501  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin using or need! Vs stable coins on: October 28, 2019, 10:11:39 AM
nowadays there are a lot of troubles with us dollars money transfers between companies.
maybe it is because of sanctions or money clearance, or weapons traders or I do not what ever more reasons exist, but the problem is there
you may give to bank all necessary invoices and papers, make the transfer and wait 1 month money to come to other party!! One, damn, month!
I guess to counter such cases - people may have to need bitcoin!

Transactions between companies are a little bit more complex. In my experience many of those papers are for important things & AML procedures are nothing to kid about. However a month is totally exagerrated unless there were some serious iregularities with where the money came from. International bank transfers shouldn't take more than 3-5 working days nowadays.

If there is nothing the agencies found to be more than interesting. But unfortunately there is always something more than interesting. And they would want to know more. They need more documentations and papers and evidences. And they need more time.

Bitcoin will make the transaction finished in a matter of minutes, hours at the most if the network is busier than usual.
502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Jersey Issued Cease-And-Desist Order to Steven Seagal on: October 28, 2019, 09:50:29 AM
State of New Jersey Bureau of Securities has released a cease-and-desist order to an ICO endorsed by film actor Steven Seagal.
Click here to read more: Steven Seagal

Be more specific on the project itself, not on the endorser. The endorser does not have anything to do with the project itself or the ICO he is endorsing unless he is a partner. If not they do not mean anything to the credentials of the project. I guess Steven Seagal is just acting the way Mayweather did to Centra.

By the way, why did the SEC issued a cease-and-desist order to the ICO? I am more interested on this. I didn't click the link. I am not trusting, I am sorry.
503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do people still create new ERC20 tokens/projects nowadays? on: October 28, 2019, 09:29:09 AM
I was wondering if ERC20 tokens are still useful today and if people still create projects around them? I know the ICO 'feast' is kind of over and that was the main purpose people were launching these tokens for.

Greetings to the community,

Liviu

Yes, I believe so. Although since the ICO craze has died down, new crypto projects are also decreasing in number unlike before when tens of new projects are coming out everyday. And options are also growing right now. Before, the Ethereum platform was almost the only blockchain that offers smart contracts. The Ethereum platform played the role of monopolizing new crypto projects' tokens.
504  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 📖 🌟 Trader's Golden Rules Book 📖 🌟 on: October 28, 2019, 08:59:11 AM
Volume may not be everything. Nowadays when volume is being cheated by exchange platforms, it is hard to trust the volume indicated. Most of the exchanges are reporting false volumes. And even the volume that seems to be the actual volume is being achieved only through the bots that are playing more than the real traders.

True, most exchange use bots to fake volume. However, I believe on keep your ears open. Positive news, statements, developments or announcements can cause market hype and can increase the demand and volume in no time.

Yes, so we should be able to see these things as most of them has fake volume and it is not good to trade with trading bots. Yes, they are having a bot, just for them to make themselves having a good volume so they can attract traders, so let us watch over it if we want to trade, choose the right trading platform.

That's the reason why I only go on reputable exchange so that I will make sure to trade with nothing to worry since as I've see there are so many scam exchange who have fake volumes which can trap us since we provably sell on desired price. But if people can't avoid it since there coin is listed there better to wait for several minutes and study the market flow before going your first entry it's better to safety than to regret later on the decisions made.

Because of assertiveness, these people tend to risk their coins with non reputable exchanges even without checking their trading walkthrough. Most cases after falling to scammers trap, huge funds involved has higher potential to get lost in the end. At first I wasn't particular on trading volumes while I wasn't yet too skilled in trading, but now I am making it sure for my holdings to be entrusted at legit and popular exchanges like for example binance.

Yes volume and reputation is the most important aspect before using any exchange as I have been a victim myself on this exchange named coinbene wherein I had to forcefully do a trade at lesser profit due to bot trading and exchange my asset at a price which gives me lesser profit because whenever I tried to place a buy order these bot will place buy order as well with slightly higher figure and it went on for 90 minutes until I could trade, That's why even I prefer Binance which is trusted by all and secure without any bot trading. Never go for low volume exchanges.

