5001  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can keyloggers store your wallet password if you use on-screen keyboard? on: July 12, 2016, 05:18:01 PM
A few keyloggers have a system to take screenshots when you are using on-screen keyboard(or those sites where they give you a little numpad and you have to click the numbers)
just be careful, keep your system clean and if possible use linux (vm can help with that)

Thank you for the reply. I've got Malwarebytes, BitDefender, Trojan Killer, AntiLogger and a few more apps I'm scanning my system daily with but you never know when you can get a new keylogger/virus that will steal all your funds... Cheesy
This is the absolute worst thing I've seen so far.

1. C O N F L I C T S - The antivirus would see the other antivirus as a virus, and vice versa.
2. System load - more than one antivirus is just... No. It will also be worsened by #1
3. Blatantly unnecessary - An antivirus usually detects 99% of malware. Also see #1 and #2.
4. Infinite-loop quarantine - When an antivirus quarantines a file, the other antivirus grabs the quarantined file. The first one detects this and takes the file from the second antivirus. The cycle repeats. Results in #2

Just... Don't for the love of god.

I'm not running all of them at the same time. BitDefender is the one running 24/7. Trojan Killer can only run in Safe Mode, where I disable all the other apps. AntiLogger has just the keys encryption turned on, and I got the free version of MalwareBytes which doesn't offer real time protection. The free version requires you to start the scan, it doesn't start automatically. I've never had problems with them running together like laggs, freezes or anything else. And before I heard of TrojanKiller I used Kaspersky, then I moved to AVG, and then to BitDefender. None of them found a virus on my PC, TrojanKiller did. I know about antivirus conflicts. When you install one of the ones I got and you have a conflicting software, they will ask for your permission to uninstall it.
5002  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin rose to $1M, what you do? on: July 12, 2016, 05:05:47 PM
I'd buy a luxury house somewhere in Hollywood with part of it, and with the rest.. I'd just live like a millionaire 'till the day I die Cheesy
5003  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can keyloggers store your wallet password if you use on-screen keyboard? on: July 12, 2016, 03:05:28 PM
I think it might thwart the operation of the more simple keyloggers. However more sophisticated malware will do screenshots or monitor your mouse movements as well. After all, graphical password entry is part of quite a few significant online banking front-ends, so malware developers will be aware of the possibility.

Adding multiple virus scanners will not significantly increase your security, but primarily slow down your system. There is no 100% security, but the most important contribution is user behavior when doing things online. Not visiting questionable sites and not downloading files or opening attachments from unverified sources is a huge contribution to security.

But if you have a larger amount of Bitcoin that you do not need for daily purchases I would strongly recommend using paper wallets for long term storage.

ya.ya.yo!

Having multiple virus scanners won't slow down my system, or at least it's not noticeable for mine. I know there's no 100% security, this is why I said you never know when you can get infected. I'm usually sending the suspicious files/websites to a few antivirus/malware research labs, waiting for their reply after a detailed look before accessing them.

5006  Other / Beginners & Help / Can keyloggers store your wallet password if you use on-screen keyboard? on: July 12, 2016, 12:08:03 PM
Since today I'm going to be more careful at threats that could steal my passwords such as keyloggers and other viruses, so I was just wondering.. Can a keylogger store the password you're inputting from an on-screen keyboard (the Windows one)? If yes, which softwares are you using to make sure there's no possibility for your wallet password to be stolen?
5007  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: which wallet that needs no syncing? on: July 12, 2016, 10:48:49 AM
I'm using Blockchain.info. I don't know why, but I see it as a safer way to deposit my money than an offline wallet and I can use the website anywhere I go with ease. It doesn't need to sync.
5008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: July 12, 2016, 10:34:03 AM
Gambling is addictive, but you should know that it's always all about dreaming of being a millionaire. No, you can't just go there in a casino and get a million dollars from just five bucks. If you like gambling, just go there like one time a week and play with just a few bucks. That won't bankrupt you. Don't be greedy though, because that would make you loose more and more. If it would've been this easy to win money, there would have been no casinos in this world. If you want to totally get rid of the gambling life, find a hobby. Play sports, do something. If you like money that much, start trading with a small amount.. Who knows? Maybe one day you'll come back here as a billionaire Cheesy You never know what life can bring you.
5009  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice 4 ! | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: July 12, 2016, 10:28:08 AM
I just found out today (my second day of logging in), that, because I am a US citizen, I can only play for free. **pouts** That really sucks... Not that i was going to deposit anything for a while, but yeah... It's not like our government acknowledges Bitcoin as anything, I mean they certainly don't accept it to pay them in taxes... so... **shifts eyes and mumbles something about greedy-tax-slurping-bastards**

Some people suggested some ways around it, but heck, I don't know how to use proxies or anything like that; besides, it's kinda cheating the rules at that point.
The best (and nearly trustless) way around this is to use a VPN to connect to PD. Your IP address will make it appear as if you are accessing PD from a country that you are not actually in, one that they allow people to play from.

I don't think that is legal though. If it's illegal to gamble online with BTC in US, using a Proxy/VPN is probably illegal.
5010  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When right timing to join signature camp? on: July 12, 2016, 10:23:05 AM
I think a decent time to join the signature campaign is when you reach Sr.member. because for me you will get paid a decent or high enough to each post you make. but if you think to get immediate bitcoin, is not so bad if you have already started to join when jr.member.

