, see it as trading. The results of trading are not based off of randomness or luck. There is a market and statistic for every trade. If you have experience, these statistics can be read and understood enough to make an educated decision. There are billionaires out there that started trading with nothing in their banks. Having has never done that for anyone.
514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you convince people into you using Bitcoin? on: May 30, 2017, 05:16:22 AM
I agree it is a waste of time to CONVINCE anyone of the many reasons they should convert to bitcoin.  I do however strongly feel that statistics should do the talking.  Try printing up a chart showing the price of btc from 2009 to now.  It speaks for itself and it wows everyone.
515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING NEWS: Russia Adopting Bitcoin. Price Explosion Imminent!! on: May 30, 2017, 05:13:34 AM
It is a rapidly spreading phenomenon, and although we all saw it coming, I am still shocked at the way bitcoin is being adopted world wide.  WoW!
516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: May 30, 2017, 05:12:29 AM
I would say that one small investment would be a waste of time money and energy. Several small investments would be considered by some to be a wise strategy. I would recommend in this case not to choose a Bitcoin casino as the profit margins are more or less consistent. I would suggest putting several small investments twits a market that has potential for growth.
517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: International Money Transfer on: May 30, 2017, 05:06:19 AM
I am sure you found out by now that for most circumstances the fees for transferring fiat are insane.  Like through the roof and yet, bitcoin fees are pretty small in reality.
518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: That moment when you buy 1BTC at $2500 on: May 30, 2017, 04:59:12 AM
I am quoting myself a year ago:

That technology is known as blockchain technology, and it is going to be EVERYWHERE soon.

I highly recommend focusing a portion of your future Investments in Bitcoin and anything related to blockchain technology.  These are the rising trends in all sectors of finance.  I vow to personally invest continuously in Bitcoin, even if only in tiny amounts, as often as I can because I am predicting great riches to all who buy in the next few years.  We are at the golden dawn of great change. Wealth is in the future, thanks to Bitcoin and the  "Blockchain”  chain technology from which our beloved Bitcoin was born.

I encourage you to venture into a search of your own , and decide if bitcoin investing is right for you.

You will be glad if you do.

.  ~~~~~~~~~~~~

And then I spent instead of saved so now, when I pay 2500 for a coin I wince in agony, it will continue upward though so keep positive, invest happily and profits will follow.
519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 7 years ago... you could have earned almost $15,000 at today's value in 3 sec... on: May 30, 2017, 04:51:15 AM
Gosh when you say it like that it makes me wanna punch myself, like Tyler Durden in the fight club. I will just wait for time travel then, go deliver that ONE PIZZA, and be a millionaire. Hindsight is 20/20.
520  Economy / Economics / Re: What percentage of people on Earth will own Bitcoin by 2020 on: May 29, 2017, 09:35:46 PM
My original reply was around 5 percent but I am going to bump it to a higher number at the risk of being ridiculed.   Many cultures are actually beginning to devalue their cash and are bringing bitcoin onboard instead.  It is a cool phenomenon!  This is history in the making !
