501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: January 08, 2018, 08:50:01 PM
Dash and Monero are at similar volumes now, I wonder which one will win, it's a head to head fight. (best to be diversified though)
502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: January 08, 2018, 04:48:26 PM
Synereo integrates Changelly’s API, enables users to purchase AMPs using credit cards and any cryptocurrency within its interface

Hmm. So if people can buy AMPs using Changelly, who is the counterparty doing the selling?

Changelly is a "taker" system, who is grabbing liquidity from "maker" exchanges like Bittrex, Poloniex and others.
503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: January 08, 2018, 12:19:30 PM
I invest in this altcoin in 2016 before the second ICO and still holding few of these corners. This project was very promising back then and I thought it would complete with the Steamit platform. Now 2 years later, this project is still the same ...
You have invested this coin so early that the current price should have been several times more than when you bought it. It's very straight.

Well there was some bumpy roads initially, so the progress got delayed a little bit, but by the looks of it, I feel that 2018 will be a great year. Their roadmap is undeniably well planned, and by the looks of it, the userbase is growing.

I  think by the rules of the network effect ,we only need about 5% userbase to reach critical treshold before it can go viral.

For Bitcoin this was about 10-20 million users, for Synereo it might be less since it's riding on the cryptowave.

And It's barely only 1$, the price could massively increase a lot more.
504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: January 08, 2018, 12:04:26 PM
I haven't been active in this board for some time now, I was busy with other stuff.

It looks like the project is going very well, the price is rising by the looks of it.

I think 2018 will be a great year for Synereo. I am very satistied with the progress so far, good luck  Grin

The last public model is published. This is the last model I publish here for free, the rest of my research will not be published, instead if anyone wants to know the better models that I will discover in the future, just contact me and I can sell it. Or I can sell the daily or weekly forecasts to people who are interested. Just contact me.

The last model is currently the best one that I know, it has a fairly decent predictive edge, so in theory it should be profitable, it should in theory give an edge over the market, over the other traders.

Can you forecast the price of the bitcoin for the next 6 months, please? What would be the price for this forecast? I'm a physicist (not a statistician) and I'll try to learn from your article (at steemit) your methods. They seem very good, and if this could predict the price of the bitcoin in the next 6 months-one year this would be extraordiary. Mainly I am interested if the bitcoin price will crash after 10000-12000 or will continue to grow until 25000-30000 in the next two years.

I haven't ended my research yet, it's still in progress, but I doubt it can accurately forecast 6 months ahead.

I will use daily or weekly forecasts instead when I am ready. Stay tuned.
506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero Lightweight Wallet on: January 08, 2018, 12:01:24 PM
any news on xmr lightweight wallet?

I think you can use the official wallet as light wallet by just ataching it to a node and disabling blockchain download.

The way I understand the XMR main wallet works is not like the BTC wallet. The XMR wallet already supports a proxy connection type like Electrum.

There was a guide on the XMR subreddit how to set it up, I don't have the link.
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: EtherDelta - Decentralized Token Exchange on: November 03, 2017, 06:43:32 AM
Tell me, please, how to start the exchange locally on the computer? Download the exchange code from Github. When you run index.html, a redirect to etherdelata.com takes place. That is, the exchange does not start locally. Thank you.

You need to setup your own server for that, there has to be a server that interacts with the ethereum contract API.

There is a server demo on github I believe.

Haven't been in this thread in ages. So what's the latest going on for the project?

I recommend you follow the blog and newsletter for updates.
https://blog.synereo.com/2017/10/23/wildspark-going-mainstream/

Keep up the good work, don't let the trolls affect you. It's been a long journey and I see the project going in the right direction in my opinion. I think exciting times will come, I love the revamped website. I think this will be a succesful project. Good job so far!  Smiley
509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: November 03, 2017, 12:51:04 AM
I think things are getting better now seeing just the volume on this thread alone. It used to be like just 2-3 trolls here, but now there is a decent discussion going on, that is already positive sign if you ignore the noise coming from Diego24 and cchub who are known old trolls.

I haven't been active here recently but I will write on my blog soon about this.

Diego24 is not a troll.

I don't think of you as a troll also, if you provide good information instead of your 150.000 ROI shit. Maybe AMP is good but you scare investors with worthless information.

No that 150,000 ROI was misunderstood by you and Diego. I have explained it already 4 times what I meant by that, search back, I will not explain it again. But I didn't lied, you just misinterpreted it.

You are such a retard that it is unbelievable. No, they better listen to you, the guy that was saying at 21k that everyone should hurry and buy AMP because it would never be that cheap again. Few months later now ... price crashed with 90 %.

OH yes, your steemit blog with all these followers you have with a combined net worth of several billion dollars that would make AMP go to the moon because of your posts. We know how that story went ...