I would prefer to trade a coin with a bit lower volume for as long as the majority of it is from real traders and not from bots. Although I have to admit that every single trading platform has bots playing around the prices and the buy and sell orders, at least more than 70% should be real traders. Even Binance has bots if I am not mistaken, but the good thing about Binance is that it has a high volume brought about by real persons trading.
505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Want 10x profits in quick time? WAVES can be one of the coin you must buy now. on: October 28, 2019, 08:37:08 AM
I am not doubting the quality of Waves. Waves has been a long member of the crypto world and has been up and down as a coin in popularity. The last time it took a very strong rally was when it started its vostok project. But from that time onward, it seems that Waves has lost the momentum. Right now, Waves is a little bit stuck in its rank. If anyone wants to buy Waves, it should be long term and not for quick 10x, as the OP is saying.
506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinions on XRP for long term investment (BEGINNER) on: October 28, 2019, 08:16:24 AM
Ripple (XRP) is much better if set as a long term investment rather than on a short term. It is one of the consistently top altcoins. It has been ranked third over all for a long time. In fact, it has snatched away the second rank from Ethereum several times. If you buy XRP, you must be ready for a longer HODLing period. Do not buy XRP if you want a quick gain. HODL XRP until it reaches around 2$. That is very possible. The stronger bull run will give that to XRP.
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will China start Altcoin Season on: October 28, 2019, 07:54:06 AM
We hope that the chinese government will actually pick one or more altcoins and build something on them or adopt them in one of their future projects. But that is unlikely. The government itself is capable of developing its own blockchain project which issues an alternate cryptocurrency. Why would a very powerful and rich country adopt an altcoin that is not of their own making? Our hope is that the whole country will welcome existing crypto projects for possible partnerships.
508  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Isis leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi killed! on: October 28, 2019, 04:53:53 AM
Who cares? I mean really, who cares about some scumbag's death. Well, I guess it would be a good idea to publish an article when I'll kill a mosquito.

When someone who is considered the top wanted terrorist in the whole world died, I guess the news will publish articles on it. When someone who is elusive from authorities despite so many crimes that cannot be counted anymore finally falls, people will definitely talk and discuss about it, celebrate, and take a breath of relief. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is not just your ordinary mosquito.
509  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Blockchain Bring change into Africa? on: October 28, 2019, 04:21:34 AM
With the high levels of corruption in most African countries, I believe that the blockchain technology would be the very thing that this continent needs. It will undoubtedly make everything transparent so that every person would be able to see exactly what's going on and thus prevent high levels of corruption and fraud by most of our so called leaders and politicians.

The vast majority of the African leaders are corrupt and that is the reason why 99% of the population still lives in poverty even though the continent is very rich in natural resources. Take the case of Nigeria for example. This country has huge deposits of crude oil and natural gas, but even then the vast majority of the people still lives in abject poverty.

And this means that the politicians will stand against the integration of Blockchain technology in crucial domains, such as banking and stock market. If it is implemented, then Blockchain will make it possible to track the dirty money being accumulated by these people.

Another factor, which may be bigger than the deeply-rooted corruption in many African countries, is the manipulation and influence of powerful countries especially western countries on them. Many African leaders are puppets of huge companies or powerful governments. These local leaders are elected out of the money of these external powerful players. Their local resources are developed, exploited, and taken out from them by foreign powers. Do they really have the power to say no? I don't think so. If blockchain will stop this problem, then blockchain will not be able to enter their territories.
510  Economy / Economics / Re: The Economic Analysis of Demand for Bitcoin on: October 28, 2019, 03:53:43 AM

On the contrary, if the current rate of interest is lower than the critical rate, people will convert all their securities into cash.
Now coming to Bitcoin. Bitcoin does not follow the principle of speculation demand as laid down by Keynes because its characteristics are very much similar to the securities considered by Keynes for this analysis. Hence speculation demand for bitcoin has different approach. Its speculation demand depends upon the relative rate of return. If the anticipated return on Bitcoin is higher than other securities, people will hold Bitcoins for speculation motive and vice-versa.

Any suggestions, questions, different approaches, views, doubts are welcome.
But the fact that everyone wants to hold bitcoins will create a big hole. You should know that all the value of bitcoin is now manipulated and its price is very high. Think about it, for those who hold several thousand bitcoins, they always expect people to increase the demand to buy bitcoins to sell at high prices.
In fact, bitcoin has no value but it is manipulated. Everyone knows this, so it is not right that many people want to buy bitcoin.

