I originally believed in XRP but it does seem Ripple is going around selling its wares on the back of XRP in my opinion. XRP provided the capital yet may not even be part of the Ripple event in the long-term because they are 2 different entities.
The way I make money on Ripple is buy it when its under 19c and sell it when its 20+ beyond that I can't see it delivering.

Putting some of XRP to escrow would definetely move the price up a bit.
But what really interesting for the coming few days is BTC correction just started.
Ripple price in BTC (and slightly in $) will go up - this is 100% info. Already did actually +5% in BTC.
BTC correction is expected to be 15% - so +10% for XRP price in BTC is expected as well.
Makes sense?
BTC usually was correcting 20% from ATH, with 5-15% as bonus, that bring 25-35% correction, ATH was 7600, so it can go down to 5000-5500. But, some positive news can put bull market upwards. Just in Sept/Aug we had overall Market Cap ~130, now BTC holds it on its own, personally would prefer BTC to go to 200 market cap, than XRP can be easily pump to 2 USD |

Right now very nice to invest in these two coins 'altcoin and bitcoin'. For altcoin this is the right time and the right opportunity to buy and hold because now almost all coins are dropped, then wait for it to rise. Second is bitcoin, we know that bitcoin is now very fast and steady increasing its value so it's very nice to buy or invest in it, you need a timing before you buy just wait for the price to go down then buy.

The dump at the moment hurts a bit, even for me as a long time holder of XRP. But correlated with the actual price of BTC, the decrease isn't that significant. XRP is standing at 0.21$ now, 30% higher than during the dip in the middle of august. On the first look, swell might be disappointing. On the second look is networking exactly that thing, which Ripple needs to become introduced into a wider market and into a general public.
Those charts are irrelevant, the only chart that matters is XRP/BTC not the XRP/USD XRP/USD is driven by current position of the BTC, fantastic performance of BTC means something completely opposite to XRP's performance. We are reaching Half year lows XRP/BTC with massive 45% drop during the most important conference which questioning essential foundations of XRP. This speaks for itself. Wrong. All these comparisons from BTC with altcoins are overdue. Only showing who is stuck in the past without comprehending what the future will be about. As long as I have to pay my bills in fiat, the most relevant chart for me is altcoin/USD. Furthermore it is the only chart, which shows the real marketcap of a project. The only common thing of BTC and XRP is: They are both cryptocurrencies. Thats all. Otherwise they have different usecases, are serving different markets, are following different goals. Speaks for itself, if you try to compare them. When XRP will build enough liquidity (Thanks to acceleration program and xRapid), it will get more independence from BTC. |

I prfer go fiat or alt after every ATH becouse it always dips again.
Fiat = tax though. No point going there unless you intend to spend the money or diversify into stocks. Only when you move money out of exchange though? |

I still don't get why riplle made swell conference, they didn't exhibit enough for it. They could just sponsor any blockchain bank event, and save money for merchandise and bring same people. So much useless p.r. Dissapointed  Because their intention was to promote blockchain and build partnership. And guess what, you are too small and too useless that no-one cares about your disappointment. |