Cut the crap. Since Synereo announced they we're going to sell their founder AMP, serious investors will not touch AMP anymore. I am not going to jump in it so Synereo can dump their coins at my expense. But you are you too blind and burned to see that, mr 150.000 % Roi.

My posts are not investment advice, they are just my opinion, and I have a right to express my thoughts and opinions. So how is it my fault that people bought when the price crashed 90%, like it's my fault that the price crashed 90% ?

You don't think I have lost money too? But regardless, I think this project is solid and it has a very good team behind it. I haven't sold.

What happens with the market I have no idea, probably a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes, but the project is solid, so I think the market has to factor that in eventually.

Users are coming, website revamped.... Really this project is now moving foreward, so I'd expect the market to react to that.

There are some updates with my research, I made a tool to process the data from Blockchain.info:
* https://steemit.com/programming/@profitgenerator/forecasting-adventures-4-processing-blockchain-info-s-data

So now I have everything that I need to further analyze the data using traditional means, and then compare those results with the results the [DEMO] LINEAR CRYPTO FORECASTING TOOL 2.6 will give.

Then I will start working on my private model that I sell to people who will need forecasts. I can only do this as a hobby in my spare time so it might take a couple of weeks. Stay tuned.

Can somebody, an expert, explain to me clearly and honestly why Monero does not go with the big block strategy?[/b]

Monero has a dynamic block size. Blocks will increase in maximum capacity automagically as more transactions are included on a consistent basis. Of course, on chain scaling has limitations, so off-chain stuff like some kind of lightning implementation are being looked at as well I think.

I see, I must have heard the idea from shills. It looks like competitor shills are spewing out a lot of disinformation.

I have always thought that Monero has a small block size, without looking into it, since I have read most stuff from the forum that some shills might have posted.

I am glad to see Monero being so flexible and innovative. The better it is, the more the trolls and competitor shills try to bring it down.
514  Economy / Services / BTC/USD Forecasting Service on: October 24, 2017, 08:07:49 PM
Hello, I have 10+ years of experience in financial markets, especially statistical analysis of markets, so I can offer my forecasting skills as a service to people who want to approximate the price of any market into the future.

I have also developed some free demo tools, written mostly in Python 3.5+, which is FREE that I give out for free so that you can check my claims by yourself. Whatever I will sell to you will be much better that that!

Free Tools:

What you Need To Know:

First you need to know some things about my methods, I use LOG based absolute error measurements, not RMS and bullshit like that, since that is heavily biased and I don't know why any statistician would use such things, as explained here.

So when you see things like 0.1 LN, that means an error rate of that relative to the natural logarithm. Since logs are additive, we can also calculate an average for them. So it's much better to work with that. I call this LN Error.

I also have another benchmark which I call Predictive Edge, which is based on Theil’s U value. Basically it counts how much better our model is compared to random guessing. Anything over 0 is a theoretical edge over the market, so it should theoretically be profitable, giving a positive expectancy for a trader, and if it's below 0, then that model is not profitable.

Public Model:

  • Explanation: https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@profitgenerator/forecasting-adventures-9-final-research
  • Data: Daily BTC/USD Data  + Daily Transaction Fees USD
  • Method: Transform the Price with the LN function, make the Regressor cumulative and then transform it by the LN function. Run the Model on the transformed data either backtest or forecast, and then transform back the fitted/forecasted values with the EXP() function.
  • Model: ARIMAX(0,1,1){ LN(cumulative_transaction-fees-usd.csv)_1 } with constant
  • Coefficients: You have to calculate them yourself from the historical data, since it varies by the data
  • Estimated LN Error:               0.031060897872341 LN
  • Estimated Predictive Edge:    0.012481538

Private Model:

Coming Soon, Stay tuned!

I am doing research now, later I will provide my forecasting values for sale.

515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: October 17, 2017, 03:56:23 AM
Hey I have a serious question to the Monero community.

So after I realized that Dash is potentially inferior in every aspect, perhaps except the community aspect, but Monero is getting more mainstream too nowadays. And we know Zcash and others are bad too.

So Monero has all the cool features, privacy, anonymity, decent community (not full of shills and trolls) and a pretty good research and development team.

But there is 1 issue with Monero, a big one: SCALING

Why the hell does Monero align itself with the retarded small blocker camp? The more I research it, the more obvious it is to me that the small blockers in Bitcoin, Bitcoin Core, have just done horrible damage to Bitcoin's scalability and adoption (literally over 80% of the world earns less daily income than your BTC tx fee). In fact I think some Core developers have worked in Monero, so there is some tight alliance there.

I have heard some rumors about adding Segwit or something similar to Monero, when if you do any research on it, it clearly shows how inferior it is the soft fork segwit, it creates this colored coin environment controlled by the miners. We do bash Dash for it's masternode setup, but for some reason Segwit controlled by the miners is not a big deal.