I don't think it bothers you to earn a few bucks per week until you become a Sr. Member! It's money.. money doesn't bother anyone when it comes to receiving Cheesy
5011  Other / Off-topic / Re: Earning a living with bitcoin? on: July 12, 2016, 10:16:53 AM
We all talk about the possibility of earning a living with bitcoins.
But do you actually do that, or know somebody who does it?
Yes, I'm doing it. I'm currently doing a full time job in bitcoin and Im earning atleast 10usd a day. My job includes captcha typing job, signature campaign and a little bit of poker.

i doubt you'll get $10 a day with that, captcha gives too little and i see that you're from yobit
which gives 4 mbtc a day for full member if you finish you post count, poker will not guarantee a profit
$10 is too high for this jobs that you are doing.

He's probably doing something else except these three things he mentioned. As he said, his job includes captcha typing, sig campaign and poker. Captcha typing is a waste of time in my opinion, I spent like three to four hours with no pause to get just $0.5 to $1....
5012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone ever stop gambling? but then gamble again? on: July 12, 2016, 10:07:49 AM
Yes, it happened to me. Last autumn I decided to finally leave the gambling life. However, it took only a few months (until December) before I started gambling again. I wanted to leave because of the continuous losses. Now I'm back, but I'm not depositing any BTC left. I'll just play with small amounts, like faucets. Stay safe! And don't be greedy Cheesy
5013  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: EU seeks tighter control over cryptocurrency on: July 12, 2016, 09:58:21 AM
Guys, there is one thing you don't understand: The governments of this world are NOT here to bring us peace and to help us have a better life at all. They are here to implement their ideas, their plans. Plans that have been written for hundreds of years, and today can finally see their success. The governments are here to spy on us, to have every single move of us. Bitcoin is something that bothers them, because here we finally aren't in their eyes anymore. This is the reason they want to control the Bitcoin now too, NOT terrorism. Terrorism will be out there whatever we try. They NEED to have us under their control. Wake up guys, we are living a globalisation plan. And you can see this on the news happening day after day.

As a matter of fact, terrorism is just a good excuse for them to do what they doing. They are supposed to protect the citizens of their countries, and we expect that from them, because we pay taxes for them to do their job. The other side of the coin is, if your children gets killed in a Mall and you find out that it was funded by Bitcoin, you would turn against Bitcoin on a dime.

So let them do what they need to, to protect you and your family. The fine line between freedom and a police state, is not clearly defined. ^hmmmmm^

We do expect that from them, but we don't really get what we expect. Your children can get killed a mall and it can be funded by any other currency in this world too, they don't need Bitcoin to do it. Only a small part of the crimes are being funded by Bitcoin. And this won't change, because even with the highest control they would implement in this world, we will still have criminals and crimes will still take place. This is not an excuse to let them do whatever they want, because this "whatever they want" is actually against us. Their actions look like they are trying to do the best for us, but it's exactly the opposite. You can see that everywhere you look around. Yes, they do listen to some of our problems because they don't want to bring the chaos now. The governors themselves are criminals. We are paying taxes just to be their servants, because they do whatever they want. And we'll see this is becoming true when we will have to pay taxes for water, air and other stuff we shouldn't. We're already on the last few meters before their plans will be completely functional, and that will bring chaos in this world. We've been warned many times by a lot of famous people (e.g. 2pac, Michael Jackson), through their songs and speeches about what a disastrous world we will live in. They were killed for telling the truth. Now we are starting to finally open our eyes wide, and it's almost too late. The whole world is being controlled by just a few thousands of families..
5014  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin rose to $1M, what you do? on: July 12, 2016, 09:35:45 AM
These thread's are getting more and more hilarious.
We have already had like 200k $ per btc,1$ btc etc.etc.
When it is going to finish? dont dream about it,it is not possible for any crypto to reach 1million.
If you know how to do a basic math and have a little knowledge about economics, you will know that the max volume of bitcoin which is 21 million, if used by 7 billion people will give a high-time demand and result to a blowing price of 1bitcoin = million.

However, I do not think 7 billion people would use Bitcoin. Not now, maybe the next few generations will prefer it. But even one billion people using it could increase the price to as much as $100k. That would be awesome, most of us here on BTCTalk would be millionaires! Cheesy
5015  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin rise up to 800$ this year ? on: July 12, 2016, 09:18:33 AM
It obviously can. But I think we will see the highest price this winter or the next spring. People are expecting too much right now, some are saying the BTC price can triple its price in a minute, which is impossible.

Oh nice man Smiley , how much max earn you btc in the sign camp with your rank guys? Smiley , thank you man and good luck for you too  Grin

I get a max of about 0.00175BTC/week. If you want to join the Sig campaign I am in, here you go: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=907271.0. After you post your request for joining the campaign, don't expect any reply to it. Check the spreadsheet in the first page instead, the 2016 one and look for your name.

They should still have slots, yes. Just try it, why not? Cheesy But make sure you'll put the signature on your account before posting the request, or you'll be rejected. Also, follow the rules. GL

EDIT: It looks like 777Coin has better payments. I wanted to join it too, but heard of it not paying in the last weeks. Checked the thread again, it looks like they did a few days ago! Good choice, hope you get choosen! Cheesy
5018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: July 12, 2016, 08:04:03 AM
Yes .. it will fix your life, for a few days, weeks, months or a few years. But you'll then come back and say "oh come on, I did it once, it was so easy, let's do it one more time! I can't just loose all I have now" and you can. This is how casino owners are getting rich: making others poorer than they are. It's alright to try your luck with just $5, but don't gamble $1k just because you think you got luck. Because you will get bankrupt after a long run and will want to deposit more and more. This is my opinion..