Define manipulation before anything else. The Bitcoin market is always manipulated by different factors. But only a portion of it is directly manipulated by the whales. Billions of USD are being traded 24-7 on so many crypto exchange sites all over the world by millions of different traders. The value of Bitcoin is largely dependent on these trades because these trades are the ones that determine the demand of Bitcoin. Everybody wants the price of Bitcoin to increase but because no one can manipulate directly the market at all times, there are unavoidable dumps every now and then.
511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When Inviting Do Away With The Investment Part First on: October 28, 2019, 03:31:59 AM
If you are going to successfully invite people to look at Cryptocurrency, you should Do Away With The Investment Part First
the first thing is to explain how it was created and the creator's idea, why it was created and what are the benefits
if you make the investment part first chances are people will look at it as a Ponzi Scheme and they will shun it.

It depends on the person you are talking to. If the person you are talking to is educated enough, he will not take whatever it is that you are saying as the truth. They will surely do their own initiative to know cryptocurrency more. And why would you even include the investment part of cryptocurrency when you are talking to a newbie? He needs to learn the most basic of cryptocurrency first. It will start from definition of terms for sure.
512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin at the end of 2019? on: October 27, 2019, 03:22:08 PM
If the raise would continue and BTC dominance would fall to 50 percent, everything is possible. In this case, I would not wonder seeing ETH for 3k and LTC for 1k USD at the end of this year. But honestly, I do not believe in such a rapid increase.

That is too high a prediction within the year. There are only a few days left in October and then we only have November and December for that possibility. Ethereum right now is still valued less than $200. That is too far from $3,000. This is impossible to happen. Ethereum could manage to reach halfway though. The same with Litecoin. Perhaps $500 is a better goal for Litecoin for the rest of 2019.
513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market is Not Ready for Libra on: October 27, 2019, 02:59:12 PM
Unfortunately, Facebook initiated the Libra project. The company was involved in many data and privacy scandals. Consumer’s trust in Facebook is low. Another hurdle for Libra adoption is the public’s misunderstanding. Bitcoin is difficult to understand. Most people don’t have time to dive into its details. Its price fluctuates wildly. They don’t see benefits of cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin has as many critics as believers. The public has not accepted a crypto future. To normal people, Libra is another effort by big corporations to intrude and control their lives.

Is this really a problem?

People don't understand fiat money and use it every day. They don't understand quantitative easing but does that stop fiat in any way?

The Internet also had as many critics as believers.

Somebody has to be the first to pave the way.

The market being ready or not is not the issue here. The market is just there. Sell something to the market to test whether your product is acceptable or not. There are so many products and projects that did not make a good outcome in the market. So be it. The good thing there is that they were allowed to enter the market. Let the market players decide. The problem with libra is not the market. It is the government stopping it. If libra is bad enough for being associated with Facebook then let the market decide that by not adopting it. Let the project die naturally just like a lot of crypto projects.
514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ✅[ANN] DeepOnion ONION New Private Currency ✅ Own ONION Now & Discover Privacy ✅ on: October 27, 2019, 02:39:09 PM
Bringing ONION to #Venezuela achieved 100+ accounts on this thread https://deeponion.org/community/threads/bringing-onion-to-venezuela.41881/
Now we are going to start interacting with those accounts on Twitter, for expansion, chances are Venezuelans can start using ONION for their daily transactions, this will help them to get out of their dictator!

We will use #ONION2Venezuela + other powerful hashtags!
Find this task at #VoteCentral

But do businesses in that country accepting Onions? The possibility that the citizens of Venezuela will be resorting to cryptocurrencies as their main mode of payment is very high. But the problem is that there should be users both in terms of buyers and sellers. The market is made up of those two players. If Venezuelans will buy Onions, will they be able to spend it in their stores there? And I can see that Onion is falling down in prices. They might be caught in a similar scenario with their fiat.
515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to choose a good project to invest. on: October 27, 2019, 02:07:02 PM
How to choose a good investment project
I understand that many of us do not suggest investing in ICO but I have to say not every ICO scam, invest in IEO no matter how much the stock exchange is better than investing in ICO.
However, these steps help to judge the project.
1.   The team behind the project, it is extremely important to see who guides the project, experiments, are they able to implement the road map.
2.   The idea of the project, what the project solve, is the project can change something or introduce something new.
3.   What has been done and are there any steps the team is taking to prove credibility.
4.   Is the project is ICO or IEO, IEO will be better.
5.   How many exchanges the project listing.
6.   The type of the exchanges(however this is not issues as some project cannot go with top exchanges, top exchanges required a lot money).