Look I am no technical expert but every evidence points towards big blocks being the good scaling solution.

Can somebody, an expert, explain to me clearly and honestly why Monero does not go with the big block strategy?

Hitting the First Major Milestone

@Synereo | Synereo Co-Founder Anderson Mccutcheon presenting https://wildspark.me while delivering keynote @ Future & Reality of Gaming, Vienna

Finally some good news, I knew this will be an amazing project, I was just getting impatient seeing the price and the attitude of other people. But I never doubted the project itself.

Furthermore it was really time to move ahead, so I await all the exciting new moves from the team, looks like we will have an amazing 2018 year.

Another all-time-low. Price below 2000 satoshi soon!
Now the price at historic lows. Do you think the price will go for the 1000?

Might go to 100,000 instead in my opinion.
517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: October 13, 2017, 02:21:31 AM
The silence in this thread is terrifying. Where are all those people now that said buying at 20k was still cheap ? It is down now with 90 %. Hello, profitgenerator ... the guy that said everyone was going to get rich if they listened to him .

Hey you missed me or what. I was pretty busy this week, unlike you I have a life and I spent some time with my wife, I don't have all day to sit here and troll.

The Synereo project is still being heavily developed, what can I say, at this point I am just sitting back and watching what will unfold of it.

I am not scared of the price either, I know that there are some market manipulators out there who deliberately make the price low so that they can buy cheap.

So I am not selling, I look for a massive bullish market that I think will come eventually.

Quote
the guy that said everyone was going to get rich if they listened to him .

I didn't said that.
518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: VERITASEUM DISCUSSION THREAD on: October 04, 2017, 09:55:59 PM
While Reggie may be working like a horse selling millions of VERI to institutions/governments/etc, he certainly won't be happy selling them for USD 60+ instead of USD 100+.

So even though it is affected by "amateurs", the price tanking is still very much a relevant thing to Reggie (I believe).

Well you believe wrong, the price does not matter one bit at this moment, not for Reggie and not for me as an investor. I'm actually VERI happy with the tanking, I hope it stays this way so I can keep stacking.
It's a double-edged sword. While Reggie does have an interest in the price, it probably doesn't matter too much to him if he makes large sales now while it is cheap.
I agree it is time to pick up more, I have all I think I will ever need though. I can't lie though, if it could multiple a little bit though I would like to cash out some to fund some plans of mine Wink

I am not telling you what to do.

But in my experience cashing out of a rising star is the biggest mistake people can make in investing. It's actually the sinking boats that have to be abandoned ASAP or when the water is at your knees.

In my opinion VERI has a lot of potential, real world potential, not just mumbo jumbo shiny website but no project that most ICO tokens put out. It has a lot of energy behind it, so in my opinion it will be successful.

Now why on earth would somebody want to abandon something that can potentially be very successful?

Abandon a high probability positive thing to a low probability (uncertain) positive thing? I think that's foolish.
519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: EtherDelta - Decentralized Token Exchange on: October 04, 2017, 07:18:24 PM
eth network is bloated as hell these days, to top the fact that etherdelta lacks basic trading facilities. hope a real exchange on the eth blockchain will launch soon

The word "bloated" is so misused here ,in fact people misuse it always.

The correct term would be overloaded.

Bloated refers to the code, sort of meaning innefficiency, which ETH is actually. It is badly coded so it's slower compared to other concepts like EOS. But the block size is problematic too.

There was a statistic showing that ED transactions are actually filling up the ETH blocks with an about 50% ratio. That is impressive, ED requires a lot of volume then.

Is it absolutely necessary for a decentralised exchange to execute all trades through the blockchain? Or is it something how ED has preferred to do it? I'm not a developer so I wouldn't know, I'm just curious.

They could add a microwallet service, but that would introduce centralization and custodianship, which further complicates the matters even legally.

It is my opinion that all transactions should be on the blockchain, that is why I am not a big fan of Segwit and all this LN hype, it's basically a centralized middlemen.

ETH can damn well raise it's block size or block capacity whatever it's called, it hardforked in the past too, so what is the big deal, they are not purists anyway.

Shocked Cool

There will be a free Air-Drop of XBRL-Populous-Tokens to all loyal PPT holders. More details to follow from Pop.

" XBRL is a global standard for exchanging business information which is freely available. It's also currently used to define and exchange financial information, such as a company’s financial statements. XBRL allows the expression of semantic meaning commonly required in business reporting. We have built a XBRL back-end which forms part of our in-house credit reference system and targeted marketing database, currently we update the UK company financial statements of more than 2 million companies daily prior to when they file their financial annual accounts to the UK Companies House. " ...

What do you mean free air-drop. I have been out of the loop for 2 weeks, what happened to PPT, I see the price didnt moved yet. Any news about the beta?