I have already read all kinds of tips about investing on ICO or IEO. But at the same time, I have also read all kinds of complaints about having scammed or victimized by ICO or IEO in so many ways.

To those who are planning to invest in ICO or IEO, plan hard and well. Or if you do not have plans and have no plan to study the available ICOs or IEOs first before investing, do not invest at all. Buy the existing coins which are already listed on exchanges, have good volume and market cap, and with existing products and development.

517  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is Life Worth Living? on: October 27, 2019, 01:25:50 PM
With the current situation we found ourselves, we woke up to sad news, we can't sleep with both eyes closed.

Disaster srikes
Loved one dies
Spouse is unfaithful
Your seriously ill
Life is unbearable

Can we really end it now?

You may end it now but think about it, if you do that, would that give you a much better life? No, because you already lost your one and only. Life is beautiful not in the absence of all those things that you mentioned. Life is beautiful in spite of all those. Those things are always around us. Can we avoid disasters, illness, betrayal in whatever kind, death of loved ones, and so many others? No, never in this life. The beauty of life is always found in between sorrows.

518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you explain the recent surge in Bitcoin price? on: October 27, 2019, 01:03:59 PM
The recent news I read is that the Chinese government is starting to take an interest in crypto businesses and they are ready to support and develop this new industry.
This is probably the main reason why the price of bitcoin and alts in China soared on October 26.

You read the wrong news my friend. Chinese President said the government should adopt blockchain technology and make sure it is ahead with innovation and development of tech. He said it before also many times, China is not unfriendly toward technology!

But blockchain is not necessarily crypto and China does not like Bitcoin in the past.
Maybe it bring impacts since Chinese investors are good assessing the potentials, if they are really moved back into this game they can
create good numbers of people who will buy and hold bitcoin for investment purposes. Everything is just a speculative guess but it can't be
denied that due to numbers of Chinese people, if they are going to invest while waiting for whatever the president is up behind this innovations
with working with blockchain, there's impact that will take place.

The rest of the world is much bigger than china. The rest of the world's population is much larger than china's. The rest of the world getting into Bitcoin and crypto offers much more possibilities to Bitcoin and crypto than just china alone. We need to give china its due but we must not forget that with or without china, Bitcoin will continue to find the success it is destined to achieve.
519  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency usage will boost economy or make it worst ? on: October 27, 2019, 12:42:50 PM
What if all those big corporates and businesses starts using crypto as a mode of payment just to avoid tax which will cause a direct loss to the government which uses tax for the betterment of the country. This might not affect corrupt countries as it doesn't matter because tax money goes to politician's coffers but what about developed nations?

Tax is the primary and largest source of income of the government and as such, they are very important for the continuous operation of government services as well as the continuous implementation of various projects. Without tax, the government will surely die. We do not want this for sure. So even if the businesses are already accepting cryptocurrencies, they should still be responsible enough to pay the government their proper due. Crypto is not made to get away from taxes anyway. That should be clear to everyone.
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Success factors of a project on: October 27, 2019, 12:22:07 PM
Projects with the right team and financial power will make a formidable team and their project will be huge success. Recently, many projects have  failed because they lack the right team and also not having the financial power to make some drastic movement in project development. I once participated on a project with good team and the financial wills, their project was a huge success at the end, so, this factors matters a lot for a project to succeed.
After having a good detailed project or product and dedicated team there must be a team that are good to market too, it is a must so when they need to develop more their product it can be known by other investors that are doubtful and can attract more possible investors to keep their product alive in the market.

A smart marketing strategy is of course necessary for a lot of companies to get to the ears of the investors, especially the institutional investors whose investment is a lot of more significant from small individual investors. However, if their project is below quality, any kind or amount of marketing strategies will be useless. Marketing strategies are important if there is something worth marketing. If the project is shit in itself, it will still end up dead even with a very brilliant and aggressive marketing steps.
